Best pie, yummy and the chips were so real and delicious. Highly recommend.

Wow best fish and chips ever! The fish was so fresh and the gluten free batter, nice and crispy! The temperature was so hot, we knew it was just out of the fryer. The french fries were yummy! Brilliant, accessible ramp to get my wheel chair into the restaurant. Your kindness, was appreciated. Don't walk, RUN to this restaurant

We were on our way north from Inverness and wanted to quickly pick up food for the road in the evening. We found McGinty's by chance and loved it. The food was excellent, the portions were really large and the friendliness and warmth of the staff was outstanding. We would stop here again and again and take the detour!

We ordered fish and chip supper from McGinty's and we really enjoyed every bit of it. What I appreciated was that there were different options for the size of supper you wanted, rather than just one size. And the prices reflects the portion size too, which I think is great value for the quality of the food and the money. The staff are super friendly and it seems like a place that lots of the community use. The local dishes were interesting to see and I think this is important foe scottish tradition, such as red pudding, or haggis supper. Unique to Scotland. I highly recommend McGinty's for fresh, tasty fish and chips and for the friendliness of the staff ☺️ even though we were just visiting, they made us feel welcome and that they'd known us for ages. Thank you and keep being an asset to your community.

On a recent trip to the UK I asked someone where the best chippy was in Invergordon and was referred to McGinty's. I've eaten fish'n'chips up and down the UK, and this is head and shoulders the best I've found. Also, the owner, Ewen, was an amazing guy - very professional and very friendly. Can't say enough good about this place. Go there!

Worst chips I have ever had. They were hot but half of them still solid in the middle. And expensive too, 4.50 for a chip butty??? The most expensive I have ever seen. A 30p bread roll and a potato.

Nice Food and nice service! I don't understand that this place has some negative comments. Fish was delicious and the two people in the kitchen/servers were really nice. You can eat a big meal or something small. If you expect 5-star food, don't go to a place where you can obviously see, that you will not get that here. Overall it's nice. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for the delicious food!

Friendly service and excellent food

Great had scampi, chips, onion rings all beautifully fresh, crisply well cooked and excellent taste. Friendly efficient staff nothing too much trouble Lovely clean shop and large sitting area to left as you enter shop. Definitely will be back.

If u like a friedly ambient and an a welcoming aproach, stay away from that place. I was just at the side walk near that place, send message to my coleguesnto tell them to meet me there, when the guy come and ask me if i want something, i just say, not now, thanks. Than he told me to get out and not use his internet, well i have 150gb internet, so no need of that, just told him i was not using his wifi, and he told me to get out of his sidewalk, cause he was the owner of the entire square!!! So just text my friends, 15 in total, and met them in other place. Lot way better, nice food and tourist friendly. By the way, the place was empty, even with 4000 people from the cruise ship there. So, just somewhere else. Theres lot of better places to go!!

Amazing food, amazing service and can’t believe we didn’t come sooner! The lads serving us were so friendly, struck up conversation with every person that came in. Chatted away and was smiling and laughing the full time! Such a warm welcoming environment with amazing chippy food. Would go back again and again for the service alone!

I had a fantastic fish supper from McGintys, freshly cooked and served by friendly, efficient staff. I would have no problem recommending this establishment for anyone visiting Lossiemouth.

Good food at fair prices. Wait a while for cooking but it's worth the wait.

Just had fish, chips & mushy peas. Chips hardly had any potato in them. Fish tasted like bleach 🤢 The seagulls enjoyed them, we didn’t. Hubby also got a battered haggis. He said it was alright. Very bad tasting food for nearly £19.00

Hidden of the main high street you may just walk by but definitely worth a visit for a meal. It is a takeaway first and foremost with the bonus of having a seated area of to the side. Friendly staff, clean seated area and good food.

£7.10 for chips and 2 chipolatas Not good value the chips had so many eyes I thought it was a staring competition

The owner is so friendly, the fish is delicious (and coming from Grimsby i know my fish) and fresh, chips are lovely too would definitely recommend

Very friendly people, but very mediocre food. Chips lack any taste, and fish had that tangy flavour that suggests it's not at its freshest (plus fairly meagre fillet size).

Has Mcginty’s changed hands? We dined in the restaurant, had to order our food in the chip shop nobody came to take our order. The coffees not as usual standard and low and behold they served them in a cardboard cup and the fish suppers x3 came in cardboard take away boxes (what has happened to the crockery)? The reason we have given 5 stars is that the food was excellent though. We use the restaurant quite regular even though we live 34 miles away. Looking forward to your reply explaining the reasons and why has the service declined. Kind regards Keho.

As an expat I wanted to savor fish n chips before returning to the USA. It has to be an establishment that has the fish fryer and proper chips.Non of your frozen chips. I was not disappointed. Attentive service and moderately priced. A bit weird having salad on the side of the plate, lemon slice and a small basket with the chips in. I suppose there is a need for presentation these days.

This is a gem of a restaurant.We sat in for dinner.The fish is perfect,fresh and well cooked, lovely batter. Mac n' Chees excellent too,very friendly and good service.Try it!

Great food and service. I was hanging out for fish and chips and was not disappointed and my wife loved her soup of the day with fresh bread (four slices was a bit much). Spotless and clean, great staff and nice ambience in this interesting town.

Amazing place, happy to cater to allergies if possible. Stopped to ask if they might possibly have gluten free fish and chips. The answer was give us half an hour and we'll make some. Excellent food, super friendly staff. Gluten free at the back of photo.

Under new management, totally refurbished since it was Carol's. The place is bright and airy, has friendly helpful staff and free WiFi. Great food at reasonable prices. Definitely be going back

Fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish looked ok but I couldn't taste it, don't know why. The chips were almost white and had the consistency of plasticine, luckily they too were tasteless. The peas did smell like peas, looked like peas but again had zero taste. I was then short-changed at the till. Terrible really. Never again.

A nice little chip shop with some pretty decent fish and chips. They were friendly and quite busy considering the time of day we were there.

Disgusting behavour from staff especially the one that was taking the orders who was very rude & the other ones didn't know what there are doing. Order was late as they served the wrong person 1st. Battered sausage was burnt to a crisp & coukdnt eat it. For a new location fir the business they're doing a poor job at keeping customers. I would rather travel to Dingwal than go here

Food including the chips left a lot to be desired, first and definitely my last visit.

Absolutely terrible!! Chips were like crisps and kingrib was burn to a crisp. Small portions and over priced!
