McDonald's in Leeds

Probably the worst restaurant Ive ever ate in the country. I had the most disgusting experience anyone could imagine in this McDonald’s. Historic !

I know it’s a McDonald’s but it was very surprising how quick the service was, staff all around for help, very clean as again the staff were constantly cleaning tables because there was a show on in the arena opposite so it was absolutely packed but the weight wasn’t long at all once you had ordered on the machines, Toilets were clean as well and like I said very polite stuff when asked for help when our machine didn’t print off a paper receipt

Tried to order 3 items, ended up waiting for 30mins for them to call out the number only for the bag of food to be found above the fries station.

Unfair and Discriminatory Treatment 种族歧视🤬 We had a frustrating experience at this McDonald's. The printer went out of paper so we just memorize the order number. When picking up our order, the staff insisted we say the exact names of the items. Meanwhile, other customers (who were white) collected their food without being asked the same. It’s normal not to remember the exact names, but when we clearly said we ordered a burger, fries, and water, the staff still refused to give us our food. We even showed them our bank transaction record, including the exact time of purchase, which could have helped them match our order. However, the staff claimed they didn’t know the prices and refused to check. They insisted that unless we stated the full English name of the burger, they wouldn’t give us our food. This kind of unreasonable and unfair treatment is unacceptable. McDonald's should ensure all customers are treated equally, regardless of their background.

Just a McDonald's but friendly staff and hot food

If you are a homeless person, its great, you can hang out and beg in store and staff leave you alone, you can take over the toilets as your own personal bathroom and make yourself at home. If you are a paying customer, go to the burger king down stairs thats just opened, its cleaner and they appreciate your business.

I asked for a strawberry milkshake to which the staff member said the machine was out of order. I then proceeded to watch another customer walk out with a milkshake, despite being told the machine wasn’t working. I would appreciate if the staff members would treat the customers equally.

It's McDonald's. Basic and bland food as usual. Was in town for a dance competition and used McDonald's as the usual convinenece food.

It's a light fill up if you like this type of fast food

Very busy and dirty but staff were trying their hardest to clean up after people.

Genuinely astonishing lack of care. 45 minutes to get food - I don't think I would have got it all without the help the independent security guards - a site this busy needs much better management- Genuinely surprised how bad this was. Food was as expected- service was unbelievably bad

Not fast Not Cheap Poor quality. Time for a change..

I came for a quick bite to eat between drinks, and got myself a quarter pounder with cheese meal. Service was really quick for my meal, we did have a vegetarian friend with us and his meal took a bit longer, so beware of that! Despite the quick service, the food looked more like the pictures than the McDonald's I have locally. And it's always affordably priced.

After ordering we were stood there for well over 10 mins waiting for the food. My main meal was ok however the gave me a hot chocolate instead of a latte. The girl behind the counter exchanged this quickly. My son's hamburgers were ordered as plain but came with sauce and pickles. The bottom of the box on my daughter's happy meal opened up and the chips poured out. I gave 3 stars for service as the girl who saved us and exchanged the coffee was lovely, really polite and helpful.

It's a busy branch. That means lots of customers and quite a lot of staff. None of which are going round cleaning. Well, not during my visit. The Gents stink and are certainly not very clean. Well below the usual standards.

Good apart from the unhelpful old woman on the till. They make it really hard for people who haven't got a card to pay.

Poor as rewards let down again no Mcflurry available again ( a regular occurrence) together with no ketchup machine no additional serviettes,

Order a kids meal for my little girl but it only had 3 chicken nuggets when there was supposed to be 4

McDonald's has always been good! But the toilets are worse these days! Maybe It's because the place of this restaurant which is beside the busy road (leeds city centre) and people using the toilets as public toilets, most of the toilet users are not the customers! Authorities should keep an eye on the cleanliness of toilets.

Asgar and Kath go the extra mile for their customers. The app was playing up when trying to redeem a voucher, which obviously isn't their fault, but they made the whole process painless and got me sorted quickly and with a smile. I'll be back.

Wrong food didn’t realise till I got home and opened box since box said 5 selects when I looked in bag, I never go McDonald’s but was really craving selects today u guys ruined my whole year absolutely devastated gonna cry myself to sleep tonight 😭 im lactose intolerant and u guys gave me hella cheese what am I supposed to do now?

Staff provided great service, the food was brilliant and it seemed crowded when i went in as i would say it's got a very busy astmosphere.

Perfectly acceptable maccies. Not breaking boundaries but at 1am who cares.

Always been a great place for food in town if you just fancy something to eat. Staff is quick and neat and clean environment.

A busy 24 hours restaurant without proper cleaning and maintenance, though it is not far from Arena. Food is still ok but ventilation needs improving and the ketchup machine is out of order. The floor and tables need deep cleaning.

All members are very amicable & the service is always fast. The food is budget friendly. Can be considered for Value for Money..!

100% worthwhile visiting and definitely a 5 ⭐ rating!! I absolutely love McDonald's, especially when they have the "Monopoly Game" going on. They have incredibly tasty food at very reasonable prices. My daughter is also obsessed with McDonald's, lol 🤣. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested, even if the Monopoly Game isn't on.

Waited ages and patiently just to ask for a spoon as it was really busy.When the lady at the counter was finally free i said "excuse me sorry, can i just get a spoon please" For her to say "Ask him" to the guy next to her. I then asked her to ask him as ive been waiting and hes now busy. For her to tell me again to ask him, then proceeds to ignore me. Then had to wait to get the guys attention even though they were doing the same job. so i don't get why she couldn't just grab me a spoon considering she was the person who never gave me one. Rude staff minus the guy who eventually gave me a spoon

Terrible service, possibly due to youth and poor staff experience.

Food ok but floor service on state outlet poor. Toilets unclean, gents locked and queue for disabled but no reason to say why.Very slack.

My personal experience getting served was fine. What you’d expect from McDonald’s. However, while sat eating, I’ve been appalled by a number of staff. I understand it’s a busy period (teatime after Beckett graduations) but the behaviour and customer service is appalling, and it’s coming from the managers? (the ones in the white shirts). One man, an older gentlemen who’s job appears to be helping with the screens and that kind of thing got really arsey when someone asked for help, because another customer had to say to him, she’s trying to get help, his response ‘well i don’t know who she’s waving at, she could be waving at anyone in here’. But my bigger issue is with the man behind the counter. He’s not wearing a name tag so I can’t give a name, but he has been repeatedly awful. I’ve heard him shouting about how he was meant to finish at 3, shouting at staff about ‘well look what needs to be done, and do it, and then everyone’s doing something’, but what’s worse is how speaks to customers. There was a young girl stood next to the counter waiting for her food, on her own, if I was to guess she was probably 7, and he looks down at her and tells her to go stand elsewhere. Sea of people cos it’s busy, she was safest there, and she was clearly not in the way, and he talks to her as if she’s an impatient adult. Then there was assumedly an international student, clearly trying to be polite but struggling with the language and he just keeps looking up to him and saying ‘say please and i’ll respond to you’. You know he’s there, you can hear him struggling, just help. Finally, a young boy came up because his order was wrong. Kid’s saying that he ordered a plain burger but it’s got cheese on and the man instantly jumps into ‘well you should’ve clicked no cheese shouldn’t you’ with a certain tone and the poor kid just stared. Like what is the kid meant to do about it, and there was no check of a receipt, for all the man knew he had. As I’ve typed this all out it’s calmed down a bit and the man then shouts ‘I feel better now, it’s cleared, I can go for a beer’. It’s just unprofessional behaviour. As someone who himself works in hospitality, I wouldn’t dream of coming across the way he does.

I enjoy Mcflurry's from McDonald's as a once in a while treat. However, every time I've been in the last few months, they haven't been available at this branch. Otherwise, it's not that great of a place to be.

It's a MacDonalds. What more is there to say, food luke warm as usual, self-service for orders. No staff around, clear your own table.

Why can't I get hot drink with meal deal?

It's not cheap anymore like before. Mainly, the quality of coffee is degraded. Service and atmosphere are good.

As always, terrible food but it is easily grabbed in limited time. Service is never great, and needs more regular cleaning, especially the toilets. It's generally missing pride within the staff, which could be helped by support and benefits from Management, and seeing is doing leadership.

It always gets me out of trouble

Waited 50 minutes… for a mayo chicken. Finally kicked up enough of a fuss they handed it to me within 10 seconds. It was sat there for literally 30 minutes doing nothing. Shocking service

Went and needed to pay with Cash, the woman behind the counter ignored me stood there, then another person asked her what I was waiting for she said she didn't no the second lady asked me so I said I was waiting to order and the first lady started with an attitude ignoring me saying "well how am I supposed to know" " I'm not a mind reader"... Absolutely shocking attitude. What would have been polite would have just been a little "hi, can I help with anything"

It was ok, about average for a McDonald's.

McDonald's is a good restaurant for food and drinks. The services are given in a professional and friendly manner. I would recommend them to anyone.

Needs closing down I wouldn't feed to my dog. Not real food I'm just offended I don't eat McDonald's nor have I for years I would drink the drinks or eat the mc flurries but other then that.... they should be sent to jail for killing us with there poison and feeding us Fertiliser made from human faeces and urine

Exceptional service at McDonald’s Merrion St, Leeds! During a busy lunch hour, I had an issue with the self-service kiosk not printing my receipt. Van noticed my situation and kindly helped resolve it quickly. Her professionalism and kindness made a big difference. Thank you, Van!

Paid for two large meals, one burger with an extra patty, chips came half full, no drinks, no extra patty, it's not that difficult.

A lady called kareen, was a massive help as my sister had spilt a whole bottle of juice in her bag and kareen got her a new bag so she could transfer her things over, thanks kareen for your kindness

I love maccas, they need to teach their staff about hygiene though as a oldish woman, short, chubby and wears glasses was literally scraping her armpit and just carried on working, she didn't wash her hands 🤢🤢 so that put me off my meal. But apart from that love this maccas. Every time I've ordered online from this maccas they have got every order wrong, from wrong drink and no drinks to cold fries and burgers that have been thrown together. If they actually took a couple extra seconds this maccas could be great.

Why can they not serve fast food fast?

Every single time we order from here we have numerous items missing. Don’t take money from customers if you’re not willing or able to provide the items that have been purchased.

A bit slow, but it was busy to be fair.

Ordered a sausage and egg mc muffin meal at the till they tilled my order wrong so I didn't get the hash brown when I tried to explain this to them they refused to give me the hash brown and were incredibly rude. Will not be returning to that branch.

It's a fast food place! Full of teens whenever I've been in. It can get a bit fraught and occasionally the atmosphere's been a bit tense. Thankfully you don't need to be in there long.

It's Maccies, the food was good, but as per usual they forgot the sauces.

24hr McDonalds except milkshakes are always unavailable. They also wont let you eat inside after 10pm it seems.

Shocking, as a smoked haddock myself the filet of fish was atrocious. I wouldn’t have even fed it to my chicken friend in my profile photo. P.s he’s dead. Had me vomiting in the coral reef down bottom of my tank for 4 hours straight not to mention the explosive diarrhoea I encountered on the way. I think I have salmonella now. Good atmosphere though there was a banging D&B rave on
