Received within 30 mins. Freshly cooked amazing flavours. Best Chinese ever! Have been using here over 20 years now and always GREAT!!!!

Food was delicious. We have ordered a few times with them before however yday was just great. The ginger and spring onion prawns were yummy!

I decided to try this chinese out of many. Firstly I didn't appreciate the fact that it's cash only, which is not advertised. Its only once you place your order is when you are told. The reception area is small & cluttered, with hardly any room for customers to manuvere. Food was over cooked, dry & bland. In fact it gave me an upset stomach for two days. The woman who took our order has no customer service & is money hungry. I will never ever order from this place again. Those who have left 5* review either are fake or have no working taste buds.

Melbourne are usually my go to Chinese and I'm not sure what went on here but it was all very synthetic tasting and really not pleasant. A shame.

the quality of the food was terrible, some tasted stale or worse expired. we had to spit out the seaweed. seaweed was also a weird colour. prawn crackers were stale. the rice was bland, no taste.

On chowmein dishes saturated in oil Chicken balls to small for the asking price and food tasted like metal

This time we are very disappointed with the quality of the food. Didn’t taste like is freshly cooked more like was done last night or hours before. Squid was very chewy and cold, chow main taste awful even prawn crackers were dry. I’m sorry to write this review as I’m loyal customer of Melbourne but on this occasion we HATED IT 😢😢😢

Not sure if there have been any recent changes, but we order from here regularly as it’s always been reliable, however this time our food tasted old, was cold and is now in the bin. Really disappointed.

Food was so bland! Rice was mushy, salt and pepper chicken was mainly batter with a hint of spice. Ribs had NO meat on at all. Only nice things were the chicken chow mein and chips

Been going here for over 28 years and always good food at good prices. We've tried almost everything, except seafood, and it's been very good. This isn't a high end restaurant so you need to set your expectations that this is a take away which fill you up. So if you want some good food at good prices, this is the place. Service is a generally good, but if you end up with one of the 'more mature' servers you may need to be a bit patient. Don't think they've ever got the order wrong which is also pretty amazing. It's a small take away so not really any atmosphere. Parking outside is limited and you need to pay before 6pm. If you are driving you may be able to stop on a yellow line and send someone in to collect it. Or park behind the station (free for 10 or 20 mins) or in Morrisons (2 hour limit). There is a disabled parking spot on the other side of the road, almost opposite it but not exactly opposite.

Missing items, the food quality has dropped significantly at this restaurant, have been using this takeaway for over 10 years, the last 18 months has seen drastic drop in standards. Clearly using cheap ingredients and no attention to detail. Can't understand why as the Melbourne was the best Chinese takeaway in Sutton for years. Obviously don't care about their loyal customers, quite happy to send out rubbish food.

Decided to try this Take Away to see if it was as good as my usual place but was disappointed. Tried the Tofu dishes and fried rice but a) the portions were not full and 2) the taste was pretty average with the sauces too sweet and the tofu not fried properly. The salt and pepper tofu was soggy and the egg fried rice was pretty bland.

Tasty food and good prices. I find most of the Chinese takeaways in the area are overpriced and the quality of the food is bad. The Melbourne always delivers a top quality meal everytime. Would highly recommend.

We ordered and thought it would take an hour. It arrived 15 minutes later! Noodles, chicken balls, curry and chilli beef were great. Egg fried rice wasn’t great sadly. Sweet n sour sauce was a bit thin too. But overall, I would order again.

Great meal overall. Was not a big fan of the ribs in deep fried salt and pepper . That was my first time ordering ribs prepared in that way. Overall the other meals I ordered were nice. Quick delivery too

Curry was watery/tasteless and chips were really bland. Disappointing since I waited so long for it.

suggested 35-50 mins delivery. Ordered at 18.42, got text at 19.22 to say on way, rang at 19.50 as not arrived. Unhelpful staff just said they were busy and she had 'pressed the wrong button' and it was going to be a further 10 mins - got impression it hadn't been cooked! when I complained she repeated that they were busy and had til 8pm to deliver it as I had specified as soon as possible. I said they wouldn't hit this target either! Didn't arrive until 8.05pm but they put 8pm on here!! whilst I accept they can be busy the confirmation didn't show such a delay and to wait 1hr 25 mins is unacceptable. Won't order again.

Food was warm not hot some of it cold and delivery took forever and time kept being extended which is frustrating as wouldn’t of ordered if I k ew it would take that long nearly 2 hours for a takeaway is pretty poor.

Super dodgy on uber eats. They have accepted my order and cancelled it in 20 seconds. They have told uber that they started preparing the food so I was charged for the whole meal without ever receiving anything. Stay away!!

This is one of the worst in Sutton. I think better to avoid. The lady sitting in-front of the counter really rude. She is like cash focused. Customer Service 0% Food 0% Better council should inspect food quality etc. Please avoid.

Dumplings were brown, it looks like old oil was used to pan fry them. They a0re not usually like this. It should be checked and redone rather than sending how they were.

Ordered set for take away. A bit disappointed with it. The food is not tasty as I expected and too greasy for me, and taste as they used the oil quite many times without changing. The sauce actually feels like a total oil. The rice and bean sprout dish are good. I have tried many Chinese take aways but this one actually at the bottom of my list now. Will definitely never come back.

The chicken curry was far too salty almost inedible. The duck was very small. The pancake roll was too greasy and finally the chow mien was only Luke warm. Very disappointing

The delivery came sooner than expected which was really good, but the food wasn’t up to its usual standard. The Singapore noodles were burnt and the crispy shredded beef was a brownish colour, not the usual red and tasted odd. Other than that, the Hong Kong style chicken was delicious as were the spring rolls and spicy chicken wings. Could’ve been better in terms of quality control, but there were some wins on the plate :)

Bland, wet and greasy, delivery was okay though.

Ordered at 7pm for 8pm delivery. That was then changed to 8.30 and then 10 minutes late. My friend who was visiting had to leave at just after 9pm so evening was spoilt.

First time of using and would 100% use again. Really tasty, quality food. Thank you!
