The hamburgers were almost destroyed inside the box, everything was cold, the milkshakes didn't taste good, I asked for a vanilla one and it seemed like it had 50 tablespoons of sugar, terrible straight to the trash I only heard laughter inside and I thought these people don't have a manager anyway the worst thing

Not sure why this McDonald’s has such bad reviews, we called in for lunch today as a family of five. Ordered our food via the machine and customised most burgers, selected table service then went and sat down. Within 10 minutes our food arrived all together, hot and correct, had to wait an extra 5 minutes for our drinks but not a problem, again when they arrived all was correct. Friendly polite staff, nothing not to Like for us.

Absolute disaster of a place. Hands down and without doubt the worst McDonalds in the country. No staff, cold food, missing items if you order delivery, take away or eat in.

Ordered via the drive through, had to park and wait for my order, it took about 15 mins. Drove home about 10 mins, the food was cold, the chips were hard, if I lived closer would have taken the food back. A total waste of money as did not eat any of it, I will not be going back.

Went to drive through with our toddler, I said it was a mistake as I have never got my food straight away here, always had to park up, ordered nothing out of the ordinary either. Waited 15 minutes outside, saw a worker come out to give food to someone else, I asked could I come with you to check where our food was, she said no, I said we have been waiting ages, without even looking at me she shrugged her shoulders and said not my problem, went in, spoke to manager and still waited for food. I complained about the rude woman, he said he would talk to her, yeah right, then got my food, drove away, wrong drinks, food cold and dry, disgusting, never again

Visited on a Sunday morning at 10.15. The restaurant was quiet inside but there was a queue at the drive thru. We went inside and the machine I ordered breakfast at didn’t print a receipt, I let a member of staff know. I waited 15 minutes and so did the only other customer inside, we chased our orders to be told they were on their way. Other customers came in and got their orders quickly. We then chased again after 25 minutes from ordering and I asked to speak to the manager, after 10 minutes the manager finally came and he said staff shortages but that did not explain others getting similar orders before us. The manager asked what our order was and said he would get it himself, when it came it was wrong. At this point I gave up and requested a refund which was forthcoming. A total waste of our time.

Yet again no ice cream no McFlurry I have not yet managed to purchase a milkshake or McFlurry and now all I ordered was a fillet of fish and I was asked to pull up in a bay when I refused I received it immediately? Does anyone actually take notice of the dreadful reviews I will not be returning

Called in today for lunch, this was the first visit since refit. Venue is s clean and tidy but soulless, tables and chairs not as comfy and less room in between seats. Now on to the food and service, ordered via machine then found somewhere to sit, food arrived in good time by a friendly and polite waitress with no mistakes, chips were very hot and fresh as was my coffee and burger. Food and service nothing not to like but the venue is lacking in any sort of atmosphere.

Great service as always from Mohammed this evening. He is always so helpful and happy, A huge assett to your Maldon branch.

So so bad staff had hair down which I noticed waited 10 minutes for cold food drive away and had hair in my burger . Would never normally complain but was awful . I tried to call but just rang forever with no response . It run by children with no customer service or hygiene skills . We all know what to expect from a fast food place but this takes the absolute biscuit. Awful awful awful never ever again hole of a place

Absolutely NOT fast food! I arrived and placed my order no one else was in the queue! I was asked to park up 10 minutes later I was calling this place from hell from the car park, I was told my food was ready and they were bringing it out another 10 minutes passed, and people who arrived after me got their food and after shouting at a member of staff my food started to arrive, first the milk shake and icecream the burger and fries already cold and then i had to ask for my not so hot chocolate what a mess! I would not mind if this were launching rockets, I was given a cup holder for two items I had 3! and so the list goes on I will not be using this restaurant again you can refurb it as much as you like but you will never make a silk purse out of a pigs ear!

Went there last night to eat. Place was busy but COVID-19 advice was followed well. Went inside ordered our food on the screen, all staff and customers were wearing masks inside only people sitting at tables didn’t have masks on. We sat outside and our food was brought out to us. There was a young lady standing at the front door and I watched her turn people away that tried to come in without masks on which was good to see. Also noticed staff cleaning down everything after each customer very good and made you feel nice and safe. Staff place to eat.

Due to Coronavirus we went inside just to collect our food as you can’t eat inside. Full menu was on offer so no shortage of anything. Food was to the usual standard with no complaints from us.

Stopped off for McDonald's at 8.10 on Boxing Day. Joined a queue of 3 cars. A car then joined behind us. After waiting for 5-minutes the car behind us I gave up and reversed out so we did the same, this was a terrible service and it seemed like there was a Nobody taking orders let alone serving. Why boast of 24-hours service when we can't even get a simple breakfast meal and coffee at this time of the morning won't be using again.

My wife and I went to maldon to do some shopping and decided to go to Mc donalds for lunch.We were served quickly and was asked if we would like table service.No sooner had we sat down the meal was bought to us.We were then asked if we would like any sauces which again was bought to us straight away.As we finished we were approached by a lovely girl called Danielle who asked us about our experience and had a nice chat.We will visit again when in Maldon.

Seriously how difficult is it to get an order right?? Order a Big Mac no cheese which is clearly stated on the receipt! Get it home box says No Onions.....open it up and it’s covered in onions and melted cheese!! I think your staff need to get their eyes tested! What could have happened if that was somebody who had a severe allergic reaction to dairy???! This isn’t the first time this restaurant has gotten things wrong but you’d like to think they improve. Sadly tho it seems not.

The usual junk food (despite the company making efforts to make some healthier choices) but even worse is the crowd and the location : it`s behind a TESCO petrol station and the drive-in goes around the building so the place is surrounded by idling cars all the time and engulfed in their exhaust fumes. Outside seating is a definite health hazard but inside is only slightly better : crammed, uncomfortable, noisy and full of unruly kids most of the time.

Have eaten here several times before and have always been happy with the food. Unfortunately this time the cheeseburger has slipped half out if the bun and mist if the filling lay on the waxed paper wrapping. The fries were nowhere near the usual McD standard. They were lukewarm, pale in colour and instead of crispy, were floppy. Not nice at all. I'm not sure if it was the fries or the ketchup that tasted odd and left an unpleasant taste in the mouth.Rather put me off from revisiting, especially as I was unwell when I got home.

Found maldon restaurant very rude staff not welcoming and very awkward and slow when serving your meals you can see ice cream been done and it’s melting and they still hand it to you when you mention it’s melted there like it’s ok but clearly not very lazy staff leave you waiting to hear serve and do nothing but talk amongst themselves behind counter laughing not very perfessional in my book need good shake up but syringe management put in place

Excellent warm friendly and polite service and the tables were spotless. The fare was as you would expect from a well run Mc D's and the speed of the delivery, even though they were very busy, was brilliant.One of the best Mc D's we have been to.

Generally sticks out as the worse McDonalds drive through!! Too long queueing, still a wait for food when you reach the front, their waiting bays are busier than the car park!

Without fail, whenever I visit, service is slow, staff on pay window, or at counter inside, blatantly don't care about any form of customer service, latest McDOnalds vision of everything prepared fresh, really doesn't work, it destroys the myth of fast food, because its as slow as could be. When I've quizzed a range of duty managers, about why this particular branch is so slow, I've only ever received an excuse, usually backed up with "we are looking into it". Well clearly not very hard, as in about 4 months, its still dire. Honestly, I could drive to Boreham and back in close to the time it takes to escape the drive thru queue here

Visited today, used the drive thru asked for plain double cheese burger meal along with 2 happy meals. Was parked due to the plain order, waited a few minutes. Never leave this establishment without checking your order, although I was parked too wait for the plain meal I received a normal cheeseburger meal. You'd think this was a simple task but they seem to get the smallest things wrong. Dreadful

Stopped for lunch with 4 children and was pleased to see the restaurant had been refurbished as its now bright and has a modern ordering system. Whilst we had to wait a few minutes our order was correct and fresh which makes a change to some other McDonalds outlets.The restaurant was very busy but was clean and not too noisy.

Visited McDonald's Maldon for the first time following their refurbishment in July/August. Very disappointed, having used their new electronic ordering system and collection desk. Food took almost 10 minutes to be delivered to the table. My wife's wrap was cold (literally) and we had to request another which did arrive hot a couple of minutes later. Later we ordered 3 McFlurries. I saw two were on the area where the orders were prepared for almost five minutes. The member of staff then prepared one more and handed all three to me. My McFlurry had totally melted and I had to ask for a fresh one. Usually the restaurant was very clean and tidy but despite us having been in the restaurant for 50 minutes we did not see any members of staff cleaning tables or sweeping the floor. The floor was a mess with rubbish and dropped food under tables. No tables were cleaned and many appeared to have food crumbs and one was covered in discarded food wrappings. In summary a very disappointing visit, food not up to standards experienced on previous visits and restaurant untidy.

Just Visited Drive through .. How they Manage to always mess up orders I don't know .. We ordered 6 meals .. Tex Stack looked nothing like picture..sloppy soaked in too much sauce .. / Large Chips were literally all half full...One Meal was totally missed out .. I often use this restaurant if I am going to Heybridge, I can eat the burger as I walk. The food is always served very quickly, yet appears so fresh. The staff are always friendly, and the food is inexpensive.

Have eaten here many times without any problems its your normal chain McDonalds which is good as you no what your getting. The longer opening hours are great for when you want a fix of McDonalds.

Upon tonight's visit to the drive through McDonald's Maldon went to the drive through window to be served by a member of staff who had absolutely no enthusiasm, I asked for some sauces and even this seemed a chore!! .on arrival at home a few minutes away the chips freezing cold and undersized portions. This happens all the time and I have moaned about it but it doesn't seem to be trained out to staff. It's a shame as it is convenient when your in a hurry Also a rip off !!

Congratulations for getting this far down the Maldon Trip Advisor list! I'm here to tell you that this McDonald's is a McDonald's. It's sells burgers and chips. It's pretty good. It's near a Tesco so you can go after (or before! It's your choice!) your weekly shop. Petrol station opposite too.

The food is obviously bulk standard McDonalds stuff, and everyone know the quality is just average, but it is a good quick bite to eat when in a hurry.However, at this restaurant it's always disappointing that their milk shake machine is often broken.Additionally, you need to check you items very carefully when purchasing from the drive thru'; they tend to miss things out, pretty much every other visit as we've experienced.Other than that is an average takeaway, with kids that really don't care whether they get your order correct or not it seems.

Typical McD`s.Can be busy at times, food is average.Close to the large Tescos but a fair walk from the town.

this branch needs to be looked into - lts disgusting. I have never had a milkshake here yet as the machine is broken every time we have visited. the staff look like they have escaped from a zombie apocalypse and the whole place is grubby. I have never had a correct order and I daren't ask for anything different - the panic on their faces is scary! the last visit I order a simple burger nothing fancy got the meals sat down opened the box and there was the top of a roll a bit of lettuce and a burger - no bottom to the roll so I asked for a replacement 3 staff looked at it before getting someone with pips to decide what to do - only after asking me what the problem was???? then visited the toilet slipped on a banana skin (where did that come from) waded through the toilet roll that was strewn all over the floor, tried to remove the sauce I had all over my clothes off after daring to sit on one of the seats. I spoke to the cleaner on my way put and all I got was a smile - not even sure I registered tbh. so I looked for a manager and ended up rather loudly putting my points across to them. not been back since don't think I can handle the stress of it all

I know that MaccyDs get a bad press BUT you need the occasional fix & it ain't so bad ! Enjoy the Breakfast beigel in particular with a nice coffee = Cheap n cheerful

Very impressed that the staff were able to get them selves dressed in the morning. Well, I assume they dressed them selves. They are unable to take an order and get it right! Seemed like every customer in there had to return to the counter to retrieve the rest of their order. Another issue was fighting your way through the cloud of flies to get there! There was a lovely cleaner going around wiping tables down with the same dirty cloth and repeatedly banging the bin closest to us as if he was playing along to some tune in his head!

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst McDonald's in England,they consistently mess up your order ,the fries are usually soggy and the burgers need rebuilding,

I live in this place when I am at home, the only downside is that if the chap called Dan? I think it is, is coming on shift, because he is like a human dynamo and cleans like a tornado, it is not unusual for the staff to leave the place dirty for about an hour before he comes on shift (shame on them) but that said it is still an excellent McDonalds, and all staff are friendly, and helpful, sorry to the staff if my comments upset you, it is just a very correct observation, based on about thirty visits where it has been nearly shift change time.

Went in here just before the football was on very busy, staff fast and friendly no problem with the food or service, it is what it is a fast food restaurant.

Eaten here many times, friendly staff no drama if you want to change something, i.e not have something in your burger, cooked fresh.
