Mcdonald's Restaurants in South Lakeland

We had McDonald’s delivered by Uber off their web page, items thrown in bag, fries upside down and still only half full. All food was stone cold. Ordered 2 McFlurrys and only received 1, couldn’t get through and no where to reply and get through on any communication.

Turned up around 9:15pm and ordered a meal. Served very quickly and the meal was really hot and extremely enjoyable - I was ravenous. As it was late very few people in the spot so it was really quiet hence lacking in atmosphere.

Brilliant McDonald's, very different design and decor compared to most others. Quite a relaxing place to eat, especially for a fast food outfit like this. Food and drinks were nice and staff very good. Central location in Town makes it handy as well.

I've been here many times since this is my local McDonald's, and I do appreciate having one in such a small town. Of course, not everything can be great, but I feel like they could improve in some areas and make adjustments. Overall, food is delicious, although the food can sometimes be cold or missing. However, those are little mistakes that can happen and aren't a big issue. Once again, the staff are very polite and will help you out whenever you ask. If you experience bad service, most likely it's because you treated them incorrectly in the first place, but that might not always be the case. Lastly, I went here today and only ordered a singular burger, and the man behind the till was very kind. He didn't get mad that I was just getting one item. I would expect some to get angry, but again, he was pleasant and nice. Anyways, goodbye.

A bit grubby but if you need a good snack then this is the place. Service is a bit slow, can only be blamed by busyness. Quite a popular place.

Table 22 is unnumbered - but I would have thought that as the tables do not move the staff would know where the tables are, as opposed to walking round and round the restaurant with food!

Food is good but getting the full order is shocking. Always have missing items and always get told it's Ubers fault!

Burgers that look like the pictures! Carefully assembled, with quick service and fresh tasting ingredients - up there with the best McDonald's I've ever been to.

This is the best McDonald's store I've seen in the UK. Spacious, clean, with a play area for kids and comfortable for a fast food shop. Obviously I'm not judging the quality of the food, this is standard in every McDonald's, but the space and the cleanliness.

Improved since refurbishment but still the slowest service of any McDonald's worldwide. Still think it's ridiculous it's not 24 hour. And how hard is it to remember sauces when preparing a delivery?!?

Oh how this place has gone downhill with its food. Used to be a treat to go to Maccy D’s but not anymore. Last few times I have gone they haven’t been able to offer the Coffee lattes or milkshakes etc as the machine never seems to be working. As usual, the burgers 🍔 were thrown together - no care at all. Chips are no longer crisp and hot, just half cooked. There appears to be no care given by the staff, very few of whom have the ability to converse with the customers. Whispering the order number doesn’t really help when you are stood waiting. McDonalds - you really need to get your act together as your reputation is going seriously downhill.

Liked how easy it was to order and pay, but had to replace my McFlurry because the ice cream had melted before I got it. We also had to move tables due to a group of rude guys swearing and being noisy

What has happened to the Coffee machine No coffee in 7 days, what's going on

It’s the worst McDonald I have ever been, food is cold, they put bacon in my sandwich I never asked and I hate it also they only put one pice of burger in my Big Mac… horrible not recommended at all and I will never go back…

Delivery is appalling every time something is missing or it’s cold or like the majority of the time both! Sort it out or don’t do delivery!

My order is always wrong young kids use as a youth club

Food took forever to prepare. Manager was moving from serving to kitchen without washing hands. Flys on the screens. Not clean at all. Wont be going back

The food was on the better side of McDonalds I’ve had before. Long waits for food due to a lot of untrained staff

Took ages to get my meal, a good 40 minutes for 2 hashbrowns 2 staff only working with a queue of people waiting. Food was cold on arrival Wouldn’t go back again

I have never had to wait so long in a Macdonalds before, there were at least a dozen other customers waiting for their orders, very poor experience

Travelled down from Newcastle and after a breakdown and rac recovery just wanted something to eat, quick and easy in a familiar setting . Staff friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Nice and clean and quiet background music, not like some where it's like being in a nightclub. Enjoyable visit.

Just a McD's! You know what you're getting because it's mass produced, mass bought, and everything's set on timers when it's cooking! How can they go wrong? 🤷

Every single time I order something from here by delivery or in person there’s an item missing.

Can't seem to get a milkshake most of the time. Iv been given the 'we're waiting for a part' line for the last couple of months and they don't seem to know what a full box of chips looks like. Second rate outlet struggling to get the basics right.

Just ordered a McDs on Just Eat. Has taken 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive! When I received it the fries were floppy and tasted half cooked, and were freezing cold. The 2 McFlurries were half liquid. The burgers were dry and buns going hard. Must have been sat waiting at least 30 minutes. Not good enough!! I tried to ring them 3 times, twice pre receiving the food and once after and they didn’t answer the phone. I take it they knew they were sending rubbish out and didn’t want to take responsibility for it!

Consistently the worst Mcdonalds branch in the UK. Food is always like it's been wiped across the floor before bagging up. If they even manage to bag up your whole order. Totally pap

Like going back in time before drive thru's. Not seen one like this for years, mainly because I don't use city centre ones. Took a while to get served because of all the 'Just Eat' delivery drivers. Rubbish for parking though.

Every single time we order there's the option for sauce... to date never received sauce. Everytime we order 2 of the meals are ordered without salad like usual tonight big tasty with bacon ordered without salad has come with salad. Absolutley useless employees that can't read basic instructions from the ticket.

My greatest respect for the staff running this particular McDonalds, sure hope you re being rewarded accordingly. We are visiting this place every week after our weekly shopping.The place comparing with others McDonalds been to is really clean, one particular staff member that makes all the difference is the elderly man cleaning and clearing all tables and for such a busy place his on top of it all Well done 👍. There is also an Indian national hope I am not wrong ☺️very kind who s probably a manager hopefully always checking on people and being very helpful. All together there is much to appreciate for the way it’s being run by the staff and we always have a good time . The play area is the biggest bonus on a wet day and is always as clean as possible.

Absolute rubbish, didn't include the quarter pounder I paid for in the order that was delivered. When i rang the store said sorry but nothing could do, could get one next time I am passing?. This kind of defeats the object when I ordered food as I'm at home with the kids for a treat.

Quick order displays NEVER print a receipt and haven’t for months. It’s a hot day and the aircon doesn’t work. Food is good though and service efficient. Update February 2024 (Which is 7 months on from the above mention), Still no receipts from the self service displays (Though this is typical for EVERY McDonald’s. They have a major design flaw with the inbuilt receipt printer which they have no intention of fixing by the looks of it). You have to keep a beady eye out for your order number, if collecting, as it flashes up very briefly. If you miss it, the counter staff look at you as if you are stupid. The latest thing of interest that happened here was that they ran out of lettuce. Given that this is a major part of pretty much every item on the menu, it is a big deal. They’d stuck some small signs up telling customers, but online orders were still going out. The staff we encountered seemed to think it was funny. Finally, they don’t seem to understand how the pylon system works, where when ordering you grab a plastic number pylon so the server can bring your order across. Invariably there aren’t any available, and if you complain they just tell you to use the number on the table. This is fine if ordering via the app, but not if you’re self service ordering at one of the displays. Overall, in spite of McDonald’s Kendal refitting a few years ago, it’s going steadily backwards.

Ok it's McDonald's, but for the kids it's an occasional treat!!.. The Kendal restaurant has been recently refurbished to a high standard, always clean and pleasant surroundings, with a large open plan space making it a pleasant visit every time! Update 2024: Kids grown up and won't join me anymore 😅.. I'm still partial to a sneaky maccies, and always find Kendal clean, good service, piping hot food would be a bonus! But it is what it is, value fast food 🚀

Absolute rubbish. They forget something every single time and I'm not just talking about one item, they miss whole meals and not just one. I got sent a bag of chips and nothing else after ordering 3 meals for the kids and didn't get a refund!! Will never go back to the Kendal one, your best off going to Killington services. They always cook it fresh there.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Horrendous experience, by far the worst mcdonalds i have been too already. Manager was rude. Food was poor, avoid and drive the extra 15 minutes to killington services mcdonalds which are 100% better than kendal.

This is my local MaDonalds sadly - I foolishly keep coming back every week - I spend hundreds of pounds every year with an average ofr £50 each week. 2 out of every 3 orders are wrong with items missing! Tonight one whole meal missing with receipt in hand - sometime I go back - tonight I could not be bothered and made myself something else to eat! Totally incompetent!!!

The burgers at this outlet don’t meet up to the usual McDonald’s standards. I’ve had McDonald’s meals in many countries and this is the most disappointing by far.

Bacon mayo chicken burger cup of tea. Bacon mayo was luke warm at best and very dry. Awful now I remember why I don't usually go to a McDonald's

DO NOT waste your money on the online app, the simple people of mcdonald's will get your order wrong and then pass the book to uber eats! How can that even be aloud? And good luck resolving the problem you have, be ready to get messed about. Won't throw my money away again!!

Cleanest McDonald's I've eat in before table's sprayed and wiped down ready for next customer. Toilet sparkling clean and had a lovely pleasant smell....

Not a bad McDonalds but the play area gets a little meaty. 11-13 year olds ruling the roost whilst toddlers are used as canon fodder. Will develop some tough kids. Manic on a school holiday.

No street parking. Opens early and useful to hikers who are planning local peaks. Food was warm and good coffee.

It's McDonald's so you know what to expect really. The building was clean, plenty of free seats and tables, pleasant staff and the food was tasty. Can't fault it.

Extremely poor service, "Just eats" seem to get priority over walk in customers. After waiting 15 minutes for a order as simple as 2x Mc Flurry and a Flat White, ended up getting a refund as my order was still not fulfilled.......... Fast Food ????

The fillet of fish had a tiny miserable scrap of cheese in one corner and a spot of sauce in it. The children enjoyed their meals and the play area. Ice cream lovely but as usual there were no milkshakes, Fanta or Sprites. They need to get their act together as regards supplies .

Probably the cleanest, friendliest and nicest McDonald’s we have been in. If there is a McDonald’s standard this restaurant beats it hands down. Really nice people.

Toilets as bad as the worst public toilets I've ever seen. Absolutely bloody filthy!
