The 5th Macdonald's I have tried with the new touch screens. 3 screens did not have milkshakes on them and the 4th would not allow the order through. Using the touch screens takes much longer than human ordering plus then a long wait for the items. I'll give Macdonald's a miss from now on and go to a human interface fast food outlet.

A dump with rude unhelpful staff. No ketchup or napkins & when i finally stopped being ignored by staff the items were practically thrown at me without any words & the staff member went back to chatting to colleagues!

Appallingly dirty. Smelly dog sat with its owners right next to other diners. Sauces splattered and smeared on floors and tables. I was asked to leave a review by one of the staff who brought our food over, which is incredible considering quite how vile the place was. I’m not sure what kind of review they thought I would leave. It’s McDonald’s so the expectations are never astoundingly high, but basic hygiene (and not allowing dirty, smelly animals in where people eat) would be the baseline.

Starting to show it's age, the food was hot and OK but the tables were dirty, scratched, chairs are looking unloved.

Hit and miss when visiting you have to check you've got the food you ordered always something missing 😔

Every time I get a takeaway from here there's something missing!! Have to go back for missing items! Check before you leave.

Wow, what an absolute dump, staff just walking over waste on floor, flys around the ketchups, on the counter, old order tickets around food area, a dirty manky bin next to the serving counter!!Rubbish in most areas actually , I’m shocked, absolute disbelief, and quite honestly a health hazard. No regard for hygiene at all, considering it’s in complete view to the customers! This is not acceptable at any time of the day, but at 01:15 the place should be spotless. I may even take this further as the staff on shift need sacking… No excuses McDonald’s…this is the food industry

We have eaten McDonalds in many countries and many places in the UK. This Sandbach branch is particularly good. It wasn’t the best a couple of years ago but is the best around at present. Food is fresh, well prepared and presented as it should be. Drinks were also spot on. Couple of negatives; I would like to be offered or just given napkins as a matter of course instead of having to ask. The staff should not be turning their backs on customers whilst stood at the window and ketchup should also be offered without having to ask. All that being said, pleasant staff and most importantly, excellent food. Keep up the good work.

Bro one of the workers just threw my coke away for no reason in front of me so bad

I had to reassemble my Big Mac as it looked like it was dragged out of ground zero. The kid doing the chips was squeezing the card boxes so tight barely any chips fit in, then he proceeded to put them in the bag upside down. The oasis was too cold, my girlfriend was crying.

Worst McDonalds ever. Usually their food is something reliable. But this one is really bad. Chips & Chicken Nuggets are completely tasteless, McChicken and McVeggie were way too spicy. Disappointing…

It's Mcdonald's so you get the service and atmosphere as expected, but the food was awful the fries were either bity and crisp or just limp. Not the long bouquet they advertise. Also got tummy issues soon after

Very helpful staff which is a bit of a rarity in McDonald's and this was the first McDonald's I have been to where they didn't get the order wrong, well done

Food is good. The restaurant gets very busy with coach trips.

Soulless, bland food, filthy surroundings, typical motorway service fast food stop.

Yummy breakfast bap. Poor service which could be much faster if organised properly. My food, along with a lot of other's, sat for ages while the server made loads of drinks - not to go with the food but for individuals. Then when he'd finished making drinks he served those first. I know there is an order to this service by why make the food so quickly if you then have to wait an age for delivery?

I like Premier Inn as I've stayed in a few and have never had any issues with them. Good value for money. This location is ideal location when attempting the NC500 and for visiting John OGroats and Dunnet Head

Absolute joke been waiting for door for 1 hour 20 and the orders then disappeared off the board. 30 mins to get a refund just escaped the parking charge. Sort your restaurant out McDonald's. Please feel free to contact me.

Waited 20mins till I walked out. Staff where slow, looking like they couldn't give a care in the world. Never bothered to serve me at the till when they clearly new I was there as 2 of them spotted me. Walked out.

On my way to manchester this afternoon we went into the motorway services to grab some lunch, and had an extremely fulfilling experience!! We ordered two meals and were impressed by not only the service of the young girl, Scarlett, on the counter, but also by the manners presented by Scarlett and her coworkers, who brought to me amazing food at an amazing speed. All in all, a most pleasant dining experience.

Nice server but I would expect a 24/7 Maccies to serve food 24 hours a day, not just drinks. Nothing stated on Google about a lack of food or at the shop front. Had to be told by staff. Would expect them to still be serving at 11pm

Service bit slow but was very busy. Food hot and edible.

Ordered no cheese in my burger because of dietary needs. Burger came out with cheese DESPITE the box saying no cheese!!

Absolutely brilliant, I would highly recommend this branch, fast service, pleasant staff, food was excellent - I can honestly say this is the first time ever at a mcdonalds restaurant I have been served HOT fries, I was exceedingly impressed - well done to everyone working there, fabulous team

Had a hamburger and chips which came quickly but was asked to eat out rather than dining in. Chips were good but hamburger was a bit dry

Quite crowded and the staff seem a bit overworked, but the behavior is nice.

If you can’t do (or more likely, can’t be bothered to do) McFlurries or milkshakes, put a sign up so people don’t queue for 15 minutes only to be turned away. Jokers.

Sauces had run out, no table was clean

I'm old fashioned, I prefer to go to the counter to order food, Only option I could see was the touch screen, and because of this I walked away from ordering food

I cannot stand this "food". It's disgusting, tasteless and hasn't improved over the years. Oh, and I've not stepped foot into a McDonald's in over 20 years leaves me baffled as to why I'm being asked to leave a review.

Genuinely dreadful. Tried ordering at the counter because we’ve had previous bad experiences here with the self-service kiosks. The woman at the till had absolutely no idea how to use the till, where products were located or how to make modifications. It took ten minutes to order, and that was after her manager had to come over and essentially redo it all for us. It was still fairly quiet at this point, but once she’d bagged up our burgers, she realised she hadn’t cooked any chips - so our food was sat waiting on the side while she sorted that. She didn’t even open the chip containers fully, so we only got half a portion! When we got our food, she then forgot to include one of the burgers - so by the time we’d gone to sort that, and given the delay because of the chips, our food was stone cold by the time we got back to the car. A few flagrant health and safety breaches too, including her choice of footwear - which appeared to be crocs, hardly the best idea if you’re working with hot oil, and the man working in the kitchen who dumped freshly cooked chicken nuggets into a tray that was already half-full and then reset the timer on the UHC, so food could be served way past when it should be binned by! The manager was extremely apologetic about the delay, but the staff he was working with were utterly shambolic and by the looks of other recent reviews, that appears to be the case most of the time. Real shame given it’s one of the only McDonalds on the M6.

Sandbach services south stopped for a coffee nice pleasant staff usual maccys fare the new menu is out there's a couple of new things sweet wise that look really nice.

Exactly as expected of fast food on a motorway service station. It was quiet when I ordered, ten minutes later there was an influx of customers.

Like any other motorway service station, Mcdonald's overpriced and under staffed. Food lukewarm and just about edible.

my order was a little wrong (though i do have a lot of stuff removed bc i’m picky) and the staff was so lovely when i went back. it was a really busy time but they were so on it and the man with the gauge piercings was super helpful and understanding <3 can’t fault them

New year's Day, but this was chaos. People waiting 45-60 mins for food. Machines didn't give receipts so we didn't know our order number. Food sat on the side getting cold while they pumped out more and more food to pile up and not go out.

the worst wrap I've ever eaten, the meat is dry, you can't eat it... the burger is disgusting and equally dry, 15 minutes of waiting for the order with one order. dirt everywhere. I never thought french fries could taste so bad

Quiet Wednesday night - order took forever, machine couldn't print receipts and the staff stole my monopoly stickers off my food. Absolute shambles - dreadful maccas.

Utter shambles of a McDonald’s - Do not bother with the table service - they just leave it on the side for you to grab - and if you are at your table and you cannot hear them, Then good luck - in return I have cold chips after going to check where my food was. And another customer had to lean over the counter to grab me a straw from behind the til after the assistant on the tills point blank ignored me when I asked her for a straw please.

Got back on the road and realised part of my order was missing. Really slow. Incomplete order.

Took far too long. We ordered via the machine and we stood waiting for around 30 minutes for the food to arrive. When we had received it some of it had been sat around so long that it was stone cold. We were in a rush so just endured eating it. I have no idea why the wait was so long as it was not that busy.

The definition of slow food. The guy actually giving orders to customers seems to have some serious motivation issues, distracted by anything other than doing his job. Joker.

The self serve machine didn't give an order number. The staff response was just wait and if there's an order not claimed by anyone else that's probably yours!!

Almost ten mins to wait for a cup of tea, No one called my number so when I ask guy said were it's was , I was told it's there I made ages ago, I will make you a new one Come on Maccys you can do so much better !

I was there last weekend you keep me waiting for about 15min waiting for food I had milkshake they was like milk when got back to have them the lady who come out with food said she could replace but at time looked OK and I was fed up waiting by then the waiting time as got bad at times hope you can improving the service

One of the worst McDonald's I have been to, my order was 22nd on list with 4 members of staff talking for ages laughing and not caring at all. Some staff came and went no one cared there was a manger drinking something just wondering about. Took over 20mins to get my order. Avoid quicker to go to next services

It's not a non-stop program...at 11:15 p.m. it was closed...we stop like crazy, those with trucks...we're wasting time'

Friendly staff. Machine printers were broken so didn’t know my order number. Not too sure if they had a cashier or not. Didn’t have to wait too long.

Clean and functional, one of the better services I've called into previously.

On the way back from Manchester, we were only going to stop once. We chose this place. It was very busy, at least 3 of the menu screens were out of order. Ordered the new steakhouse, with NO cheese, waited at least 30 minutes and had a feeling the manager had given my burger to someone else who didn't get their burger. Yep, it had cheese on it. I couldn't wait another 30 minutes, I had to scrape the cheese out. I also had chicken selects, these are normally lovely. They were terrible.

Not really a fan of the McDonald's chain of restaurants as the food that they serve is very basic, not tasty and wholesome and the service is just average, in my opinion. Would never ordinarily go for one of their burgers or any other of their products, but on this occasion both my wife and I were tired and hungry and theirs was the only eatery open on our side of the motorway. We were in a position where we were stranded and broken down awaiting assistance, so the choice of food outlets was limited because of the time of day. Would have preferred a healthier option but at nearly ten o'clock at night beggars can't be choosers.

Good value for money for a quick lunch.

As usual with most Mcdonalds food only warm, had to take the fries back to be heated up or it may of been the day someone hadn't filled up the ice cream machine, no tissues put in the bag, no apple pies had been prepared so couldn't serve me one of them, this establishment or brand is failing.

S**t, queue to the door, none of the order points working, so there's 2 poor lads running around like blue-ar**d flies trying to do everything because some accountant sat in an office told them it was a good idea to use a member of staff to take the orders at the till as opposed to letting customers do it themselves, and then having a other member of staff to fulfill orders.... Maccies in the UK are run by cretins these days, steer clear!
