Mcdonalds Restaurants in East Staffordshire

Ordered a delivery and when it arrived there were items missing. This isn’t the first time this has happened and I only ordered tonight because we had been drinking at a family celebration. I know from previous experience that McDonald’s take no responsibility for the fact that their staff struggle to read and pack orders. They can’t send a replacement because of their contract with Uber (easy to pass the buck). They can’t refund you directly you have to phone another number. The phone is never answered. All in all possibly the worst McDonald’s ever.

Awful awful awful service. Went through the drive thru and asked for sauce at the end. I was told I’d need to pay 10p. I said I only had card to which the extremely rude staff member said my options were to let her take my Apple Pay in store or I’d have to go back through the queue and wait 10 minutes to be served again. She had a really awful attitude and a smirk on her face the whole time. Disgusting. Apparently she was the shift manager too. If this is what makes these people leaders McDonald’s has some serious issues

Two lanes for ordering but the counter staff only seem to be taking orders from one, like is a game they play to keep themselves entertained and distracted from the fact they work in McDonald’s. It shouldn’t be this hard to order a coffee, it’s not even busy. I could have written this as the third car on the right lane is served while I wait for acknowledgement that I’m here instead of wondering if the camera is broken or I missed a lane closed sign (I didn’t) I gave up as the fourth car pulled in and the order boy confirmed I didn’t have an invisible car and I could have a coffee Burton on Trent McDonald’s is legendary for getting your order wrong but they’re usually quick to take the money so imagine my surprise

We ordered take away, they always get the order wrong always missing items , ie part of a meal or dips or both. You actually call them to get it sorted and they tell you there is nothing they can do “you have to contact Uber” . When you do they just say sorry!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH REALLY!!

Stopped off at this McDonalds on Centrum east retail park for refreshments during a business trip on Saturday 29th of April 2023. I don't normally write reviews about fast food outlets but i felt this one deserved a mention. I was pleasantly surprised by how polite and attentive the staff were, although very young you could tell they had been well trained in customer service skills, service was fast and efficient and the food was piping hot to which i have not experience from many other of these franchise outlets for a long time. Keep up the good work.....Da Da Da Da Dah.....I'm loving it!

Terrible service, I can’t believe McDonald’s senior management allow such dire disregard to basic customers satisfaction! In my opinion there is an obvious customer facing training issue and cultural discord amongst their disinterested staff! Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident, it took 30mins to get food from Drive Through on Friday evening and the queue of traffic when we joined was within the restaurant car park! Not one apology from staff taking order or from those giving us our food for the obvious slow service, and to make matters worse our order was incorrect! Absolute shambles!

Unbelievably poor customer service. Beggars belief. Sat waiting behind a car for 6 minutes. Car behind was beeping. Got to order point and no response. I actually thought the place must be shut. THEN AND YOU CAN'T WRITE IT. The girl on order desk started having a go at me for not waiting. Attitude stunk. Instead of just taking order she started having a go at me as if it was my fault. How can McDonalds have people like this in customer facing role. Avoid Branston McDonalds.

Terrible service. Terrible experience. Missed an entire burger of my order. Visted for 'fast' food between visting family and work. Didn't have long, but the queue for the drive through was barely past the order screens so I assumed that I would make it round in a reasonable time. The queue in front didn't move for close to 10 minutes and other cars had already joined behind me. So I was stuck. The mismatched order taking between lanes one and two meant that two other cars managed to skip ahead why the poor bloke infront of me sat there waiting for someone to take his order. The next thing that happened isn't necessarily a fault of the resturant, but the poor traffic management probably added to it. When the lanes remerged an impatient BMW driver nearly rammed the side of my car, sounded his horn, and flagged me. Wonderful. It took another 10-15 minutes to pay and get to the second window. Hardly fast. Even worse, nearly 20 minutes after I had ordered, I was asked to park up by the rude woman at the final window. Apparently my food wasn't ready. How come I was being asked to park up when everyone else had been allowed to hold up the queue this long? Who knows. I tried to explain that I was in a rush because I now needed to get home to change for work, and asked how long it would be. And here comes the part that made her seem rude to me. She didn't engage in a conversation with her customer, no she immediately called her manager over so they could both order me to park up. What kind of weird customer service is that? Immediately treated as the villian for questioning there service and asking for a time estimate on my 'fast' food. Ridiculous. Nevertheless I parked up. Just in time for the BMW chav to come rolling around with his window down pulling silly faces at me. Once again, wonderful addition to the experience. I waited another 5 minutes for my order to come. During that time no one else was asked to park up and the queue grew. Just to be clear I ordered some chicken nuggets and a couple of cheeseburgers as they come. No special requests. Nothing they would have to go out of their way to do. To top off the experience I found that I had only been given one of the two cheeseburgers I'd ordered. By this time I was home with less than five minutes to eat before I would have to get ready to work, so no time to go back to complain In summary. Horrid experience. Scammed out of the money for a burger I never recieved. Will be trying other fast food resturants in future. Avoid this one if you can.

I’ve been 3 times this week. (I have been working late so doing this for time saving). staff are always lovely can’t fault them. However all 3 times I’ve had a quarter pounder meal, the food is always so cold. Specifically the actual meat in the burger. I assume they cook all the meat at once and make the burgers as they need, however I can only assume they have left the meat for too long to sit and slowly go cold as every single time it is the meat that is cold. Also the fries are never hot. Sometimes they are cold but most of the time the fries are just barley warm. It’s stressful after a hard day at work just wanting a quick hot meal and to be given cold food. EVERY TIME. Previously I took my fries back as they were cold, they gave me fresh fries which I can only assume we’re out of the same batch as they were exactly the same as the ones I had given back, cold. Always so cold.

It’s the last time I come here. Last 3 times it’s taken 10-15 mins to get my food after 9:30pm. Last time I came I ordered at the drive through. Waited 5 minutes at the window then was told to park in a bay. So parked in a bay and after 15 minutes in the bay decided to go inside. Looks like they forgot me because food still was nowhere to be seen.

I know it’s only McDonald’s but thats not the point. My expectations aren’t that high but every-time I’ve visited, out of convenience because of the location. I’ve had poor service. Foods cold, orders incomplete, staff are rude. The managers look straight through you . It’s not on. They are even rude to each-other. There’s lots of staff so no need for the chaos. The only good thing I can say is the lady cleaning was pleasant and the place was tidy

Very attentive and helpful staff. Any issues just let them know and happy to help. Always great fresh a la carte orders delivered.

Awful truly awful. We ordered a happy meal just a happy meal nothing else at around 7pm via the drive thru. Two cars were in front of us. We FINALLY got our food at 7:40pm. Yes 40 minutes for a happy meal! No apology, no explanation. We couldn't exit the drive thru as we had two cars behind us. When we asked why there was delay apparently they were very busy....two cars and a handful of people inside. Maybe try puttig more staff on.... Avoid at all costs.

can’t fault these guys one iota. lovely lady called margaret on the dining area helping me out with where to order and where to stand to comply with covid regulations, followed my meal instructions for no onion on the burger and got my food in ample time

I go here frequently and the staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Granted that sometimes there is a bit of a wait but that is to be expected given the popularity of McDonald's as a business. I feel like a lot of the reviews on this page are unfair as you have to take things into consideration such as human error which can happen occasionally! I can safely say I've ordered from here 20+ times over the years and I've never had a problem once. The staff always seem like they are working hard and especially during these difficult times I have nothing but respect for all of them. Keep it up Branston McDonald's.

Ordered my usual fillet o fish with latte for the first time here in Burton branch, I ordered at the drive thru a fillet o fish meal with a toffee latte which I paid extra drove home as I don’t live that far soon as I had first sip it was a regular latte no toffee which was charged extra as the girl said not part of the meal drink I don’t mind paying extra but serve me what I ordered, it was heavy rain so I could not be asked to go back and get another one, when I called the girl said it’s impossible that if you ordered toffee latte and we gave you the wrong one I just hung up the phone no point wasting my energy early in the morning Highly disappointed

This used to be pretty good, many years ago. I called in today and I wasn't really impressed. The food was overpriced and luke warm, I was running late for an appointment so I hadn't time to send it back.

Is this the cleanest McDonalds? Maybe, a credit to the staff. Usual standard of drinks and pleasant and efficient service. Plenty of free parking on the site or the adjacent trading estate (limited time allowed).

Just driven to McDonald’s Branston Burton on Trent , used the drive through and ordered food for my husband and I had a 3 piece chicken select and asked if I could have a CHILLI DIP and coke with NO ICE , just got back home and not only are the chips barely warm and not as good as normal BUT there NO chilli Dip and ICE in my drink !!! I don’t know why I bother !!

Called in and very good service. Very clean and spacious premises. Mcflurry very nice. Plenty of free parking on this site

I ordered 43 meals to be picked up from this McDonald’s. They rang a few minutes ahead of pick up time to say they were starting to bag the food up. The staff were efficient and friendly and helped us carry the food out to the vehicles. All the food was correct. I would happily go back to this McDonald’s.

Efficient and quick service. Started to eat food within 2 minutes meat (burger) almost cold. Already got to A38 roundabout so didn't bother turning around to complain. Won't be visiting again

Been previously and used the drive thru and order was cold and wrong so sent a letter in and the manager apologised and have us a free meal. Left it for a couple of months and have recently just gone back.Pulled into drive thru and went to order the new Yorker to be told sorry it's not available. Ordered a strawberry milkshake to be told milkshakes are not available. On the previous occasion milkshakes were not available also. Never mind placed the rest of the order and sat and waited and waited 10 minutes in the drive thru and finally food was ready.I have been here thinking it's local and might change but over the past year nothing has! The food is tepid and not hot unless the fries have only just been cooked even then the carton is only half full. Over 8 visits only had milkshake twice as not been available. Burgers were cold on another occasion. Order totally wrong on another occasion.me personally can't eat egg so asked for a mcmuffin with no egg and got an egg. Even though it takes 2 mins to get to this one we now travel to one that is over 2 miles away just to get what we want. I have given plenty of time to review this place, giving allowances for the odd mix up or stock low. But I must say it hasn't got any better, just worse! Worth travelling further for a decent meal and sitting in the car park to eat it or eat in.Don't recommend at all.Feel for some of the nice staff there who actually talk pleasantly to you.

Extremely slow service and the burger was cold. The BigMac was sitting around on a tray whilst they put the fries on to cook. The girl apologised for the wait and warm burger with the explanation of "we are severely short staffed".Would I return? Probably.

The chicken select meal (Asked for FRESHLY cooked) was from the oven and had been there some time. Not Succulent as per the ad states, but dry and not at all crunchy..BUT I'll try again..and insist on FRESHLY cooked chicken select AND fries (Normally the fries are warm but not hot..)

Visit a few times a week for coffee with friends. Service is always fast and courteous. Staff are friendly and always ensure we are happy with the service and product. Nothing too much trouble. The coffees are lovely.

its just your normal mcdonalds nothing to compare it with....its getting expensive for a burger so dont go often

First time visit since the refit. Very clean and spacious. Friendly staff and first time used, table service. Plenty of parking on site or on the adjacent shopping centre.

Drive through was quiet ,great people pleasant however when you ask for no mayo on chicken burger or no sauce on burger they always get this wrong even after we waited . Shocking attention to detail.

Nipped in here due to staying in area one night so wanted a quick and easy dinner , put in on their touchscreen machines , then waited about 15 mins just for a standard simple meal , and was only 2 others waiting so not even busy ! shockingly slow service

Diabolical service. Drove in drive thru, asked to wait. After 4 cars had gone through the other channel, I was finally asked for my order. When I complained I had been there for 10-15 mins, I was told they were dealing with a complaint. To which I told them they'd be dealing with mine in a moment. Then I turned my engine off as I sat behind the 4 cars for a further 10 minutes, as nothing moved. Finally get to the window, to be greeted by some spotty Herbert that didn't give a monkey's that I had been in the drive thru for 25 mins. That blank expression, that unsympathetic sorry, that is it 10pm yet for my shift to finish ?

Went in at 8:20 am to order food the place was empty so you would think service would be fast.

This place is not a fast food outlet - should be advertised a slow food!! It’s a shame as really nice decor but cleaning stuff left all over. Service slow even though only 2 orders to make. Staff wandering round aimlessly. Baby chairs dirty from precious day. Ordered porridge, no spoon given, ordered pancakes, no syrup given, ordered tea and no milk given. An absolute shame for Burton!

This place has always been slow and today slumped even lower.

With the new modernisation it's much more difficult to order special items that are not on the large video display/self service units. There ire not many staff available to take individual orders and consequently it's MUCH quicker to order via the drive through facility (Unfortunately)

I have visited this branch a few times since its recent refit and every time the experience has been plagued by the number of flies that seem to be all around while i try to eat. Shame as the refit has really spruced the place up, but having flies land on everything is beyond annoying!!!

Every time me and my partner go their ‘24hour’ drive thru is closed.. really frustrating, but other times we go the food is always standard with the same service..

Ordered via touch screen. Waited over 10 minutes for food. Cold burger, cold latte and cold over cooked fries. It seemed that drive thru customers were the priority. Definately won't be returning.

Ordered pancakes had to wait a min or so before getting them ate in the car and was just like rubber so binned them overall avoid

I received a special offer from another McDonalds, printed out the email acknowledgment. This branch were unwilling to honour the deal as they said it was only for a Big Mac - although the voucher had no conditions. Dis-honest

Up to the normal standards you would expect from a large food chain. We did not have to wait to long for our food and it tasted good when we got it. Staff were lovely and made my daughters day when they gave her a fresh drink as she had dropped hers before getting chance to drink it Thank you

Enjoyed a meal with the kids here. Our order was nice and hot. Chips were piping hot too. Staff were busy clearing up and keeping it clean which we really appreciated!

Very good service and the hot chocolate is very nice. Didn't eat on this occasion as had nipped in to sit and have a chocolate after a night out in the lorry. Staff were happy to fill my flask with hot water and allowed me to sit with my chocolate and roll some ciggies.

Short visit early Saturday evening. Prompt, friendly service. Minor error with our order, but the drink was changed immediately without dispute. Clean, efficient and generally well run (as McDonald's should be).

We were staying over at the Holiday Inn, just across the road. Nipped in here for a quick dessert. Reallly enjoyed the smoothies and icecream Will definitely be back.

This is an average McDonalds restaurant which serves the same as all other McDonalds. In general the food quality is good, however, it is not unknown for them to overcook their burgers and serve them burnt at the edges which makes them hard and tasteless. They do seem to have a 'chip' issue as nearly every time I've eaten either in or take away the chips resemble the soles of shoes (i.e. leathery) and on the verge of being cold.

Went on a Sunday afternoon to pick up lunch through the drive through, when got to the last window to collect the food, we were informed it would be a few minutes and we were happy to wait. Whilst waiting it all kicked off with the staff in front of us as it appeared the food that was being handed out was incorrect and some of the customers were complaining and asking for food to hurry up and for a refund. The bit I found very inappropriate and rude was how the staff were discussing the other customers where we could hear and slating them! To top it all off, the staff started turning on each other and arguing and raising their voices as they blamed each other for the food going to wrong people, clearly need to learn some manners and tact and remember it is a drive through!

Just as a McDonalds should be, quick and efficient service no problems on our visit. Food was hot and fresh.

Me prometieron que mi hijo de 9 años que un McDonalds si marcó un objetivo, y así lo hizo! Fuimos por el paseo en coche por pero era muy ventoso y el coche delante no habían movido lo suficientemente adelantado así la chica en la ventana no podía escuchar mi pedido en el intercomunicador. Ella se disculpó y me pidió que me grita, que hacer feliz! Ambos nos reímos y llegamos al final un montón de niños (principalmente) aquí, siempre amable y sonriente, así que es la mitad de la batalla. Tuvimos la habitual hamburguesa Happy Meal y tuve la hamburguesa con comida especial tocino y todo el mundo estaba encantado! !

Nice and Clean. Drive Thru is open 24 Hours so great for when i work nights. Cant say much else its a Mcdonalds. Large dining area. Pleasant staff.

As Stretton is closed for refurbished, going to Branston , delays in drive through, orders never ready so always transferred to parking bays to then wait for food which is not correct x staff very pleasant

Good coffee and ask for no lettuce on the burgers and it will be cooked fresh. Plenty of parking if u want to stress your legs

Been here loads of times over the years and think over all this is the one that gets it wrong most often.... white coffee when ordering black, things missing from order, not having milkshakes, even once no fries. Usual mahem at the drive through and if you go inside everyone looks to be running round like headless chickens without any direction. But, by far the worst thing of all is them constantly asking "is that a large".... If I wanted large I would have ordered a large..... please stop asking me this question when I order! When you do get food though it is the normal McDonald's standard so nothing unexpected there.

Very very busy Saturday afternoon but didn't have to wait too long. Food hot staff very friendly. Nice experience.

Appalling! Mistake in the order - which was dealt with by a) that's not what you ordered (when clearly they had made the mistake) & b) you didn't pay for that (may that be because you got the order wrong?)This on top of an intolerable wait while what looked like off duty staff were talking to those on duty.....Apparently the real face 2 face customers don't matter!

usual offering by Mcdonalds here and you can either go through the drive through or park. at peak times, you may find parking is easier on the retail park adjacent to the restaurant.service can be slow in drive through and inside at peak times

They do a very good selection of meals, each showing the calories in the meal. I enjoy the value meal, various burgers, [my favourite is the chicken sandwich], chips and choice of drink, either hot or cold. On the side of the coffee cup is a collectors card, and sticker. when you have collected 6 stickers on your card, you have a free drink. The prices are very reasonable. Some times I just pop in for a latte, before going into Burton. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. You can either go through the drive through or sit and relax during your meal. Wi-Fi is free, so once you are connected, you can get Wi-Fi in other McDonalds. They do a good selection of children's meals.

There are three McDonalds in Burton. The service at this one is consistently rubbish. They are slow. They get the orders wrong, and there seems to be no adequately explained reason. I mean other McDs manage ok. The whole system is designed to be easy. I am only at this one this evening because I happen to be on this side of town and am avoiding a traffic jam. Wish I had sat in the car and gone to the one by the Pirelli stadium.

I think it was very nice and food was well presented . It is good that you get trays to carry your food instead of dropping it on the floor. But I would eat it of the floor because it is so nice well I would pick it up because it will be ok because its in packaging.

Very friendly place and clean. If you use the drive through, generally no problem but you could have a wait at peak times.Whilst the car park is small, you can move to the larger Centrum retail car park adjacent to Mcdonald's where there is ample space.No issues with food or drinks.Due to its location, it is very popular with parents and their children. If you like very quiet places, then this may not be for you!

cant go wrong here at maccys, loving the food so do the kids you cant go wrong with a maccys meal x Mcchicken sarnies are nice and the bbq pulled pork wraps also but watch out with drinks always ask for NO ICE as it waters your drink down and you get less coke and the dreaded gherkins ask about 3 times if the have done a plain burger cause 80% of the time you still get a gherkin!!

If you want your food warm or served in the same hour as you came in go elsewhere. Then just when you think here comes my order, another staff member nicks something off your tray and you wait longer.0 stars is more apt.

often very very busy, exceptionally noisy, litter everywhere with staff having difficulty keeping up,with the mess left by unruly parents and loud, ill-mannered kids. Inside seems cramped and outside parking is difficult. Take care with younger kids crossing the roads.

Fast food, never overly dirty, nice little kids interactive play area in the corner. Service is okay but some of the staff are that fat they can't bend down to pick things up when they drop them? Toffee sundaes are delicious, also love the iced caramel frappes, nicer than the starbucks/costa ones in my opinion. Gone downhill since Laura Barry left though.All maccies are the same really.

I have been here three times and that's enough now, never again! The first time the tables were filthy and there were flies on the floor under the table! The second time I queued for ten minutes to get served, then the final straw was today when I was waiting for a mc flurry and one of the staff who was serving behind the counter walked over holding a floor mop by its dirty head, placed the mop in the corner and started serving people with food! I really really wanted to say something but I was so frustrated with how someone working in a food environment would not wash their hands before serving food!! It is common sense ! I walked out never to go back there again. A manager really needs to step in and sort that place out...

branston mcdonalds is getting worse everytime I go there, I only go there because it's the nearest one to me. They park me up for a happy meal and the service is poor and food orders are always wrong. Managers are not doing their job properly.

Assim como qualquer restaurante do McDonalds, nada de mais nem de menos. Ao menos foi rápido e fomos bem atendidos.

If you're hungry, drive to John O Groats, you'll have eaten by the time this sorry bunch even contemplate taking your order. Women have had quicker full term pregnancies. If this is all these clowns are capable of, they should pack it in and go home.

Usual McDonalds restaurant with fast, friendly and professional staff. Good drive thru location on edge of Burton.

Place is kept lovely and clean, good hostess. Some of the staff serving can be a bit slow and some never listen. So it depends who is on to wether you have a long wait.

Attended this mcdonalds on way home from work. Was going to go through the drive through but the queue was too long. Parked up and walked in to be served. What a massive mistake that was. The queue in there was back to the door with 2 people serving!!!!! The service was slow and extremely poor. Needs some proper management to organise the staff better. I waited half an hour to be served. Diabolical!!!! Won't be returning.

Right so if you are going to use the drive through here don't unless you are the only person using it. More than 1 car and all hell breaks loose. I have actually waited 15 mins in the queue before.Apparently the great milkshakes are just one of the things that make a great Mcdonalds.......yes if you can actually get one after 4pm which I never seem to be able to do.Today topped it off when I walk in for a coffee to find one of the girls on duty hiding INSIDE a bin while her friends who didn't work there took photos of her, disgusting, I really hope she won't be serving food tonight because I don't think washing her hands will cut it really.
