I would recommend driving the extra distance to another McDonalds, the staff tend to be surly, the food is often cold and in the past three months I've had to return for missing or wrong items, where you are then interrigated and treated as a potential criminal for daring to raise an issue. The staff seem to be entirley focused on fulfilling Justeat and Uber eats orders and making drive through customers feel like an annoyance, we no longer use this location even though it's two miles closer to home

9/10 missing items , cold food , and if you order through just eat or deliveroo be lucky if you get a refund and if you do you have to pay for delivery again because no one refunds it for your missing items to order them again. Company's need to get their heads together! Bad service. I'm done using them.

I order a burger last night and got it covered it hot chocolate even though I didn’t order hot chocolate so I took it back walked through the front doors Becsue they slid open so I assumed I could go inside for the staff to greet me pretty impolite and rude Becsue they didn’t lock the door

Often use this place for drive through or collection. Average for a McDonalds as often miss items or serve cold fries. On occasion they surprise you and get everything right and it is warm. But tbh the drive through is more often than not slow and painful to sit through

This place shut be shut down. Super, super slow and very poor service. Some of the staff and the owner have bad attitudes. The manager was a lovely guy, the only good thing there. The fries were very undercooked, the burger had almost no flavour. Took forever, 45 minutes, to get food. Then it was the wrong order...... then we had items missing! What a tragic state this place is! Do Not Eat Here. Save your sanity and your health.

I’m not sure why they give you the choice of dips with chicken nuggets because they never ever send them. I ordered ketchup with the happy meal too and guess what… didn’t get that either.

Excellent Staff, gorgeous food in a lovely environment.

Service has gone downhill since covid due to online food delivery services taking priority. No longer a fast food outlet,more of a below average takeaway. Customers left waiting at order points and drive-through,only to receive incorrect order or missing items, Daylight robbery really.

Freezing cold food.. Food was not in a heat proof bag.. No bbq sauce.. Absolutely wasted my money and near impossible to take it up by phone with uber eats or McDonald's.

Clean and tidy great experience

Repeatedly slow service here and inaccurate orders and items missing; they also never put napkins in the take out bags anymore. Fries taste terrible. Drivethru is usually quicker to get served even if there's a big que. Certainly no longer fast food. Waited almost 25 mins for 9 nuggets a cheeseburger and a coke. Regularly no ice for drinks and never any milkshake available ! Very poor McD's outlet indeed.

Drive thru 11:30 3/12. Kept waiting for 2 mins while kid on the till did absolutely nothing., then flipped on his microphone and took my order. Burger was cold with half the cheese hanging out the side. Suggests the duty manager stopped caring a long time ago.

This is the second time the wrong milkshake has been delivered

Food was inedible, chips were like cardboard and not salted. All drinks were wrong burgers cold. Delivery driver was 10/10 though, shame.

When my food arrived the burger wasn't even in the box, i had to scrape the cheese and everything else OFF the side.

Waited 20 minutes for our food to come. Some of it must have been sat there a while because by the time we got home a few minutes later the fries were cold and tasted stale, the rest of the food was only just warm. The blonde haired lady out on the floor was friendly and helpful.

My order was never delivered, I have requested a refund. The delivery was made to the wrong address in the wrong town, the driver called from that address and we told him he was in the wrong town, he never delivered to us no idea where my order is!

I think ilkeston should scrap the delivery as waited 2 hours 45 mins for our food for it to come and not even be our order this place is getting worse and worse SCRAP DELIVERIES....

Drove down and placed not that big an order 5 meals and on arriving home 2 full meals and drinks were missing and the food was stone cold. We live a short distance away so that is not the reason for cold food. I was unable to drive back as son and husband had booked to go to the cinema in Nottingham and needed the car. I tried calling them and they didn't answer or put the phone down. This is one reason we tend to drive further out to get a macdonalds. I had heard that ilkeston made a habit of this and usually check before leaving, but as my son and partner had to leave I was in a rush to get back so they could quickly have something before they left. Disgusting service. How hard is it to get customers orders right.

Had to reheat the food to make it edible. I'm disabled & ordered due to being in too much pain to good. Totally defeated the purpose in ordering.

Every time I order from McDonald’s something is incorrect or missing it’s so frustrating that I’m thinking of stop ordering from this company. It needs to be addressed. Take out is expensive and done as a treat it is not a treat when you don’t get what you have ordered. Some people have to wait a month before they get to order out again.

The food took one hour and forty minutes but it was snowing and apparently only one driver on and there were system issues. The delivery lady was very kind and positive even though she was battling through the snow to do deliveries.

I ordered a McFlurry and instead received the wrong one which I was allergic to so never trust them to get anything right if you value both your money and your life

Time and time again… always miss food off orders and don’t answer the phone. Delivery is a waste of time and no one to speak to when it goes wrong and it ALWAYS goes wrong. Pathetic. Don’t bother.

wrong food delivered to the door

I was originally told it would be delivered at 6.49pm and it didn’t arrive until after 7.10pm it took well over an hour to get out food. Although the food was ok it was a little cold

Although the food was technically on time I could see the drivers location and he decided to take a field trip on his way to delivering and no wonder my food arrived cold.

Drive thru was seamless and no fuss shown for reaching at 10:58 for b'fast (pre ordered on app) when they stop at 11. They do charge 10p additionally for ketchup so make sure you have some change.

Food was absolutely freezing I watched the driver on the map make about 4 stops before mine this shouldn’t be allowed if they can’t keep food warm waste of money .

Should not offer " drive through " as it's the 3rd time been asked to park up and wait....even though there was no where to park! Will not be going again!

Really happy with the service and food quality. Ive bought plenty from ilkeston mc Donald's and never once had an issue with the order or any mistakes or things missing ect. Weekends or peak times sometimes a touch cold but 10 seconds in a mircowave

Ordered breakfast roll…got bacon. Ordered 15 mini hash browns…got 5. 😂

food was a bit cool and despite requesting no pickles it had about 4 so I just took them off, wish the staff would read the order properly

fries were too salty and delivery times kept changing (but who in their right mind is ordering mcdonalds at nearly midnight? there is no need for so many changes), and courier didn't read note (would have knocked on the door if we didnt open it right before they knocked)

Ordered a chicken select meal got the fries and the dips but no chicken selects, also ordered my daughter a fish finger happy meal and the fish fingers came inedible they were rock hard

All of our order arrived however the majority of it was cold. The chicken nuggets, happy meal cheeseburger and quarter pounder all arrived cold. The chips were just warm.

McDonalds is what you expect. A straight forward fast food place. I have always found the experience to be good. I think I probably prefer breakfast to any other meal. The staff are always friendly and appear to work very hard. Thank you.

Came here after waiting an hour for Uber Eats delivery from a different McDonald's (the drivers kept taking the job, then cancelling it, until the other branch was closing at midnight). Knowing that Ilkeston's McDonald's is 24 hours, I put in an order on the McDonald's app before driving there. When I arrived, I went to the drive-through and sat waiting for somebody to ask for my order. After waiting for about five minutes, I decided to drive to a car parking space to go and check if they were open; because I hadn't seen any staff through any of the windows I could see. As I parked up, I finally saw staff members in the building, and oddly somebody finally walked into the drive-through payment window room; useful, since there were then no cars in the drive-through... There were several issues that occurred with the app, and getting my order registered, but that lays with the app service, not the branch staff. Once the order was successfully placed, however, it took a very long time to prep the meals. We were sat waiting, for about fifteen minutes. I realise that at night they will run a skeleton crew, and will be making most food directly to the orders received. Even so, I was beginning to wonder if they were baking the bread rolls with how long it took. The food was okay, although not particularly neatly made. The whole experience felt like the customers were being an inconvenience to what was supposed to be a quiet night for the staff. On the few occasions I have previously been to this branch, my experience was much better. So hopefully, next time I visit, the review will improve. On the plus side, you can almost always get a hot chocolate or a milkshake here. Which is more than a certain other (Ripley) McDonald's is able to achieve. (Last week, I was at the Ripley branch, and not only was there no hot chocolate or milkshake available, even their soda machine was off-line. The options were tea, coffee, or a bottle of Oasis.)

First visit, parking was a nightmare as the queue for the drive through blocked the car park. Restau8rant rather small and was very busy being a Saturday. Queued to use the order screen. Food did come fairly quick though.
