Mcdonald's Restaurants in East Staffordshire

Went through drive through and the gave me a bacon roll with brown sauce instead of a breakfast roll with ketchup. I live locally and should've checked better as this happens a lot at this one. If it's a large order things can be missing. Because I was on my own I just looked in the bag and counted the items. There was a big queue, so didn't take out and read the labels.

A group of of us came here for breakfast on are way to Alton towers I had a sausage McMuffin and a McCafé hot chocolate. I recommend here if you need a quick something to eat if your going Alton towers or somewhere near by.

Absolutely poor. Rude staff, often long waits and blatant reduction of the menu. I can’t drink anything cold but the milkshakes, but surprise surprise this restaurant NEVER has them on. Always just get told the machine is going through a “cleaning cycle” - a blatant lie. You can complain but you get the usual copy and paste responses - I’d get further complaining to a child. Unfortunately the next nearest is Meir and no way I’m travelling the opposite direction to there from where I’m going. Time I think for this restaurant to get their act together.

The breakfast burger was nicely hot, neatly assembled and deliciously tasty, freshly made with more care than some other locations I have been to. For me the experience was elevated even more because the staff we interacted happily with were smiling and friendly back, making us feel welcome and even happier as a result. Well done McDonalds Uttoxeter by pass - your floor and kitchen staff are a credit to you.

I spoke with management today think her name was kyleigh ,was most unhelpful manager I have spoken to ,originally was given the wrong order ,was told I would get my meals replaced when I returned, went bk their staff didn't log my complaint so I didn't get my meals as promised, spoke to the manager today on 26th July @ 1200 to explain my circumstances and she said unfortunately her staff made the mistake by not logging my complaint and sent me away with nothing, my kids was crying in the car as I couldn't afford to buy the meals again, I couldn't believe what I was told by her ,she shouldn't be working as her customer skills are rubbish, I am taking my complaint well past her pay grade ,never go their again as if the order wrong, they don't accept responsibility, check food Straight away as the manager is a joke and does not care for customers

This has to be the best McDonalds in the UK. I very rarely take time to write reviews, particularly when it comes to everyday fast food, but for this restaurant I have to make an exception. I use this place regularly as I am always passing. On most occasions, the food is ready within a few minutes, well cooked and is well presented and not thrown together or left to go cold like in other stores. The biggest thing for me is the friendliness of the staff and their very calm, pleasant attitudes towards customers. I find in other stores this to be a problem, but Uttoxeter has it absolutely spot on and is a very pleasant experience. Very highly recommended and the granddaughters loved every minute of it. Hats off to all the team :)

We called yesterday on way back from shopping. We ordered Big Mac no cheese and 1/4 pounder meal plus two McFlurrys. They gave us the McFlurrys and instructed us to park up and wait for the rest of the order. I asked where to park. They said anywhere. We parked up and waited whilst the McFlurrys were melting and waited after over ten minutes I gave up and we went to Burger King. Oh we wanted milk shakes and the machine was broken again. We don’t eat McDonalds very often. We won’t be eating any now. Shocking service.

Been a few times in the last year and have never managed to have a milkshake because the machine is always broken. The only decent thing about McDonald's is the milkshakes.

Good value for money, though incredibly basic food. Cleanliness seemed alright. Parking incredibly tight however and entrance hard to see.

Visited here today with wife and 2 grandsons. wasnt too busy when we first walked in having queued for 15 minutes into the carpark. ordered on the machine and paid. Our order had items missing on two meals and then where we selected for things to be left out, they were in. Also the restaurant had no cold fizzy drinks on draught. Was not amused at all.

As two octogenarians, you can imagine, we do not visit McDonald’s very often. We visited 7:30 pm on Tuesday evening. It was busy. The food was as expected, the air con working well, but why does the advertising not mention how efficient, friendly and very pleasant the staff are - certainly at this branch. We will have no hesitation in calling again when passing and telling all our friends and relatives (all much, much younger than us). Maybe it is common knowledge. We never thought to ask before. It was a pleasant surprise.

Not much to say about the food, standard usual McDonald's stuff really but we were there when they were really busy and one member of staff in particular ( Amanda I think) was really helpful and friendly and great with the kids thank you so much!

I always call here when I am out cycling so the parking is not a problem for me. Food always fresh and hot, staff friendly every time I go and restaurant consistantly is clean and tidy.

Best McDonald’s i have ever been too and I am Scottish by the way, stoped on the way to London. Think i have been to 15 or so (10 of which were in Scotland and 2 were abroad.) Staff made it for me. Visited July 2020, 2 days after opening after COVID-19.

I have just visited this McDonald’s for my son to get him a happy meal, I ordered via the app in which it asked for the number click and serve I was parked at but looked around and couldn’t see a number, I happened to see a McDonald’s worker walk by, I asked out the window and he was so unhelpful and said he didn’t know what number and to just put number 3!!!!!! It’s has took 20 minutes for a happy meal to be delivered to my car and it’s is cold, and none of the less half filled fries in the packet! Disgrace. Absolute disgrace.

I waited 25 minutes for my order of Big Mac meal and fries and mozzarella share box with large fries. The ‘mozzarella share box’ was a 5 chicken select meal? Can your staff not tell the difference between chicken and cheese?

Of all of the McDonalds branches in the country, this is my favourite.For ten years I have been passing this place, occasionally stopping for their decent coffee on the way to Nottingham, or a bite and a coffee from the drive through after a late night in the computer room.My most recent visit occurred during August - Covid rules in place - but the staff were unfailingly helpful and provided an excellent level of service.The food is as always, delicious (though I only allow myself one visit each month).Keep up the good work.

Came here and the hot chocolate was all watery and didn't taste chocolately which I believe is what happens when the chocolate syrup runs out in the machine and needs replacing. Told the lady managing the queue in store and she replaced it for me and gave me two large when we only paid for regular, and said she put the syrup in directly for us. Really impressed with her friendliness and helpfulness.

Nice stop off after a long day at Alton towers. Food came out fresh and hot. I finished my day off with a warm apple pie. Easy place to feed the family before heading home

A week after opening during Covid-19 and we come here for a quick bite to eat on our way home from work. Firstly, our order wasn’t complex, or was a simple chips and 9 chicken nugget meal - we got no chicken nuggets, just our chips (cold) and a fanta. There was a woman in front of us who checked her meal as she was vegetarian and it was wrong as it was meat... when she asked the girl on the first window to change it, she was met with rude attitude “what are you waiting for?” As if she was the problem... This staff member clearly did not want to be there, she was so rude and not what you want to be met with as a customer. The next time I am on my way home with my husband after a gruelling 12 hour shift at the NHS and we experience this rudeness from that vile child, I will feel the need to say something to her personally and not bite my tongue. No need for wrong orders and feeling like going through a drive through at 8pm is doing this staff member a hardship.

Called in here just after midnight on the way back from Belper after watching the fantastic “Abba Twins” feeling very peckish.As there were only two customers already dining and nobody queuing we thought the service would be quick (it is a fast food venue after all) but were surprised how long it took for our food to arrive, but all was not lost as the long wait was worth it as our food was hot which unfortunately these days in a lot of McDonald’s venues is not a ‘given’ first time.Maybe they operate with a skeleton staff in the early hours as also a lot of the tables had not been cleaned or cleared from previous occupants.Having said that, why can’t people ‘self clear’ it’s not too difficult, I have often seen people eating in their cars at these outlets and then just throw what they don’t want out of the window with some even parked by the bin?Call me an old whatever but it does seem to often be the younger generation who are guilty?

I had never been to this McDonalds before, located just off the a50. We used the automated machine to place our order. it was promptly delivered to our table. I had a lovely millionares donut and a decent latte. Clean and tidy a decent place for what it is.

Went in for breakfast & found it very busy, but the staff were efficient & helpful, especially Ruth out in the restaurant helping the customers.The breakfast was good aswell.

I don’t get a McDonald’s very often and the last 3 or 4 times I’ve been (probably 4 months) the shake machine has been out of order. We’ve had chips missing from our order, cold food and a general lack of care from members of staff when you complain.Come on McDonald’s you can do better than this. Very disappointing.

We ate here on our first night of a 3 day trip that included Alton Towers, which was only about 15 minutes away.It’s a drive-through as well as a sit down restaurant, and we’re glad we walked there as the queues to the drive-through were long.We ordered and used table service, saying we were going to head outside. Unfortunately an abundance of wasps curtailed our al fresco dining, but inside was clean and we found a decent table to eat at.The food and service was standard McDonald’s date, so we’d definitely recommend it

We went in and the woman taking the order took so long then later on we bought some 20 chicken nuggets to share on the kiosk machine then the staff came over to us saying we didn’t pay for it when we did the whole time. The coke tasted really bad they got all the orders wrong and took so long. STAY AWAY

When we arrived, the car park was very busy and we found it hard to park. Once we eventually found a space, we queued to get our meal. The queue was not that long therefore we got to the front quite quickly, however the cashier that served us did not tell us that there was no chocolate milkshakes. We ordered chocolate milkshakes but they were not delivered to our table. After a long time of waiting, we got up and asked them if they were coming but the staff simply said no and offered us another drink each. I might go there again if I was desperate. Would recommend for a quick stop around 3pm though!

En-route from North Wales to a Wedding at Quorn, Leicestershire, our family of five including a 3 year-old had a stop for food, drinks and a 'comfort break'. The food was fine, the service was quick and we had no complaints about this McDonalds at which we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. When using the machines to order and pay for the items by card, I was surprised and indeed pleased that one of the languages you could place your order in was CYMRAEG - WELSH! BUT, the only negative is the CHAOTIC car parking here and it does take a few minutes (at least!) to exit the location, and to get back onto the main road outside. The car park is far too small for the volume of the restaurant and drive-through traffic, and the system for entering and exiting this busy location is not adequate, especially at peak times!

Went here today at lunchtime, no comment to make on the food but it took over 20 minutes to exit the car park. Much of that time was stationary with the engine off feeling completely trapped. Absolutely horrendous road layout all around. This should never have been built in this location, it needs to be closed down and rebuilt somewhere else.

This is a very busy place due to its location on a major junction. As others have said the access and exit are poor, the road network inside is confusing and the car park is small. Food is standard and staff were pleasant.

We tend to call in here for a tea and a drink after shopping at the nearby Tescos, yet we are getting fed up with our evening visits being blighted by the lack of clean tables. I have mentioned it a few times before to managers but they either obviously dont care or are incompetent as it is the same every time we visit. This evening every single unattended table was in need of clearing and / or cleaning. Unbelieveably, after cleaning our own table, we witnessed the on floor member of staff pick up some wax crayons off a table and start colouring a childs picture in! When she saw us, she came over to show us "How well her colouring was". I told her politely that she would be better off cleaning the tables as we had had to clean our own AGAIN! She just muttered and walked off shaking her head. I am a regular visitor to other McDs (usually Burton) and they are infinately better than this one.

After spending the day at nearby Alton Towers with two of our grandchildren (4yrs & 18 months) we decided to call in here on our way to taking them back to their house for their tea before they both nodded off in their car seats after their hectic activities earlier.

The food and service is good but the location - shared with a garage is small, congested and traffic tails back onto the road.

Unfortunately this is badly located restaurant right on the a50. The world's smallest car park and the daftest traffic management system to get in and eventually get out.

Very friendly staff happy to help and food just like any other mcdonalds. very quick service. Toilets nice and clean and quick service to clean and wipe tables

This is supposed to be fast food well thats a joke.waited nearly 20 mins for breakfast at this point the rest of my family had got theirs and almost finished it.when i got my breakfast there was an item missing from my order and when i complained to the manager she said sorry but the toaster was playing up.when i asked her for a refund or discount as this is what i have had at other branches she said she couldn't do that.i would recommend not going here unless you are happy to wait long time.

Good food nice and quick once at the counter very busy location causing queues when traffic coming from near by Alton Towers

Cramped car park with few spaces, dirty and with limited seating. They also managed to get my order wrong. Seems about par for the course at McDonalds these days.

Main downside with this McDonalds is the cramped car park where we had parked we cold no reverse out due to people queuing for the drive through! Ended up having to sit for a bit before someone gave us space to get out.

What can I say it's McDonalds average quality food the same as every other McDonalds this one managed to mess up a drive through order which meant driving through again and reordering the missing items no offer to sort it out at the serving window.

This location is cramped- tight car park, drive thru squeezed in, and shares restricted access with garage. It is always busy. BUT- quick service and big effort to keep the premises clean and tidy. Thank you.

We were visiting the area and stopped off here for breakfast. There is parking and a drive thru but we decided to eat inside.

Last month I visited this restaurant with my partner through the drive-thru hungry and looking for some breakfast. My partner explained to the server that I have Coeliac's Disease - an immune disorder - and therefore can't eat gluten - it makes me very ill. I am aware that the burger itself contains no gluten so my partner asked for the burger without the bun. The server seemed attentive to our need and we drove away happy with our purchase.

WE called in yesterday for emergency food! It was incredibly busy and we waited for a long time to get served. When we finally got our food and sat down, I discovered to my absolute horror that my big tasty was cold and the edges of the bun were dried out and curled up. We waited for so long and I was now so hungry I was beyond consolation. However, I flagged the problem up with Martin who wrapped up my big tasty in napkins, walked it over to the kitchen area and returned with a fresh hot, big tasty. Martin was magnificent. Martin is my fast food Angel. Happy New Year.

Average, average, average. Really small seating area especially for a McDonald's that's captures a lot of trade from people leaving Alton Towers. Staff ok, not over friendly. Average food.

Hectic to park or at the drive through. Problem with order, things missing. Staff busy serving you without a smile or manners. Long time to get order done then receive it. When do they wash their hands? Diner needs clearing quicker and slops mopped up faster. Food warm.

Just left this McDonalds. After buying two large drinks , and being given small. We opened our food , which were Double Sausage and egg McMuftins, and a Pancake and Sausage Meal... We found single Sausage McMuffins and the Pancake meal had NO sausage at all. I realise it's McDonalds and perhaps the good health fairy was doing us a favour , but for gods sake give us what we pay for and stop stock piling sausages !!

I occasionally visit this McDonald's and have never been able to fault the service. However, on my most recent visit (mid lunch hour) I was unable to order a milkshake as they were 'cleaning the machine' I understand that cleaning must take place however I don't understand why you would do this during one of the busiest periods of the day?

Never eat mcdonalds, please don't feed this to your children no matter how lazy you're feeling!!!!!!

This is our local Mcdonald's and we do visit here quite often. We have never had a bad visit and the staff are always nice and friendly. This is a good Mcdonald's compared to some I've been to.

As I live in uttoxeter we visit this macdonalds regularly and I can safely say this is the worst macdonalds for getting orders wrong .three times on our last visit I asked for a ranch chicken snack wrap with no sauce for the girl on the intercom to get it wrong after the last attempt I thought she had it right as our order finally came onto the screen only to find when I got home there was no sauce (great) but no bacon lettuce or cheese! . In the past we've had over cooked fillet o fish no tartare sauce and stale buns! And cheese burgers with no cheese!

Probably one of the best McDonald's around in my opinion. I came on my own to have some food before I went to work and I've never seen such a clean fast food restaurant! Its all nice and bright which is perfect. I enjoyed eating there and the food was very tasty indeed! Highly recommend.

Visited the Restaurant last Saturday 14/03/2015 went through the Drive Thru and was greeted and welcomed by a friendly girl who was telling me about McDonald's Charity and the work they do, I'm not a fan of Charity, but I felt the need to buy an air fresher for £1, it wasn't much out of pocket and it goes to such a good cause it gave me a warm feeling the rest of the day. After a long day it was nice to have that bit of conversation from a nice friendly staff. Definitely a good recommendation.

Kept me waiting for about 20 mins and charged extra for 1 piece cheese also told me u pay for sauce never hear that before and laughed at us at drive thru veryvpoor

I like all of it, speedy drive thru take away. Open 24 hrs a day. Food special orders done just like that. Food always hot, clean and bright seating area.

Very disappointing really. Took 25 mins in the queue, then 15 mins to make 2 cheese burgers and a happy meal.... not impressed!!!!

Visited Mcdonald's for breakfast on the way to Alton Towers. Typical Mcdonald's - good food and drink, no complaints. Does seem busy at this branch - not much parking and drive through had a queue but still ideal for a stop off. Would recommend..

Waited about 15 mins for food and they parked me up very poor location staff where talking about another customer and ignoring me,got ing informant we I asked for a BBQ sauce I asked can I have two they said no one they said sauce was in he bag and it was not, i asked for a medium meal but they charges me for a large meal and gave me medium drink and fries only realised after left there so could go back,very poor service as they got my order wrong and charged me for large meal and I only got medium meal,vry poor service

The food is absolutely delicious, my only comment I need to say is make sure you specify your order exactly. :) :) :) :) :)

The staff shout at u from the drive through speaker they always park u up for the order the staff in the window . The wait for the drive thru if horrific sometimes 20 mins. So slow,very poor avoid.ur best going a supermarket . The food is cold sometimes and they sometimes get ur order wrong,worst parts are shouting at u from drive thru speaker they then say why didn't u wait by speaker when no one was there useles .people got better thing to then wait to eat unhealthy food.

Bought takeaways yesterday and was so disappointed will probably not use Mcdonalds again. Fries tasted like they were cooked the day before. The baps were not Mcdonald's usual soft ones but dry and stick in the throat texture. The Fillet was just the same. Care needs to return or profits will suffer.

Used as it is fast and convenient. However, I agree with previous reviewer, they fail to get the orders right and you end up returning or parking up and going into the restaurant if you have used the drive thru. Food quality is as you expect - it's a MacDonalds! Cannot recommend the drive thru, you are wasting your time.

You know what to expect when you go to a Mcdonalds, on occasions its the fast food that's promised, and on other occasions you wait 15 minutes for food after waiting in a queue for 15 minutes!

After spending the day at alton towers and too knackered to eat, it then became late in the evening and we both got the muchies so in the car we got a drove to macdonalds which was 2 minutes away from our hotel, the food was hot and service fast.

I drove through as I only live up the road .whats the point of a drive through if you have to go and wait ! when the food came was wrong and had to go in myself , ive also drove through and got home which is 2 minutes away and the food was cold , id say go in you have more chance of getting what you want
