This is a 5 in my childhood I always got food from here as my dad was the manager but now his friend took over and we moved I loved all the food here and drinks and hope the business is still good today

Sober review: I could go on for days about my love for Marmaris, but the one thing that stands out for me is their dedication to customer satisfaction. Twice now I have asked for off-menu dishes and I have been met with openness, excitement, and dare I say, glee at my request. If you’re looking for chips, cheese and gravy with a load of doner meat all over, then get down to The Best Takeaway in Kendal.

Terrible food, went in after a night out to check my bank this morning and see I was charged an extra 4 quid over what I actually had, if they do this to everyone who's had a few drinks they'll making a fortune, rude staff food tasted off and expensive for what you get. Avoid.

I had an issue regarding an order, the first issue I've ever had I must add and they resolved it as soon as I brought it to their attention. Very polite staff and always great food. I've always ordered from them and will continue to order from them in the future.

We were staying at Travel lodge in kendal town and Mamaris kebab house is a brisk 10 to 15 minutes walk up but don't mind it as the area looks amazing walking along side a river. Fresh quality food as fast food goes. Nice bunch of lads. Although it's got a nice size place inside it does not have any tables and chairs to eat in, they usually have customers either pick up or delivered out. Price wise it's double compared to the midlands but then again that's what you pay as a tourists i suppose. Those with dietary needs this place does do vegetarian options and also is halal.

They are making vegitarian and meat and ham without washing their hands, clearly contamination. Secondly they will try to rob you all the time. I went with there to buy food for my child and the guy was very unprofessional asking me to spend more money. I thought he is doing joke but the second day same he repeated same thing and on the third there was another guy who charged me £20 for Burger, chips and drink which usually cost £6.80. I told him I didn't ask for this but he said that you asked for another burger meal which costs £20. I told him to refund my money which he didn't wanted but after argument he returned the money. Their menu is also misleading. Avoid these thieves.

Takeaway only. Were flexible with the order. Had few choices in grilled meat, the döner was only beef one. Quite large size of naan and grilled chicken wrap for a low price. Only took 10 min to prepare orders. Halal as per the owner.

I’ve had it ever since i was young at it was just amazing! I 100% suggest the chips cheese and gravy and garlic bread.

First Time ordering online, ordered to be delivered at 6.30 at 5pm, to give plenty of time and give me time to get to my dads after work. immediately got a response saying need longer will be ready 6.40pm. At 5.25pm got a call from a mobile saying I’m at number 6 no-one answering (that’s coz we are number 7, after a few mumbles he repeated the address and I replied no Road, not Street. Eventually I could hear him speaking to my dad. There was no apology that the food arrived 1 early. By the time I got there it was almost cold. Will not be using again, staff don’t care

Great food, prices are as you'd expect in the area. Whenever we fancy a pizza we always go for a marmaris.

Always delicious food can’t fault it

Extremely good food. Genuinly hot chips, tender donner kebab. Only little niggle is that they didn't have yoghurt and mint sauce, but they had their own garlic sauce with spices and herbs which was just as good. Portion size was more than enough to fully fill you up.

£23 - two shocking kebabs & 1 chips. Absolutely horrendous Almost inedible. Staff not friendly. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Rip of merchants and awful food

We usually order from here on a Sunday and it was ok.... Today (Friday) we ordered food at 5:15pm. The ETA on the app said 6:30pm .... 6:45pm and no food. Rang up got "fobbed" off with the we are very busy and that the order is out for delivery. Another 20 mins goes by and no food (we live about 10-15mins from the place) ... Rang up again and got the same response. We will no longer be ordering from here because a 2 hour wait for food especially when you have kids waiting for their pizza is unacceptable. Also the food wasn't as good as it usually is.

I had stay there for my daughters birthday. I wanted halal food. I was lucky to find such nice place. Everyday i ate from there. Very good taste & wuality

Would of been nice if had salad, garlic mayo or anything in my pitta for chicken kebab? Just small bit of chicken that's it? Used to be really good gone down hill since went on just eat as rush orders?

Not even Worth a star, terrible service.

If I could I'd give it no star, the guy on the phone was ever so rude to me. First time around he hung up on me after I was trying to give him my address. Then second time round he kept speaking over me as i was ordering. He got very angry and I told him I am trying to order, he proceeded to shout still. In that he then told me to call him when I am ready as he is too busy for me. He kept saying other stuff which was hard to understand and i told him its not my fault he cannot hear me and that the line might be bad and to bare with me. He just carried on shouting. Honestly worst service ever and probably terrible food since he rushes to do the food orders he has. He most definitely doesn't even get the orders right. RUDE GUY!

I been there for food they mix up my orders and they give me me wrong order and they charge me fully my money for wrong very nice 😂😂

looking for pizza after a night out in town,staff was ok not very welcoming but still do the job food was just typical nothing special.

Pizza was really not very good, borderline whether to eat it or throw it away. And I love pizza so that's saying something.

Disappointed. I went here because someone left a 5 star review saying best chicken ever. I ordered chicken and chips for 3.50 and the chicken was the size of a single Mcdonalds chicken nugget once the bone was out. The chicken was dripping fat. The taste was ok. The chips where ok. It is not a one start review because the 2 people working there where not rude and I only ordered chicken and chips. It would be good if kfc where in this town.

Food arrived and was vile, the sauce wasn’t sauce it was left over nasty pieces of veg just dumped on, rang the place to complain and my partner was greeted by an incredibly rude staff member ( probably because she was a woman, no more need to be said) the worst food I’ve had in my life DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pizza was burnt and I mean the crusts wher black and it was stone cold definitely won't make the same mistake again buying from here. Disappointed definitely not worth the money or the wait.

(Tuesday 13th) Today we brought a couple of pizzas and some chips. We placed the food order and got given a food menu as my friend was still deciding what to order. When we got given the food menu we got excused by a member of staff about looking at the prices on the menu when we where actually deciding on what to order. The man what served us was very distrustful and extremely rude and we most certainly won't be going back! None of the staff where wearing face coverings and no hand sanitiser stations around which they should because of Covid19. Next time we will be going to MC Donald's!

Ordered a fairly large order and I gather that on a Saturday night they will be fairly busy however got a 45 minute delivery E.T.A.. After 1.5 hours had passed I rang up to claim that the order hasn't arrived and questioned when it be delivered I received a disgruntled reply and that my order would be with be me shortly. That however was a lie and after a 1.5 hour late delivery and a fair few comments with the delivery man and a free garlic bread later made me assume they had preempted the fact there would be complaints and had measured in place. Once the food was delivered eventually it was to my suprise delicious yet fairly cold and substantially late . I understand this is not every case when ordering from this company I would just like to share my individual experience given it wasn't ideal.

Highly recommended getting any sort of kebab in a naan instead of a pitta puts the kebab in a whole other league if you do. Best chicken wings in town also could do about 10 portions so tasty and a nice kick

The free garlic bread, although it was free it wasnt edible! It looked like it was a week old and felt like cardboard. The kebab was freezing cold and disgusting. The chicken burger had watery mayo, old lettuce, cheap buns and a soggy chicken burger! I feel ill this morning after eating some of it. I couldn't even finish it. Not happy at all!

Waited 1 1/2 hours for take out arrived with wrong food called back delivered half correct order 5 mins later cold!! Called back had the phone put down on me..., wouldn’t recommend this place ever to anyone lots of other establishments in the town who provide a much better quality and professionalism!!who wants a cold kebab but I was told he doesn’t believe me😡

Really enjoyed my food from here on two occasions this week. My wife and I were staying in Kendal and ordered the pizza and kebab on sperate occasions. The service was great and the quality of food was also really good. Would highly recommend and order again if we are in Kendal.

Ordered food. Was told 25 mins extra wait...which made it 1.5hrs after the order. Called them then after 10mins after the delivery time and it seemed like they hadn’t even started the order! No apology no extras offered... do not use!!

Food was absolutely delicious and lots of it too. I was worried to try the chilli incase it was too hot so asked for it to be put in a separate tub (never tasted anything like it) will be popping in for another tub to take home. Fast service and nice staff.

I thought the food was ok, certain items like the donor kebab was kind of disappointing, cheesy chips kind of ok but quickly went to soggy. What I was mostly disappointed was the fact we had an order for £75 we thought as we have a big order the guys would give us some drinks but they said no, I kind of felt the customer service was not up to the mark which was a little disappointed. If you want to have a quick bite would be a good one to visit and grab that quick bite.

UPDATE: actually got food poisoning from this place!! WORST takeaway of my life! Turned up cold, missing my garlic sauce, chips not cooked fully, and a garlic bread that was almost bare! Gateau was still frozen in the middle and when I rang and asked about the sauce they just said they'll send an extra one next time! To make matters worse I asked for contactless free delivery which they did not adhere to! I'll never order from here again!

Ignore el 99% de las malas críticas aquí, no hay nada malo en nada en cuanto a comida, la entrega es como dicen, peor si está ocupado, el personal suena muy bien, siempre se cruza con los conductores de entrega, las pandillas turcas son una buena risa, como por grosero, sin sentido. Recomendar lugar a cualquiera.

Ordené solo para comer lo que normalmente hacemos en un fin de semana para un tratamiento, pero decidí pagar en efectivo en lugar de pagar con tarjeta en la aplicación. La comida para llevar llegó a tiempo. Tenía el dinero listo para pagar, pero el repartidor nunca dijo cuánto. se lo debíamos, así que él nos dio nuestra comida y se marchó, así que los dos nos sentamos con el té y luego recibimos una llamada telefónica de la tienda de comida para llevar que les debía dinero por el té. Mi esposo contestó el teléfono. El hombre fue extremadamente grosero, mientras que mi esposo trató de decirles que no era culpa nuestra. Fue culpa de los muchachos de la entrega que nunca nos dijo cuánto les debíamos al hombre por teléfono que estaba jurando por teléfono. y luego golpeó el teléfono! Hemos sido clientes leales a ellos desde hace algunos años, pero no volveremos a tratar con ellos.

Very hit and miss, this is only somewhere I eat after a night out. I would from personal experience order something that doesn't contain meat... Just I always seem ill when I have meat from here.

The guys that work here are the best guys ever! They are always happy helpful and hilarious! Today I mentioned we were celebrating and they went above and beyond!! They never fail to be the best takeaway in Kendal :D

10.40 at night and we get the delivery driver from marmaris banging on our door! Our young children are woken, scared and wondering what’s going on. The delivery driver has come to the wrong address...no apology, even after I tell him he’s woken the whole house!! This wasn’t the first time either. C’mon lads the address is on the f@}king house!!!!

Ordered a takeaway for my children through just eat. After 1.5 hours I phoned to say we still had not got our order as we had a text 25mins before I phoned to say it was on route. I was told on the phone the driver had knocked lots on the door and no one answered so he went back to the shop. What a lie...... since the text I stood in the window waiting and my dog that barks at every knock never barked once. Rude man on he phone when I phoned!!
