McDonald's in Tunbridge Wells

Easily the worst Mcdonalds I've EVER been to! After roughly half an hour of waiting and then realising that our food was sitting on the side going cold waiting for drinks to be placed on the tray, I finally snapped and suggested that they might like to hurry up. I also didn't take kindly to watching one of the staff get an embarrasing dressing down from what I can only assume was the manager. Check other reviews out, they are nearly all negative and so so true. I for one will never go back there and I'm considering complaining directly to Macdonalds head office.......Shameful

Awful service, menu items not available. Got our drive thru order home & found an item missing which we'd paid for. Atrocious!

Constantly missing things when you order, they rush around too much and don’t take care for the customers, literally day light robbery, wouldn’t recommend ordering!!!!!!!!

Terrible experience, Monday night at 6:45 no queues on drive through yet had to wait for 15 minutes for our food. Totally dis-organised once we had the food pulled off and parked up to eat cold burgers. Didn’t have the patience’s to go back and get a fresh burger cooked. Avoid like the plague.

My experience here has genuinely sworn me off Maccas for life, bad service, missed food off our order, lots of options werent available - and it wasnt even a rushed time slot that we went.

Ordered on the app, they forgot half our food and said we could claim on the app. But you cant. Worst service from a mcdonalds

It's not the first time I've had missing items from my order at the Tunbridge Wells McDonald's branch. I can't recall the last time my order was complete, in person at the drive through or ordering through the app. I've also heard from other people they've had the same issue, where they are incapable of providing the correct order. I called last night and was informed that we were not entitled to a refund or for my missing food, which was nearly half the order to be delivered. The operator noted my complaint but stated that nothing could be done. I believe that this is unacceptable as you are taking money for food that you are not delivering. I think that Trading Standards should be made aware of this ongoing issue.

After waiting 30 minutes at our table, I got up and asked a man behind the counter how much longer our food would be, he said another hour. I asked for a refund and didn’t even get a full refund

Just had to wait 30 minutes for our food, i enquired why it was taking so long and was told itll be out when its out,very rude staff and couldn't care less, this is our nearest McDonald's and literally every time we go we have a negative experience, absolutly useless

Ordered 9 nuggets- got 5. Milkshake was really watery. Burgers had no taste. A terrible experience. Won’t be going back

Epic fail again! Ordered a Philly stack without pickles or onions and the photo is what I got. Delivered via Uber so someone clearly thought they were having a laugh. This must be the worst McDonald’s in the country they never get it right.

Had to wait for 45 minuets for my food, ended up having to ask for a refund from the manger Scott who was incredibly rude and told me there was nothing he could do so ended up leaving. On my way out my friend had his drink nocked over by another employe who was NOT willing to provide us with her name but (went to get a new drink) and then turned up with the same cup which had been on the floor. Would not recommend going to this store and will be getting in contact with higher management as wasn’t even provided with a refund for my food and drink!

Do not use this branch!! Over the last month this branch has got steadily worse. Yesterday I was given a toffee coffee, couldn’t drink and noticed after I had queued for 30 mins. This time went back and said this to them and this time (after 40 mins) was given a pale brown liquid that was not coffee in any way. Never again. There are consistently serving delivery personnel and customers are waiting, badly served or wrongly. They have just lost a regular customer

Fast food is fast food and when I come to a McDonald’s I am not expecting Michelin star cooking or service. I want a Big Mac served in a timely manner and I know it’s a first world problem but the Tunbridge Wells branch of the chain is shocking. The food is cooked quickly once ordered and then shoots to their conveyor ready for bagging and despatching to customers. It’s at that point in the process, the system completely breaks down. 3 “front of house “staff are far more interested in chatting to off duty colleagues, meandering around allowing the food to stockpile on their conveyor. After a 35 minute wait, I asked for my simple order : Big Mac fries and a McFlurry. It was put together from the stockpile in 60 seconds but must have taken away from other customers awaiting their orders. No management oversight, no staff motivation, no care - hordes of customers endlessly waiting as Uber and deliveroo drivers weaved in or out to take their priority orders. Awful - totally avoid. KFC is next door

Plentiful parking, welk-run, decent prices and prizes to be won! The seating is clean and comfortable. Drinks great! The menu has something for everyone.

After driving all night coming from France I wanted a breakfast and meet my partner in the morning I decided to choose Tunbridge Wells as a place to have breakfast. I had been up more than 24hrs and parked up ready for the breakfast as they where not open. And been safe as I was really tired after the long drive. I had a coffee, then went back for breakfast when arrived and another coffee before I left to get a 50 pound parking fine!!!! I never left mcdonalds while there and never just went off for the day. Just wanted a good breakfast with my partner and I get this. Knowing the meaning of day light robbery this comes away and above that. Ashamed to be British and ashamed how these people act it's sad and you lot should be ashamed of yourselves.

Make sure you keep your orders simple if you want to get them, albeit cold. If you order 3 or more items you are almost guaranteed something will be missing, too difficult for them to count past 2 or read orders correctly. Absolutely useless.

Crap service!!!!. They replaced cold food with barely warm food twice. To busy with delivery orders and drive it's. Took over 10 minutes to get table service. Waited so long that I went up to get my food, which was just sitting on the counter....

Shocking service!!! The drive through is not working you have nothing ready and u r asked to wait in a bar for over 25 mins. This isn’t fast food!!!

We went at tea time on a saturday and we didn't have to wait long to place our order, and that when it all went wrong.I ordered a chicken legend with hot and spicy mayo, only to be told they didn't have any.I changed my order to a chicken sandwich, which when I arrived home, found it to be only a small piece of chicken and lettuce in a dry bun.Now, I know this isn't how it's supposed to be served and it was very disappointing.There wasn't even any serviettes to clean our hands.How difficult can it be to add the toppings it should have.It doesn't want to make us return.

Went through drive thru , unfortunately our double cheese burger was cold and our latte tasted like dishwater, which is unusual because i usually love a maccies latte im affraid no more .

We regularly eat here and it is excellent. The service is fast, the food is great value, it's very tasty, the menu is flexible. Me and Owen Taz often ask for vegan stuff where we customize the menu and they always do it. Tone regularly gets his breakfast here and he knows what he's talking about. When he's flat out they are quick and efficient. The only other place is Roddy Burgers where the man called Roddy makes them. He is good too. Highly recommend.

I was getting a McDonald’s and asked the lovely gentleman on the door whether the toilets were open, he told me unfortunately they were not but gave me a list of places that possibly could be open, all whilst being safe. I proceeded to order using the touch screens and wait, and one of the ladies (believe she was a manager), saw I was alone getting two drinks with my meal and although busy and having so many orders, she got me a cup holder and was so accommodating whist social distancing.

The first drive through experience I’ve had where there’s no menu to choose from when you're in the queue.The lady over the microphone responded to me like i was mad when i asked where the menu was, and pointed my attention to a 5 foot tall giant screen in front of the car - this had no menu on it though, just a gigantic yellow “M” and a couple of offers on coffee and donuts.I had to then look up the menu on my phone, which she wasn’t happy about (assume it hurts their targets if you take too long in the queue....), so i just ordered something i didn't really want to not cause a fuss.What kind of a restaurant doesn’t have a menu, clearly one run by a bunch of plonkers.

I loved my McDonalds! However, we ordered no cheese for my brother and we got cheese. My mum wanted no cheese and ketchup and she got them. Usually I love McDonalds from my local one but this one is rubbish. Parking was bad and the drive through is good till it gets cuts from two lanes to one all of the sudden. This was on a way back from a holiday. Also, they thought we ordered chicken burgers and happy meals when we ordered big macs. Just avoid this McDonalds! It was the drive-thru!

I normally love going to McDonalds but this McDonalds but this one had a slow drive through and poor service. They nearly gave us the wrong order and we customised it but they put cheese in which I don't like and said especially that I didn't want to have. Don't go here!!!!

I’ve eaten at a lot of McDonald’s in my time, stoned off my face and not. However every time I’ve been through the drive through here the quality of the food has been terrible, it’s taken over a minute just to be talked to where you first pull up and everything is chucked in the bag with no care. Fries will be upside down and everywhere with everything else on top. I’ve had issues in the past with wrong orders but this has gotten a lot better recently.

Muddled order (there seems to be a theme among the other reviews!), no napkins provided and despite two attempts I still ended up with a hot chocolate instead of a coffee. Poor customer service all round....

The issue I have with this branch is that 50% of the time they get my order wrong.I always customise my burgers to be exactly how I like them and it’s that that clearly struggle with. Why offer this option if you can’t read what it is people want? They even put a sticker on the burgers packaging to say what should be in it!!!I made the mistake of ordering something to be delivered from here via Uber eats once, never again, that order was wrong and then trying to get a refund for what they got wrong was like getting blood from a stone.In conclusion always check your order, don’t trust them to have got it right, as it’s likely that they haven’t

Having been disappointed yesterday with a badly put together burger (one of those ones where lazy staff can't be bothered that result in paying customers having to reassemble themselves to make eating easy) I decided to try again today. I specifically asked politely when I ordered that the burger be made as the picture. Stacked. And what did I get ....Cheese hanging out one side. And the so called managers response.... Without apology. .that's the best we can make it. Despite it being obviously difficult to eat that way the manager then berated me. Disabolical service. Some retraining needed I think. Net resukt.... I get a refund. They throw away £6.50. silky little man

Parking so small, only one disabled place. Could not be more than 20 places in total. Disabled toilet require a special key. All other toilets upstairs, no lift.Staff very nice, food very good. However for a diabled person not so good.

Popped through the drive through for lunch luckily no queues quick service & out in no time, food was hot so no issues, would go again

Place was completely empty so received a fast and friendly service. Fries were cold and hard as always. More worryingly this time the milkshake had an awful taste to it and burnt my mouth. I took the lid off of the cup and it smelt awful too!

I returned after receiving a voucher for all the issues I have experienced in the past and the food was what I ordered and hot but the staff engagement was nil! I’m assuming that they are new staff but when my food was thrust out of the serving hatch, the chap didn’t even make eye contact or say a word as he continued to chat to his colleagues...I’m assuming that they consider customer service as an inconvenience and didn’t bother or acknowledge my one sided conversation with them.

My partner and I went in here for lunch on New Year’s Day. It was busy as went entered the building. we walked straight to the counter as we couldn’t use the machine as we had a special request which was chips with no salt. I waited at the counter for 15 minutes without being served. I asked for someone to serve me and they said they will be with me as soon as they could. I asked again to be served and I was told I should use the machine to order and just tell them my order number and they will ensure I get chips with no salt. I done that and waited another 20 minutes for my food to arrive. The food arrived and the chips were salty!!

The Malteser Mcflurry was lovely this time, cold and actually had the chocolate sauce included but sadly the fries and big tasty were also cold which surprised me as they were very busy when I visited the drive through and I only live a 4 minutes drive away....a cold McDonald’s is not exactly tasty!!!!!

I wish this place would read the orders! It’s a real shame. In the 5 times I’ve ordered food from here they have always got something wrong!

Impressed with the sig burger bbq edition. Served in a nice sleeve and box and a really delicious. Had the cheese bites which were awesome but only five came which I would like to have seen ten. Service was good. Clean.

Unfortunately my 6 year old wanted a McDonald’s for her Birthday dinner. Order was very basic, still had to go back to the till twice as they got it wrong. A thoroughly underwhelming dreadful meal. Never again..

Just fundamentally awful, always is, never have anything cooked, ever, always have to wait for “2 mins” in the parking bay, always sit there for 15, always forgotten about. McDonalds need to take a close look at this franchisee, manager has an attitude.

Although there were a number of people waiting in the queue, that queue was to order as the card payments were down. Hence preparing food would have been easy. Yet although the it was marked as ready to collect, only part of the order was ready and that hot food was little more than tepid by the time the drink and the sundae had been prepared. (In all fairness she was busy talking to another staff member about a mutual friend apparently.) The sundae, another sloppy bit of service - yet another who think splashing the strawberry sauce around is the way to coat the inside. Please learn this also makes the outside sticky and is not the way it is taught.

This McDonalds has recently been refurbished & now has good seating area upstairs! Staff are more friendly and service has also improved!

Called in for our morning coffee as we do every morning for a change we were served by a very pleasant member which i have to be frank makes a change, for once are order was correct....could this be the day that they actually get it right?? well we both had the drinks we ordered...full cups as well...things are looking better!! oh no wait...my cappuccino is stone cold again!!! trip to Costa tomorrow i think!!

Every time we visit this McDonalds and order, they always get the order wrong. Items are normally missing or not as we asked for. Will not be using this site anymore. Don't even try and call them to discuss it as they just wont answer their phones!

Attentive staff even when busy, food was tasty and quick even though there were many customers. Would recommend. Only downside would be the parking.

Kids asked for a Happy Meal, so took them here. Found a table easily enough. Food was what you’d expect to get (edible and freshly cooked but this isn’t the Savoy!!!). Place was clean.

Yet again poor , ordered a wrap without the gross soggy lettuce and it came apon eating it I found that the had put lettuce in but then taken it out so there was half lettuce and half none poor as usual very disappointed

This Mcdonalds feels like it`s been squeezed into a tight corner! Seating is limited, toilets are located upstairs which is a bit inconvenient especially as there is no seating area upstairs!

On several occasions prior to this morning I have used this McDonald's through the drive through but always having to check the bags for the correct items and if they had left anything out, today I walked in hoping that this would avoid that situation but I was wrong I ordered a breakfast wrap with brown sauce and double checked the receipt for brown sauce I then got my food and came home with it I opened the bag and they had yet again messed up a order and given me ketchup not brown sauce , numerous times my orders get misplaced messed up and wrong in general I am no longer going to be using this store and go to another one that can provide the right service and better quality of their food

Ordered late at night in drive thru, and was surprised at how fast the service was given it was cooked to order. Friendly staff, and overall nice burger for a McDonald's

I have never had a breakfast meal that was dripping in so much grease. I took the first one back and the second wasn't much better. Really not impressed!!

Aparcamiento conveniente para este McDonalds. El sistema de pedidos es fácil de usar y rápido con la entrega a sus asientos! Limpio y agradable una renovación.

El Gran Desayuno - interrumpió el único decente y de factibilidad bancable desayuno - lo hicieron. Ahora con variaciones hamburguesa con queso y huevos de goma reciclada. Ese es uno menos al cliente para ser rápida y servicio mc D. Ah era hosco.

Stopped off for a quick breckfast then new system went down and only 1 staff serving on tills. By the time we got our breckfast they gave us cold drinks. Took back to ask for fresh ones which they did wrong. Won't bother going there again it wasn't fast food it was slow food and rubbish

Have been to this branch of McDonald's quite a few times now and every time we go they keep getting the order wrong. I use the drive thru and I makes sure I speak slowly and clearly so that the staff can hear the order and yet they still cannot get an order correct which then I have to keep going inside for them to rectify. Friday night was my last visit and what poor customer service we received and this was from a manager. I have never had such poor service from a McDonald's yet. I think a refresher on customer service skills is much needed.

McDonald's, what's going on!? 15 minutes we waited for 2 happy meals! That was all our order was. This new order and collect system is terrible, I saw/heard/spoke to not one happy customer. It was a total shambles. The milkshake tasted like it had bleach in it so I chucked it, the nuggets were close to burnt. Won't be returning. Don't bother, there is 3 other fast food places next door to this one.

The recent facelift has tidied up the service area and introduced a system for ordering on one side and collecting food from the other. On the whole this is an improvement.

great simple food for all the family at cheap prices. childrens meals are the favourites of my daughters as they can have the chicken nuggets or hamburger and they get atoy with their meal which is always why they choose the happy meal . fast service and a clean restaurant .

It is nothing special,just a fast food. Where you have to wait around 5min for a order.If you don't want to cook home, it is a good chose, because it is 24/24

We called here as we were passing and wanted something quick for dinner. We had various combinations of Big Macs meals, Filet-O-Fish, Fries & Milkshakes. Just about reasonable quality but with very little melty American cheese, and creamy tartar sauce in the Filet-O-Fish

McDonalds really never fail to fulfill my hunger strikes! Best Big Mac burger is my favourite. Definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a cheap, delicious and delicate lunch.

The usual Mcdonald's fare, however on recent visits the staff haven't been up to standards. For example, it took around 5 minutes to get some cheeseburgers which should really be ready in no longer than a couple of minutes. This might seem picky, but I have paid for my meal with a £10 note before and received 6 pound coins in change instead of just a £5 note and a pound, which is very annoying.

My mother wanted a 99p chicken burger it wasn't very well done and she didn't enjoy it. I rarely eat plastic food other than the Mcflurry. Poor for a branch of Mcdonald's. The one in RVP is better.

Staff really fast and friendly. Food was very tasty and staff were constantly cleaning and clearing tables.

I used to love to come to McDonald for breakfast. The sausage with pancake was my favorite. I went for breakfast twice recently, I must said I am disappointed. It's not the same as I used to have any more.

I went to McDonald's and ordered my meal and I was very unhappy that they don't do chicken Mcflurrys.

Mc Donald's usually has the freshest fast food but I went at 7am for breakfast and was given a lukewarm suasage and egg Mc muffin that had clearly been standing way past the 'throw it away time' as the bread was hard. The has brown was cold too and the white coffee was black and burned my mouth. Truly awful start to the day.
