McDonald's in Leeds

Understand that this store gets to see the worst party crowd...but there is no need to be rude and providing substandard food for the same cost. She literally threw the dips at me..!

100% worthwhile visiting and definitely a 5 ⭐ rating!! I absolutely love McDonald's, especially when they have the "Monopoly Game" going on. They have incredibly tasty food at very reasonable prices. My daughter is also obsessed with McDonald's, lol 🤣. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested, even if the Monopoly Game isn't on.

Waited ages and patiently just to ask for a spoon as it was really busy.When the lady at the counter was finally free i said "excuse me sorry, can i just get a spoon please" For her to say "Ask him" to the guy next to her. I then asked her to ask him as ive been waiting and hes now busy. For her to tell me again to ask him, then proceeds to ignore me. Then had to wait to get the guys attention even though they were doing the same job. so i don't get why she couldn't just grab me a spoon considering she was the person who never gave me one. Rude staff minus the guy who eventually gave me a spoon

Terrible service, possibly due to youth and poor staff experience.

Food ok but floor service on state outlet poor. Toilets unclean, gents locked and queue for disabled but no reason to say why.Very slack.

My personal experience getting served was fine. What you’d expect from McDonald’s. However, while sat eating, I’ve been appalled by a number of staff. I understand it’s a busy period (teatime after Beckett graduations) but the behaviour and customer service is appalling, and it’s coming from the managers? (the ones in the white shirts). One man, an older gentlemen who’s job appears to be helping with the screens and that kind of thing got really arsey when someone asked for help, because another customer had to say to him, she’s trying to get help, his response ‘well i don’t know who she’s waving at, she could be waving at anyone in here’. But my bigger issue is with the man behind the counter. He’s not wearing a name tag so I can’t give a name, but he has been repeatedly awful. I’ve heard him shouting about how he was meant to finish at 3, shouting at staff about ‘well look what needs to be done, and do it, and then everyone’s doing something’, but what’s worse is how speaks to customers. There was a young girl stood next to the counter waiting for her food, on her own, if I was to guess she was probably 7, and he looks down at her and tells her to go stand elsewhere. Sea of people cos it’s busy, she was safest there, and she was clearly not in the way, and he talks to her as if she’s an impatient adult. Then there was assumedly an international student, clearly trying to be polite but struggling with the language and he just keeps looking up to him and saying ‘say please and i’ll respond to you’. You know he’s there, you can hear him struggling, just help. Finally, a young boy came up because his order was wrong. Kid’s saying that he ordered a plain burger but it’s got cheese on and the man instantly jumps into ‘well you should’ve clicked no cheese shouldn’t you’ with a certain tone and the poor kid just stared. Like what is the kid meant to do about it, and there was no check of a receipt, for all the man knew he had. As I’ve typed this all out it’s calmed down a bit and the man then shouts ‘I feel better now, it’s cleared, I can go for a beer’. It’s just unprofessional behaviour. As someone who himself works in hospitality, I wouldn’t dream of coming across the way he does.

I enjoy Mcflurry's from McDonald's as a once in a while treat. However, every time I've been in the last few months, they haven't been available at this branch. Otherwise, it's not that great of a place to be.

It's a MacDonalds. What more is there to say, food luke warm as usual, self-service for orders. No staff around, clear your own table.

Why can't I get hot drink with meal deal?

It's not cheap anymore like before. Mainly, the quality of coffee is degraded. Service and atmosphere are good.

As always, terrible food but it is easily grabbed in limited time. Service is never great, and needs more regular cleaning, especially the toilets. It's generally missing pride within the staff, which could be helped by support and benefits from Management, and seeing is doing leadership.

It always gets me out of trouble

Waited 50 minutes… for a mayo chicken. Finally kicked up enough of a fuss they handed it to me within 10 seconds. It was sat there for literally 30 minutes doing nothing. Shocking service

Went and needed to pay with Cash, the woman behind the counter ignored me stood there, then another person asked her what I was waiting for she said she didn't no the second lady asked me so I said I was waiting to order and the first lady started with an attitude ignoring me saying "well how am I supposed to know" " I'm not a mind reader"... Absolutely shocking attitude. What would have been polite would have just been a little "hi, can I help with anything"

It was ok, about average for a McDonald's.

McDonald's is a good restaurant for food and drinks. The services are given in a professional and friendly manner. I would recommend them to anyone.

Needs closing down I wouldn't feed to my dog. Not real food I'm just offended I don't eat McDonald's nor have I for years I would drink the drinks or eat the mc flurries but other then that.... they should be sent to jail for killing us with there poison and feeding us Fertiliser made from human faeces and urine

Exceptional service at McDonald’s Merrion St, Leeds! During a busy lunch hour, I had an issue with the self-service kiosk not printing my receipt. Van noticed my situation and kindly helped resolve it quickly. Her professionalism and kindness made a big difference. Thank you, Van!

Paid for two large meals, one burger with an extra patty, chips came half full, no drinks, no extra patty, it's not that difficult.

A lady called kareen, was a massive help as my sister had spilt a whole bottle of juice in her bag and kareen got her a new bag so she could transfer her things over, thanks kareen for your kindness

I love maccas, they need to teach their staff about hygiene though as a oldish woman, short, chubby and wears glasses was literally scraping her armpit and just carried on working, she didn't wash her hands 🤢🤢 so that put me off my meal. But apart from that love this maccas. Every time I've ordered online from this maccas they have got every order wrong, from wrong drink and no drinks to cold fries and burgers that have been thrown together. If they actually took a couple extra seconds this maccas could be great.

Why can they not serve fast food fast?

Every single time we order from here we have numerous items missing. Don’t take money from customers if you’re not willing or able to provide the items that have been purchased.

Ordered a sausage and egg mc muffin meal at the till they tilled my order wrong so I didn't get the hash brown when I tried to explain this to them they refused to give me the hash brown and were incredibly rude. Will not be returning to that branch.

It's a fast food place! Full of teens whenever I've been in. It can get a bit fraught and occasionally the atmosphere's been a bit tense. Thankfully you don't need to be in there long.

24hr McDonalds except milkshakes are always unavailable. They also wont let you eat inside after 10pm it seems.

Shocking, as a smoked haddock myself the filet of fish was atrocious. I wouldn’t have even fed it to my chicken friend in my profile photo. P.s he’s dead. Had me vomiting in the coral reef down bottom of my tank for 4 hours straight not to mention the explosive diarrhoea I encountered on the way. I think I have salmonella now. Good atmosphere though there was a banging D&B rave on

I ordered a hot chocolate and an apple pie - they came 15 minutes later. They were nice, but people ordering a proper meal got their food before us.

Bog standard city centre fast food joint. A few more feral youths a bit intimidating for some. Security seem only to be around late at night for crowd control.

I really hope this is seen by head office. So I was with my son on Saturday (2nd Nov) and we decided to eat in. Firstly as I was by myself with my son I couldn’t leave our table to get my query answered so it was lucky I managed to ask a staff member that was passing me by delivering food to other people. I think her name was Chanel (sorry for the spelling if it’s wrong) and she was an absolute legend. She sorted my McFlurry reward out and swapped my burger which was incorrectly given to me. She did everything with a smile and was super quick which was a massive plus considering it was lunch time. Please pass this thanks on to her or recognise her accordingly because she saved our experience from being bad, twice! In terms of a full review the toilets were small and got a hammering and there isn’t a lot of tables about. There is also some small tables at the side which don’t have table numbers on so if you are wanting to use your phone to book your food you’ll need to get a table number stand from the kiosks which I think is an oversight. Also, if you want a chicken Big Mac just get two chicken mayo’s plus cheese, it’ll be much cheaper.

Went in an orderd a 4:00 pm it is now 4:35 pm and my food has only just come it is supposed to be already food could have ordered a Nando’s and eaten it by this time it’s shocking honestly I’m flabbergasted z😡😡😡

We called in to day as we do every two weeks today was very disappointing the food was ok the large hot drink I ordered was in a large cup but the contents where of a medium cup. How ever the mail toilet was an absolute disgrace the toilet was blocked with toilet paper and one of the urinalys was the same and toilet paper all over the floor. The floor in restaurant it's self had food such as fries and chicken nuggets To name but a few other things . This restaurant used to be clean and tidy. I don't think I'll be using again .

Saturday in Leeds is McDonald's day for lunch,we had2 wraps and2 capachinos the wraps were very nice,the capachinos were not hot The table service was very quick,the place was busy so some tables were not cleaned straight away and some rubbish on the floor,there was great pressure on the staff to keep the place clean and tidy!!!

Most McDonald's meet the same standards - that is sort of the point! I dropped in for a cheeky milkshake after a dinner out. It was pretty quiet, the staff were working hard and my drink arrived quickly. Special thanks to the lady on the front desk who gave me a second straw when I asked - I don't think a single paper straw is enough for a large milkshake and she agreed with that.

Avoid like the plague! Burnt offerings, dripping in grease, and smelly pork patties, needs closing down, health hazard.

I was harassed by the security guards at this McDonald’s coming back late from the university. I came with my friend and I got my food before her and he started yelling at me to go outside. I said it was nighttime and I didn’t feel safe to stand outside alone without my friend and he continued yelling at me, threatening me and went to call for backup. I was so scared because these are grown men yelling at me and the McDonald’s didn’t have many people in it so I didn’t see the problem with waiting for my friend so we can safely walk home at night together. I also didn’t feel safe to go outside because the security guard immediately started yelling and threatening me so I didn’t know what would happen if I went with them in the dark. If you’re a woman, I urge you to have a buddy or completely avoid this McDonald’s, I was shaking the whole night and felt like I was gonna be attacked as I left.

Worst MacDonlands i ever tried. Their fries are not cooked and very oily. The burger was raw and uncooked as well. Disgusting, please send audits to review this branch.

Wonderful place for foody person

I had come into your store last night with a group party. A friend was so upset and the bouncer matty? His fast reactions and good thinking got my self and my friends safe and I’m very thankful for it. Unfortunately I’m not in Leeds for another few months. Please give matty our thanks. Great place to have wholesome budget food

The service that was provided was shocking there was nothing good to say about this McDonald’s the staff in particular Steven was extremely rude and shown no customer service skills at all whatsoever. Whilst asking for more sauce he proceeded to shout infront of my face that I was not allowed the sauce that I had paid for. This McDonald’s is a waste of money and time if you wish to experience a good time I highly do not reconvened attending here and specifically being served by Steven.

Cold tea and reheated chips not good

Management had no organisation gave someone the wrong order of someone else's and just threw all the food in the bin even thos it didn't leave the kitchen, was very rude and none of the staff came over to help and ignored my partner.

If you can't make a mccrisey in a reasonable time then don't make one at all, not mad just dissappointed

Staff was so rude when approached inquiring about the order they were rude and ignored us and when approached again claimed the order wasn’t ours when it turns out they got it wrong and didn’t apologise for the rude attitude.

It's a McDonald's. Saying that, food is always consistently good, restaurant is clean, staff are attentive and helpful. Atmosphere is what you'd expect. A few screaming children and giggling teens but nothing obnoxious.

Its McD's so you know what youre getting, however just be aware that at night it can get a little intimidating in and around this location, which is why they have security in place. I know this area well and have been in many times, seen some sights. Note also that after a certain time they do not allow eating in, its take out only. Keep your wits about you.
