Haven’t been to this Mcds since before lockdown On that occasion (and I think I wrote a review to that effect) I ended storming back in and demanding my money back - I’m not someone who does that sort of thing Consequently, it was with some trepidation that I popped in here today mid-way home from a uni visit with my youngest son I had every reason to be nervous It was awful 15 minute queue at the drive through Order placed Got to the window Given our ice creams and told to pull into a waiting bay 20 minutes later - we’ve eaten the ice creams, no sign of our actual burgers… Woman comes out with two bags of food and almost slings them in the window “I think one of these is for the car behind” I say Shrug she does So I have to then do her job and get out of the car with the other customers food As for the food… how can you wait that long for cold rubbery fries? (You kind of hope your waiting whilst they cook stuff fresh) My burger was what I think food critics called “deconstructed” in the box Oh and they couldn’t even be bothered to put straws in the bag (we discovered half way down the road) so my lad didn’t have his shake Disgraceful

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY, You will never get your full order and when you call them the staff could not care less… We have ordered on 3 occasions and every time there is something missing Avoid at all cost

Shocking service no one will help had my order delivered well most of it from the ap has I live 3 miles away came really quick but where 2 items missing I called courier who said he doesn't pack the orders to ring McDonald's so I called them at the restaurant an they said they can't help unless I go in bare in mind I live 3 miles away an paid for delivery they said claim a refund through the ap so I try to do this with no avail has no option to do this it ended up giving me a number to call for Uber eats so I called them an he said he will refund one of the items but can't do anything about other has it part of a meal so will need to go in for god sake I paid for delivery an don't drive so I can't go in he said refund can take 28 days so I'm now waiting to see if this will be refunded an I'm a drink without shocking service why can't they just send what is missing like any other takeaway well see now if this refund happens

Can’t believe how many time this McDonald’s get the order wrong, doesn’t matter if you go to the drive through or Uber eats you always get missing items or the food is cold, like this morning I ordered three breakfast meals with drinks and only got three drinks, now I’m sure it’s not that hard to check orders like it says on the bag, and how does every other branch seem to get it right but this one doesnt

My visit was excellent. Everything worked well - ordering screens etc, the place was very clean and tidy a person wandering around cleaning the whole time. The food arrived at my table fast by a very well mannered guy. What else can you ask for? Parking a bit tight.

Orderd on uber eats for delivery, a driver was assigned and it was been delivered in 10 minutes, got a message saying they were looking for a new driver. An hour later we received our food that had been made over an hour ago it was clap cold and un edible. Called mcdonalds who were blaming uber eats, called uber eats who just wernt interested. Waste of £20.

Great scran keep up the good work. Love the chips they are crispy and delectable. Great amount of salt. Not soggy like other McDonald’s - this is where their value lies.

A huge thank you to all the McDonalds Staff at Tankersley firstly for your understanding of my predicament ( automatic car stuck in the center of the car park that would not start) your swift action to cordon off parking spaces so other cars could navigate around me safely, the hot drinks you brought out to me, the warm hi viz coat you lent me and general pleasant attitude from all of the staff especially Andrea who was a huge help, asking some of the local delivery drivers if they could help. Although this was not the most pleasant experience for me I was very surprised by the numerous generous offers from not only the staff but the general public to assist me. A big thank you to the stranger and his partner who managed to work out how to get an automatic Jaguar into neutral so it could be pushed out of the way while waiting for the recovery vehicle and sorry to all the people that had to navigate around me in the car park prior to this for over 2 hrs. Thank you Andrea and the rest of the McDonalds Team.

Sat waiting in the drive thru for 5 minutes whilst the staff member chatted to the guy in front despite already giving them their food. When i asked about if i had been kept waiting so she could talk she said yes its just one of those things then smirked and shut the windows on me.

What can I say. Awful attitude at collection and 2 fries and 2 chicken ledger meals, both cold and as we were heading for Manchester we were grateful to get over the hills to the next McDonald's before we sh_t ourselves. We both got stomach ache and the brown fountain ⛲ and that was a lesson about the reputation of McDonald's Tankersley and its famous cold food.

Only the drive through working due to refurbishment but cold fries and greasy burgers was delivered through the window of the car. It's the usual standard of what this McDonald's provides when so many others offer theirs hot.

Used the order board which wasn’t as complicated as it looked initially. (My friend helped me). The food was the standard McDonalds and the place clean and tidy.

Called in this evening after work it was busy but that’s not unusual for McDonald’s I ordered 5 chicken selects with smoky bbq dip after paying for my order I went to collect I must’ve been 5 minutes before my food was thrown at me then I waited for ages for my drink all the whole the staff were too busy flirting with each other after finally getting my drink I went home only to find no bbq dip and 3 chicken selects

Never tough I’ll review McDonald’s but that was something what was extremely disappointing Pick up my lunch o the way home that what I find in box was rather disturbing. We visited the drive thru here on the 28th August 2020 and pre placed and paid for an order via the app as this is the recommended way to do things now due to COVID-19. We quoted the order reference at the speaker and was told to proceed to the collection window. Was stopped at the payment window and was told the app payment had been declined and was asked to pay again by card. Thought nothing of it, did this and on the 1st of September checked my bank statements to find 2 transactions for £15.46 one from MCDONALDS and another from MCDONALDS UK fully debited from my account. I emailed them immediately with evidence (receipts & online banking screenshots) and politely asked for a refund of the duplicate charge. They said they’d investigate. Heard nothing for 3 weeks so since Friday 18th September I have been chasing this up every single day and still only being told they are ‘investigating’. Nobody seems to be making any effort whatsoever to return the funds. Although the overall food and service was acceptable it certainly wasn’t worth double the advertised prices and the nightmare that has followed. I fully appreciate that errors and technical glitches can occur but it seems that the aftermath of trying to get it sorted out shows up the complete disregard had for customers. It’s typical bad customer service with lots of use of the word ‘sorry’ but zero action. How hard can it be to look through the transaction logs when you have the date/time and exact order details and authorisation codes to see what went wrong?. I can believe this has happened to people who have not checked their bank statements as well. IF I ever return to this particular McDonalds I will be paying in cash as they aren’t to be trusted.

We had paid for the wrong order on the drive thru and were met with a lovely staff member called Harriet. She was really understanding and helped us immediately, despite clearly being rushed off her feet. Having visited this store multiple times before, I have never had such lovely service. Harriet was extremely polite and quickly sorted our issue. I noted down the name on her name badge and made sure that was correct so I was able to write this review. She deserves recognition!

We took our 3 grandchildren off for the day and the final treat was a McDonald’s on our way home. Our 4 year old was separate for the toilet the therefore I main aim was to get her sorted our 7 year old was extremely hunger And looking forward to a “toy’.Our 10 year old arrived at the car park only to get out and was immediately sick not a good sight for the poor customers inside on the window seating.My husband and I were Feeling tired and completely I confused by the McDonald’s process (Not used it before) for ordering the two lovely ladies at the door came to our immediate attention without being asked. Pointing out the toilets which were busy so they allowed us to used to disabled Ordered the food for the girls who were delighted. Went our to support my husband in the car park with a bucket of water.The customer experience from these staff were exceptional and I want to say thank you so much to them both for the professional, kind and caring attention they gave us. You also may our day buy supporting the girls with Happy meal.Thank you once again.

I really hope this is read by a manager at Tankersley McDonalds .Once again the chips were stone cold!It’s easy to see when they’re bagged up that the fries must be cold. It is not acceptable in a fast food outlet and is obvious that too many chips are prepared at one time and then they sit getting colder. Just do them in smaller batches. I can count on 2 hands how many tines cold fries have been served up over many years.The fries are now hot ... they are on the fire!

I saw this as we left the M1 on the way to Parkrun and it got me in the mood for breakfast, after the run and on our way back we stopped. The car park was busy and the drive through was really busyWe went inside, the interior was one of the modern ones, we ordered and paid on the new electronic order boards which was simple enough. We ordered bacon and egg muffin meal and egg muffin meal which came with a hash brown and drinkWe opted to take a number and sit down, the food was out within 5 minutes and it was well cooked and hotTook me back to my time living Florida when I would pick up breakfast on my way to work from McDonald’s on rare occasions Not my usual food place, but the occasional visit is always a treatAlthough the restaurant was busy it was kept clean and tidy, if I was going passed again I would stop again

ordered a large chips which was actually a similar size to the medium chips included in my mums filet o fish meal yet we still paid for a large. FOF was bread and a sliver of 2 breaded fish type things. which is nothing near to what the ads look like. you're slowly getting less for more costaero mint mcflurry was ok, not quite the smarties one i used to love but it will do, much more a krushems girl now. It is what it is, fast food, relatively cheaply.Good to see a swap to paper straws, but i think it does alter the taste of the coke, which is always the best from mcdonalds. I have tried coke with own reusable metal straw but its not the same, but i'd much rather take the less great tasting coke, than waste plastic on a straw!

We often use this as a stop off point on our journey - good for a coffee, and if necessary, a bite to eatIt has recently been re-furbished and looks great. Staff are fantasticHowever, the upgraded vegetarian food is TERRIBLE!This is the second time we have visited a McDonalds since they changed the veggie menu. They used to do a spicy veggie burger, and before that a veggie wrap. The veggie wrap was discontinued, and when I contacted head office i was told it was so that is should not be prepared where there might be a cross-contamination issue with meat productsBut they still did the spicy or non-spicy burger.Now that has stopped.Veggie wrap has two tasteless veggie gingers (like fish fingers without fish). So today we chose veggie burgers - same two tasteless veggie fingers in a burger bun, with slime (dressing??)I guess we will just have to avoid McDonalds from now on, unless you are a vegetarian with no taste buds!

This is a typical McDonalds Drive thru, good, fast service and the place is always clean. It's in a handy location on some of the main roads between Barnsley and Sheffield.

Why would they want to spend half a million quid and ruin a great comfy McDonald's ? Well that's what they have done here. Replaced comfy padded seating with hard plastic cheap looking seats removed the televisions to view orders and now serving horrible tasting coffee made by baristas. The original coffee was great and we came daily for this. Also there is now a tiny ordering and serving place in a corner where customers and cramped up. Whoever decided to ruin this McDonalds and at the same time waster half a million plus the lost takings for the 3 weeks of closure should be sacked on the spot. We won't be coming here any more .

Best chicken shop in Barnsley, its overtaken my old favourite AFC Wombwell as chips are nicer and bigger portions. Our first order in years as moved away from delivery area and they've just started delivering to our area so glad to be able to use them again. Thankyou Kings for being so good.

Ordered a cappuccino, after waiting for 10 minutes order disappeared off the screen. Asked Staff and they said I needed to wait. After another 5 minutes I just walked out. Ironically I could see the drink waiting on the shelf! But sadly it seems staff were unable to help.

Great tasty food and lovely service! My go to place in Barnsley, they have a variety of selections and choice of drinks. Thank you and I can’t wait to be back :)

Visited today and all staff were hanging out of the drive through window chatting. One staff member then made the order for that customer. I waited a while and asked if she could let them know there was a customer waiting. Her customer service response was they were busy and they were allowed to talk. They need proper customer service training and manners. I will take my business elsewhere as its obviously not important to Starbucks.
