It's just a McDonald's, what can you say😁

Surly unfriendly staff like most McDonald's, they are trained to outalk you, offer you something you don't want and don't listen to what you do want and this branch at Lancaster the food I ordered was hours old and not cooked to order at all. One star.

My visit to McDonald's on Caton Road in Lancaster was incredibly disappointing. The attendant's racist and disrespectful behavior marred our experience. Not only did she ignore my friends and me, but she also mocked our accents. Moreover, she intentionally messed up our order, leading to unnecessary expenses and dissatisfaction with our meals. When I attempted to address the issue with the supervisor, he brushed off our complaints, claiming to be too busy. This level of disregard for customer concerns is unacceptable, particularly for a global corporation like McDonald's. It's disheartening to encounter such poor service in what should be an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers.

Had the breakfast muffin and coffee. Great value for money 💰

Kids jumping on the counter and stamping all over the confectionery on the floor, no manager did anything about it and I waited 25 minutes for my food. There was only 2 people in front of me and the person who made a bigger order behind me got there’s first. The toilets are disgusting. This is probably the worst McDonald’s I’ve had in my life. The fries was way overcooked. Please you mcspastics sort your restaurant out.

Dirty tables, dirty floors, food dry/stale. No presentation of the food. Staff rude no interaction with customers. Go nearly every week and its getting worse. Bins over flowing. Wipe ya feet on way out not on way in!

I ordered a chicken select meal, nuggets, plain burger and double cheeseburger meal. The chicken selects weren't included and had been forgotten by staff, the chips from the meals were incredibly cold and the coke was pretty flat. I should have checked my order as given, but I was struggling to hold it all due to insufficient bag, and wanted to escape as there was a constant beeping from the machines as they weren't being attended to. A phone call to the store resulted in the promise of free items next time, but I have to keep my receipt which I'll likely lose before I get it back. Just poor overall service.

Nothing fancy just as you would expect

The food was hot, service was a little slow at busy times. Lost a star as the restaurant could do with a deep clean. Take a good look behind the scenes whilst driving through, and you'll know what I mean!!

greasy staff with attitude problems that cant make the food edible

Missed wrap off the order, included BACON in VEGGIE muffin. Once those 2 got resolved the wrap was made wrong. Syrup in the pancakes tasted very MINTY. About the only thing they didn't mess up were the coffees. Even the toilets were blocked and overflowing. By far the worst experience we've had so far.

Got my order wrong 3 times. Gave my vegetarian daughter bacon inside her egg McMuffin. Not very happy!!

Actually got fast food. Usually busy, they seem to prioritise the drive thru customers. On our visit there was only one car in drive thru. In and out in under 5 minutes

Short changed my little girl on her happy meal.. got home and she's missing a nugget.. not happy meal..

Busy and not much parking. The Quarter Pounder was pretty disappointing, nothing like the photo, I think mine was made using a Big Mac roll so it looked very small.

For a McDonalds, this is one of the highest ratings I've given. Not my normal place to eat but sometimes needs must. Staff welcomed us with a smile and the ordering screens actually worked, unlike other McD we have been to. Still slower than someone working a till who knows what they are doing though. Clean, food hot & nice drinks. Downside, lot of salt on the fries and the car park's not big enough May 2023. Visited with grandkids, wouldn't choose to go to a McDonald's myself. Food was OK and ready to collect quickly. March 2024. Drive-thru for the kids. Difficult to hear the staff when placing the order thanks to the noise of cars behind and to the side of us.

Food was cold.. triple cheeseburger and fries. Burger looked like it jad been thrown together then stamped on, the wrapper was barely on it. Staff were all young and already witnessed a shining example of teenage attitude toward another customer so didnt bother complaining. Zero atmosphere and pretty grotty inside. Looks like it need a good scrub down top to bottom. I don't like giving negative reviews but I genuinely can't find a positive to give.. I won't go again it was so bad.

Clean and really quick service. Popped in off the M6 heading north for a egg mcmuffin. Would recommend.

Okay service, nice staff. Really like that the car park is so big here, makes the drive through concept that much easier. Shame that the ice cream machine is broken so often though and no crayons for the kids to colour with.

Staff don't have a clue how to run this place. They were just young girls and boys, didn't put any fries on, left us plus other customers waiting over 25 minutes for their orders with missing items.

Handy location. Good parking. Great access to the cycle ways. Large upstairs area which seems to be closed most of the time.

Brought my children tonight for a Friday treat. McDonald’s is McDonald’s they like the food. Staff on the other hand…. Appalling!! Slamming food down, bad attitudes and look like they had people. Sort it out McDonald’s Caton road lancaster

Repeating what the last review alluded to…. How do you forget to add fries 🍟 to 3 meals ? It must be virtually impossible to do! Luckily, we checked the bag of food before driving out of the car park. Then, we had the faff of parking up & going into the packed restaurant to get what we’d paid for 🤬. No apology. Just the condescending look from one of the employees, who clearly didn’t believe me ! Food was fine, once we’d retrieved it all.

Every time we go they always forget things. It’s not even as if they were busy, we were the only ones there! Went through the drive through, asked specifically for sauces coz they always forget them, she said they were in the bag so we left and there weren’t any

clean toilets fast food. double muffin had grease dripping, it was nice though. not enough parking when busy and coffee was nearly hot enough for me. staff nice :)

Mason bryce delivered my food cold, and not on time. The food also did not contain all its ingredients leading me to have to go downstairs and request the missing ingredients to be added.

Great venue, nice bra new looking restaurant, looked after. Pretty busy though and wait time can be longer than average.

Staff could look happy. Always takes a long time for table service here. The upstairs was in the process of being cleaned - well that is questionable in it self. Loads of fries etc under areas which had been cleaned. Always have to wipe tables down with napkins and they are not clean, ketchup all over

Received none of my food through the app for the store and then they wouldn’t refund or deliver the food.

I asked for a frappe. Opened the lid to see CHUNKS OF ICE with whipped cream and sauce on the top. What the hell.

Far better service than the Morecambe road restaurant and you actually get what you order!

Went through drive through for a cheeky burger and chips but decided to put mustard on my burger which I asked for with no mustard luckily this was anticipated so I quickly flew threw the drive through at break neck speeds like a rally driver to have this atrocity corrected once food was sorted though it was very very nice and was sorted at a decent speed Image below depicts me going round the drive through to have my order corrected

This was posted by my husband and was briskly deleted from their Google site. Therefore post it here too. I stopped at this mcdonald's on my way back to Wales from the Lake District. After placing my order I waited 15 minutes for it to be prepared. I assumed that as I had waited so long my food would be fresh and hot. What I received was 2 stone cold bigmacs, 1 luke warm cheeseburger, and 2 portions of half cooked fries, it tasted so bad that even my 11 yr old son refused to eat it. The staff were all sour faced and definitely had the air of people who don't care about either the customer or the reputation of mcdonald's. I also noticed that at least 2 members of staff, one of whom was a supervisor/manager, were not wearing a hair net or cap to keep their hair contained. I also witnessed staff delivering orders to customers who had occupied the disabled bays despite not displaying a blue badge, as required. As I am a wheelchair user I find this very offensive. WORST MCDONALD'S I HAVE EVER VISITED, THE STAFF SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!

Ordered on the app. People parked in the way of pick up point. The payment didn't go through but was eventually sorted. When I arrived home one the vegetable deluxe ordered was missing. The drinks ordered were unavailable..

I came to the McDonald’s at 1:00 in the morning to get some food and something to when u arrived they told me it was closed for IT reason but hers does to st stop them from making a double cheeseburger

Waited over half an hour for food. Drew the staff's attention to the fact that we were still waiting but no one seemed to care including the team leaders. One member of staff looked like he had just got out of bed and arrived for work with long scruffy fringe flopping around all over the place. There was no apology nor explanation from the team leader for the delay. When we eventually received our meal, the drinks were cool so we had to ak for them to be changed. We regularly dine at McDonalds and don't usually have problems but this place was shocking.

Had to wait an incredible 25 mins for a bacon and egg burger. When I received it the bacon was pretty much raw. Girl had to apologise to everyone in the queue for delays. Serious management issues - avoid

We do keep going back here when we need a quick no-fuss meal, because it's local but every time there are issues, thinking when we go back it cant be as bad, and it is. On previous visits we have had items missing, added items we didn't order and even the totally wrong order. The most recent time....the fries were cold, limp and looked like old dregs from the bottom, both our burger buns were burnt (Something which has happened times previously) my McChicken sandwich, the actual chicken, it looked like some sort of science experiment that had been left for years to see how it would deteriorate, as it was thin, hard and dry........AAAAND, this is the breaker...the apple pie was absolutely stone cold....these apple pies are normally so hot you cant eat them for ages. Granted we didn't eat in, we took the order home, which is 5-10 minutes away by car but still expect it to be edible. This branch is an absolute joke and a blight on the McDonalds brand...i would email McDonalds about it but there doesn't appear to be a way to get in touch with them.

9/10 when going through the drive through something is forgotten last time two Big Macs and a portion of fries! Go in to ask for my food and I get glared at like I’m lying! Last night tried giving me extra drinks got home and no Big Mac or fries! Surely people shouldn’t have to constantly check their own order it’s ridiculous mistakes happen but this branch of McDonald’s is just so slap dash and unprofessional id be embarrassed if I managed this place!

Ordered at the electronic stations and it was quite a large order. Although the service was slick and the order was correct, the Big Mac was stone cold. I am not sure how this could happen as the restaurant was busy and staff seemed rushed off their feet. I have found the food cold on numerous times at this McDonald’s.I am always disappointed with the quality of the food.

This is my closest mcds and I unfortunately go there often, it was great news for lancaster when this place opened but it’s such a disappointment. I know it’s fast food but it would be l somewhere to stop for coffee, a cool drink or an emergency meal in a great location. This place must be a gold mine. My visit Sunday just gone was the final straw and trigger to write this review. Over the summer I’ve walked down with my kids a couple of times and found the disabled/baby change loo downstairs to be absolutely filthy, smelling of urine, puddles on the floor, no toilet roll. Unsuitable for use. Tables are not wiped down between customers, grime, smears and fingerprints on the screens, windows and door handles. Bits of food all over the floor. I take my own sanitising wipes if dining in! Frequently drive thru orders are incorrect with items missing. It’s pennies but for each missing item how much is mcds making off this?? Staff attitude is appalling, they shrug their shoulders and don’t care, don’t speak properly down the intercom. Seem to take pleasure in informing you that most of the menu is unavailable, most drinks seem to be unavailable most of the time. Went on Sunday night after a shift needing something to eat. Hardly anything available and virtually no drinks. Managed to order something. Then there was an unexplained hold up for my order, a crew of staff hanging around appearing to be on strike, awaiting the closedown for bank holiday even though it was nowhere near closing time. I heard, and saw an older member of staff, presumed to be management, bellowing down the kitchen at someone with profanities basically telling them to do some work or else they weren’t going home. They were visibly folding boxes and simultaneously trying to pack up for the night alongside serving customers. This senior member of staff had clearly lost control of the situation resorting to bullying and verbal abuse to motivate the staff to carry on. It’s a disgraceful state of affairs as they clearly need increased numbers of senior/management staff on shift. The staff are mostly teenagers and it seemed like lord of the flies culture or a school classroom. As prices have gone up in recent times, it’s no longer a cheap eat, standards should not be slipping and they could easily afford to place additional senior staff on the busy evening shifts. In addition, the car park has become a magnet for antisocial behaviour, there was a large group of teens congregating in their little cars and they had left a lot of rubbish behind. This needs reporting to police and these people need moving on. I don’t know how this place hasn’t been inspected and condemned by environmental health. Judging by the other reviews, it won’t be long until they do.

This was a very busy drive through - there was quite a long queue but it did go down quite quickly. The food was fresh and hot - because they are so busy they have a quick turnover of food.

Awful food. Uncooked fries and the lemonade was basically fizzy water as they must have forgotten the syrup. Also no ketchup put into bag. It was extremely busy so get more staff, get better organised and don’t sell poor food.
