McDonald's in Bolton

Not the best, the server didn’t even manage to smile when doing tabel service which let us down, especially when taking the kids for their dinner, the bun was burned I asked for extra onion and got a tiny bit and my partaner didn’t get any. Really unhappy experience

Food, as any other McDs, poor standard service, manager walking out of toilets wiping her nose with her hands then serving food without 🧤, served by a very miserable member , no smile no words ? , atmosphere 😂 obviously lacking it.

Absolutely bad McDonalds, missing orders, wrong orders, or just being forgot about, whilst your waiting

Always very good there is,a special offer £5 cheeseburger +dink+ chips+chicken nuggets really good quality and value

I’m not expecting customer service of the year - but when you’re looked at like a piece of dirt because you’re still being served by them and ask for sauce - but they’re already moving onto the next customer who is asking a question. Simple manners.

Took a while for food. We wanted a toy for our toddler as he can't play with activity books yet, but we got a book. And got no sauce or a straw. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

The only down side was told its not a franchise, so where the one i go and it is drive thru and not ordered of the app there hash browns are two for £1.98. I today got one for £1.50 . Felt kind of conned really so won't be going back to this one in Bolton on Manchester Road .

Every single time there is something missing from orders. Is it really that hard to get it right

Ordered from deliveroo and they missed over half the order, fries were burned but also cold, bread tasted stale, everything else was dry. I dont understand how they remembered to not put sauce on the burger, but somehow forgot 50% of the meal.

Very disappointed with the food. The egg was well overcooked. The pancakes were mostly inedible with hard and dried edges. So bad, I couldn't even eat with the knife and fork provided. Everything was barely lukewarm. Not a happy breakfast experience and I will not try this branch again. This was 7.00am so breakfast items should be fresh, hot and not overcooked. I would guess they cooked it several hours earlier. Come on, you can do better than this! Update 11 Feb 2025 App not working and the staff didn't know why but has been an issue for other customers. Clearly, McDonald's don't invest in proper technology and don't seem to care either. Update 20 Feb 25 App not working again. Permanent boycott.

The pits.! I've been to some bad mcdonalds in the past but this one tops the lot. Chips re dipped and my burger looked as though it had been sat on with ketchup all over the place. Returned for an immediate refund. Should of returned the kids meals too. Thinking of making a complaint to the head office. Disgusting food!

Leon on the night shift on 11th Feb, was such a super star, he was so friendly and serviced my food with a smile, he went above and beyond, i would like the management to reward Leon with something as it is rare to receive such excellent customer service, from the girl who told you she was on a 24 hour shift and came back for the Mcflurry.

Food was terrible the burgers have shrunk no customer service forced to order on a machine I won't be going again

so basically every order on the mcdonalds app gets messed up by uber eats or mismanaged and my food is delivered Luke warm or missing altogether- i always say now that its best to go drive thru or face to face - any other way and you are risking someone else getting your order or as a family missing food and waiting for 2hrs.. my husband has had to visit 3 times now to retrieve the rest of the order. I mean they compensate when he picks up by giving more food but my husband was already upset with me and hungry and now this treat for my daughter turned into a nightmare.

Wrong order originally given. Then after getting our order found items missing. Food was overcooked and not acceptable after paying so much for the order. Try to get it right as this is not the first time this has happened. Too expensive for what it is

3rd time we've had an order delivered and things missing or somebody else's full order!!! Rang sat 14th December was told come down we'll replace the meal,got there the manager chubby face full beard early 40s ( as they wouldn't give me his name) totally refused said we had to go through the app,so no tea then??!! Was quite rude,how would he feel paying for something you don't receive? Asked for no pickle my husband said it tasted like they had just taken it off so didnt eat his burgers. Foods always cold that's if you get it!!! Had to drive elsewhere to get food,wasted time and fuel money!!! Don't understand how a screen with orders on isn't being followed? Re-training is needed!!

As a vegetarian McDoanlds don’t offer much by way of a great menu, I was here earlier on and ordered two vegi wraps as an option to Caesar wrap which contains meat and was on offer as wrap of the day. I was told by the manager that the veg option is only available two days a week and it was not available today, he was prepared to lose business instead of honouring a veg wrap rather than lose customers - if you are a vegi be prepared to be discriminated as this option is not at all, in the meant time they offer meat eaters 5 times a week a diff wrap options - disgusting customer serves

First time I've ordered for delivery won't do it again, it is freezing cold and can't eat it. It's a joke, won't be using them again.

Been twice over last 7 days, hot chocolate machine broke both times, as a decaf drinker can only have hot chocolate and too cold for soft drinks, chips cold first visit both chips and burger cold second visit, I asked girl behind counter why it was cold instore and she replied heating broke, must be worst macys store Ive ever been in and I worked all over the country. I wont be going in again and wont recommend this store.

A great little Maccys for picking up a quick brekkie or a coffee.

First time coming to this location. Service was good. Didn't have to wait too long. I pre ordered from my phone before going in to collect. It was a collection order. It was busy inside but food kept going out an orderly fashion. I would recommend and definitely return here again.

We have ordered from this restaurant on multiple occasions recently (approximately 4) and all have come with sub standard or missing items. All were ordered through THEIR app, but when asking for a refund for the meal we are brushed off to Ubereats. Apparently they have a policy in place, arranged with McDonald's to only refund part of the value! How is this good customer service, being passed from pillar to post to try and get what we ordered. If an item is missing, the contract has not been fulfilled, so why should they be able to keep the money and only refund part of it. I am beyond furious, and think a global brand like McDonald's should do better!!

Don't have someone to bring your food out and being disabled it's a bit of a waste of time using the app to get grill parking always tells you to go to front counter to order app is pointless here

Not a regular visitor but wanted breakfast. Called into Manchester Rd Bolton, the breakfast was pipping hot.

Let's be honest. Disgusting all round. Worst McDs I've visited in the UK by a COUNTRY MILE! Food and hygiene is like I'm in Africa. Horrible size, taste, presentation and the big one, hygiene. Tastes NOTHING like normal McDs for the last 50yrs.

Good place quick service and helpful staff the lady walking around cleaning tables and bringing orders to you is second to none and sooooo helpfull credit to the restaurant so lovely

I ordered a burger meal with no pickle. When I bit into my burger there was pickle on it I went into the premises and explained what had happened to a very nice young girl I told her that I ordered no pickle but was still put on ! What if I was allergic to pickle , I think this would be a very different matter to the responce I got …. oh im sorry !!

I don't know what to say first we got wrong order even it was so quiet .I asked them for my second order the cheese was cold so please make it right this time . But it was same thing. And i get food always from mac and i never had bad experiences like this time

My quarter pound cheese burger was cold and dry and my chips must of been the off cut not one of them was bigger than 1 inch and some of them was very dark brown and rubbery

Food gone either too wet or too dry and over salted and peppered... 2 home deliveries via their app have had missing items, nothing which could be done, apparently! It's never the little free burger from points that missing though! This place is most definitely needs to improve both in the kitchen and quality check at the end. Better training on quantities of oil and seasoning would improve taste to how it should be. Staff- better than the china gardens, I've seen the manager there shout at her staff.. but I'm seeing communication and training could improve.

Ordered the food from their own app and the food came cold and nearly melted ice cream. Found out that the 4 big mac meals only had one burger and 3 missing burgers, spoke to the manager and was rude and unhelpful and she pointed to customer service. Rang up and again, useless customer service, refund was not satifiying after cold food and 3 missing burgers.

Placed an order through the app and it was delivered from here and I was missing most of the order. I was given a £16 refund for the missing items but nothing for the rest of the wasted cold food .I went up to the restaurant for the missing items as they didn’t answer the phone only to be told I had to go on the app they couldn’t help me there but the app wasn't helpful either .I won’t be ordering from the app again or using this McDonald’s again shocking unhelpful staff

Just been through drive thru, ordered, went to first window, nobody at window, sat waiting, no price on screen, drove to next window, told young girl nobody at first window so she argued with me saying she was sat there, I am not a liar . I suggest you check your cctv, terrible customer service. Drove off without order.

The worst experience at any McDonald's. Food with no taste, fries cold and dry and service, beside the lady customer leader no one looks is carrying about any good service. They forgot about the portion of fries and the raspberry pie. Never going back in there. Better starving.

Food could be better; especially when your offering promos on the app and then you go to get it and they say they haven’t got it. Burgers are decent not as greasy as other McDonald’s but presentation should be better how hard is it to put bread and 2 burgers straight?

Went in the order breakfast. The order points there were really slow and took ages to order my breakfast. Why waiting for my food. There were chips on the food from the night shift clearly not cleaned to a high stand what you Expect from McDonald's. Breakfast was very disappointing didn't fill me up. You can get better and cheaper from your local cafe etc.

Let’s face it, no McDonalds are any good, but Manchester Road Bolton can’t even get the basics right! I had to complain today about some soggy excuse for a breakfast wrap and the so called manager conceded that she wouldn’t eat it,, then I was accused of being condescending and had a fiver threw at me!! WOW!!!

I have just had the most awful and upsetting experience with a manager. I am disgusted and absolutely appalled how this person behaved! Slamming a window in a customers face is just down right rude! As she was in the wrong and having waited 10 minutes to be brought the wrong food I would have thought a little empathy wouldn’t be too much to ask! What a rude and entitled person to be working as a customer facing manager!

Everytime I buy a large drink, I only get a medium. The cup is never full. Today I was told that some one had to come out to sort the machine. It's been like this for months! It's a rip off that I'm paying for a large and only getting a medium. Not value for money at all!

Ordered thru drive thru, wrong drinks given, not a problem and easily sorted, then asked to pull over and wait for order, waited 10 mins then wrong order brought out, waited some more, correct order brought out, cold food, no sauces, no sorry for your wait, just bad customer service and bad food.
