McDonald's in Cardiff

Popped in quickly en-route home from work tired and hungry. The staff and service are always great, but I do find the parking a little scarce on times (although I did park).

Wonderful McDonald's, very clean and tidy, staff were very helpful. Little hidden gem location wise

I start the day here. Thomas is always very friendly and the lady server inside.

Served by children, and it's OK, but my grandson loves the kids' meal, so I'm happy if he is.

Normal great quality food. Dropped a star as the prices are higher than standard as it's a franchise.

You know what your getting at Mcd's, fair food for a fair price. Not much staff interaction but hey....

Worst McDonald’s I’ve had. Burger was legit dripping with grease and the chips were stale asf. Only ate it coz I’m Hank Marvin.

I recently visited this McDonald's, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The place was absolutely filthy. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, maybe even months. The bins were overflowing, with rubbish spilling onto the floor. The tables were dirty, covered in leftover food and stains, and the ipads for children was sticky and unclean. The toilets were in a shocking state—clearly, no one had bothered to clean them, perhaps ever. It's hard to believe a place like this is still operating. Completely unacceptable hygiene standards. Avoid at all costs.

A quiet Monday evening impromptu visit to McDonald's following a trip to Asda. The order screens where not printing receipts and no table place numbers available. The order was delivered to the table without fries so needed to back to the counter to collect. They where sadly cold and had been in the lamp light for a while as certainly where not fresh. The restaurant wasn't busy but tables where left with rubbish and the sauce despenser was empty.

Bins always smell inside with fruit flies buzzing everywhere. But im always hesitant as it's off and on some nights it'll be the best McDonald's I've had crispy hot fries a neat burger all sauce plus knives and forks with a great attitude but 80% 90% of the time there rude don't want to work there and just take any pride in themselves or the job they wanted to work at but to the very few who work untill close and actually say have a great night enjoy your food ask if need anything thank you keep up the good work not like your co workers!!

Staff in the drive through are very friendly and understandable.

It's McDonalds, it OK when you are in a rush.

I asked what sauce comes with the big tasty, the reply was 'tasty' 🙄 so o didn't buy it, inform your staff on what's in your burgers please

Hit + miss on takeaway. Quite often fries are cold. Once left can't return !

The food is hot and delicious. Staff is friendly. And it is easy for parking and it is good point to take a break It’s rare to get hot French fries from the UK, but this place is a good old wheat shop

Did the drive through but they weren't the fastest. Food was hot and enjoyable.

This restaurant rarely delivers the sauces as per order or on receipt! Ruins my meal every time!

I’ve used this McDonald’s for the longest time but lately things seem to have gone down hill. Food sucks, today I received rock solid chips, hard enough to chip a tooth! Milkshakes always taste awful and aren’t cold. Regular staff are give great service, especially the cleaner however management seem to have never worked in customer service and want to cut corners on food service.

Everything was in the bag unlike the partial orders you get from the Ty Glas branch.

Service was quick and polite with the food cooked well and tasted good.

says 24 hours but is drive through only, doesn't say that anywhere. Man is starving , cold, and disappointed. Peak times.

It's a McDonald's, so I expect their standard of service. This one was well up to standard and had seats by the trees outside, which was perfect as it was a hot day and meant we could enjoy drinks outside.

Parking spaces and lanes are fine if you drive a Sinclair C5. Whoever designed this needs to be put on the sunshine bus.

Parking can be a problem, not many spaces and an awkward car park to get out of

The place doesn't stand out from others

Got to be honest, there’s normally something wrong so was pleasantly surprised when my food arrived on time. The delivery driver was cheerful and polite too. All my order was there and all correct plus it was hot. Well done tonight’s staff and the driver - restored my waning faith in McDonald’s being delivered.

Completely unacceptable amount of time for delivery

We used the drive through. It was quite late 11.30ish. We ordered at the microphone stop and proceeded to the first window but as itcwas empty asthere was no staff we went on to the next window. The lady there said you should have paid there. I told there were no staff members at the window. She made us (and the 4 cars that had come behind us) to back up to pay. Surely she could have collected the funds And paid it into the till of the second computer

Fast service better than other mcdonalds

Where do I start? If I could give 0 stars, I would. Went to McDonalds here to take advantage of their cracking 3 for £3 offer and opted for x3 packets of chicken nuggets (because protein is key, am I right?). I patiently waited for my number to be called. The scary, hefty lady called my number (my order number and not my phone number as I would have moved countries had she done that). I walked up to collect my chicken nuggets with open palms. She threw them at me. She threw my chicken nuggets at me. I am surprised that she didn’t dent the counter that she slammed them on. Nuggets still tasted fine (I’d give around 6/10. Solid protein for the gains). One recommendation I would make would be to the nugget thrower herself. This recommendation is that when her 40 something year old self decides to leave her post at McDonalds and seek a proper position elsewhere, she may want to consider trying out for the British Olympic Shot Put team. I think she has a bright future there.

No straw for the milkshake! Not good enough!

Actually insulted to my face by the staff for pointing out they were charging me more than the advertised prices on the boards.. totally brainless. When they realised they were in error, they walked away... mcdonalds isn't going to last with such bad service at the now ridiculous prices.

Ordered Brekfast on self service before 11am , waited around 15 minutes and 9 orders placed after mine went out before to tgen be told at 11:15 theu no longer doing brekfast as it after 11am . Customer service from manager/ supervisor Kathleen Macarrick abosolutly shocking . No only was her attiude the complaint discusting she was rude to other customers too . In wrong job i think

I love this McDonald's, only thing I didn't like this time is there's boys on the outside table drinking wine and beers, accompanied by 2 of the McDonald's staff.

The food tasted rubbish whilst having to wait 1 hour for a burger and fries I also found a plaster in it the staff was rubbish so unfriendly I also had food poisoning witch wasn’t good

Don't know why it's called fast food. Took ages. Then gave it to me on a tray when I ordered to go. Asked for a bag and they watched me bag it up myself. Useless

Placed a order on the McDonald’s app before getting there, got to the drive through and the speaker directed us to the one futher up sat there for 15 mins staff was outside smoking just looking at us no one said anything. Decided to drive to the next window incase the speaker was broken (it wasn’t) staff member seen us in the car and kept ignoring us then kept shouting through the window were closed. I was trying to get his attention to ask about the order but refused to come to the window. When he finally come to the window he said with attitude we’re closed and went to close the window again, I asked him about the order as the money was taken and I wasn’t sure what to do he was very blunt and said no money would be taken out showed him that the order has gone through he huffed and left to get a manager, the manger was lovely super helpful with how to change it on the app to do amendments. I don’t think it’s great customer service and I appreciate they’re closing but I only needed help to make amendments to the order I didn’t really appreciate the attitude that was given was really rude this same person also seen the car waiting at the speaker for ages so he could of even made us aware then. What a waste of 25 mins I’m super disappointed :(

The chips were a little cold, apart from that everything else was fine. My burger was still lovely and warm and very tasty.

Sunday manager was really rude no sense of speaking kicking off delivery riders for no reason. There is in the package items doesn’t match watch I ordered it’s doesn’t match.

Bad service from Long Beach face manager😅 feel sorry for the night shift staffs🥹 cancelled my 2nd delivery, just delivered 1, couldn’t wait to get out of McDonald’s. The worst one I have ever been to. Cold food, not tasty, burger seemed like it was bitten and staff not really aware of what is happening.

The food was freezing there was a burger missing from the order. The chips were burnt but cold I did not even know that was possible I am disgusted that I just paid £30 for what I just received.

Did a drive through had sausage muffin which could have been hotter but unfortunately was only warm as I was already on the road I couldn't return it

missing cheese bites incl. dips that were part of that offer. missing large Mcspicy meal along with a strawberry milkshake, and also missing medium the fajita chicken one wrap meal which was to include a medium banana milkshake. the parts of the order that did arrive, were cold and the fries weren't great. overall disappointment.

the food was great and didn't take long to be served. the only problem is the lack of parking and seating areas.

Used drive thru firstly asked if I wanted an extra hash brown at a special price only to Lear that it wS the same as the original price. Then charged for a bag and wasn't given an option, and in addition to this asked for a BBQ sauce and wanted to charge me 10p.Ibviously a franchised store so can't really blame the staff as I'm sure this is what they are being told to do. Food was cold, and when I looked at the bacon in the roll looked old stock. Mcdonalds this site obviously needs some focus of attention, unfortunately I wont be back to feather the franchise owners pockets.

We ordered our food at around 2:30 and it arrived at 3:45.

Delivered to a completely different address and took my money and said nothing !!! I demand a refund … I watched the driver on the map deliver it over a mile away!! My address was correct there is no way it should have delivered to a completely different area!!

ALWAYS something wrong with the order. 1 sugar for a large tea and not enough milk. PLEASE STOP PUTTING COLD DRINK LIDS UNDER THE HOT DRINK LIDS. Someone is going to seriously scold themselves! (On the rare occasion that they turn up hot, that is!)

The food was fine, however, the order did not have the dips (all 6 dips were missing). This happens regularly and I end up having to pick up the dips because drivers do not check the orders and neither drivers nor macdonalds want to take responsibility for the mistake.

Full stars, only for the man who took my order and then cheerfully sang the McDonald’s tune. Made my day!!! Thank you 🙏

Took 20 minutes to get 2 meals and a happy meal when I ordered from the app in 1 of the bays, and there was hardly anyone in and around it and people getting served and leaving in the drive through quicker 🙄

Restaurant was fine and food typical of any McDonald's, but parking is very limited and can be difficult to find a space at busy times.

Excelent experience for children !!
