McDonald's in Tonbridge and Malling

Drive thru is ALWAYS a long process. Even when ordering standard items, always asked to go wait in the carpark, haven't waited at a window for a speedy service in ages. This service is not what people choose the drive-thru for.

Great place usually, but they do get the orders wrong too often.

On the whole a decent drive through with a few pick up bays and a decent amount of seating too! Just be careful as can take ages to get food as they send you to wait in the car park so they keep the qué down and look like they're not as busy as they really are.

Took 20 minutes to receive a simple order of sausage and egg McMuffin with 6 other capes asked to park up at 09:00 which was not busy in the slightest. Not worth the average McDonald’s food.

Opposite of fast food. Have waited over 25 minutes for a drive thru standard order on multiple times. You’d be better off ordering just eat to be delivered to your car. It takes forever. Even at non peak times. Don’t bother coming, go to M&S over the road, buy the ingredients yourself and cook them at home. It’ll be faster. Edit: this was written in the car park whilst waiting for 4 standard meals (no customising). It took 35 minutes, and me standing inside asking ever staff member where my meals were. I could have gone to a farm and chosen the animals myself in that time.

Had to wait 23 minutes for the meal to be brought to my car by 2 rude woman who didn't say hello or anything, let alone apologise about the massive delay - What an absolutely awful service - What's the point of a 'fast-food' restaurant with a drive-through if you have to wait 23 minutes.. Avoid at all costs

Omfg ordered dinner for us all and my dinner didn’t arrive were basically told that they can’t resend it and try to claim your money back. The woman claimed to be the manager. Well McDonald’s retrain the rude woman who hung up. I’m now down a whole meal and the money. Any suggestions for this type of service anyone. I’ve never ever been so shocked at the behaviour!

We ordered on the app two cheeseburger large meals from Uber eats it comes the food is stone cold and dry and we get the two fries and the two drinks but 1 burger that we paid for I rung up and he was useless told me when I next come I would get a free cheeseburger we were not happy with this

Never have i ever gone to this McDonald's and been given my food in a timely manner. They always ask you to park up to manipulate their SLAs.

Took 18 mins to get food, no reason, plenty of staff, no help or communication. Deliveroo gets priority, drive through gets priority not if you go in

This McDonalds is consistently the worst one that I ever visit. It just goes to demonstrate that it is not necessarily the business model that is flawed but the management and training within the individual establishment. It was about 7:30pm and relatively quiet inside - about 7 or 8 people were waiting for orders at the counter, inlcuding a few delivery drivers. I ordered at the screen and, as usual, a printed receipt was not generated. Table service was also unailable. Several delivery drivers came and went and the drive-thru seemed consistent but not overly busy. However, team members could be seen regularly walking out to the car park with orders. Team members could be seen behind the scenes, ambling about with no sense of urgency; one in particular spent most of their time with their head in their hands, seemingly unable to correct a mistaken order or understand what was going on. It took 15 minutes for my order to be produced and I suspect that was only after I complained that my order number had dropped off the screen above the counter. Another customer ordering from the screen was served well before me. Other customers I spoke to shared similar experiences of waiting up to 20 minutes. We all agreed that the deliery drivers and the drive-thru are prioritised way above customers inside, especially if eating in. Apologies were given when I explained my frustration but no concession or compensation was offered. The Manager seemed bemused! It's a far cry from the days before the order-screens when you stood at a till and burgers slid down a heated chute behind the cashiers. Back then there was a sense of urgency and the simpler menu meant fewer delays. The order-screens certainly speed remove the bottlenecks at the till but the time-saving don't seem to have translated into the order-preparation areas. It seems that this system works well in some establishments where management is on top of a motiated staff. Here in Tonbridge they are are mostly half-asleep and are able to hide behind the partition of the kitchen.

Never order from these guys! They pack the orders, miss items, but expect you to call uber eats or just eat to fix it. 100% avoid.

Very poor service, started to issue me with wrong meal and then charged me over double for the wrong meal. Now got to wait upto 7 days for my refund. I will not be using Tonbridge McDonald's in future.

I am so annoyed. I went down to McDonald's and ordered a Big Mac meal from the app and collected from the drive through. However, when i got home i opened the bag and looked inside to see that there were no chips. I ordered chips and it even had the packet that they came in, bu there were no chips. This annoyed me but i decided to open my Big Mac box to see that my burger looked like it was put together by a 5 year old. The burger was half out if the bun and it was a total mess in general. Not happy.

I can't really leave review for good, service and atmosphere ad we waited over half an hour with asking twice when our order would be ready and promised it was on its way got fed up by this time so asked for a refund not good enough

First visit to a McDonalds, awful food and very slow service. A very small quarter pounder contained two vey thin pieces of cheese,two microscopic pieces of I think cucumber, a tasteless piece of meat and a soggy bun. Chips were OK. probably the worst burger I have ever eaten, never again. Also service was slow, our friends food was delivered first and half eaten before ours turned up.

I work in Tonbridge Area every Monday. For 5 weeks in a row you have been out of all Milkshakes, Ice Creams and iced drinks. When I mentioned this to a member of staff the response I got was we had them at the weekend. Were they ? I suggest who ever is in charge of stock levels needs some staff training.

We don't come here that regularly, but whenever we do, we use the drive through and end up having to wait in the car park for our order. Kind of defeats the object of fast food.....

Terrible place and should not call it a drive through fast food restaurant at all. We have never come here and gone through the drive through with our food, we are always told to park for 20 to 30 minutes. Avoid at all cost.

Always a massive delay, never "fast" food

This is the worst Mcdonalds for service. I've had items missing so many times I've stopped going And whatever you do don't order for delivery. You never get your full order. They don't ever refund you and blame uber and uber blame mcdonalds

The drive thru is OK except they never seem to have and food ready to go I always get directed to sit in the car park I left there yesterday with cold chips and a lukewarm Big Mac, never mind the 20 minutes you wait if my wife is with me and orders vegetarian options. I enjoy McDonald’s but I'm not sure why this branch doesn't get it right

No greetings, no goodbyes. Gloomy atmosphere. Probably the station brings that into employees.

Well no one expects too much of Macdonalds, but I am getting really sick of ordering at the drive through and then having to sit in the car park for 15 minutes waiting for my food. This is not a drive through. This is not fast food. And having to watch an endless procession of MacD employees wandering round the car park trying to figure out who to give their (now cold) food to is soul destroying. Avoid this place is you possibly can.

I personally do not eat McDonald's for dietary reasons and I have not eaten one for 11 years, but I was collecting an order for someone. The restaurant was empty apart from about 3 people. Only one order in front of mine. My order collection was for a sausage McMuffin, double sausage McMuffin, orange juice and Coke. It took 15 minutes to be prepared!! Really slow service. I would hate to think how long it would take if they were busy 😳

Order 5x times have only received 1 which was cold never again the supervisor is a joke

A bit hard to find a parking space. It takes long to prepare your order in the morning.

Drive through experience is once again abysmal. 30 minute wait in the car park and the servers bringing out the food leave the packaging open so it goes cold in the open air. So, quite expensive, long wait, car park bedlam and cold food.

Shocking as always, every time i have been to this Tonbridge McDonalds I have to wait even for a basic meal that should be ready to go , also never have milkshake machine aways broken 1 in 5 visits you might get lucky avoid

Has to be the slowest McDonald's. On my last visit (for Sunday breakfast) they handed me my hot drinks and then asked for me to wait in the car park, I said no as my hot drink will go cold before I get home, I sat at the first window and as if by magic they were faster. Won't be parking up again.

It's McDonald's, food isn't great but you get what you pay for. Toilets really need cleaning more as way to many parents let their little children go to the toilet on there own leaving them filthy!

My 6-year-old daughter met her friend here. They sat, ate and had a good time. A month later we received a £100 fine because we’d stayed there for 95 minutes. Apparently you’re only allowed in the car park for 90 mins. Needless to say, we’ll never be going back. Shockingly bad customer service.

If I could give them no stars I would! I ordered via the McDonald’s app my food took over an hour and a half to come it was stone cold, non edible I called up to ask if I could collect it again and was refused, the “manager.” That was on the phone spoke to me with a disgusting tone and was very rude it is highly disrespectful!!! He never spoke polite once. Just said I had to call just eats which I then did for them to tell me they can’t unfortunately do anything. NEVER WILL I COME TO THIS MCDONALDS RUDE RUDE WORKERS AND MANAGERS WHO THINK THEY CAN SPEAK RUDE TO THERE CUSTOMERS!!!!

This place has gone soooo downhill they run out of just about everything no milkshakes EVER wait for our 50 mins for food in car park who ever runs this McDonald's needs sacking it's disgraceful used to be good but every time we come in here just gets worse has enough of this one kept giving benefit of the doubt but just keeps getting worse

Absolutely shocking. Waited over 35 minutes for a breakfast wrap. In the end I went in to get it and staff just standing around chatting. When I got back to the car with my food they’d missed items on my order. Idiots

With total respect for the hard working employees there, something is fundamentally wrong with this place. You'll be very lucky if you get in the bag exactly what you ordered. So many times missing order items. And obviously not worth getting back to pick the missing juice or the fries.

Useless... I don't remember one time I've been to the drive through and not been asked to wait for food, doesn't matter what I'm ordering, porridge, egg muffin, it's never FAST. Prepare for at least 10 min wait anytime of day.

Has to be one of the worst McDonald's around. The drive thru rarely has what you want cooked. I don't think I've ever gone straight through. Always asked to wait somewhere. I wouldn't get a delivery, they never get those right & probably hope you can't be bothered to make a fuss. The food itself is typical McDonald's fare. They have no pride in their work & definitely have no care about getting your order correct.

Awful service! Do not go here! Or as another review says, ask for a refund if they tell you to park up. The carpark is basically full of cars parked up waiting for their food! We waited 20 mins just for a happy meal, dippers and a cheeseburger! Shocking!

Try not to eat mcdonalds anymore as it doesn't fill you up, and I always have a slight sickly feeling the day after. The nuggets are good, that's about it these days. There's no point getting anything else because the prices for the quality don't match up. Almost £9 for a big mac meal? The burger is hardly worthy of the title 'big'. Staff are friendly, though, it's clean when I went in but there was quite a big queue and the annoying deliveroo/just eat/uber eats drivers kept pushing in front and getting their orders even if you had already been waiting 10 minutes

The drive thru concept has changed here and is frankly useles! Every time they say can you park in the car park and you wait 10 minutes for your food. So inefficient - especially when they frequently forget the sauce you ordered and paid for.

I'm not a junk food fan, so my scores reflect that. Apparently, the chickens used by McDonald's UK are now free range and they have vegetarian options too. They have basic games machines for little ones and the staff are friendly. Prices-wise, it cost us around £35 for meals for five people. Atmosphere-wise, I rated it 3* as I am more of a restaurant type, but it's fine for the genre. The food is what you'd expect, but it isn't all that healthy, of course, which is why I've rated it 3* for food.

Don’t normally post reviews but this really has to said : Possibly the most painfully slow McDonalds on planet earth ! “We are just waiting for your food, can you wait in the car park please ” you could put your life on it that they will say it ! I can't fathom why I have to wait every time I come here! I even pre ordered this time, I was told 5 mins max and I'm still here 15 mins later. I dare not go in as I'll have to fight through a load of grunting delivery drivers fighting to get their orders. Quicker to drive to Tunbridge Wells and back, quick addition, got home and the happy meal was missing it's carrot sticks, useless!

It was a nightmare, everything was wrong, the place is extremely dirty, the machine was out of paper so I couldn't get a receipt, the number of the order flickered, I was in the challenge of chasing my order... Staff was extremely not helpful... Everything was wrong literally...

I thought I would “nip into McDonald’s Tonbridge” for a quick breakfast as I was early meeting friends at the nearby Golf driving range. After ordering via the menu screen , I waited over 10 mins and still not not ready to collect. I spoke to a very disinterested manageress and insisted on a refund. Total waste of time.

The worst experience of mi life in McDonald's more than 20 min to order as i had a promotion and they didn’t know how to redeemed it. I was asked more than 5 times what i ordered afterwards I was send to the window to try to order with the manager, He said my voucher is expired but not, clearly it said reedem by 26 of January, I had to explain to the manager what does it mean use by english UNBELIEVABLE. After all days wait more than 15 min for the food.

One of the better McDonald's around and open 24/7. Being asked to park up and staff forgetting items like dips when they come out to you (meaning you have to go back round again or go inside) is a common gripe with many McDonald's restaurants however this isn't one of them. I use this place a lot (as is evident by my waistline) and it's very rare they get an order wrong. Staff are very pleasant and polite as well.

No matter what time of day when using the drive through you get sent to the car park to wait for your order sometimes 15, 20, 30 minutes. Going in to order isn't any better. With deliveroo and uber eats taking I over the restaurant. They shove you out of their drive through lane to keep their sensors hitting targets on their restaurant leader board. Because their service is so shocking bad and slow. Can't be having a car sat at their window for more than a few minutes.

We occasionally drop by for a McPlant burger, hot apple pie and coffee. Very busy drive through at Tunbridge Wells in the early evening, but service is professional and fast.

Foods normally ok but very long waits and parked up for orders 90 % of the time. Would avoid where possible and go to the Tunbridge Wells one!

McDonald's has a very limited menu, I tried every different burger but nothing caught my attention, it's either bland or just nothing. Maybe due to the low cost of the burgers, the taste disappears i have gone to many countries and tried their famous food and they represent their country. Sadly the UK MacDonald's has failed me. The service is excellent even though MANY people come for that tasteless food, without hesitation the workers move to fulfill their orders. The atmosphere is disgusting, I am sorry for using harsh language. You can improve. Children screaming people were everywhere sauce was splattered everywhere lettuce was on the floors, chairs, and walls and no one cared to even clean it!!!! I truly believe that McDonald's can improve!

I did not receive a receipt at the machine even though it took £23. It took them to long to find my order they insisted it was another order. This wouldn't have happened with cash and a human . When I go out to eat I expect some kind of service

They do not deserve a single star, staff are rude. Completely ignore customers wanting to pay at the till. Waited 20 minutes before leaving without being seen. The food was the same as most McDonald’s but was served cold at the drive through. Staff were very blunt and seemed rude.

The delivery button to the table in the app was inactive as I reported and showed it to Kateryna, but she did not technically understand what i meant (nothing to do with language as I speak Ukrainian). After that, I voiced the problem on the counter to another employee, but he didn’t understand me either. I asked to speak to the manager and he convinced me that the order would be delivered to the table but it did not happen and instead three people were screaming from the counter area number 029. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my little daughter at the table alone. When my wife came back, I went to the till to grab it and was almost ignored again until my eyes determined that I was dissatisfied. It was finally delivered. However, there was the unpleasant feeling that they did not care about me. I’m sorry to write about it and this is my first feedback because usually your restaurant provides an amazing service. Also add that the restaurant was not busy and was almost empty.

Very poor service at Tonbridge Branch. I was given somebody else’s meal. When I returned the meal to the branch I was told I was not entitled to a refund. What surprised me the most was when my receipt was destroyed by the manager after it was found not to match my card details. I am seriously thinking of going else where now for my rake away meals.

For a "fast food" establishment, the service is not very fast. Usually people are waiting upward or 5/10 minutes to get their food, it's pretty embarrassing at times.

Forget using the drive thru it's ridiculously slow. Had to park up and wait for 2 muffin meals despite there being no one in front of me. 15 minutes later, still no meal despite a couple of employees circling the car park for a good 5 minutes then going back inside. Went inside to find out where food was and was told its just gone out. Staff did a few more laps of the car park and finally realised that they might have my food with them. 20 minutes wait. Still, the food probably earned some air miles the amount of times it circumnavigated the car park. All good apart from that.

Went in at 5.30pm, not overly busy. Ample parking. Table service was quick, food was hot.

Have been about 10 times. Half of the time the restaurant was not open when it clearly says on a huge sign in front of McDonald's 24/7 and it's open on Google maps. The other half has always been terrible service, missing food, poor attitude towards customers even when things are escalated to management. Wrong orders, definitely dodgy food, tasteless sometimes tasted of dog food and the drinks are somewhat watery.

Found a rat in the kitchen. They tried to cover it up. Some guy edging in the toilet, but I think that says more about the kind of customers there getting than them.

Last two drive through orders have had stuff missing, 20 nuggets the first time, 2 chips missing last night. It really isn't that difficult to check an order 🤦‍♂️
