Fast food but really slow. If you’re in a hurry give this drive through a miss. For the second time in two visits I have had to park up and wait 15 minutes for my food to be delivered to the car. It’s not like our order was anything out of the ordinary: a Big Mac meal and a Cheeseburger Happy Meal. A really poorly managed franchise.

Waited over half hour for food at busy time, asked for refund which I got after asking three separate people. Needs new management

There has literally never been a time we haven’t had to park up and wait for our cold food at this McDonald’s even when no cars in front or behind. A few years ago it was decent, what happened? Always something missing as well. Would rather drive to the Polegate one by the roundabout they’re fab there.

Poor food, incorrect order, bad staff attitude will not return. Only visited due to slow delivery and cold delivered food.

Appauling sxxt hole!!! Came here with my grandchildren and my god the place wants shutting down! The restaurant was absolutely disgusting and filthy with rubbish and food everywhere! On the tables, seats, floor! No staff cleaning , it was packed , queues of delivery drivers and customers waiting, all staff looked about 15! Managers looking all Sheepish, shuffling around avoiding the chaos! Food was cold as per usual , items missing , worst macdonald’s I have ever visited , clearly the powers that be at this massive company don’t give a crap! The money they must make is mind blowing!! And that’s obviously more important than running a restaurant the way it should be! Shame on you Maccy D’s

I keep coming back like a moth to a flame. This is the worst McDonalds ever!! They just keep serving deliveroo drivers while I wait, and wait and wait some more. Visited Tuesday 11th June 2024 5.30pm Server Would not hand over my food order to me whilst I was in the drive thru at the collection window. I was told to park up and wait, as there were two people ahead of me. ( not literally I was at the front of the drive thru) but those poor souls had dutifully parked up. I Explained that I ordered fries and nuggets please can you give me my order I have not got time to wait parked up. It is fries and nuggets not a banquet of special order burgers without this and extra that etc. 1 x fries 1x6 nuggets! That’s it! 🙃 The Incompetent Server refused and asked me to park up. ( if I had wanted to park up I would’ve selected that option on the app not drive thru collection) I explained no sorry, I’m not prepared to park up, I am in a rush. From past experience I’ll be waiting 10/20 minutes if you’re lucky. Incompetent server again refused to get me my order as it was ‘not my turn’ How it ended, I politely refused to move…. So, Eventually incompetent Server got my nuggets and fries in 30 seconds. See, there were ready!🙄 Final Comment from incompetent server. “Next time don’t come to McDonald’s if you’re in a rush” I kid you not, this is what he said! 😆 🤔 is this not the McDonald’s fast food drive thru que? (Also when did it become acceptable to speak to paying customers in that manner?) He then proceeded to pass the food bag to me without even looking at me and walked off. Customer service skills 👎🏻 Note to Incompetent server, Why take it personally? You’re there to give people their orders 😆 Note to manager of this branch. Wouldn’t it be more logical to complete orders that are easy and viable eg fries and nuggets there and then? At the collection window? Rather than having every single order park up? That way, it will enable your staff to catch up on the orders? Newhaven East Sussex McDonald’s branch nearly always asks people to park up immediately rather than completing the order at the window. They’re renowned for it. I have visited many other McDonald’s all over the uk and they do not need to park every drive thru like Newhaven does. Why? It was not a busy today, it’s a Tuesday afternoon. What are you and your staff not doing to make it all work like a well oiled machine like other fast food branches are capable of? If you can complete some of the orders in between the orders that are backed up and parked up surely the whole system will catch up again? This is where you’re going wrong Newhaven McDonald’s. Train your staff to be more efficient!? Get new management?

Waiting 40min before food came it was from drive through no sauce in bags when we drove away and food could be hotter.The worst mc Donald’s I every been to.

Dreadful! Ordered ok waited 20 mins. All food was cold. Chips cold. My chicken burger was cold and it was like eating paste. One burger came roll was all folded up. Coffee was good. Milkshakes good. This resturant is only interested in drive through and delivery. Very understaffed and all seemed to be working slowly. Had to wait to be served at the counter,as well as a 20min wait to be served cold food. Have had several long waits at this restaurant. No way will we be going back.

1 HOUR WAIT on a Sunday eve for a small order for family of 4. When order came it was comically bad. Melted milkshakes, wrong size bun that didn't fit the burger, one burger had two bottom halves of a bun only on it and undercooked floppy fries. Staff move so slowly, have no sense of urgency, no one is expediting, there was a table of 60 burgers cooked and ready to go with no one pulling the orders together but one slow guy. This happened too last time we came back in Feb and we won't use this branch ever again.

Just bought pancakes with syrup ... except there was no syrup or butter, and one of the pancakes had the consistancy of a paving slab. Took them back, manager couldn't have been less interested if he tried. Really should know better, in between the long waits for drive through food (our record is 45 minutes), which is never hot, and the screwed up orders this place is dire. Do yourself a favour and go to KFC next door!

Ordered a basic, large fries,double cheese burger and coke(pretty ordinary food) at 20.32 finally got it at 21.16 . 44 minutes! For something that was just thrown together on finally opening the box. Ticket number went from preparing to collection then disappeared, back to collection to me finally asking someone where it was, 12 mins later it appeared. They only seem interested in drive thru, and the delivery drivers, Absolutely terrible service

Lost my drive through order so left me waiting outside for 30minutes till I enquired. Manager was rude and staff were unsympathetic for the wasted time. I reordered only to discover they got this wrong too! Worst McDonalds in the world! I will never visit here again.

Pleasant staff not clean especially the lavatories and bins over flowing outside. Coffee was cold food luke warm. The place needs to be kept clean and better personal presentation of some staff. it makes you think the kitchen is not clean and basic hygiene lacking.

Such a shame to witness so much food go to waste all because this store was so incredibly slow at putting out orders that people were returning their food that had gone cold after half hour wait . After 30 minutes waiting for drive thu to provide a simple order of cheese burgers and chicken nuggets during a time at was near on empty ,we finally gave up and requested a refund . Shape up guys you can do so much better .

No breakfast wraps or oasis . This McDonald’s used to be the best ! Now it is hands down the worst ! The McMuffin buns are always like biscuits always running out of food and always short staffed so the wait time is horrendous

Talking through my own experience I lost for words to describe the terrible level of service i get from this Mcdonald in Newhaven. If I order food online, in store or drive through i never get what ordered or paid for, Always items missing or i get wrong items and the waiting time inside the store is ridiculous. The managers and staff don't even take your concerns or complaints serious. It's just a waste of time and money, which translates into stress we don't need .

This is by far the WORST McDonald I've ever experienced! Shocking!! Food always late, cold and milkshakes runny and clearly been sat for a long time. Every time we've ordered at the window we are told to park up then we are left waiting even longer, Staff are rude who couldn't care less and management are the Actual root cause as far I can see. TERRIBLE!!!

Absolutely disgusting place. Can't get anyone's orders right. Food is absolutely freezing cold because you have to sit parked up for 40 plus minutes. Then they can't seem to find your car. Filled all of the uber drivers orders first as they get priority. Yet if you order with uber, it also arrives freezing cold and we have been waiting over an hour. Can't get through to the restaurant as they don't awnser their phone. Can't get through to drivers. Awful awful service all round. Needs to be boycotted.

Fourth or fifth time I’ve had it delivered and they’ve missed something off the order or it’s arrived stone cold or looks like it’s been put together by a toddler. I know it’s fast food but Christ. Tends to be marginally better if you go there direct. Still get stuff wrong regularly and you have to go back in for it to be corrected. I know it’s fast food and I’m not expecting the world but I want what I pay for, for it to be warm, and for it to arrive in a way that I can eat it.

The inside eating area is dirty with food left on the tables and the bins are overflowing and you wait ages for the food. Here seems to be no organisation

Waited for over 25 minutes for food to be served and nit for the first time the orders completely wrong. I've ask for a brown sauce muffin away tomato sauce. I was really shocked to see food preparation people openly touching and preparing food with their bare hands, I watched this spooty guy scratching his face then go back to picking up chicken fillets with his hands and arrange them in a wrap, then he picked it up in both hands, wrapped it and stuffed it into a box, then he went on to handle meat patties with his hands, picking them up and arranging them several times, then I noticed that ALL the food prep people were handling food with their bare hands. Not Nice! Wont be going to MacDonalds ever again. WEAR GLOVES!!!!!
