My 1st time trying Turkish cuisine. Was NOT disappointed. Staff were friendly and advised about different dishes. Could tell from over hearing other diners conversations that they were regular/returning customers which is testament to how good this place is. Only down side..... I'm not local so can't return as often as I like too.

My friend and I came here on our first visit to Brighton & Hove and words cannot describe how impressed we were, not only with the service AND food, but also the customer care! I have severe food allergies and Kem and the team were incredibly attentive! This is so rare to experience in restaurants where often the hustle and bustle of the busy environment can make you feel as if you are being a nuisance with special requirements so you don’t really get to eat out much! However, I was made to feel so at ease here and really looked after! Kem and the chefs checked the ingredients with me at every stage of cooking, and really exhausted every option to ensure I had a SAFE and still VERY delicious meal. The chef made me an allergen friendly meal of lamb ribs, new potatoes and broccoli which was delicious. I would highly recommend the ribs! They were so juicy, tender and flavourful! Additionally, the vibe of the restaurant is very warm and inviting! Just an overall wonderful experience, in a lovely family run place! Not to mention, you get so much food, you have enough to take home and have an entire meal the next day! Thank you Kem, I am so grateful for your service and food, and we will absolutely be back when we are next in Brighton & Hove! I dream about those ribs! Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are someone who suffers from food allergies or intolerances, and if you don’t, well even better :)! My friend and I recently celebrated our birthdays at this restaurant. The food is excellent, the waiting staff brilliant, cocktails delicious and as I had mentioned we were celebrating after our meal they came to our table singing and dancing with large sparkler!!❤️We have both had difficulties this year and being entertained by the staff made our day.🎉

This place has amazing service, and the staff were very accommodating to us as two families of three. They were really sweet with our babies. The food was DELICIOUS! Just wanted to drop the feedback that you could easily have a whole vegan menu if you stocked a vegan yoghurt and Violife's Mediterranean "cheese"! The vegetarian options look amazing though. But for vegans, your babaganoush and beetroot salad has garlic yoghurt, your mucver and muska boregi have feta. And it doesn't look like you stock vegan cheese for your veg mousakka. Anyway, looking forward to coming here again in the future, even as a vegan.

When your friends say this place you need to try, they weren't exgeratting! The moment we walked through the door we was greeted, shown our table. Swiftly served out starters which were really tasty. The Sucuk was lovely chargrilled! The mains were amazing. The lamb shish literally melted in the mouth and just vanished... To my stomach! Very good place if you like to share your plate with whom you're present with. Dessert was so tasty. It was so refreshing to have such a really well cooked and presentable meal. Highly recommend you will NOT be disappointed!!

Fantastic restaurant, excellent food. My wife has special food requirements, the chef is always very accommodating. The boss and Mustapha one of the waiters is excellent, he always has a smile,however one of the waiters is the complete opposite. For some reason unbeknown to me he smiles and seems to approach other customers different. Friends have noticed this as well. We have been going to the restaurant for about 2 years regulary., with friends and spending at least £100 to £200 each time I now feel uncomfortable going back to the restaurant because this particular waiter spoilt our evening on the last visit. .We had some food wich we wanted to take away, he presented us with the takeaway boxes and refused to put it in the takeaway box, telling us to do it and arguing.with us

The staff are super friendly and attentive. ❤️ The interior is stunning and the atmosphere was buzzing at peak time but not over powering that you couldn’t hold a conversation. My friend highly recommended Mediterra so we went there for dinner together. We received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff and they were really attentive, e.g. topping up our drinks for us. The ambiance was great and the food was delicious. Great selection of food too. Can’t wait to go again!

As a first time guests, we were blown away and certainly will be returning. Celebrating a 20th birthday, the staff went the extra mile. We ordered 2 of the large platters and they were absolutely delicious. So much variety and flavours and a large selection. Cooked to perfection. Staff all turned out to sing and dance with her cake and the atmosphere was brilliant. Thank you for a perfect evening.

We went here last night fir my sons 21st Birthday. What a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful. Staff amazing, and food, absolutely, delicious. My daughter made a birthday cake for Daniel, which was presented by the staff in quite a spectacle way. 🎉 Thank you all so much. 🤩 I cant recommend this place enough. This is a beautiful Turkish restaurant serving freshly made, high quality delicious and beautifully presented Turkish food. The dining experience is made all the more special by the lovely, friendly staff, who go out of their way to try to make sure you have a great dining experience. Simply fantastic!

Delicious food and generous portions.

Food was warm but when we were going out from the restaurant one bartender guy said Japanese word. We were Asian but we were not Japanese and we never talked about our nationality. Apart from the taste, manners made it a waste of money. Please keep good manners.

Best meal since arriving to Brighton/Hove. Fresh, delicious and savory. Ordered the Falafel, Beet Salad, and Calamari (so tender and perfectly fried) highly recommend. Gave it 4 stars, order taker was not friendly seemed not happy, however the server was very cheery and pleasant. Interior was casual yet elegant decor

This place surprised us so much. We just popped in for a quick bit of lunch. I was expecting to find a falafel and salad kebab sort of thing. We ordered salad, cheese and smoked salmon and started to wonder why it was taking a while to come. Well when it arrived we found out. Each dish was beautifully presented so that each looked extraordinary and tasted great too. Portion size was good and we were so delighted. Especially fun was when the smoked salmon turned out to actually be under a dome of smoke. The restaurant is all sparkling looking and the food it great and served with a flourish. Check it out!

Not overly busy during the week so you can have a conversation without having to shout - but in all honestly, you’ll be too busy eating the fantastic food. If you want THE best Turkish food with THE best service get yourselves to Mediterra Kitchen, Portslade I keep on returning and it just seems to get better - the staff are so nice & willing to help with recommendations & explanations. Superb food, huge portions but if you can’t eat it all they do provide containers to take the remains home. Don’t walk people - run!! Amazing restaurant!

I couldn’t wait to share the experience we had tonight. We came here for the first time for a romantic anniversary dinner and didn’t know what to expect but we were blown away. The restaurant itself is beautiful and intimate and the food was beautifully presented, tasted fresh and wonderful and portions were generous. The chef and people serving the food were gentle and warm and attentive without being intrusive. Couldn’t fault this meal one single bit and can’t wait to return. Thanks for such a lovely meal tonight ❤️

It's a great Turkish restaurant where the food is freshly cooked and very well presented, and good-sized portions. The staff are really nice and friendly and we had very good service. At weekends there is live music which creates a great atmosphere. It's a restaurant that you would want to keep revisiting.

Had an unexpectedly delightful lunch sitting outside in the sunshine. Both waiters could not have been more attentive. There were two of us and we shared 4 dishes. They asked how we wanted to receive the order and ensured there was plenty of time between everything. The grilled liver was a special treat- moist and tasty with a super red onion salad and the parsley sang through. I think the staff were surprised how many sugars I asked for in the 2 cups of Turkish coffee I asked for! Unfortunately, I’m unlikely to be back in Portslade any time soon, but would definitely recommend ! The interior of the restaurant looked nice and spacious. Toilets immaculate .

Had an amazing meal cooked by Muslum the chef , he cooked the best meal I have had in a long time .Ferdi was very attentive and also kemal, wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely come back as every thing on the menu was delicious.

A nice restaurant marred by an offensive customer who was eventually shown the door. The food was very rich and came out too soon after ordering. The "cous cous" looked a lot like bulgar wheat.

I stopped by for lunch at Medi Terra Kitchen today. The verdict? It's amazing! You get a lovely friendly welcome and attentive service throughout. The food is delicious and everything is super fresh. My Alinazik paired melt-in-the mouth lamb mince kebab with a gorgeous smoky aubergine puree. Portions are very generous. My meal came with dips and bread (to start), rice & couscous and a salad. Everything is attractively presented without being pretentious. A picture window gives a clear view of the (spotless) kitchen and there's a well-stocked bar. I've already chosen what I'm going to eat next time...

I love this restaurant, I can't fault it all all, the interior is beautiful, the food is delicious, compliments to all the chefs and the hospitality is fantastic, with a warm welcome as soon as you step in and throughout your stay, Had my sisters 60th here and they had a Belly dancer in which was fabulous, I think it's so nice to have a little entertainment as it breaks the time up and its so enjoyable, we laughed so much as staff encouraged us to dance if wanted it was hillarious, and the dancer was amazing, and if its your special day, the staff really go to town and celebrate with brilliant music and singer, to me I had a blast there and the other 9 people from my party, friends and family would agree too, so well done for given us such a wonderful evening, and I recommend this restaurant 100%.....Louise

I cannot fault this resturant at all, every time i visit i will give it 100% for everything, I booked it for this Saturday just gone for my sisters 60th, there was 10 of us, as soon as you walk in you get a warm welcome, the hospitality is excellent, the food was delicious as always, so compliments to all the chefs, they had a Belly dancer in , which was fantastic I love a little entertainment anyway, just enough to break the evening, we joined in , we all couldn't stop laughing and even the staff joined in and encourage you to dance it was brilliant and then they really go to town when it's your birthday with brilliant music everyone singing, it was the best on how I would like to enjoy an evening out, so thankyou so much to all the staff at the restaurant and I know the other 9 from my party would agree, we all had a fabulous time and will deffo be back! Well Mediterra, here I am. Great Food, Great Service Thank you for giving me the opportunity to post a new review. We had our first time at Mediterra last night. It was absolutely fabulous, spacious environment, very good attentive service and the food - the chicken was succulent and tender -compliments to the Chef! Thoroughly recommended 👌🏽

Food is nice and a well presented restaurant with good service, I do however think the platters are a bit overpriced for the location. I’ve paid less in similar restaurants in central London.

WOW!! Full marks from me for delicious food, a warm, friendly service and great afternoon celebrating my wife's birthday! We eat out a lot, so it was nice to eat somewhere I regard as a lot more special than 'the norm'! Our party indulged in the menu, we all left completely full! Highly highly recommended, we cannot wait to return to taste more Turkish delights!!

Waiters are really pushy here, I hadn't even sat down and they were trying to take my order, then they blasted some awful birthday music at full volume without warning. Never again.

They simply could not do any more for us, the whole experience was superb. The food was flavoursome, plentiful and good value . The drinks kept flowing . The service was on point and to the moment. This was our 5th visit (so you can guess where this is going) we've visited when it's been quiet and busy yet the staff are as friendly and efficient in every situation. The freshly cooked food is excellent and the choice will cater for all tastes, you certainly won't leave hungry. Going as a couple the three courses with drinks and tip will leave you change from £100. If you like a treat the freshly baked baklava is to die for 😁. Thoroughly recommend a visit, book in advance recommended.

Can't believe it was my first time here , and it's been open 2 years . What a hidden gem. Fab atmosphere , decor , service . Food was the best turkish food hands down . I went back the next day to get a takeaway. Will be my regular meet up

We visited this fantastic and gorgeously decorated restaurant for the first time at the end of January for a 'bottomless brunch'. What can I say, we absolutely loved it! We had such a warm welcome from one of the new owners, and all of the staff were super lovely. The food was amazing, so tasty, and they were really considerate and careful with my gluten free requirements. The cocktails were made beautifully, individually to order and not watered-down as some places do on a bottomless brunch, and plentiful. Needless to say we enjoyed ourselves immensely and can't wait to go back.

Visited Mediterra with my partner last night as an early valentines dinner, and we left very happy customers. Atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely and staff were very attentive. Food was lovely and fresh, my partner had a steak which was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were amazing! Will definitely be returning.

What not to like at this place? The first thing is waiter’s manners and behaviours. Staff are very kind and helpful. Check up on you while you have your food while they give your own privacy too. They are very very polite and professionally give you the best service. The atmosphere is very family friendly. Suitable for every occasion from your formal work dinner to group party. The vibe is very warm and fluent inside this place. The restaurant hygiene is very high and this is a very clean place. You can see the kitchen through the window and even in the kitchen us everything done by a good order and clean. When it comes to food, there is a whole lot of heaven you can experience. Kebabs are very good and juicy. Fresh ingredients with lots of colour and varieties. Very aromatic and tasteful. We order the hot and cold mezze platter for the starter and it came in a very good portion. I can tell that after, we were already full and even not looking forward to the dinner but the dinner menu is exciting enough for you to order from. The selection of the mezze platter is very colourful along with the tastes. They make a homemade bread and garnish with oil and I guess Zaatar spice ( I am not very sure). The bread comes with starter and I cant say more about how wonderful it tastes. For the main course we order the house platter contained Lamb Adana, lamb Cube( lamb Shish), Chicken cube (Chixken Shish) Chicken beyti and Wings. The lamb Shish was very tender and juicy and I can say this was the first time ever I tried Shish with that tenderness and taste. Chicken Beyti was quite dry but delicious too. Wings were very tender and the marinate was very good. I always order Ali Nazik when I go to any Turkish restaurant and I love the dish. This dish in here is next level of goodness. The lamb is very tender. The yogurt and aubergine bed ha a warm temperature and everything together is amazing. I highly recommend this dish. We tried the Adana Iskender too, as dishes with yogurt are always good. The kebab itself was quite dry but the combination was juicy and delicious. Again the signature bread makes all the difference in this dish. Mains come with rice, bulgur and Salad. I loved the presentation of every dish and the sweet/sour taste of the salad sauce. For the dessert we tried housemade Baklava, which was very goooooood. It comes with Vanilla ice cream. Also Sutlac was very good and tasty too. To be honest ut was quite average in taste and I tried better ones before but it is good. They serve Turkish tea and coffee and I tried both and this is amazingly good after the heavy dinner. They also have the option for book the while restaurant for large group and catering too. I highly recommend this place if you go to Brighton or live in that region.

Myself,wife and mother in law decided to go here for dinner,we had been before but it was a while ago. We ordered our drinks while looking at the food menu… Lots of choice,from Veggie,meat and fish… We had a mixture of hot and cold starters and then we had our mains… We always order far too much food and always end up with a doggy bag to take home. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was so good and very filling,no doubt we will be returning in the near future.

Ferdi and the team provide a really warm and welcoming service along with some outstanding food. Recently had lunch here and the mixed sish and mixed hot starter platter were amazing. This is a unique offering in the area and a must try for anyone.

Being coming here regurlarly since it opened and the food and service has always been consistently high. The flavours of the barbequed meats are absolutely delicious and the starters are all really great and presented very nicely. I've only ever had the baklava for dessert as I'm a sucker for it and it's without doubt the best I've ever tried. It's a home made recipe made freshly on the presmises every day and it's just heavenly. The whole team at Mediterra are well trained and exteremly accomodating and do their utmost to make you have a great time!! Instead of choosing to go into Hove or Brighton, give Mediterra a try. You'll have a really enjoyable time.
