Burger King in South Lakeland

Hopeless service. Waited 20 minutes for food but it still wasn't ready before I had to leave. No urgency from the staff. Avoid.

I begrudge having food I have paid for. Thrown at me. Youngish lad with a modern haircut and the manners of a rat. I will never visit again. 3178 was my order number on the 22nd November 2024.

Typical Burger King on site in the UK. Complete menu, quick delivery time, friendly service. There is a place to sit. Food ok, no later problems. I recommend!

Lots of items unavailable. Terrible seating and not much of it. My recommendation would be to hold off and go to another service station.

Banging food and spectacular service

Your staff are a disgrace. They stand there watching customers trying to use self service, sniggering when we couldn't manage the machine. We re in our late 60s so struggle with the machine as we only wanted a burger with no chips or drink. Eventually a male member of staff came to help but by this time my wife had gone to Costa & ordered her toastie & coffee from lovely Costa staff.

Wonderful attentive staff, burger was crafted at an anstounfing speed and was handed to me only 2 minutes after I ordered despite being quite busy. Wonderful experience iverall

Came into a busy service station and the young boy serving on his own was friendly and polite whilst juggling loads of orders. From the receipt his cashier number was 8000185dmc and the transaction number was 2039 of the 03/04/24. Even apologised for the delay when we collected the food.

Worst service ever at any food place I've ever been to. An hour wait for 3 meals and only to have 1 of them so wrong you couldn't believe. Ice cream and drinks prepared 20 minutes before meals came out as well, had to ask for a fresh ice cream as it had melted whilst sat on the bench. When going back in to tell them about my 1 meal being completely wrong they reordered and after another 20 minute wait I had to complain rather loudly in order to get it done. It was then ready in 5 minutes. This is a service station. A pit stop before continuing your journey. Staff could not care less, didnt aee a problem and continued to saunter about like i the packed area wasnt there. If you waited this long in a restaurant you would up and leave but for fast food this is completely unacceptable.

Waited nearly 10 mins for food, fries where stone cold, but chicken royale was hot, but never realised there was a shortage of lettuce going around, seen more lettuce on a cucumber, that's how much or little there was, no notification from staff to say what the delay was. Avoid..

Fast service and friendly staff.

No straw or cup lids, no ketchup and the coke cup was 2/3rds full of ice so hardly much drink in at all!

It's a shame they do not sell fish burger. I ordered a hot drink and was told that they do not have water but only milk.

The food was ok, served by a pleasant young man. However, the tables could have done with clearing, not one cleared, but one trip round with a bin bag and a spray and cloth would have made a world of difference. It would not have taken 5 minutes and would have given a lot better impression. There didn’t seem to be a supervisor looking after this aspect either. The order board was not easy to see for extras either, it needed to be just plain bigger print. Coffee was limited, but then you could always have gone to Costa right next door. Good job the food was ok, filling and tasty, nice fries.

Local to this Burger King, usually only call when passing or as a treat due to elevated service station prices. Food is typically decent and staff are friendly enough. But do yourself and your hungry kids a favor, AND CHECK THE BAGS BEFORE LEAVING. They seem to forget items regulary as they like to rush people out of the door. Any orders more than a couple of whoppers need to be emptied back out on the counter and placed in the paper bags by yourself, DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF. As nice as they are, they are forgetful and a little bit dipsy. Dont worry about the queue, just throw everything on the counter and CHECK IT. Eventually, they'll get the picture, I hope.

Unlike anything shown in any pictures available, along with lukewarm radiator cooked bacon and partially melted (due to the heat of the chicken) partially cold cheese just out the packet.

Very positive experience today at Burger King. Went in with the family, lads on the till were very friendly. Food came quickly and hot. The assistant manager Sarah went above and beyond her duties. Made the kids feel very welcomed and was smiling the whole time. Will return again simply for the customer service shown. Absolute top job!

Cold fries, reheated from the night before, tasted disgusting. I go to counter and left standing there for 10 minutes by girl at the back. I made sure the girl knew I was waiting and she just completely ignored me, so I just walked away. Food and customer service, the latin is Horribilis which in english means Horrendous.

Poor quality, over priced food with long wait times. They only seemed to be serving chicken burgers, tiny fries portions, staff looked so unmotivated. We won't be pulling over here again,food was edible but wasn't great, looked like it had been thrown together. 2/10 experience at best. Wasn't even that busy either 5.30 on a Friday

For the second time in a month, there were no fries, that’s right…..No FRIES! Also, we ordered 3 burgers and they were COLD. Being as the bill came to £28, you would at least expect them to be hot. The excuse they used about the lack of fries was pathetic…” we had a busy weekend” oh really? Yes, weekends are usually busy.! The restaurant was dirty, unclean floors, chairs and tables , and the staff looked pretty gormless and unkempt. Avoid this service station like the plague, or you might just catch one!

Great service today except for who appeared to be the manager of Burger King and Costa shouting at his staff across the dining area and talking down to them in front of customers. It felt embarrasing for me so I can't imagine how they must have felt! Also a shame there's no gluten free options.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever had! Was ignored by two staff who were just stood there doing nothing, had to ask if I could order with them as the ordering statoins were full they were not impressed with me asking!. The food was ok but staff need an extensive course on customer service skills...

Coffee machine not working and only about a dozen chips in a portion 😲😲 poor service. Would not recommend. Go to Costa or Greggs........much better value.

I visited burger King barrow in furness this evening. The food was freezing cold and should not of been served to me or anyone else.

Guaranteed to get your order wrong; some things will be missing, sometimes you even get things you didn't want, but it will NEVER be right. It takes incompetence to a whole new level. You want your way at BK, not a chance.

Went here on Monday ordered my meal and returned to our car opened the bag and it was the worst meal I have ever seen . The burger itself was burned and cold the roll was stale so much even the birds left it . Having loved burger King on travels all over the uk never having a problem before .I was very disappointed having spent the day after unwell I cannot blame them directly but you never know . I will never return to this particular one again

Visited 24 hours ago and soon as I left started get stomach pains, coffee must’ve been last in the machine and it’s a toss up between the burger which has meant me lying in my bed waiting for the poison to leave my body. Absolute disgrace!

The orange Fanta was really NICE. Firstly we checked before we went said it was open and when we went the south bound Burger King was closed; luckily North was open… Anyway, If you are absolutely STARVING you may NEED to eat here: Otherwise avoid like the plague. Quite honestly IF I’d never eaten Burger King before I would NEVER eat it again, no really never again. To add insult to injury we decided to eat in the car and there were two things missing and one order had the extra missing. IF your going north Burton Burger King is seriously leagues better In essence Other than that I would have to vehemently refute 973SimonR973 opinion of it being “Better than most motorway Burger Kings” HAAAAAAAAAA

I got a takeaway from here and thought id try the new cheese and bacon lover burger meal with onion rings and a sprite....not one thing was any good and only noticed when I was back on the motorway so couldn't complain in person...the burger was cold and had virtually no cheese or bacon and looked like it was dropped from a great height, the onion rings where soggy and cold and the sprite was like water and not even fizzy I won't be back and my advice avoid this place

Burger King on the M6 North of Lancaster. Staff working very hard to cope with a mass of customers yet the young lady on the order desk took time to help me. Speaks volumes for their recruitment and training and that young lady's attitude.

Burger meat is very thin make sure you get a double. They had no ice on a hot day.

Good food and vegetarian option very polite staff

Burgers way better than the rival. Recommended the halloumi burger for something different.

This is a fresh and up-and-coming restaurant from the USA and judging by their whopper meal, it is one to watch !! Although, I had a capri sun and the paper straw wasn't strong enough to break the seal in order for me to fully enjoy the apple and blackcurrant goodness. I guess that's not a Burger King issue though, i should take it up with capri sun or the paper straw manufacturer directly. Will keep you updated

Aesthetically, this Burger King ticks all the right boxes. The familiar warmth of the Burger King banner welcomed me in from a cold January day with the peaks of the Lake District looming on the horizon. I felt very at home. I cannot speak for the quality of food as I had a ham and cheese sandwich and a packet of roast chicken crisps in the car that I picked up at Bicester services earlier. Therefore, I did not treat myself to the culinary services on offer. However, I am sure that given the outstanding physical presentation of the establishment, the quality of your favourite Burger King classics is guaranteed.

Called here for an urgent bite. The lay out of the service station does not allow very good social distancing whilst walking through. Small queue which got longer as the touch screen order system broke down, also the tills became cash only. The ordering system then became extremely slow. Food was OK, chips are always better than McD’s. I stick to the chicken burger thing.

So why was I the only person at the counter I had to wait for my meal which is fine but Luke warm burger cold chips, there was frensg cooked chips but the lad serving put the old cold chips in the bag when he put 3 or 4 hit chips on the top. Burger King management you can’t afford to cheat your loyal Custer’s. Next tine it’s kfc for me

Over priced over cooked and tasteless. Dirty eating environment. Tables needed jestwashing. Charged Sugar Tax on soft drinks - even though we are still in England.

Visited late before staying at Travelodge. Service was slow area generally untidy and tables were grubby. All meals were good but the untidyness spoilt the visit.

Shocking. Filthy floor. Flies and dirt all over the window ledges. Unwashed tables. One young lad trying to serve on his own. Soggy, undercooked burgers that we couldn’t eat. Would be interesting to see what Hygiene Standards made of this branch.

Disappointed. Only 2 staff working. We went the previous week and drinks machine wasn’t working. We went today and machine still had not been fixed. Had to wait 10 mins to be served. Burger was sloppy and Luke warm. A few hours later we had stomach ache. On the up side the restaurant is tidy and there is plenty of space to sit and eat your slop but it’s time they took on more staff and ensured food was piping hot and chips not left under a heat thing for too long but there again I guess that if if they take on more staff then they will put the prices up to pay for it

I have never had a great meal, or great service here but I have returned as sometimes it is the closest food available as I work mobile. On this occasion despite not being very busy. My order took way too long, and so you would imagine everything would be fresh and piping hot. Not so. Burger was lukewarm, bun soggy and fries were limp. The onion rings were barely cooked, not golden and crispy but only a shade darker than white and soft. The staff have zero customer service skills, and do not acknowledge anything said to them with words, rather with grunts. Avoid unless you really have no other option.

We called here on Friday 20th July around 7.30pm and it had clearly been busy, and was still VERY busy, as everyone was going on holiday with school ending for summer. We were in a rush, but also very hungry so joined the large queue. It quickly became apparent that they were short staffed, as there were only 3 young staff members on, which were under a lot of pressure. We did have to queue for quite a while, but the staff were doing the best they could under the circumstances, they were extremely polite, cheerful, and “keeping their cool” under the pressure. Our food was good and hot! This review is mainly to say that your staff are a credit to you,and deserve a huge pat on the back for coping on “skeleton staff”...... WELL DONE GUYS!!!!

Stopped for a snack for dinner. The food was Burger King! The staff were friendly and polite. My food was prepared quickly and I was on my way. Just what I was after. Still prefer these services to the main Lancaster ones.

Every night after a hard days work we come past looking to enjoy an ice cream, every time we have been bitterly disappointed to find out that the Burger King has got no ice cream, very disappointed and would like this to be changed for the next time we stop

Had a take away from here when staying at the Travelodge at the services. Just what you would expect from a Burger King.

We had a nice meal here on the way back to Scotland. We both had 4 piece chicken strip meal. The food was nice and hot, also free from grease.

A quick stop and a quick snack. Aberdeen Angus Burger and chicken strips cooked to order so a short wait.

James at Burger King M6 service's Burton in Kendal! Congratulations. It took us a while to realize he could actually talk because at first he just stared at us as if we had just interrupted him doing something. I realized his death stare was my prompt to order food. I had to be careful as I didn't want to risk offending him with my order... Unfortunately my wife was reckless and had the audacity to ask for mayonnaise! He told her 'might have some garlic mayo'. My wife did not realize that this was as far as his customer service went but soon did when he went to finish our drinks, half full with no ice. Not sure why no ice, maybe a water shortage in the lake district? Then on his return, clearly agitated with my wife's lack of interpersonal skills and powers of perception said 'well do you want the garlic mayo?' What an offer and with no better one on the table she took it! Well done James, truly an experience, a bright future awaits you... Maybe not in anything that requires people skills though.

If you want a standard plain burger then go here and order the Remortgage Burger. I don't think that's the proper name but you get the idea of cost.

Who even reviews Burger King?!! You know what you are getting here, I suppose that's a bonus! The veggie options are approved by the Vegetarian Society.

We got a kid meal and a couple of burgers burgers which were cold and they were served up in the take out bags. The tables were dirty and we had to eat out the wrappers normally burger king is good but I'm guessing the children left in charge had other things to care about than good service. The meals cost just short of £20

Stopped off en route to the lakes for breakfast. Had a breakfast type roll which tasted of chemicals. As it had not long opened it probably was cleaning agent but it ruined my meal.

We were staying at Travelodge and had breakfast in this motorway services the next morning. The usual fast food outlets and shops. We had burgers and strawberry sundae each Amazingly the burgers were a lot cheaper than most Burger Kings at motorway services. Good seating, nice and clean, all very acceptable. Would use again.
