BBQ king in Maldon

Last night me and my dad ordered 2 lamb Shish kebabs (normally a decent meal from here) although after finishing the meal we both spent the rest of the night/morning being sick. Won’t be ordering from there again.

Good tasting food but not good quality. Had the kofte with rice and salad. The meat was chewy. Hummus was good. Overall an average meal. Was hoping for more authentic Turkish food.

The food tasted nice and the service was good, but wow the Adana was so chewy. Obviously made from really poor quality meat. Also, why are you not serving proper Turkish bread? Those pita breads have all but been relegated to cheap nasty kebab vans these days. Most Turkish places offer lavash bread as standard. I might return but not for kofte.

Being living in the town for 5 years, in the past used the other main kebab restaurant, not fair to mention names, but always being slightly disappointed with size of dishes of late, had been really good when we first landed in Burnham. BBQ King is spot on in good size portions and the quality is really up there. Thankyou guys really enjoyed our sneaky takeways from your restaurant

Quick delivery regardless of location, amazing food and always happy to adjust anything to the customers liking :D Decided on a Calzone instead of my usual Dirty Fries and it is awesome! Would definately recommend for Calzone, Pizza, Kebab, Dirty Fries and pretty much the entire menu!

Vastly improved versus a year ago. Doner cooked really well and browned on the outside. Adana also was very good. Fries were perfectly cooked. Overall.....they have got their mojo back

Fantastic kebabs. Large doner is very large and super tasty. Chicken kebab with halloumi served on rice with salad amazing.

Don’t listen to the website iv just finished work and apparently bbq king say it’s open untill midnight it’s currently 11.05pm and it’s shut

Absolutely great food. Recommended variety of kebabs or the party/family set. Again, great food and quick service as always.

Tried twice now. Seems to have gone downhill very quickly. They got the delivery order wrong and we got doner not adana/kofte kebab. The doner was also poor....not properly cooked and not very hot. Will try the other kebab place now. Shame as it used to be excellent!

I have used bbq king for over a year and at the beginning they were very good, but now they seem to be arrogant and rude I have had cold kebabs delivered late anmd and last time they swapped the meat for a new kebab roll and when we got home two were fresh and one was dry and greasy from the bain marie and unedible Tonight ny son collected two doner kebabs asking for pots of chill and garlic and not from the bain amrie He gave £20 and got no change so i am not sure what else we paid for and they came from bain marie awe kniw thatb as they were covered in fat and the sauce was already on the kebab. Back to the guy in maylland sea or burnham grill

Had a take away and donna meat was cr.p not like the regular meat could be me but i dont think so , will give them one more try and go from there

Lovely fresh salad, free coleslaw, had the chicken shish with rice and a pitta bread. Good value, lovely staff.

Nice pizza had flavour, there was a wait but it was busy, the cheesy crust is not so flavourful, burger were ok and the cheesy chips are ok too

Food to be honest is not that good.. horrible kebab meat horrible chips.. but this is my opinion.

Staff was extremely helpful and the House Special with Chilli based Pizza was second to nun.

Can't fault this food, we had quite a big order delivered tonight to Steeple, it was all hot when it arrived. Kebabs were really really nice, as was the pizza. Definitely deserving of 5 stars

A kofte beyond the expectations of what real BBQ,ed kofte should taste.. kofte is a mixture of lamb and beef with Eastern seasoning cooked over flames. Keebab house's sometimes forget there roots... Fresh salad, Mediterranean sauces and quisine.....too cook your food over flames, not forgetting to season your eastern influenced meat keebab...

By far the best kebab in Burnham. Just ordered online for delivery, arrived within 30 minutes and was piping hot. Always lovely food but tonights was so nice, it deserved a review. The pizzas are soooo nice too.

Dreadful swimming in grease Never again

After a long drive we decided to divulge into BBQ KING. There was very mixed reviews between the 4 of us. There was rice added to the kebabs which was not exactly what youd expect. The food was handled far too much than what It needed to be. Would like to have seen more people wear gloves then handling the food. The burger was nice, cooked well. Sadly wont be coming back to it.

Just picked up a pizza and donor wrap. Pizza quality, kebab wrap, the best I have tasted. Definitely going back, given a free tub of coleslaw and really friendly people.

Been eating here for a few moths now, donner meat is always top quality and can for extra onion, salad whatever. Jalhal is really friendly and tries to accommodate where he can. overall great service and quality food

Best kebabs in the area! Great smokey flavour, especially the chicken kebabs that are cooked on a grill resulting in amazing flavour. Great customer service and good pricing too! Pizzas and burgers also absolutely tasty and price of pizza is not to beat! Definitely recommend!

15 minutes for a portion of chips which I asked if they were ready before I ordered. Could have made it myself quicker.

I go here for Pizzas, Burgers, Kebabs etc and can not fault. The guys in there are really nice and friendly and service is always good. Highly recommend!

We would always choose BBQ King for their pizzas and chicken fillet burgers! We are regular customers on a froday night after a few drinks in town or just on a lazy evening!

Really lovely food. I've never had a kebab that tastes as good as any from here, and their pizza is incredible. Usually a bit of a wait, but only due to everything being cooked fresh, so well worth it. Staff are also always lovely and friendly.

I think the staff need to learn more about customer service and to try not to insult people obviously older than them. She needs to learn respect for her elders. My advice is to not take the piss out of them. I thought her behaviour was disgraceful.

Had a couple of takeaway kebabs since the shop opened and found them very tasty. Very nice to have the meat on a bed of rice and the salad and pitta bread separate so that you can serve it as you like. If the meat portions were larger I would have given a five.
