The diner doesn't seem to be bad, but the parking lot is not safe for trucks. Fuel was drained overnight from Sunday to Monday

We visited today for 2 massive big breakfast baguettes and a coffee each. This a really impressive snack bar , I challenge anyone to find one better. It gets very busy but dnt be put off if there's a queue it's well worth the wait. I used to use blue gem 36 yrs ago when nan & grandad used to have a tiny caravan snack bar and it's was really great back then. There's a huge selection with the new setup now , still family run and all the staff are fantastic 👏.

Best breakfast or lunch anywhere on the M20! Don’t bother with service stations… come off at junction 4 and head to Snodland. The baps are fresh, large and delicious, the whole menu extensive & affordably priced. Highly recommend a stop here.

Went for the big breakfast wrap and a coffee food and drink both absolutely delicious and the prices are amazing (just what you need to start a morning off right)

This place is always busy (which speaks for itself), so no matter what you order, you get great food. There is a lot on the menu, but they know what they are doing, and it is always cooked fresh and in front of you. The staff are very friendly and professional and treat their customers well. I have never had a bad meal from here, I will keep going back time and time again. I highly recommend the breakfast wraps or burgers. You don't have to worry about the prices either as they are very reasonable.

My teens were very agreeable to a walk at leyboune lakes if they could get food here , always looks busy and the reviews are good . They had a chicken fillet burger , a breakfast bap and a portion of chips between them and it was all really good . It's cooked to order so there's a little wait, though time wise no different to a Maccy D's and the food is actually hot . There are plenty of picnic benches with parasols to eat at .

My favourite snack wagon to visit, massive choice of food, good quality, friendly service, good price too for under a fiver you get half a French stick full of bacon sausage n egg as a big guy it fills me up for the day.

This is simply the best catering van I've been to if anyone wants to know how to do it right then visit this place and you won't be disappointed, food quality is excellent the staff are professional and welcoming I will be going out of my way in future to visit again ,also I'm just pleased to see there are people still out there who really care what they produce and it really shows in their food the effort that is put in

Best out there. If it comes to breakfast sticks, blt's and all morning munch there is no better than blue gem. Prices are also very decent. No wonder there is always queue in front of the truck!

I have been told about this snack bar and how good the food is...so true, its not that expensive, variety of choice is excellent. Staff all friendly. Situated in a lyeby next to the entrance to Laybourne lakes. All food is fresh... There are even table and chairs if you don't want to use your car....weather permitting!

Great food, very clean. 12-1-23 wasn't there.Update. It wasn't their fault as road works were being carried out. I still stand by my review of it being an excellent cafe and worth a ride slightly out your way.

Rudest staff I have ever met in my life

Start with the positive. Value for money in terms of portion size brilliant struggled to finish it. Now for the bad bits, the wait was horrendous just shy of a hour for one sausage & egg bagel. I understand it can get busy but at least warn the customers before taking there order wasn’t the warmest of days to be stood for a hour. Food it self was not worth the wait slapped together didn't know how to tackle it. And well it just wasn't nice, No flavour at all bland and boring. But if time is irrelevant to you and you just want to be full for a good price blue gem is for you!

Food is excellent no complaints there, customer service not so much. Ignored for ten minutes not even a “be with you in a minute” then they got my order wrong. Would not complain if it was a one way ff but I have been three times and customer service has let them down on each occasion. It’s a shame really because the food is so good.

This place is an institution. Been having the breakfast stick on Fridays forever... And it's always great. Gets busy, but it's worth the wait. Good portions. Decent prices. Huge selection of nosh and sauces. Get in.

Very tasty food and the size of the portions is great value. As a truck driver it can be hard to get parking as they are alway super busy and can take a while for the food but it’s worth the wait!

I do not recommend . the staff yelled at me and told me they were giving me my money back after waiting for a burger for 30 minutes. then he served me raw meat

I'm back again 9 months later on and now I deduct 2 of those stars. A simple fried egg sandwich,, crust on bread that I couldn't rip apart,, egg complete with the black scrapings from hot plate,, wrapping to carry away in doesn't wrap, it returns to a flat state.. not impressed.

If you want to be wowed go to this place, never seen a burger van like it and the food coming out of it is amazing!!! Will stop here again!

Not sure what’s it like in the morning but me and my partner always go during the afternoon for a quick brunch, service is always good and food is always delicious but if you’re coming later near the end of closing time you might not be able to get chips and i would say it’s probably one of the best things that they have but overall Blue Gem has always been a good place to stop by and the amount of condiments my gosh you will never run out of option, always recommend this place to other people as well.

Didn't want salty tiger bread..(perhaps i wasn't clear on my order) .but after the order was taken food was delivered fast...I used to stop her 3 times a week, that was 10 years ago. I don't stop here much as my business travel has changed.

A real gem, food a little hit and miss on quality and getting the order right just lately. A man before me took bacon and mushroom even though it wasn't his order as it was wrong, I had paid for extra onions and didn't get them. We have used this place for years change of ownership is starting to show a little now.

Had to wait to order while staff chatted to friends, only ordered egg and bacon sandwichand 20± mins later they served up a sausage and egg sandwich for the customer that had arrived 10 mins after me. With only 30 mins for lunch had to get a refund.

Quality freshly cooked food good value will defiantly use again

Food this good just shouldn't be able to come out of a van in a lay by! Its lovely ingredients, good right, put together with care and served with pride at great value! I am never going to my local bakery again, will always go here for treat whenever I can. Blue Gem is absolute hidden gem and so glad I found it!!

The food was good as it always is, but there was absolutely no social distancing in place, no screens, no signage, people were literally rubbing shoulders to collect there food. A little signage and some orderly, socially distanced queues would go along way.

Reccommend for classic snack wagon food. Wide range in there menu that you can find Facebook if you want to have a look. Also they have a massive range of sauces so great to test and try different sauces if you fancy it!
