Megan's at the Griffin Restaurant (Kingston) in Kingston upon Thames

Came in quite late on Monday evening, and the staff were brilliant. So kind and lovely. The food was 10/10, I had the chicken and it was delicious. So soft and flavoursome. Nice vibes all around.

We love coming to Megan’s in Kingston. Lovely to sit in the big comfy chairs by the window and watch the world go by with delicious food and wine. The neighbour menu is fantastic value.

Atmosphere was great, I loved the lighting! Food took a little time to arrive but was good. Great drinks!!

Megan’s in Kingston offers a cozy atmosphere with excellent service. We enjoyed a cake, espresso and Biscoff latte. Special thanks to our server, Huda, for her warm and efficient service, making our visit memorable. Anyone visiting Megan’s should hope to be so lucky as to have Huda as their server. Zaki was a brilliant waiter - very attentive nice and make the experience a lot better! The food was great and so was the atmosphere.

Dropped in for a coffee and porridge breakfast.. LJ was serving...timely courteous, and efficient.. great cappuccino and porridge with tahini, compote, seeds and syrup.. 😋

DISAPPOINTMENT, NOT RECOMMENDED! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! This review comes after a second sitting. The first time I dined there it was a minor disappointment due to long food wait times, portion sizes that weren't filling, and a general lack of value for money just barely scraping by due to a very good cheerful and attentive server and a very good cookie dessert. That first time was during Saturday lunch time and was for two adults and two children. A bad online review wasn't warranted at that time but I would have never privately recommended Megan's to friends. This time around it was for two adults, three children, and we were there to celebrate my son's birthday over dinner. As mentioned, we would never have gone back but our son specifically wanted to have the cookie dessert for his birthday. Well, the restaurant was notified of the birthday when the reservation was done, weeks in advance, and did nothing to acknowledge it on the day. The restaurant was practically empty, yet our mains took forever. Critically we were not told when we were seated what was no longer available on the menu, which caused an issue when my son asked for the cookie dessert. There are some basics in food service like acknowledging patrons when they enter and seating them quickly, offering water and drinks, checking for allergies, telling people what's the special (if you have one), checking in on a table from time to time and telling people what is no longer on the menu when passing the menu to seated patrons. If we had known that Megan's was out of the cookie dessert, we wouldn't have bothered sitting through their mediocre, and ultimately expensive food. What a disappointing failure it was to see my son choke back his upset while a tear silently rolled down his cheek on his birthday, only to then pay for it when the cheque arrived! Megan's is a pathetic poor showing of a restaurant when compared to the other dining establishments around Kingston. Do not dine here. Save your wallet and taste buds for more deserving restaurants!

First time visiting. Ordered drinks and food. 2 of us ordered eggs on toast. One of us got 2 slices of toast the other one slice of toast. We ate up and paid up but won't be returning. Disappointed ☹️

Our server (sorry I don’t recall correct spelling, Kara? ) was very friendly and efficient, sharing her tips on dishes. Despite being busy on a Saturday, the staff worked very hard and kept things moving. Menu is varied enough to have options for everyone, even those with dietary restrictions. Only knock on the experience was that it seems the portions are getting smaller vs dishes I’ve had in years past.

Buzzing authentic Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Kingston. We had a short wait on a busy Saturday but seated in no time. Restaurant is deceptively large with an upstairs too. Friendly staff and great tasting food. We had lamb doner, meze and the breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their choices. Great option for the family.

We booked a Saturday lunch for 20 guests and the manager Shenazzer and his team did an excellent job to accommodate us. With Shenazzer all communication ahead of and on the day was polite, courteous and hospitable. The ability to handle a large party seemed effortless. Food orders were given in advance, allergies were noted, lunch was served in a timely manner and the service was friendly and attentive. Thank you very much!

Definitely my favourite place in Kingston! I had the amazing hot chocolate with the GIANT marshmallow. Love the atmosphere and the vibe, Huda is also a very good reason to visit this place, her recommendations never disappoint!

Went for an impromptu lunch today with my mum.Last time we went at the beginning of the year we had quite an awful time,ignored,then service slow,food poor. Today was SOOOOO different.Staff could NOT have been more attentive and brilliant.Food stunning and all round great experience.Farman and Imad were beyond fab and I wanted to say thankyou.I would highly recommend Megan's for any occasion.xxxx

Really enjoyed our visit to Megan's! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was excellent. I ordered the double open chicken kebab and biri piri fried cauliflower rings, and it was delicious. Also tried the lemon and rosemary cake, which was the perfect ending to our meal. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to eat!

Lovely experience at Megan's, the decor was beautiful and the staff was very attentive to the details. Definitely recommend for a special occasion or just a fabulous night out.

Took a while to be seated and then ages to be served. People were getting up and leaving as it took so long. Wish we did to as the food was not great. To top it off, the staff were arguing and clearly irritated at each other and the music was continually jumping. Strangely have experienced the staff issues in other Megans too. Lots of complaints about management and I can see why; the place is not well organised or run.

Despite the restaurant being so busy I felt like I was given time, treated as I was important just like any other customer. The manager was very helpful and nice to me even though I didn’t spend a lot of money due to being on a tight budget. The food and drinks were great. I would love to come back. Thank you!

Lovely staff but slow service. For the third visit in a row the dishes were served luke warm. The manager dealt with it well but they clearly have a problem getting the food to the table still hot.

Really beautiful restaurant, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was so pretty. We had the sharing brunch platter, throughly enjoyed all of the food.

A lovely evening for a birthday meal. The frose cocktail was very refreshing. Great value for money with the sharing feast as a main. Our server Alan had speedy service and Bree had excellent customer service. I was even give a free slice of delicious carrot cake with a candle. Thanks to all the team for a wonderful Sunday evening dinner. Would recommend and would return :))))

From the moment walking in, kept waiting at the door for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment, service extremely slow, nothing special about the food, over priced for the portions, I think I’ll stick with browns, can’t go wrong there and they make you feel welcomed.

My family and I dined at Megans, Kingston on Friday, October 18th, and regrettably, it was one of the most disappointing experiences we have encountered. Firstly, the service was exceedingly slow. It took over an hour for our meals to arrive, and when they did, the dishes were lukewarm at best. The waitstaff displayed a lack of attentiveness, and it took an excessive 15 minutes to attract someone's attention for assistance. When we finally had the opportunity to speak with the manager regarding our concerns, particularly about the bread served to us, we were met with rudeness and condescension. The bread was extremely hard—so tough that I found it impossible to bite into. Instead of offering an apology, the manager dismissed our complaint, asserting that the bread was "meant to be like that" and reprimanding us for not raising the issue earlier. His tone was patronising, making us feel diminished rather than valued as customers. We clarified that we were not seeking any compensation, merely wishing to bring the matter to his attention. However, he remained dismissive and rude, frequently interrupting us. By the end of the evening, we had spent nearly three hours at the restaurant, all of which was spent waiting. The entire experience was profoundly frustrating and disappointing. Given this experience, we have decided to dine in from now on. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Poor service, subpar food, and unprofessional management are not what one expects when dining out with family.

Booked for Bottomless Brunch, advertised as £25pp, only to be told that the £25 only includes the drinks, you have to pay for any food on top of this, doesn't make that clear in their advertising or website, consequently we spent a lot more than we had budgeted for. Food however was very good, recommend the Eggs Benedict. Service adequate - very young waitresses, some need more experience. Lots of screaming children/babies, I know that's not Megan's fault but really off putting for us older mum's who have long gone through that stage. Finally we felt being charged £2.00 for a pot of hot water with a slice of lemon was slightly excessive. Over all nice place but won't be rushing back in a hurry

Can’t rate the food as mine didn’t come. One staff member was apologetic but it’s not good enough when another tried to dispute the order with me. Drinks were nice but probably wouldn’t come when they’re full price. Think it’s better to come in the morning for breakfast, maybe the service is better then? definitely wouldn’t come again for nibbles/drinks in the afternoon or evening.

We were very lucky to have gotten a table, for lunch, at Megan's (Kingston) without a reservation. We visited on a Saturday. The ambience inside is breathtaking. My suggestion is booking in advance and sitting upstairs- this area is alot quieter, smaller, prettier with massive bay style windows. The food was delicious. I had the mezze bowl, with chicken - which was sooooo good! My sister had the shakshorizo which was incredible.

Unfortunately, I had the worst dinner of my life. On October 9th, it was my birthday and I wanted to have a nice dinner. The food was reheated, the meat was burnt, it looked like they had thrown leftovers from other dishes on a plate and served it to us. But the worst part was getting home and spending the next 3 days vomiting and having diarrhea. As soon as my boyfriend got home, he started vomiting. A frustrating night for a birthday.

Disappointing chicken Caesar salad. Consisted of lettuce, too many croutons, nice chicken and half a slice of cucumber. So basically ate a bowl of lettuce and croutons with some chicken.
