McDonald's in Swansea

Stop asking drivers at the drive-thru if they have used the app. Of course they haven't. They are driving and it's against the law to use your phone while in the driver's seat. You are encouraging illegal behaviour. I'm sure if a passenger has ordered on the app they will let you know. But as far as a driver goes, who in the right mind is going to pull over to pre-order to wait in the line at the drive-thru for the same amount of time as if you didn't pull over? come on!! Really?!?. Surely there's a brain cell in that place

When a restaurant takes a just eat order and then cancels it because its inconvenient 1 hour later. 10mi s after they said they would deliver it is in my opinion terrible terrible service.

Absolutely shocking for a billionaire company ..ordered large big Mac meal with large Fanta ...quite simple order ...driver turned up with just a Fanta with bag ripped open !! Sent him on his way ..he came back with the correct order but everything stone cold and fries well over cooked .. appalling service 👎🏻

Excellent when it's open when it's supposed to be I.e 24hrs. Gone there numerous times over the years at 2am and it's closed

I visited this place day before yesterday and I have to say I love the service here especially the you lady named Shivani. My wife and I was there and then she came to us and served us. she also gave a balloon to my child. The last line you said we are here to help you, stole my heart. Thanks everyone will come again.

Staff left my dips out the donkeys. Can’t even get an order right?

So, I am posting this review on behalf of my wife and her colleagues. Last week, they had a small get together along with children. More than the food, which is obviously pretty amazing since our childhood, an Asian girl named Shivani made the visit so comforting and warm. One of our children with special needs was acting cranky but she came out of her role to calm him down and gone extra mile for us . Kudos to such a team and especially that Girl. Thank You McDonald's, I'm loving it!

Every time they get my order wrong...always end up having to go back in. The food is always nice though. Just your average McDonald's.

Absolutely awful. Avoid if possible. They call themselves a fast food restaurant and I spent 15 minutes in the queue to order and then after getting drinks a further 10 minutes for food. They even got my order wrong and missed a burger! They even state that they are 24hrs but they close at 11pm, false advertising!!!!

Told me to park out front for my meal, it was only a cheeseburger and then I waited 15 mins only for them to have forgotten about me! Come inside and waited another ten mins

Relatively easy parking and gain access, busy at times and some of the staff could be a little more friendly. Food as it goes, is what it is. Ideal for a quick snack on the go

macdonalds, you need to sort your attitude and your big bum out if you think you can make my cousin walk all the way home after getting the order wrong. you need to not be so selfish. your mother (if you have one) would be very disappointed. in all respectful respects, you did NOT put the lid onto my fanta properly and it tipped down my trousers. Just went round the drive through where they got my order wrong. Then when I complained the girl in the serving window gets really moody about it. Absolutely pathetic. I'm not loving it

The staff/management are incompetent with the management being the worse; utterly rude, ignorant, disrespectful, refused to help and/or listen to my grievance, give me details for their complaints procedure, or his name. Orders are always wrong, you pay for sauces/food you don’t get. This is not the first, second or last time we’ve had issues with the staff here. The worst McDonald’s in Swansea is cwmdu by far! It needs shutting down! Rats and rat boxes in sight everywhere. Plagued by seagulls from overflown bins/rubbish. They prioritise Uber eats etc over waiting customers… they’ll keep you waiting for 15-20 minutes for a plain burger. A few notices need to be given due to a clear breach in their employment contracts, as stated above. The manger who answered my call needs to be dealt with urgently. Call was made today around 12:30pm. I will be following this up with HR to ensure matters are dealt with accordingly. Don’t even deserve one star

Meal throw together with usual McDonald’s level of care. Transaction was as soulless as you can imagine. Don’t expect a “Merry Christmas” from this place.

Always seem to waiting for food these days, and you can never eat in because it's not big enough. The parking is dangerous, especially with delivery drivers being everywhere. It's like a cattle market

Goty order wrong but the food was ok

The staff were very pleasant and friendly, service was quick and food was as good as always The only downside was the teenagers making so much noice and dragging there chairs all the time. They made hell of a mess, all in the floor and drinks throw. So disrespectful to the staff for them to clean it all up. No manners. We had a little girl with us and she was even annoyed with them and she's only 4!

This is the slowest McDonald’s I’ve been to for a long time. Having waiting at the drive thru for about 20 minutes or so & needing to get back to work by 2pm was stressful enough then finally arriving at the window to receive my food, they got the order wrong a couple of times so I was sat there for about 10 minutes until I finally had my food. However I did receive a refund but it’s safe to say that I won’t be returning here anytime soon.

Ridiculously bust after 7pm on a Saturday. Service was slow. Lots of items unavailable, water, fruit pack for kids. Won't go there again

Ordered £40 worth of food, for only the drinks to show up. Props to the delivery driver for going back to actual find our food, which was still missing items. McDonald’s are about as useful as Anne Frank's drum kit

Was given the wrong order initially. Went back in and member of staff was quite rude. When the food came the chips were cold. The young man who helped me carry my order to the car was very pleasant and helpful. However, i won't be going there again!

Well done Mr Ronald Michael Mounsey, you have finally made me delete the McDonald's app. Not only does your restaurant consistently deliver poor food, you have now changed the 1 sauce per fries ruling. It isn't bad enough that you provide half full, cold, hard fries, you now have to pay 10p per sauce to make them edible. Guess you can't see the state of your franchise from all the way in Carmarthen.

Absolutely awful. McDonalds in general across the board have become useless. Never have milkshakes or mcflurries. Order is always slow on drive thru, often wrong! I'd save your money and give them a miss. As it's a franchise McDonalds entity doesn't get involved in their brand at this level either so it's pointless making a complaint

Have been going here for years. Thus time had a drive through, quick and efficient. Food was as good as you'd expect. Good value for money.

Been here plenty of times before. On this occasion, we waited in the car and had it brought to us. The service was really quick and food was as expected. Only thing we were missing were dips and straws, the dips were our fault we should have said but the straws we could have done with. No complaints, it's a typical McDonald's, better than the new one in Fforestfach

I had a wrap of the day. There was one small piece of chicken and small piece of bacon(just fat!). I also had small fries which were cold. I do not recommend this place 😪

This is not the first time my order has been wrong / cold / things missing . I have given this McDonald’s multiple chances and think maybe it was a bad day but in more than 4 occasions going here something had been wrong. Went tonight in the drive through waited 10 mins for 4 simple burgers and they came cold! And the burgers had been left there that long the sauce had SOAKED into the bun. I get it’s cheap and you get what you pay for but this McDonald’s standards are disgustingly low ! And to be mocked at by one of the staff in the background is unacceptable!

APPALLING! Went through the drive through here on my way to work a night shift because I was really hungry and hadn't had time to make something to take with me. Asked to wait in bay 10 mins, food came. Opened the fillet o fish and the fish pattie was clearly overcooked, it looked burnt. Went in and showed the first member of staff, I waited 10 mins for another. Got to car, opened it and it was exactly the same. Went back in, waited 5 mins for someone to notice I was waiting to speak to someone which was too late for me to wait for another. So I just gave the girl the burger and said this is burnt too. Said I haven't got time to wait for another. So I paid 9. 38 for a a fries and a coffee that were now cold and mozzarella sticks with no dip. Awful.

i’m giving it a 1 star just because there is no 0. went to mcdonald’s today, in a happy mood. came back disgusted feeling sick. ordered cheeseburger meal with caramel frappe. first off, the chips were dry and tasted like sick. had to cover them in ketchup to get rid of the manky taste. second of all, ordered my burger with extra pickles just to find out they put ONE singular slice of the end of the pickle in there. now i’m not really a person who complains but now we move onto the drink. it was definitely not what i ordered and tasted even more like sick. of course i ate it all because i didn’t want to be ungrateful but the food and service here was diabolical. do not go here ever!!!

spent 13 minutes at the till waiting just to place my order as I dont like using self service as nobody at the store wanted to come up at the till. one member of staff said to me that they where not trained to use the tills and even went to ask a colleague to come to the tills which I find ridiculous as it seems they expect people to blindly use the machines so they wont have to display any customer service which is disgusting as the fast food industry is a part of the hospitality industry which is mainly targeted towards customer service

Partner picked up a McDonald's as we been busy all day moving, rare to have one. Took ages for food to arrive, so slow! Got to house less than 5 mins away. My burger was the wrong one got a basic cheeseburger in double cheeseburger box but ordered the larger big mac with cheese, it was over loaded with large pieces of onion. We had stone cold chips that went straight in the bin, we knew they wouldn't be hot by time he got home but they were like he got them out of the fridge. Our milkshakes weren't even half full and the banana one had remnance of strawberry on inside the cup like it hadn't been kept in a clean area. Disappointed and a Waste of money, won't be going there again!

Terrible service waited 15 mins in drive thru the told to wait around the corner only to be left there for another 15 mins had to go into place and beg for my food waiting another 10 mins to receive cold food no apology in fact quite arrogant about it “shocking “ I wasn’t the only one 3 other people had been there longer than me !!!

Much better than Llanelli!!! went through the drive through and actually got the food at the window ( unlike Llanelli) and the food was actually warm and correct ( unlike Llanelli) will call again ( unlike Llanelli)

Went to the new McDonald’s in fforesfach and greeted by hello, that was it! Then followed by a miserable person the other end of the mic, when greeted at the next window the person was miserable, seemed like they couldn’t be bothered to be there and no good customer service skills. There seemed to be a lot of young staff on who seemed to be shouting ‘oh yeh’ in the background in a funny voice which is so unprofessional and embarrassing. Finally we had to wait 15-20 mins at the last window when the drive through was empty. Finally when we got our food home as my partner was hungry after a tough shift he was disappointed to see his food came with no bun, hardly any lettuce, no bacon or sauce which was meant to be a burger ‘deluxe’ there was nothing deluxe about it! So disappointed and will no be returning!

Waited ages for food and it was cold. Wasn’t going to send it back as took too long already . There were loads of food waiting not under heat lamps. Very small inside, probably smallest macdonalds iv been in. And it’s meant to be convenience food if your in a rush , nothing fast about the service here

I went to the one in fforestfach to try it out as I live right next to it and was so happy and exited when I heard that a McDonald’s was opening so close to me. The food was okay but they made me park up and wait for a long time even tho it was empty and I had a very simple order. I was starving after waiting for so long and when my food finally arrived, to my dismay the chips were almost half empty and there was 5 chicken nuggets instead of 6 . On top of this the food was bland and rather cold.

I've ordered online on the 14th. Half of my order arrived cold, half barely warm and the drink has spilled. And the bun on the mcspicy was burnt

Just made an order from the drive through, the girl who’s on duty and took my order sounded very miserable and not friendly at all. I ordered a chicken select meal, didn’t even ask if I wanted any dippings, thought they should be well trained wirking at a worldwide branded restaurant?

Food absolutely standard. We always have something missing whether it be a couple of straws to food. This occasion was FRIES standard with every meal so how staff can mess this up is an embarrassment! I ordered thru the app so when you do this, if any issue arises you have to ring up the delivery people so you can’t get you’re food cos they won’t send the driver beck out! So you have a refund or go and get it which defeats the need of home delivery in the first place! Very poor

Staff are lovely however this is the second time now that I have found Egg Shell in my Mc Muffin. Normally I wouldn't mind, but they have been quite large pieces, so much that they're sharp and get caught in your mouth and throat ( I wish I was joking). I'm not sure why this keeps happening but feel that it needs to be looked into, especially if a younger kid gets hold of one.

Advertised as 24hrs… it’s not, arrived and drive through is coned off, there’s clearly staff inside pretending not to see me. 2 out of 10. Wouldn’t recommend.

First experience at Fforestfach McDonald's was terrible. Our order took 20 minutes to get to us, for it to be completely wrong anyway, gave it back to them, they then came back with another completely wrong order which had been passed around other cars aswell as it was infront of us. Finally when they got the right order, everything was slapped together, nuggets were soggy, drinks were flat, fries were definitely overdone and brown, burgers alos , verything was cold. Not impressed at all.

The reason I gave this viol place a 1 is because there is no 0 also everything that happened… so firstly I went into the shop not greeted or talked to by any of the workers.. it was so weird so then I went up to the counter to order my FRESH burger in a bun but little did I know when I got home I opened it up and I was mortified by what I saw disgusting grenchy black burgur that was sitting on my table it wasn’t only for the look when I looked inside and I saw some sloppy shiteee I ate it and now I have explosive conteria!!!!

Every time I go to McDonald's they're food standards, politeness of staff, cleanliness in general is AWFUL 😖 And the sqd thing is it comes ALL THE WAY DOWN FROM THE "MANAGER" OF THE AFORE MENTIONED ESTABLISHMENT. I just really wish I had the video on my camera rolling just to show you all the kind of service you can get from McDonald's when they think no-one can hear. I speak for three McDonald's in particular......but as they say, bad service once maybe a mistake (they happen) twice, and then a third time (ALL IN DIFFERENT MCDONALDS). At McDonald’s at 1:25 it’s supposed to be 24 hours McDonald’s and the man won’t let me in. He said on the website on McDonald’s website is 24 hours restaurant dining and drive I am not very happy. You are being given a one star. I hope you shut down.

Bags smell mouldy like actual mould and our food isn't just luke warm its freezing...straight in the bin!!!! Can the manage contact me please I can keep the bags for you to Inspect if need be...absolutely disgusting

I'm so so angry! Cancel my food after I wait an hour for it!! Now it's too late to order from you or breakfast from anyone else! You don't answer phone after I've repeatedly called! All I want is my food! I'm hungry and you've bene useless with communication and now I can't order breakfast anywhere because you made me wait before cancelling it with no reason

It was very intimidating trying to eat food inside the restaurant as most of the tables were being taken up by gangs of teenagers. Who were swearing and generally being a nuisance. Also seeing these same teenagers being given free items by there friends who were working behind the counter was not fair to the paying customers.

As McDonald's go, this is one of the better one's. Food served hot, really good staff and very helpful.

I called in for a coffee with my mother today. The supervisor on duty was absolutely brilliant. She put my order through as I was having a problem. Brought out our coffees, a bit later she brought us tester samples of the new ice cream which was beautiful. She was lovely, spent time with us chatting and couldn't do enough. It made our afternoon, thank you Dawn she gave us 150%, what a lovely lady. A real credit to your company 👍

Nice enough, but way too many union flags. I understand why, it's coronation week, but since Wales isn't represented on that flag, and this is in Wales, some Welsh flags should also have been on display

My experience at the Drive thru on Carmarthen road Swansea today was nothing short of disappointing. As I got to the second window to collect our food, there was a coke missing. I asked the server for the missing coke only to be told it...

Often this branch messes up with the order. When you order fries very often they give you 2/3. I complained once they were trying to be funny and making me feel like as I am asking for overfill. Today I placed an drive through order; came home and checked portion of chilli cheese bites were missing. I won’t be going back and I should have check the food back before driving off because of the past experiences. Very bad experience.

First of all, i don’t understand why there’s now a rule that u can’t eat ur food inside unless ur 18 or over, as it’s meant to be a fast food place for families to have some quick food. Secondly, if this rule is going...

Ordered on McDonald's app. Half order missing. Driver rude and said not his issue and to call store. Call the store to be told not their problem speak to Uber... They use Uber I ordered through the store. Finally Uber are giving a refund but their receipt and system only shows half the order so the issue is with McDonald's. So no actual food just a refund that we have to wait for! Need to learn to read orders correctly. Also having issues with this store it's a joke!

I have breakfast at this restaurant mostly every morning and I order porridge as part of my meal. Unfortunately on the last two occasions this was unavailable. One more try tomorrow and if they are still not serving the porridge I will be taking my custom else where. Very disappointing.
