Subway in Maldon

The lady what prepare my food, she was not focused on what she was doing because she was asking me a lot of questions where they are logical, for example how many eggs should she put in a 12" loaf... Well 10 is not enough in my opinion.. 2 divide into halves 👍

Self service machines are god awful, the food tasted bland and not very friendly

Lack of communication and awkward atmosphere in the air. Used my sub points when not asked and couldn't help, or offer any assistance. Not happy.

One of the best subs in Norwich, very clean and hygienic food is fresh and tastes lovely

This is now my 3rd time I ordered from this subway as its local they have written this and given me 5 cookies instead of 1 more cadbury caramel muffin I ordered 2 of the muffins and I still got 1 as they got 1 left and make up for it they kindly given me 5 cookies so how nice they are the food is spot on for me. Definitely recommend go here as if you want Cadbury caramel muffins some of subway doesn't sell them only this store and I think Drayton Road one as well, Thanks 😊

Very good food but they have a lot of deliveries so you have to wait until they are ready to serve you

Some communication issues when mentioning the recent meal deal which was a bit awkward. This wasn’t the worst issue though. I must have been unlucky because when I got home I ate half the sandwich I noticed an odd smell and realised it was coming from my sandwich. It was mould and led to throwing up the protein bar and sandwich I’d just bought. “Eat Fresh” - well not here guys and girls!

The bread with veges and drink is to die for. Love it.

Great! Amazing staff, great / quality sandwiches. Very convenient location, plenty of parking as it is within a Petrol station. Fill up your car and enjoy an amazing Subway sandwich/something sweet/drink , you can't go wrong. Enjoy!

Sub was good servis need to be better

If I could give this place no stars I would of done,never have I been to somewhere,that has staff with absolutely no manner’s at all,this goes for the shop and for the subway section, I am in disbelief that they have any customer’s at all.Staff in the shop and subway were all very very rude, certainly wasn’t bothered about losing custom.

Every time I use this store, the service is an absolute disgrace (the Esso service station on Aylsham road). The orders are almost always wrong, the manager doesn’t know how to redeem subcard rewards and just tells you ‘the system won’t allow it’ and they’re always a 3 customer queue away from a melt down. Even when they get it wrong they find a way to shift the blame onto you. Have even seen a child in their kitchens once. Complaints have been forwarded onto Subway. Worst Subway in Norwich by far. Avoid.

Thank you vey much for taking my order at the last minute. I didn't really provide much notice but you were more than happy to accept the order, which really helped me out. The platters were amazing, and went down a treat with everyone, so thank you very much. Amazing service and will defiantly be using you again. Thanks again :)

Absolutely ridiculous, I’m sorry but every time I go into this subway, or my friend does we have terrible service, most orders are wrong.. watered down drinks to the point where we was literally drinking water I ordered a apple juice??? And I got handed tap water , wrong fillings.. . And some have been overpriced, Does subway allow there staff to laugh at there customers?? Only reason we go back is because it’s local, sort it out.

Ordered subway this evening form broadside , ordered and payed for extra cheese , no cheese whatsoever, was cold when it arrived bread was tough and hardly toasted really really disappointed as its not cheap ! Won't be getting here again!

Had a footlong Italian BMT, Quavers and a Cherry Pepsi Max whilst passing. Very good service.

Don’t waste your time! Good don’t arrive for 2 hours and when you phone they threaten to cancel order. Anyone have a number or email for a manger? This is unacceptable

We buy from here pretty regularly, at least once a week for breakfast or when our Vegan visitors and relatives come, which is weekly, even now as we're in the same support bubble, as your Vegan options make life easy. Normally the service is polite and efficient and a good experience from the young lady there. Today it was INCREDIBLE, but in the wrong way. - Upon entering we saw the two customers IN the store without masks, (granted they were paying) nothing to say they didn't have to wear them, so I challenged them politely. They said effectively 'mind your own business', but I persisted and said, "no-one likes wearing, them, but IT IS THE LAW"; they said to call the police. Very helpful; I'd hazard a guess that they've got more important things to do. As these two characters were paying YOUR delivery driver come into the store also WITHOUT a mask and walked in straight through the reception, the open food area and into the back. The two guys, quite rightly stated that the employees aren't so there........................Good point and difficult to argue. They leave. We take this up with the young male serving staff member, who says that as he's 'delivery' he doesn't have too!? That's rubbish as you'll know whilst he's in the store. We tell him he's wrong and what does he say? ................"Well, call the police then!".............Wow! I wonder where he got that from? That's not what we expected and I'd hazard a guess not what you're expecting your staff to say to customers either. We said we'd NOT phone the police, but we would report him on-line and to head office, hence this. He had no answer except to gesture to the delivery chap to get a mask on PDQ..........................Too late really, though I could see in the side room he was now doing this. He'd done his 'big and bolshey' bit already. Suffice to say we left without ordering our lunches and won't return till we hear from you, but will spend some time on social media letting others know. No-one likes to wear them, us included, BUT 'them's the rules' as they say so we ALL need to abide by them, especially business places like yours. I don't want your staff huffing and breathing all over the open foods without a mask and I'd reckon neither do you want this to be happening? Your thoughts?

Worst delivery service ever!! Over An hour and a half from the point of ordering, when phoning up to ask where it is they lied about how long it would be, threatened to cancel my order, the option online to request for money back was met with 'your order will be even later' straight after being verbally told mine was next to be delivered and would 'only be another 20 minutes', still received no money back or phone call back from a manager. Being pregnant and having ordered a childs meal also i do not ever expect a service like this one! Wouldnt recommend unless you're not going to be hungry for 2 hours. I expect the usual hour wait but the contact and excuses from staff was disgraceful. I. E. 'it has to be an hour wait otherwise the food would be cold soggy and yucky' (if you're ordering in store best be prepared for a lengthy wait if thats how long it takes to make 2 footlongs and a child's meal!) If you're going to up your prices better up your standards too. Was a regular customer, needless to say i dont plan to waste my time or money here again!

Slow and rude. I could have baked the bread in less time then it take ALL their staff to make a sandwich. You have to repeat yourself many times before the staff can take on board you are asking for something from their menu or what their menu is. Under their breath comments back at you and moody looks just make the place a no go, unless you want to spend your morning there, waiting for a single sandwich, repeating yourself at least 4 times!! If you could give no stars, thats what they deserve.

This is actually the best subway I've ever had! The young chap on at 9pm tonight really knows how to make a sub! Wish I'd seen his name as he was fab! He was also very polite and friendly. Highly recommended! Thank you 😊😊

Seriously unhappy. Title states it. Wanted a delivery for afternoon lunch. Open until 4:30pm, cut me off on creating our 3rd foot long out of 4. From a business perspective this franchise is extremely poor. Looks like it's a dominoes pizza time. At least they know how to look after customers wanting to spend "MONEY" with them. Food always piping hot and great service, never been cut off mid order. Guess you've lost another customer.

Great sandwiches and very good service

A first visit and it supplied tasty, filling food. Helpful and fast service too. Highly recommend. We sat in and there are a couple of small tables to eat at.

I’m sorry, but we’ve been ordering from here at least once a week, and spending a good 20-30 pound each time, it may not be much but it’s a frequent order. Today is the final time I will be ordering, I’ve paid for extra cheese and I haven’t even bloody got it in my sandwich. The staff are incredibly rude when you go in, don’t even say hello, and just give you dirty looks all the time. I wouldn’t order from here, you either don’t get everything you ask for or it’s cold, there’s no in between.

I volunteer in the British Heart foundation and it is next door too and the staff are always polite and friendly and me and my girlfriend Lisa always go there for lunch but we take it turns paying we went there today and had the steak and cheese wrap crisps Pepsi and a chocolate cookie and when I buy lunch for myself say for example on a Tuesday I always get the steak and cheese wrap a cookie crisps and a bottle of water and always take it back to eat in my shop in the kitchen aka dining area from Reece Dalsania

Myself and my granddaughter use our local subway in Colchester (by Asda) the staff are always friendly and helpful and polite food is always delicious I love their salads my granddaughter always has a subway melt. We always go after 4 as you can get a foot long for £4 all the other subways don’t do this deal which I think they should it would encourage more people to visit

If you like freshly prepared sandwiches, rolls & bagettes etc. then visit this place. The staff there are very friendly, they have a good variety of fillings readily available & all at a very reasonable price.

Very friendly staff and good atmosphere within the restaurant. Couldnt find the toilets. Try if you need quick meal

Been here a few times now , Love the choice of breads always have the Italian, Meat balls are good with spicy Mayo always have the 6in but for a extra £2 go large to a whopping 12in best to have them toasted

Ordered a steak and cheese with onion recieved a soggy effort with hardly any beef no cheese or onions and raw green peppers instead all for £4,I will never go back again what a joke!

Stopped here while out shopping with friends qas quick not que food was fresh made in front of you only few tables to sit down so if its busy can see their being no tables inside seats only when busy no room from pram to sit down and eat small floor layout but food is great

Generally I enjoy a Subway every now and then but based on this visit I will not return to this branch.

I love a Subway and this branch is no different except for the server behind the counter who did not smile once. Nether the less, the food was good and I topped up on my Subway points!

The food is to the normal good standard of Subway however the chairs upstairs are ripped and in a bad condition. It is a shame as you have a view through the window of the high street and the comings and goings. However the furniture is rubbish and not somewhere that I would frequent again

handy and quick. cHeap and better than McDonald's but not by much. seems to be preferred by students.

Ordered delivery from here & received no salad & they couldn't be toasted which was disappointing. Not sure if it was the website we were ordering from or the staff fulfilling the order but was still disappointed.

If you pop in before 11am.You can have a sausage or bacon subway,and drink of your choice for £2.00.We always have a cappuccino which is really nice.So if your not fussed about the ambience, pop in and try it.It beats anywhere else on price,and it's not noisy in there...

It all depends on the staff as to the service here, it is a subway and a chain, but the variety of the portions vary every time. I have never sat in, but I know there is plenty of places to sit if needed

I like eating here as the food is always nice and prepared in an excellent manner. However, the cleanliness of this restaurant is appauling for somewhere that involves food. Tables dirty, food and marks on the walls - this needs correcting!

This is a good subway. Great food at a reasonable price, lovely fresh bread especially if you want a take away.

Just ordered 3 subway meals ( 6 inch sub, cookies and drink) online for delivery. Turned up 1 hour 45 mins later. By then we cancelled the order. The excuse was its bank holiday. It doesn't take that long to make a sub. Won't be doing that again. Such a slow and poor service.

Myself and hubby sometimes eat in on a Sunday. The food is up to good Subway standards, however the seating areas need some attention. For us it is totally let down by the ripped seat covers and sticky tables. Come on team, a little bit of attention goes a long way

For a Subway sandwich bar Maldon is very clean with great friendly service. There is seating upstairs but you can takeaway and eat at the prom park.
