The team member Pranjala was sooo kind and helpful .

Quick service at the drivethrough and generally less busy than the nearby McDonalds on Cowdray Avenue, but check your order before leaving the window - when ordering food for 4-5 people, they manage to forget something more often than not.

Popped in for a quick cheeseburger,cost has gone up 30% in 18 months and took ages to make, won't bother again

After ages we had a McDonald’s after being put off from other branches. The table service was great, efficient and quick. The food was hot and the chips were freshly made!

Staff are nice and friendly. Quick service.

I visited this McDonald's this morning. I had an order for a coffee ordered through app for my friend and ordered a bacon and egg mcmuffin meal ordered on site for myself. I could see there were about 5 people ahead of me already waiting, a bit of time goes by and I can see lots of orders being prepped but very little being called out for in the restaurant, I could see order after order being sorted for the drive through and the in branch orders seemed to barely be moving, after about 15 minutes people started to chase up where their order is, I waited a bit longer and my patience was wearing thin as I was on a work break, I asked politely where my orders were, a young girl went to find out, she came back with my order but asked what the order for the app was for as this has gone missing, I then tell her it was for a coffee to which she picks up this cup thats been sat there for as long as I had been waiting (25 minutes at this point) and said its this one and went to hand it to me. I refused to take it and said that's been sat there for 25 minutes I'd like a fresh one, which she did sort. I felt whilst I was waiting there was no urgency from 90% of the staff members but also no communication. They are quite happy to just leave you standing there for 25 minutes, if I had not have asked where my food was I feel that the drive through customers would have remained a priority and I dread to think how much longer I would have waited. I work near by and I most certainly will not use this McDonald's again as this isn't the first time I've had a problem. 25+ minutes is a joke for a fast food restaurant!!!!!

Turner Rise McDonald's had friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, but the food had problems. Fries took too long and were cold. Burgers were good though and made up for the lack in quality of the fries.

Brilliant hot chocolate and coffee on the go. Brilliant drive through. Near Asda and B&M. So it's a good place to get food if you're shopping. Definitely going again

Always get my food right and very friendly staff! Much better than surrounding McDonald’s. A special shout out to the guy on the last window today at 12:40; extremely helpful, very smiley and friendly, seems like a right asset to this sites customer service!

How hard is it to look at a list of items and then put the items on that list into a bag, always something wrong or missing, the kitchen is more like a youth club.

A lovely place to go, with a very good atmosphere and staff.

This McDonald's is the closest to my house and I'm often here. If I go Through the drive through more or Less of my experiences have been bad, Forgotten food. No correct sauces in the bag etc, or even the food is cold. However when I have been in the restaurant I always sit upstairs and every single time we have been met by Chris ( the friendly chap with glasses) he is always so kind and is always more than happy to help anyone. He interacts so lovely with everyone and is so good at his job. People like him really save companies like this because although I regularly am left dissopointed by the drive through service whenever we're in McDonald's he puts a smile on mine and my sons face. Chris you deserve a pay rise.. we need more staff like you in hospitality

Drive Thru- Asked to pull up into a bay and food got to us after 15 mins of wait. I choose drive thru because it's quicker, there were absolutely no customers yet they managed to take 15 minutes for a single meal.

Throwed chips in bag, payed 40pextra for sauce and no sauce

A good restaurant split over 2 floors. Has a lift for disabled. Wasn't busy when we went, but a reasonable amount of tables. My only criticism is that a lot of seating is bolted to the floor, making it awkward for a wheelchair user to sit at many of the tables. Table service worked well with very helpful staff

Make sure you check your food I went through the drive through got home to find a triple burger missing

Tania is a star, genuinely good human being doing a good job in a busy restaurant. Always going the extra mile to help everyone and making sure they're happy. Food is a bit sub par for mcDs, my toffee Latte had no toffee in. You need to do dairy free options too pls. But, the tables are always clean and tania is here so this is now our fave! Plenty of tables and nice play area too ❤️

Usual food, not great, overcrowded, staff all kids and don't know what they are doing

Staff here are friendly and always let you know how long it'll be until your apple pie is ready 😀 Literally, the only down side is most of the tablets don't work. Other than that, all is fine and I'll be returning

I have made an order in Colchester Turner Rise, Retial Park branch for the first time visit the was the shift manager which we have informed him we ordered from self service machine and we told him we don’t know the order number because it didn’t print the receipt we made an order at 14:45 ( it shown on my bank record if you need to proof as when we asked for receipt your were rude in front line staff with male with blonde hair not wearing a hat hair up despite handling the food did not give it to us and another customer asked us how long we have been waiting for our food to which I referred to my Apple Pay records and showed that we have waited for 35 minutes for our order so that what we said that same customer then came to the cashier and asked the your rude shift manager how long is the wait as 35 minutes when they were not even busy to their unnecessary rude attitude response they have been here less then 15 minutes and they don’t know the concept of time baring in mind we have not made any complaints even when we could have and we’re waiting there patiently but was suddenly attacked verbally by your front line who clearly doesn’t understand the concept of customer service I didn’t get the rest names and I don’t want to entertain such rude behaviour and refrained from a fuss as we found the your front line staff was not worth the time as he seems clearly bored from having a lack of things to do however I do hope that you do take action and hopefully train him better or hire someone else more deserving because that is more or less likely the reason why the shop had a bad reputation from other customers we have met who experienced the same thing. Working at customer service myself this is truly not acceptable. On top of that when we have finally received our order we found that he has not prepared it the way we ordered and paid for , no sauce no salt with fries and have piad extra for BQ sauce and our order was incomplete for ,35 minutes wait is this really appropriate to be served incomplete food , that we had paid for????????????

The McDonald's Turner Rise Retail Park (nearAsda) is absolutely brilliant, nice friendly staff and good hot food.

Nice new restaurant food was fine but they did forget my fruit bags for the kids, male manager on shift working the pick up line was rude and lucky I did not punch him, if my kids wernt with me may off bene different story there self service machine was out of paper so no receipt and he was not helpful I had to tell him to look up my order on his till then i herd him say to a colleague that I was lying and had most probably had eaten them self and wanted more for free. The gut has no customer service skills and definitely needs a slap / retraining at minimum. Very rude and bad attitude the place was not even busy.

The ice cream machine was not working. It is never working. Please put up a sign before the drive thru. This is very disappointing.

We had ice cream. The order machine wasn't printing the order receipt but there were hardly 2-3 people at this time so it was fairly very quiet, so we knew our order number and it wasn't of any issue.

Not a frequent visitor to McDonald's. Visited Colchester last week and went in to McDonald's for a quick bite. The food is average across all restaurants. What pleasantly surprised us was the level of service. the staff were very friendly and paid great attention to customers.

Takes ages for food and came cold

got there at 5:45 expecting it to open at 6 am but waited 45 minutes outside for the door to open whilst employees saw us outside

Food took 20 mins and was cold. Sent it back and after 15 minutes I spoke to the manager as a replacement meal had not turned up. Manger refunded me and placed the order again. 5 minutes after receiving the order, the 2nd order was brought to our table (it was also cold). Very disorganised and disappointing

They missed off a burger and large fries When got home and got the chips out only half full So paid for two large fries got this 😩

Fast service clean toilets as well as ubs charging in store

It was clean and tidy, someone on duty all the time cleaning. As McDonald's goes it was one of the decent ones, hot food and tasty

Good fries, gave me a standard Big Mac when I asked for a chicken one. Rather disappointed.

Slow service, food was ready and waited 10mins for apple pies they forgot but not allowed rest of food until order was completed.

Never had a bad meal, good and quick usually ordering table service when we get there via the machines. Place is not that busy which is nice.

I am happy that Mcdonald's is nearer to where I live. There is a play place for your kids to go enjoy+ There's even air charging but I think it works only for new devices because when I put my galaxy a12 on it, it didn't charge so yea. I love the new design of the McDonald's inside and you can even choose to sit outside if you want. The staff are super helpful if you need anything so I recommend this new Mcdonald's. 10/10 HAPPY CUSTOMER

Delightful staff in this Mcdonalds, Food is always hot. Served by Craig very polite and welcoming guy to have serving at the till. Asked him what I should try rather than my normal order, Gave me a great recommendation on the new menu, 10/10 didn’t rush me to order. Will be visiting again

Had a bad experience recently with Craig the white shirt he seemed to think that i was try to have mcdonalds over for a £1.20 Apple pie i hadn't received on a previous order a couple of weeks earlier......he's attitude and customer skills need addressing immediately he's a very poor employee to be representing mcdonalds upfront on the tills......i think he'd be better served in the kitchen flipping the burgers.......however thankfully for this branch of Macie Ds.... Jo, the manager saved the day with her professionalism and great attitude A+ Jo F- Craig

Drive through order, got home to find two lots of large fries half full. Very disappointed.

Submitted a change to the hours from 2300 to 2200...drive thru had cones blocking and door didn't open. No sign on the door.

Rude staff, overheard her say on the headset “yes they are still going” - clearly getting ready to close, but maybe think before you speak. Rude manager - telling me how I should order a ‘Quarter pounder, with no cheese’ because apparently asking for a plain quarter pounder with no cheese isn’t clear enough. After the incident with the burger needing to be replaced, told we needed to wait for another one as they had turnt off the grills. All in all, poor experience.

Took 10 mins to get out order, cold, paid for extra pickles in a double cheeseburger & they didn't put any in & actually took ALL the pickles out. 2 people was waiting for their meal before we even ordered & was still waiting when we got ours. The place was empty. Staff wandering around doing nothing, a lady asked for her table to be cleaned & was told "I'm not the cleaner" so stood waiting. Then cleaner finally arrived & the lady she asked in the first place had started doing it, why she didn't do it on the first place I don't know. For a newly opened macds, it was pretty lame.

Ordered online. Meals were missing. You cannot contact them directly if you order online. When children are involved, it creates a serious problem. This was supposed to be a special treat. Collect Number 43343. I have the collection number as well. Mcdonald's in Colchester is absolute garbage! I thought the new one would be better. But no! They are not good. They need better management.

The main seating area at 7:00 pm was closed and had to use the ground floor seating area. It literally looked like an A&E waiting area. Few seats and lot of people wishing to sit and eat.

Food was quick and hot however no sauce upstairs it was empty and no staff to ask

This is a very new establishment so clean and tidy. Quiet when we went in but atmosphere spoilt by constant and very loud beeping of machinery. Otherwise good.

Lovely new McDonald’s. Ordered lunch today and was brought to the table very quickly! A lovely young member of staff came over and gave our daughter a hat and flag which she was over the moon with!

Everytime we go in the drive through we are made to wait for our food. The food is never ready to just take and go. We have had to wait 25 mins before just for a small order. They always forget something

ordered a breakfast through the app and then go to pick up at store. the staff told us they don’t do the breakfast today. but why its available on app? the staff ask me to complain to the head office without any sense of apology. poor service

Honestly one of the worst McDonald’s like how many times does it take to get a order right !

Appalling so they argued with myself after wait bay 1 for 25 minutes I had go into store 4 times before they got order correct and no apologies. So said waiting for chicken nuggets for happy meal when received it just two chips no nuggets no toy. Gentlemen bought food out was rude tried argue with my wife.

Honestly don't know why I bother with McDonald's ever since Uber eats and deliveroo have been a thing it's just an awful experience in every one I ever have the misfortune of visiting

We visited on Friday lunchtime (25th Nov) we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff downstairs and then went upstairs to eat and the member of staff upstairs was so friendly and helpful! Couldn’t fault the visit.
