McDonald's in Highland

Fui aquí el otro día porque necesitaba algo de comida antes del largo viaje de regreso a Glasgow. No me di cuenta de que iban a cerrar a las 10 de la noche esa noche y llegué, tal vez unos minutos antes (¡suerte!). Uno de los muchachos que trabajaba allí tuvo que decirle a unos 5 autos que cerraron temprano debido a un montón de fallas en las freidoras y cajas registradoras ese día y recibió un bocado de abuso por parte de algunos autos llenos de idiotas. El miembro del personal se disculpó claramente, pero eso nunca es lo suficientemente bueno para estas personas. Al salir, uno de los muchachos en el coche le gritó C *** al miembro del personal, así que mi amigo y yo les gritamos porque es un comportamiento tan infantil.¡De todas formas! Tuvimos una pequeña charla con el miembro del personal y la chica que nos trajo la comida y les agradecimos por hacer nuestro pedido. Si está tan preocupado por no conseguir su precioso McDonald's, entonces tiene MUCHOS problemas.

La semana pasada visitamos nuestros macdonalds locales. Al acercarnos a la puerta, nos dijeron que solo había comida para llevar, aunque había mesas disponibles en el interior. La señora que nos habló fue amable y nos explicó que podíamos sentarnos afuera pero no adentro, dijo que solo estaba siguiendo las reglas que el gerente le había dicho, lo cual estaba totalmente bien. Mientras hacíamos nuestro pedido y nos sentamos afuera esperando, llegó un grupo de niños pequeños y se les ofreció una mesa dentro de la cual pensamos que era extraño ya que nos habían rechazado. Cuando recibimos nuestra comida, nuestra bandeja se dejó caer sobre la mesa y la chica se alejó de inmediato, lo que pensamos que no fue muy amigable. Nuestra comida estuvo bien y todo fue correcto, pero a medida que avanzaba nuestro viaje, el personal todavía dejaba entrar a más personas, pero no entendíamos por qué nos dijeron que nos sentáramos afuera ya que teníamos máscaras listas y desinfectadas antes de la entrada. Llegó la lluvia, así que tuvimos que huir e ir a otro lugar, pero lo más extraño es cómo otros 3 niños fueron rechazados justo cuando nos íbamos. Estos chicos tenían nuestra edad y los conocíamos. ¿Los adolescentes no pueden ir ahora a macdonalds? Esto también sucedió hoy nuevamente cuando 6 niños fueron rechazados. Les dieron una mesa pero les dijeron que se fueran. Absolutamente una vergüenza rechazar a los clientes que parecían inofensivos. A estos chicos se les dio una mesa afuera como nos habían dado, afortunadamente estaba soleado para ellos. Pero mientras comían, a otros se les permitió entrar, ¿por qué? ¿Por qué estos niños tienen mala fama en macdonalds? ¿Es realmente justo que se juzgue a los niños porque yo hice mal?

I ordered 3 burgers for takeaway, however when I backed home, I was surprised they didn’t put my Big Mac in the bag. I only got 2 burgers but I paid the full price. Terrible

Very busy when we were in and not a great deal of room in the seating area. Food was what was to be expected from a McDonalds. We enjoyed it with no complaints.

This is one of the better McDonald’s because the food is great and it’s clean plus the service is mega fast.

Went for lunch here with two three year old family members who are very hyper. Rick was friendly, patient and chatty with them, so happy and helped us get them to finish all of their happy meals, entertained them and then offered them each a balloon afterwards. Amazing and helpful man

After our day out my wife and me got a great meal at McDonalds. Love the quality and usually always the same. No complaints here!!

Twice in 2 days they failed to deliver on a bacon double cheese burger. The first one was stone cold. The next day I tried again. Couldn't get a seat in the restaurant as it was full of kids taking all the tables so had to park in the premier inn. Took meal back and found NO bacon on my bacon double cheese. They did refund, but to make a mess of this twice in 24 hrs??? Not recommended.

It's clean, it's cheap and it's tasty. That's enough for me!! McFlurry on a hot sunny day went down very well.

came in with my family at a very busy period 1.30pm today just as a coach load of people arrived. The staff were extremely proficient in dealing with the huge queues and Tom in particular was very polite, friendly and even took time to welcome the guests when dealing with the queue and helped several foreign customers. All the staff i could see were working very hard. Very impressive!

what can you say, it's mcdonalds. We do eat here, enjoy it and will continue to do so. Quick and cheap as always, good if tired out from a long day enjoying yourself. Coffee is good too

Estaba con mi familia para una visita nocturna. El personal, especialmente Rick, fue super atento y la habilidad de servicio al cliente es mucho más que excelente. went here for a few sausage egg mcmuffin meals etc and was told via the intercom by a polish voice that they stopped serving breakfast at 10.30. i looked at the clock on the car snd my watch and i said its only 10.23. sorry sir our clocks say its past 10.30 was the reply. really rude and couldnt care less...so i drove home hungry and just b4 i got out of the car the 10.30 news came on the radio...so my clock wasnt wrong after all...

Acabo de llamar, un grupo de 7 niños escolares y 2 miembros del personal después de un día de 10 horas, 6 horas en un minibús y que necesitan un bocado rápido antes de la última etapa de nuestro viaje. Siempre llevamos a los alumnos de camino a casa después de un viaje escolar para un regalo. Todos ordenaron y pagaron por su comida y cuando nos sentamos a comer, el gerente vino y les pidió a los niños que se fueran. Ninguna razón dada. Al ver esto, les dije a los niños que se quedaran donde estaban y fui a preguntarle cuál era el problema. Dijo que de vez en cuando tenían una política de expulsar a los jóvenes y que había carteles que informaban de esto. Admitió que no estaban siendo antisociales e incluso cuando se dio cuenta de que estaban acompañados por personal, no cambiaría su postura. Estaba lloviendo afuera, éramos responsables de los alumnos y cuando lo señalamos y que tendríamos que irnos también, su actitud era que dependía de nosotros. ¡Difícil! Increíble actitud de una compañía que apunta a los adolescentes a los que vender, les quita su dinero y los saca a la calle en la lluvia para comérselo. Lo extraño fue que teníamos un grupo en la noche anterior también después de otro viaje escolar y se les permitió quedarse. Vamos a tomar esta nueva marca. sin error.

Why when you order a large chips do you tend to fill them half way pretty much every time. Also why do you charge for a bag when it's made out of paper and it has your logo on?

Getting into this place is hard. You have to cross over out going traffic to go to the drive through, that being said staff really good coffee hot and ice creams good. Well done.

For fast food and drinks it is perfect. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. The place was clean and close to the shops.

This is just a typical McDonalds but well run and very popular indeed. Probably could do with being bigger but the computer ordering system worked well and service was speedy.

A good McDonalds as things go. On of Hundreds I’ve been to in many countries. The staff are friendly and effective. The podiums don’t allow you to get a free student cheeseburger so it meant queuing up at the counter, but order placed there wasn’t a long wait for food, even with the special grills asked for.

Questo Mac è davvero troppo piccolo e dispone di pochissimi posti a sedere, oltretutto è sempre pieno; a dispetto di ciò va però riconosciuto che nonostante il locale fosse pieno il servizio è stato veloce ed efficiente.

I had been hill walking most of the day in 30 degree heat and arrived in Fort William after 8pm feeling too sticky to go into a fancy restaurant but desperate for some food. The answer was reliable McDonalds. It was busy but I ordered using the interactive board and paid for everything so just had to wait a little until the food was ready. It's very conveniently located just off the main road along the loch side and you don't have to go into the town centre. There is car parking of course, and more just across the road at Morrisons supermarket. I had my usual quarter pounder with fries and coke and an apple pie. It was up to the usual standard.

We are Americans now resident in Scotland. We ate frequently at this McDonald's outlet while living nearby, and have returned a number of times while passing through Fort William after having moved further north. This McD's provides food as close to the American version as one can expect, thus helping satisfy our occasional itch for American fast food, and its staff have been uniformly helpful and friendly. The place has always been packed whenever we've been there.

When you are from the US, it is sometimes hard to get used to the fact that the shops close at 5 pm and you can't get ice cream anywhere. And then you find McDonald's...

Macdonalds is what it is and generally offers a consistently good standard. This location was better in the service offered was consistently friendly and efficient. We visited on three occasions over a long weekend, primarily for coffees and once for a breakfast roll. On each occasion it was clean, efficient and welcoming.

Lovely team, nice restaurant. Free parking for a quick visit to the Old Fort William. In the restaurant you can order on a terminal and pay. When choosing for side 1 or 2, they will bring it to your table.

Ate here on 2 nights during our break in Fort William. Food was served quickly but obviously staff don't listen to what you are ordering as on both nights the order was wrong and had to be returned and replaced. What a waste of food. Must say this is happening in lots of their establishments.

Staff were so nice and food was as you would expect in Maccas! Good for Wifi before we ventured on our highland journey.

Car park small but seems to work ok. It was heaving was the building and we thought we were going to be ages we used the self serving station to order. We both used the toilet facilities which were clean though hardly room to move and no toilet roll. When we returned our order was ready. Good job we checked order as a missing item but we were impressed with the speed and efficiency of the staff. All of which were polite and willing to help. Thanks

We were here for a coffee break and the coffee was great. Also the restaurant was very clean, which is not always the case at Mc Donalds. Close to Morrissons supermarket, so you cannot miss it ! Friendly staff !! Very helpful

This place can get really busy with a lot of travellers in and out of the highlands stopping by to either eat or use their restrooms! They have multiple ordering machines along with service counters, but it can still get crowded. Service takes average time given the high density, but can't complain about warm comfort food and a roof over your head.

This McDonald is just a few steps away from the Premiere Inn so makes itself convenient for travelers. The menu is basically the same as McDonald's around the world so you know in advance exactly what you are going to get before you get to the counter. This particular outlet features a touch-screen ordering system which allows customers in a rush to by-pass the busy counter area. Seating seemed limited.

Very busy restaurant. Used the self service touch screen to order lunch. Ate lunch outside as so busy inside. Standard of meal was same as any other McDonalds

I visited this mcdonald's at breakfast time, the girl who served me was, i believe eastern European, she was very nice but she spoke very broken English and it was very difficult to get her to understand what i wanted i repeated myself about four times, the order came it was wrong AGAIN, although this is an ongoing theme with Maccy's everywhere. when i explained the order was wrong, they changed it..........it was wrong again.......i gave up.

One of the friendliest McDonald's I've ever experienced. I had sausages and pancakes and it was yummy. The lady there cleared our tray and wished us a safe journey. Great ☺️

Needed a quick Breakfast before a 2 hour drive. Quick, hot food, and hot coffee. Drive through was quiet and quick. Screen was not working properly so couldn't see our order but it was repeated back and correct at the window.

The staff have absolutely shocking attitudes especially Samantha one of the staff even told me I couldn't sit down!! Where else am I going to eat my lunch. I'm in there paying and I'm not allowed a seat‍♀️

I was forced to visit McDonald's in Fort William in May 2016, you know what to expect, it's a McDonald's. The reason this gets a 'poor' instead of 'terrible' is because it was the first one I'd been to with it's self serve screens which were quite cool.

You could say all McDonald's are the same but the service here and tidiness makes this location truly stand out. Right off the manager Samantha asked if she could help us as we checked out the nifty automated order system. We selected some fun menu items not found on our American menu and ordered at the counter. I think the most impressive thing about UK McDonald's is the attention they pay to keeping tables tidy and bringing your food to the table (by zone no less). The States could take a lesson from this. Samantha asked how our food was and if we needed anything, again super pleasant. We would certainly recommend the location and can't speak for the drive thru but everything else made a simple fast-food lunch a great experience.

went to the drive through , which is an ordeal in itself trying to get the server to understand by repeating yourself over and over , was served quickly enough by fairly cheery staff , yet again no mcflurry machine or milk shake machine working , WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING HERE!!!!!! EVERY TIME , anyway got home to find 2 lots of chips missing and 2 dips plus got a 3 pce chicken select despite ordering a meal , anyway back into the restaurant with cold food and flat coke and asked for my order again and to have it right this time , to be fair it was dealt with quickly and when i got home they had only forgotten the chilli dips this time so close enough , to be honest the food was pretty crap tho , wilted soggy chips and 1/2 as many as you would expect , and a big mac that looked like it had already been eaten and sh@t back into the box , the chicken selects were ok tho and the kids seemed happy enough with their stuff despite not getting their mcflurrys or milkshakes on such a hot sunny day too........not worth all the hassle tho...eat somewhere else.....

This is possibly the nicest cheeriest + friendliest McDonalds I've ever been to! We stopped off for Breakfast on the way up to Camusdarroch after a 2 hour drive from Glasgow. The staff were so polite, happy + helpful and the whole place had a really chilled atmosphere, well done to the staff! The local McDonalds staff around our area are quite miserable!

McDonald's An Aird Fort William best ever. This is a franchise and a real pleasure to visit. Staff in very smart uniforms, on arrival welcomed by greeter the lovely Samantha with a very warm welcome and advice if paying by cash - to the counter - or by card to computer ordering point where order is brought to the table. No queuing, very efficient, clean and the food, chicken legend meal deal was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and "on the ball". They obviously take a pride in their service and establishment.

Très mauvaise expérience dans ce macdo où nous avons atterris faute de mieux. Pas de serviettes, boissons au goût indéfinissable, sauces douteuses, service à côté de la plaque... Et au retour, une sensation désagréable de mauvais repas qui m'est resté sur l'estomac.

It's McDonald's. They're all the same aren't they? Only time I've ever been to this restaurant has been a Saturday and, needless to say, it was very busy so you'll be lucky to get a seat and car park is just pure chaos. It's one way and very small; even saw a dafty going round the wrong way! I would suggest parking in one of the neighbouring car parks and walking over. Restaurant was refurbished about a year ago (self serve terminals etc) which appears to have reduced seating area other than that it's the same madness.

Great spot to stop and get normal American food! After six days in Scotland, my girlfriend and I were ready for some American food. Restaurant was clean and the service was very good. Just a head's up, my girlfriend loves McDonald's coffee, they don't have coffee creamer anywhere in the country it seems! Only milk.... It is interesting to see how McDonald's in other countries do things. You can order off a machine instead of going up to the counter. Crazy!

The local McDonald's is EXACTLY thw same as every other McDonald's across the country. The food is of SUCH a basic level that you only go there if you want a basic burger and fries. But teenagers LOVE it! It's the sort of place where you go to "see and be seen". The facts are; Food - basic, Brownie Points - massive.

Let's face it, if you are starving and you are looking for a quick snack then this is fine once in a blue moon but as for more than that forget it.The 'fries' were likewarm and the carton they came in was 1/3 empty. Disgraceful really.The chicken burger (the premium one in an oval ciabatta like roll) looked quite nice but even it was on the lukewarm side.As mentioned this place is ok if you are starving but otherwise give it a miss. Go home and flip a burger instead.

Ich war von der Qualität der Speisen in diesem McDonald's nicht überzeugt. Der Quarterpounder mit Käse war trocken und lauwarm und die Pommes waren leider nicht knusprig. Das Lokal ist am Abend ein Treffpunkt der lokalen Jugend. Ich würde nicht mehr hierhin kommen.

We stopped here to have a quick bit of something to eat as we were peckish. The food is the standard for this fast food chain. The place seemed clean and the toilets were also clean.

A clean McDonalds offering the usual fayre. However the first McDs I have been in with table service, so gets an extra star for that! Nice place, very convenient for Fort William, Ben Nevis etc.

I visited this McDonald's restaurant on a Thursday morning so I could go in and get a latte. I got my latte and I sat down at a table. The staff that I had I encountered up to this point were very friendly but as I was sitting down at the table this horrible manager by the name of Sean sat down beside me and started harassing me about my appearance and he was saying all of these frightful words that I can't possibly type out. This man belongs in a mental hospital, not the manager of a McDonald's restaurant. Eventually this disturbed man was escorted away by other members of staff however this whole experience has ruined my fond memories of McDonalds from when I was a child. I do not intend to visit a McDonalds restaurant ever again!!! An angry review by James Hepburn

McDonalds are much of a muchness. They are meant to be. But this one does seem a wee bit friendlier than most. I usually get a nice smile when I walk in, and it's genuine. And once I was sitting next to some people who were seaking in Gaelic.That made my day.

Have been here a few times now and I've got to say it is the most friendly McDonalds I have ever experienced.The service is quick, with a smile and you really think that the staff enjoy what they are doing and are pleased to serve you.

Went to the drive through and ordered breakfast before a long journey and was surprised how good the customer service was. Been to a few mcdonalds over the years and the High level of customer service stood out. The food was what you would expect as well. Overall a happy customer.

What can you say,other than it is convenient and food was standard fayre. Seating was comfortable and wifi good.

McDonald's in Fort William has a fantastic service and quick ordering system. It has free wifi and has 2 different eating and serving areas.
