Food wasn't worth £20, chips weren't cooked properly.

Visited with my husband and we were really excited to try this place. Throughly disappointed, the food was bland and wasn't worth the £60 we expect to eat. I was shocked at the state of the toilet and the location.

We came to town with a different shop in mind, but this place was recommended, so we decided to give it a try. Long story short—it turned out to be a great decision! The restaurant isn’t very big, so we didn’t have high expectations, but the food completely exceeded them. The staff were friendly and provided great service throughout. The variety of meats was impressive, and everything was well-cooked. The brisket was a bit dry for my taste and the chops weren’t that great but the rest of the meats were excellent. The chicken had fantastic flavor, and it was clear a lot of care went into preparing it. I would have happily enjoyed it without anything else if it wasn’t for me being a meat lover lol. Some parts, like the breast, were slightly dry, but that’s always tricky to get perfect. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place, especially to all the meat lovers out there looking for a bargain!

I visited Meat & Eat in Wolverhampton on Sunday, and overall, it was a decent experience. The food was nice and tasty, and if you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is that I felt the ribs and brisket were missing that extra something that some of their competitors offer. That said, it’s still a good place to try

Palestine tray well worth it. Good portion. Mac and cheese very nice and creamy Briskit melts in your mouth Crazy fries are filling. Drink selection could be improved. No desserts. Sauces on table were empty. Chicken grilled burger lacking flavour and dry. Wings were amazing. Overall its a 7 / 10 from me guys.

We went first time last night as a family and the whole experience was fantastic from the food to the service I can honestly say this was by far the best meat grill I have had anywhere in England!!! We will 100% be coming back and next time I’m bringing the lads

Perfect steak at a reasonable price. Our 3rd visit here now. The interior could be upgraded hugely but it is small and cramped. And often you have to wait for a table as the place is popular. The menu needs updating too as many of the drinks are now not available but no complaints about the food. It’s spot on. Will keep returning

I visited the new branch at 'A38 The Last Exit' in Birmingham which consists of a number of established food outlets operating out of catering trailers. I ordered 'The No Bull' smash burger which comes with smoked brisket and caramelised onions at £13, it is more expensive than what they charge at their branch in Wolverhampton (according to their online menu) for some reason. The staff are pleasant and took the order swiftly before handing me a mobile buzzer which notifies you when your food is ready allowing you to wait in your car. When collecting the burger I immediately noticed how light the bag was! It felt like there was barely anything in it. Upon opening the burger box I found what unfortunately was a fairly paltry patty with a reasonable amount of brisket on top; the burger was extremely light and I instantly regretted ordering from Meat & Eat and not one of the other vendors before even taking a bite as I had a long journey ahead and just from the feel of the burger felt that it would not satisfy my hunger. However, trying to remain positive I thought to myself that perhaps I would be pleasantly surprised and the smash meat would be quiet heavy and filling. The taste and texture of the smash burger was OK but a little dry and the brisket was very dry and did not taste fresh, I had to chew hard on some of it to get through it. I didn't taste any caramelised onions and don't know if there were any on the burger. Overall the burger was dry and lacking in taste and no sauces were given with it which is quiet a shame considering it was £13! Lastly, my initial thoughts were correct; it turned out to be a small portion which felt more like a side/starter than an actual smash burger. I didn't have the time or budget to order anything else and set off on my three hour journey. Personally I wouldn't buy from them again and the whole experience was quiet disappointing. One would expect a lot more for the prices being charged and the hype created on social media.

Great food but could do with a refurb

Hey Everyone, i am so devastated with their food quality and taste. There was no taste at all. In my they should close it down asap. The steaks were ridiculous . It felt like a joke tbh.

The food was not up to standard, such as the food being cold, bland, soggy, etc. I regret ordering from “meat and eat” With such poor quality food, service, and delivery, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I understand that things can go wrong occasionally, but this was unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvement. this was a disappointing experience, and I hope the restaurant can improve these aspects for future customers.

Disappointing Experience with Incorrect Information I recently decided to try Meet and Eat for the first time, choosing to visit the Birmingham location. After calling the provided number, I was given the operational hours and a postcode (B28 8NB), which matched the one listed on your Instagram. Based on this information, I began my journey around 9:30 pm and drove for approximately 28 minutes to reach the specified location, only to find nothing there. Upon arrival, I searched the area thoroughly but found no sign of your establishment. I even asked staff at the nearby Tesco Extra, but they were unfamiliar with Meet and Eat. I then called the Wolverhampton number again, only to be told by the same individual that the location was a trailer, and despite being the one who had directed me, his final response was, “I don’t know, bro.” This entire experience wasted a significant amount of my time—nearly 20 minutes searching and a total of almost an hour of driving—without ever locating your business. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accurate information and the unhelpful response from your staff, especially when they could not provide clear guidance to a new customer. This has left me with a very negative impression of your service, and I sincerely hope this issue is addressed for future customers.

Zain recommended me the meat tray and it was exceptional. Never had anything like that in Brum. Great customer service from zain too very quick and efficient.

They recently changed their mash potatoes for the worse, and barely have any sauces as they use to.

Order their platters with smoked brisket beef & wings and one of smoked chicken. My main reason for visiting was smoked brisket which I felt was a bit let down. The other things on the platter were delicious. Smoked chicken was particularly good.

Family meal out. We tried the smoked ribs, smoked brisket, smoked chicken, plus sirloin steaks. Gorgeous food, served very quickly, very polite staff and great service. We’ve been meaning to come here for a while and so glad we ticked it off the list. We had a great time here. It was a bit busy and it’s a small restaurant so you might be waiting if you come at peak times. Next time I want to try the loaded fries, they looked delicious

After seeing their page on instagram, i went there with my family. I was very exited as im a very big fan of meat especially beef and brisket. My excitement was shortlived as when the food arrived it was cold and looked bland. The first bote and my expectations were crushed the food was tasteless. Im happy to pay for food, no matter the price as long as its tasty and enjoyable food something i wont regret however, this restaurant should not charge such prices for such basic food.

I’m a regular customer, but when they forgot a side on one of my orders I called them informing them of missing item where they said there’s nothing they can do and hung up immediately. I called back and they avoiding all calls sending me to voicemail which is extremely rude. No refund either. Food is good but customer service is foul!!! Not worth it

Went to the drive through in Birmingham. Very underwhelming. Charging £25 a box for mediocre food.

I’ve walked past this restaurant so many times and finally decided to give it a try. I got the meat tray 3 and my boyfriend got the meat tray 1. I would advise to come to this restaurant hungry the food is delicious with quite hearty portions. The food was hot and flavourful, I loved the mash potatoes very fluffy and thick. Drizzled with the peppercorn gravy you really can’t go wrong!! Would definitely recommend. Service was a little slow when it came to taking our order, apart from that everyone was lovely and I will definitely be coming back to try some different items on the menu.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. The presentation of the various meat and burger trays was visually impressive. The brisket-loaded fries were absolutely exceptional, and the smoked chicken was perfection — easily a 10/10. Every dish hit the mark, from the lamb chops to the BBQ meats, which were succulent, juicy, and packed with flavor. The only drawback was the pricing, which I found hard to justify. For over £30 per tray, I expected a more generous portion of meat. Instead, the majority of the plate consisted of mac and cheese and fries, leaving the meat portion feeling somewhat inadequate for the price point. Despite the time and effort that undoubtedly go into preparing these cuts, I don’t believe the price fairly reflects the portion sizes. The restaurant is quite small but cozy, with enough space to accommodate small groups comfortably. Overall, I highly recommend this spot, especially if budget isn’t a concern. If you’re looking to try unique cuts of meat and enjoy great flavors, this place won’t disappoint.

Went to Meat and Eat at the A38, it’s a new halal foood court and they’re unbelievable. From the customer service to the food, everything was perfect. They didn’t take so long too. They were quick, I got my order within 15 minutes. Would deffo recommend. I’ve been to the Wolverhampton store and the food is amazing. Best brisket I’ve ever tried.

Have had better food visited the food court A38 tyburn road brisket was cold and the brisket roll wasn’t all that they didn’t have much food left no lamb chops or rib rolls to try wasn’t that busy but yet they seemed to struggle with their orders and customer service was nill the guy taking my order simply blanked me and kept me waiting to take my order and I noticed I wasn’t the only only one he did that too. Won’t be wasting my time going back there again !!! The brother should learn its not just about pulling in customers from TikTok and then when they come to your food van you ignore them just because your busy pay attention to your customers what they are asking and don’t fob or ignore them or they won’t come back !!! I’m sure others who have been their would agree if he continues to act that way !!!

This place is really lovely, I’m just going to start off by saying that the service and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is incredible, I can’t fault it. We had nachos for the starter and they were so delicious, full of sauce and filling they are very generous. The brisket, is the best brisket i’ve had in the UK. Really tender, beautifully smoked and is just so tasty. It doesn’t even need any sauce to complement it because it’s so good and juicy. Honestly haven’t got a bad word to say about this place, good food, good staff and a nice atmosphere. I will be definitely be back.

While passing through Wolverhampton on my journey, I found myself extremely hungry and started searching for a good place to eat. That's when I came across "MEAT AND EAT." Before heading over, I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner, Qassim. He was very friendly and kind over the phone, and our conversation made me feel confident that this would be a great place to stop by. When I arrived, I was not disappointed. The welcoming atmosphere and the pleasant Nasheed playing in the background created a relaxing environment. I decided to order the Palestine Option for brisket, and it was absolutely delicious, just as I had hoped. The staff were very attentive, checking in every now and then to make sure everything was okay or if I needed anything else, which made the experience even better. Overall, MEAT AND EAT is a wonderful, family-friendly restaurant that I highly recommend. Whether you're local or just passing through like I was, it's definitely worth a visit.

We ordered a meat platter, burger platter and lamb chops and shared it between a family of 4. Service we quick and friendly and food was delicious. Would have liked more of a sharing platter option as there was only 1burger. Lots of parking close by and pricing was reasonable. Limited drinks and didn't see any dessert options. Would definitely come back as the wings and chops were elite, we just wanted more!

I had the double trouble fries and they were the best thing I've ever tasted the brisket was flawless and tender and had amazing flavour, they had great portion sizes for a small amount of money. The staff were incredible, and the atmosphere was amazing.

The best ribs, and brisket, I have tasted in the UK! Both the brisket and the rib was very juicy, tender and very, very flavoursome! Brisket can be quite difficult to perfect, but at Meat and Eat, that perfection of smoking the meat was delivered. The mac n cheese was spot on, and all the other trimmings as part of the meal was also ten out of ten. We got the meat platter (enough to feed five people easily). The platter also included steak (amazing!), bbq chicken, chicken wings and lamb chops. Everything was absolutely delicious 😋😍. The atmosphere in the place was spot on and the service was top notch. Very happy to have found a place that serves this kind of food that is cooked how it should be. Further, we got the 'au jus' gravy and this complimented the meat perfectly. So juicy and tasty. Would recommend any meat lovers to try this place out - you will definitely leave full and happy 😊.

Simply the best fast food place I’ve ever eaten at! This is the original smoke house in the west mids and I’m upset it took me so long to decide to come here. The brisket is by far the best out of all the ones in brum. The variety of smoked meats is the best. All of that and I think the “double o” is probably the best burger I’ve ever had! All the sides are yummy especially the Mac and cheese. Please open a branch in Sutton Coldfield!!!😁

Was a nice meal had the lotus biscoff cheesecake and Dirty Fries with VIP Burger. The lotus biscoff cheesecake was an icecream cheesecake it was amazing. The dirty fries tasted nice the chicken was lovely. The VIP burger beef meat wasnt high quality. The chicken tasted like nandos it was good. My mum had the brisket and loved it. The spicy chicken wings was amazing. The Mac n cheese was a huge portion it was above average. Meals were large, filling and if you're craving meat this is the joint to go to. Shop is small gets cramped once its slightly busy its as if you are eating on the same table as other guests thats how close you are. The food is absolutely standard nothing special the smash burger was one of the driest most nastiest smash burger i have tried worser than school lunch burgers. Mac an cheese was ok brisket was somewhat ok nothing special as for the wings they looked ok but at this point i was so put off my food i gave them to my friend the staff seem like they dont care really care maybe it was cause they knew we was from out of town and not regular costumers im shocked at the hype behind this place because its really not worth the hype. Most the good reviews must be from friends/family or people they’ve paid because from all the people i have spoken to about this establishment all told me they didn’t really enjoy it. Not to mention all the food bloggers saying its a good spot to eat at, they must be getting paid or the staff has specifically gone above and beyond simply because they know the person is a food reviewer. I definitely wouldn’t go again we travelled up from Birmingham was not worth it at all that smash burger still haunts me till this day

The juiciest brisket I’ve ever had! Believe me I’ve had brisket from them all, Pitmaster, Burnt but no one comes on Meat and Eats level when it comes to the smoked meats. I would 100% visit again and I love the variety they have on their menu. 5/5✨ I went for a meat tray 1.

The best brisket in town for miles hands down, my new favourite spot, we ordered 1 meat tray to share and 3 Palestine trays. Visited again on 27/5/24 we had meat tray Palestine trays and Beef short rib. Ma Shaa Allah tabarakallah.

Saw a lot of from them on TilTok so thought it would be worth the visit. Hugely disappointed! 0 taste. Dry. Too expensive for what they give you. Save you money as it’s not worth it. Loaded brisket fries were the only decent thing there, the rest was like a kids school dinner.

Sorry, but this is terrible. I've been to different countries, I don't know where there are so many positive reviews. Beef steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and mushroom sauce, absolutely everything is tasteless, the sauce is like liquid water with a couple of pieces of mushroom. Mashed potatoes should be completely crushed, and not with pieces of potatoes... Portion 25 pounds, I left hungry. This food is not worth the money. complete disappointment.

Meat and Eat is always a treat to dine in for. They take extra care with dietary requirements including gluten free, the food and customer service is amazing. Would highly recommend to everyone.

10/10 food As a revert myself it is really hard to get good quality meat that is cooked to perfection by many Muslim establishments. These guys have nailed it, I came just on the end of Covid and the standards have only got higher. Ordered 200g of Brisket and it was to die for with the other half having the Brisket Spud which was also perfect. The only thing they are missing is a roast dinner. It has been a good many years since I have had meat cooked that good. A little gem just outside of Birmingham and the owners should take pride in the food they serve.
