Mcdonald's Restaurants in Lancaster

Ordered for delivery they forgot an entire meal and when I contacted them they were incredibly rude on the phone. Offered no help in how to get a refund for the missing items, maybe think about employing people who know how to handle things like this and aren't teenagers with no people skills and incredibly awful attitudes.

The food is nothing special, and the staff don't put that much effort into their job and the building is always full and people vaping

Who was it that had the brain fart to change the look of Mc Donalds to the way they serve Staff member took my order for the family, only to wait 14 minutes and what a surprise some of it was wrong, on complaining about this I was told they don't serve mozzarella sticks But yet on asking they took the payment How many of you folk have waited for the order only to see your hot drink made many minutes before you receive your order Only to find your drink is just about warm Plus how much slower it is Even some of the staff don't like the changes 10 out of 10 for the Brain Fart \m/

Can’t wait for them to go staffless. Third time this week i got loads of eggs mcmuffins instead of double sausage and egg. Staff more braindead than you’re average mcdonalds staff

Went to Lancaster macdonalds today and I reported a women going to the toilets in front of me and I seen her with an injection there was a spare toilet available and she waited till the far 1 came vacant I reported it to 3 staff members 1 said go get security from staint Nicolas arcade another 1 didn't do much and the manager went up and the women was still in there and the manager told me there was nothing she could do as it could be medication but it was a drug addict. Went to see security and was told they are not allowed to go in and check anymore and that place was full of children I myself won't be going back as this is a disgrace

Where do I start, I ordered from JustEat & when my order the delivery driver told me part of my order was missing as he was refused the order at the restaurant & to put a refund request in, unhappy with this abismol service, I phoned the restaurant & spoke with an employee who stated that there was an error of miscommunication & he told me to put a refund request in on JustEat, so I did so & just eat have stated I'm not eligible for a refund, so I emailed the restaurant advising I had 1 x milkshake & 3 x McFlurrys was undelivered & explained the situation. WELL WELL WELL what a lack of customer service the poorly trained management team have tried to blame JustEat & taking no accountability even though the Driver & the employee both said the items was undelivered! There is a massive lack of professionalism with the managers responding via email, they come across as being blunt, condescending & not even willing to understand my point of view. I had 4 items missing at the cost of £8.05 probably because tge milkshake / ice cream machine was being cleaned & it's easier to blame a third party instead of owning up to their error! Very disappointed & ba ba ba ba baaaa I'm not loving it

I popped in for a coffee today. A young staff member named Sarah was greeting customers as they entered, Sarah is an absolute credit to McDonalds. Sarah never stopped smiling, assisting customers and working to keep the place look tidy for the duration of my visit (approximately 45 mins) well done Sarah keep up your amazing work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Very very busy! Felt sorry for staff, but they were polite, helpful and food was fresh.

Chocolate milkshake missing Chocolate despite 3 attempts even adding fresh syrup to machine. Strawberry not much of an improvement as an alternative so left it and left store.

Average food. Terrible service and an awful atmosphere to boot. You can't even sit down due to just eat bicycles blocking the seats.

Really bad unfortunately. I’m a big fan of McDonald’s but this one needs real significant improvement. I know it’s a busy city centre location, but does that mean it needs to be as unfortunate as this? Quick rundown. Dirty grubby floors that haven’t seen a mop in ages. Discarded food trodden in to the same floor area. Quick serve displays that NEVER and I mean NEVER give you a receipt. With the order number you really need to be on the ball as it flashes on the screen for 0.15 seconds (Literally blink and you’ll miss it!!). The order display has packed in so you need to listen out for a staff member shouting out your order number (If you have it). In the event that you missed the 0.15 second display of your order number then the inevitable incredulity at your ineptitude of missing said order number is obvious for all to see. If you order take out, do not expect any straws or napkins as the standard position is that you can manage without them. Overall an unkempt dishevelled example of a global icon which just ain’t fair on the brand.

Very very dirty. Only take out food, no trays and no indoor bins.

Visiting McDonald's recently, I had an unexpectedly delightful experience, largely thanks to Stivan, the staff member who served me. His prompt and courteous service stood out, making a routine fast-food run memorable. Stivan's attention to detail and genuine care in ensuring customer satisfaction shone brightly, setting a high standard for customer service.

Great food and it's also good they started to reduce the salt on the chips because they taste so much better. Delivery took 10 minutes and always tastes so gooddddd But what I would say though is the most of the time my mcflurrys are melted But overall the food is good

My mcflurry came half empty and melted with hardly any kit kat bits

This McDonalds is the worst ever...So dirty!! The food was terrible chicken was so over cooked or had been hanging about a long time... Chips were cold. This is the 2nd time that we've experienced this...Thought maybe it was a BLIP so we went back a second time....We’ve been using this McD in Lancaster for years and it's totally went down hill.....When Sarah was there she kept the Floor area spotless!!...Definately won't be going back there....Floor space needs a good Deep Clean!!! Such a shame as the staff are lovely.. This McDs needs a really good experienced manager to get the place back in shape!!!

It was a wet and cold day ,they had air con on it was freezing in there, I was shivering eating my food

I bought today a happy meal for my son with bottle of milk and the milk had expired, with yesterday's date. I noticed it just at home as my son wanted to take it drink for home. I feel it unfair as i paid for it as a part of the happy meal. Next time i will be checking everything in front of the staff.

Wow the attitude of the Polish girl at 6am is enough to put anyone off there food, rolling her eyes at simple requests by different customers, if you don't like working at mc Donalds get another job!!

Restaurant uncontactable, very local delivery took 2 hours, all food freezing cold and wet and delivery driver uninterested and did not understand what was being said then rode off, ring video clip saved to show the restaurant if only I could get hold of them

Food is ok like all McDonald in the UK, but service is too bad, you need to wait a long time to get you food, and staff are all often ignore the customers.

An overall bad experience. Bad food, slow service, rude staff. Honestly glad it’s on the boycott list because it gives reason to never return to this hellish place on earth.

This has got 2B the coldest Macdonalds in the country. I don't know what's worst, this or KFC.

More delivery drivers than staff. You wait half an hour for your food and do your best to get to the counter past all the thermal bags. They need a separate unit for deliveries as it has a huge impact on what was once fast food.

Dreary, untidy and unorganised. People trying to order have to squeeze past people waiting ages for there food. Waiting 20mins for food just isnt fast food. Plenty of staff but when 1 person stands there piling drinks onto a table and doing nothing else just doesnt shout productivity.

When i went to mcdonalds on a sunday night it was TERRIBLE. It took them 1 hour to give me my food and it came cold. The thing is i only ordered a mc flurry and fries so it should have not took that long. The ice scream was basicly melted at this point. When they say the order numbers you cant even hear them propperly and when you want to order at counter they will just ignore you.The toilets were so bad i will never go to their toilet again!The other time was i took a chicken mayo burger and i was sixk after it..

Food aint has good anymore . We my last meal there was awful.i had to take it back and get a fresh meal and drink absolutely disgusting and I like mcdonalds but this was poor .

Service can be very busy at times, but on the flip side either new or temp staff can just be seen at the front counter with their backs to customers having conversations, when it gets to the point of us having to make noise to even be acknowledged becomes frustrating to rate the service Highly.

Definitely the worst place to try burgers. Came in for a takeaway, the chicken crispy burger buns were burnt and had a bad after taste. Would not recommend.

Probably the worst mcds ive been in for some time. Worn out, tired looking and felt generally dirty. Tables etc all badly worn. Prime example of why mcds should not be open 24 hours.....never closed to deep clean and cant keep on top of the wear !

There is always a massive wait time.

I ordered online through McDelivery, Uber eats were completely fine but the food was poor quality and we were missing an item which I was told by the shop to call head office, who then told me to call Uber eats and so I spent 30 minutes trying to get a resolve this for missing food. Utterly abismal

The staff were amazing even tho it was 3.30 in the morning and they were stacked because it had been Bollywood night in the city

Came for a loving 6 year anniversary meal with my other half, ordered a quarter pounder with cheese without cheese and they were exceptional following those instructions. Sadly we were the appauled by the seating area, INFESTED with mini and large flies. It seems they must be keeping the cows in the back of the building or something 🪰🪰🐄🐮 Was serenaded by some very good tunes until the ginger man came on. Ed sheeran is not something I enjoy listening to on my anniversary meal and should be banned across all public platforms. Other than this, food was scrannable, husband made it worthwhile 💍👬

This was by far one the worst McDonalds experience I have ever had. We arrived at 7:30 and ordered as we had booked to see a film at 9:30 and wanted time to eat and have a wander around town. We were stood waiting for 1 and a half hours and we’re not the only set of customers to do so, we spoke to some others who had been waiting for over 2 hours for their food, some even being Delivery drivers. There were only 5 people working at most, all very young staff who looked like they were lost and lacked without direction, neglecting in store orders over delivery orders, the store manager didn’t have a clue what was going on. The pass had well over 30 burgers unaccounted for and unpacked (I assume from previous orders that had been cancelled due to the wait tame). We finally got our food after asking, albeit cold, we had already been waiting for an hour and a half and were left rushing to get to the cinema. A shambolic experience for all involved, so disorganised, and the food was utterly disgusting, the nuggets had gone rubbery, and the burgers had gone stale. Further, the chips were not even salted as they had run out of salt and could not be bothered to replace it!! I would not recommend this McDonalds, go to any of the other fast food places in Lancaster, or to the other McDonald’s at Caton road.

What a disaster !!! Ordered nuggets for granddaughter. Waited 20 mins and no sign of order on screen. Was then told there was a 40 min wait. 1 hour to get some nuggets. The place was heaving but no one was getting served as they were focusing on online orders only. I asked for my money back and was refused as it’s against policy. The manager was hiding at the back and refused to come forward to sort the chaos. I refused to move so they eventually reimbursed me. The place was packed and everyone was complaining. What a shambles , what has happened ? Needs sorting and manager needs to manage not hide !

Food is almost always cold when ordering online and always manages to miss items from orders. They don't make milkshakes correctly and just give you whatever flavour they think is strawberry. Most of the staff just stand around talking half the time and the machines barely ever work. Have to remind staff for the sauce/dips and other things which should occur naturally during their role.

Very busy inside. Nowhere to sit. Only 1 Order yourself machine working. No real queue to join to order food, rather a gather of people just stood everywhere waiting for their orders. The upstairs was barricaded closed with a cleaning stand, so people had nowhere to sit. When we asked where we should sit to eat,The staff weren't much help and just said most people prefer to eat out now. Considering it was below zero degrees we certainly didn't want to sit on a bench outside. The main automatic door was switched off, so those fortunate to get a seat were sat freezing with the door wide open. Dirty stand where u collect your napkins and condiments (We managed to get a pic of one of the trays) we would say that this is not a dining in restaurant and we wouldn't recommend at all.

Have been here several times after nights out and it always slaps. One of the employees charged my phone so i could get home as well 10/10 👍

Didn't even get all my food there was commotion in their that evening and paid for a order but then when I got the bag I didn't check till I got home, missing items. The security on the door seem to make more problems than they solve some of the times I've visited.

This mcdonald's is okay, it really needs to be moved to a larger location there is too many customers squeezed into the building

I ordered 2 small fries on the machine but the machine didn't print out my number or show it on the screen so the manager came up to me and said I didn't order anyylthing even though I did and then she said that they called the number out but I didn't know what number I was. Worst place ever

I got myself a double Big Mac with Bacon, but unfortunately it didn't come with any bacon at all. Had me a bit disappointed man, but mistakes happen. However I will say, the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and Caramel Iced Frappé are bangin'. I was actually a little bit surprised with how good they are!👍🏻

Milkshakes were unavailable and although the service was good the standard of the decore and certainly the electronic ordering system was unstable having clearly been previously abused.

Worst fillet-o-fish burger I've ever had in my life. The fillet was rock solid.

Just ordered a McDelivery via the app and as per usual items were missing. The staff here seem incapable of actually checking they've bagged up the correct order before handing it over to the delivery driver. In store experience isn't the greatest either. They close upstairs off at tea time leaving a tiny selection of seats so you can never get a seat. Obnoxious responses when you try to raise this as an issue (mind you Lancaster is an obnoxious little town anyway, where most people there have a snooty little chip on their shoulder). Horrible little chavs always kicking off with security there at tea time when families are trying to eat, and nothing ever seems to be done about this ongoing problem

Went for a coffee at Caton rd Maccys and it was disgusting three times this has happened. Won't be going again I'll stick to Greggs in future and one more thing the young lad on the drive through intercom said you don't sell ice coffee fraps . My partner had to go into Maccys to buy one. The customer service is as bad as the prices .

We ordered from here and when we got home we realised that over half the order was missing. we called them and the woman who answered was incredibly rude, no apology. she basically said it was our problem to sort and we needed to sort a refund ourselves - no instructions on how to do so or any other alternative solution. i understand mistakes happen but the lack of customer service and general care for the fact we had paid for food we didn’t receive was unbelievable. i’m genuinely shocked at how rude the response was

Really good McDonald's, they had a member of staff keeping up cleaning and the service was as good as usual from maccers

The food at McDonald's in Lancaster is alright, and not expensive but the quality of the fries are poor and the atmosphere is quite loud and noisy. The food is served quite quickly though.

Upon walking up to the counter to collect some food I was appalled to see a front of house looking so disgusting.I understand places can get busy but when you have over 10 staff there it doesn’t take much effort to have a tidy around. I thought back in the day McDonald’s had a philosophy of clean as you go. I was then asked to leave by the manager when I took a picture of the mess and brought it to her attention .I was given a refund and left without food and definitely won’t be going back.

The service is just okay, and some sales staff can't seem to tell the difference between takeout and dine-in; the hygiene is barely adequate.

Broken self-service machines and malfunctioning order screens

Quite a small outlet as far as city center Macdonald's go, but it was clean and efficient. The food tastes good although the servings were a little small. I always customise my orders and find the difference between outlets very apparent. This branch to date has offered the smallest add-on portions.

Walked out. Bad service. No drinks no signs. No communication. Cleanliness is non existent.

They don’t let you in, if you come from a disco. The discriminate you, depending on your nationality. It is the door man. It is one of them not both.

One of the better McDonald's for service and cleanliness. They do seem to prioritise the just eat service. Still it doesn't really add too much waiting time.

Floor was covered in food and the tables were dirty . The toilets were horrible to use too ,as they needed a good clean .

It isn't like it used to be, the self service machines were out of order. However the service wasn't too bad didn't have to wait long due to the time of day we went. And as for the toilets upstairs they are not fit to use.

Quite busy for a Thursday afternoon. A few young people causing trouble and being rude to customers aswell as staff. The restaurant was relatively clean though the toilets weren't as clean as they could have been. The wait times weren't too long and the food was warm when we received it. All round, not too bad.

Staff clearly couldn't care less. Food was mediocre. Fries were soggy, burger Luke warm. The burger van in front of this store serves much quicker, better, and much friendlier service.

Recently made an order to my home which had a complete meal missing (Chicken legend with BBQ sauce). Incredible difficulty contacting number and in the end had to give up since the help offered on any website or contact was useless. Absolutely disgusted that someone can forget a complete meal.

Place was dirty and long wait for the food staff miserable bins in store overflowing with rubbish sauce spilt on stairs was a hazard toilets dirty when I asked the lady in charge to help get it clean I was told that she had just come onto shift and said that it was clean and it clearly not she got a girl to go sweep it but the toilet seat was dirty and I certainly wasn't going to use it another customer asked her to clean the table and the food wasn't very nice nice awful lunch my granddaughter went and got a napkin to clean our table.
