McDonald's in Thanet

Had app issues that were not my fault and tried to collect breakfast once sorted 3 mins late only to be told that there was nothing that could be done so we had to go hungry on our way to a funeral:( terrible customer service!

Went through the drive thru yesterday ordered for 3 only got food for two.. check your order. Spent £60 2 weeks ago, ordered at the counter food was left on the side until we asked where it was. Food was cold. Complained online and no response!

It's a McDonald's. What else is there to say about it. It's best to go to it rather than order online and have it delivered because it usually arrives cold and missing items

Teriible food and overpriced. This really is if no other options are available

Rude, not helpful, poor service

Ordered 5 chicken selects large, only got 4.. Asked for dips and got none And no straws Been charged for two large but only got one large and gave me the other meal as a regular. Never again will I be going to that branch. Might even stop using McDonald’s altogether

The service was excellent, the price was good. Drive through here. Food excellent family enjoyed it.

Usual poor service and poor quality.

Foods usually nice but on drive through always best check what you get as so many times I've had items missing from this branch then have to go back round again , oh and the ice cream/milkshake machine spends more time out of action than it does working

I order Philly cheese stack and a Bic Mac as a meal.When we take our order and we reach home Philly cheese stack was missing just the Bic Mac.We pay the burger but their service is terrible.

Good service and the food was hot

I ordered two cheeseburgers with extra ketchup, mustard and onion. Both came with no pickles (or one singular pickle if that counts) and no onions as well as no extra mustard nor ketchup. Not sure what's up with that. It's even labelled correctly.

It's a McDonald's it is never going to be fine dining but it's clean and tidy

Hot fries but dark in colour tasted quite bad I didn't finish them,possibly reheated cold ones.

Best McDonald's in the area. Food is always hot and tasty. Fries are always perfect here!

We ordered two drinks and chicken we didn’t get the rich tomato sauce either any straws or the chips that we ordered and they gave us the completely wrong meal

So many times I have had missing items from this restaurant.. way too many, wasted ££ as it's too far to travel back.. make sure you check the bag before you leave..

Nothing special, not fast food, spend to much time with preparing delivery orders.

Wait five minutes try to get someone attention to be told not to shout we are busy so costa here we come better service Mcd train your staff in all areas

Almost 20 mins wait for a meal to turn up with cold drinks cold chips and burgers that look like that had been made an hour ago. Too many uber orders to cope with customers who actually turn up to eat.

The restaurant is empty and they are turning the screens off saying they are faulty. Then ask at the till to be told they are at capacity and can't take any orders. Might aswell close the restaurant and only do online orders This is the second time I've been there and they have done exactly the same again Poor management ..

My food was ready and on tray the staff member picked it up and was told by the manager to put it down and go mop the floor, by the time the food was given to me the chips were cold. I understand the need for floor to be mopped but surely giving the food to the customer is a priority.

Dreadful place,always wrong order, cold food, rude incompetent staff. You can tell how well a place is doing by how many people are there. This place was empty but still had to wait ages for our missing items and cold food.

29 miles into a run only had cash on me waited 10 mins to be served but the guy on the counter couldn't work out how to do the one person in the queues order asked for help they didn't know either at this point my patience had expired so I walked out! Terrible service, all I wanted was a milkshake

Great grabbed a burger and a drink and also lady at drive thro had a dog treat for are little Frenchie

Popped in late evening on way home, lots of space to park, plenty of empty tables. Good efficient service, go there occasionally as a treat

A nice lady brought me breakfast and a coffee, what's not to like

It's OK but this is the only McDonalds I have been to where you need to check your order before you leave as its often wrong

THEY ALWAYS LEAVE PART OF YOUR ORDER OUT WHEN YOU GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU! INCOMPETENCE AT ITS FINEST! VERY ANNOYING.

Delicious and sundaes too, they stopped those in the uk some years ago. Plus a double filet 'o' fish wow. The single will never be good enough now

What can you say about McDs? Relatively quick through drivethru and no mistakes on the order. I like the app, too, as it is easy to accrue points for free food.

All of our food was cold . Not happy .

Don't order on just eat two times in a row missing burgers not small things , a total waste of time

This is a nice place, spacious and with great facilities for children. Cosy and clean, we stopped there for breakfast and had a good rest.

They managed to mess up a big Mac. I know it sounds a bit trivial but two burgers on one layer and none on the other just shows a lack of care and attention.

Most times large chips are no bigger than medium lace cream only half full milkshake machine always broken

Don't care much for the new burger of the month the Philly Stack it's got that horrible squirty fake cheese all over it !!! Stick to the double quarter pounder it's so good

Despite an extensive refurb and layout change the planners have ensured that the delivery drivers have to push past customers waiting to collect their food, why put the delivery driver collection point furthest from the door 🤷‍♀️?

Completely messed up our order. No cheese in bacon cheese flatbread, instead burnt to the side! Burnt sausage in muffin, egg in a muffin that was ordered without, forgot to put 3 hashbrowns in the bag. Overall very poor

Getting awfully sick of ordering food for this particular McDonalds to consistently miss putting it in the bag! Fed up of ringing. It happens every-time. Basic skills wouldn't go a miss.

Got to be the worst in the area. Constantly forgetting items, foods been thrown together. Rude staff (the female’s mainly)

The order is wrong every time, even when ordering on the machines. Why doesnt 'no cheese' mean 'no cheese'!? And also when it is 'no cheese' why does that also mean to you no onions or gherkins!

No milk shakes. Missing certain dips that I had been able to order. Messy floors & dirty tables. Manager not aware of how the front of house looks as he was only concentrating on drive through. Worst McDonald's I have been in.

It has a 24 hour sign outside but the doors were locked and drive though closed but staff where still in the kitchen

Definitely a good McDonald's, faster than the Broadstairs McDonald's and the foods hot and fresh with friendly staff.

Hands up only used the facilities which were lovely & clean

There should be one ⭐️ but the place itself may be interesting for children - 2 multimedia tables for games and activities and low tables. One of the worst places on the McDonald's list. We were here twice - mcdrive and in the restaurant. In both cases: very long waiting time - a lot of staff who simply didn't know what to do - as a result, our order was cold - we asked to replace the fries - and we received cold ones again 😂

Never been here in my life nor am I ever likely to.

I ordered a plain cheese burger with ketchup,When it got to my house I opened the burger but the wrapper said "No mustard" but when I usually get that sort of burger it says "plain cheeseburger with ketchup" so I checked it and yall added pickles and onions,Bad place,These drinks were diabolical! Bring back the plastic straws,And get my order wrong next time,I will call your manager!

Love this McDonald's have been here a few times on the way back from places in Thanet like Margate and Broadstairs. Staff a lovely and are well trained. Well Done 👍

I get bad service waiting at till make a change too my breakfast order i get the egg i did not want ...to late am on motor way too complain ....other time i buy a large toffee latte and get just under a half a cup of the beverage :( poor standard all round minster McDonald's....

As McDonalds branches go, this is among the best branches I have ever visited... And truth be told, I visit a fair few. Clean, tidy and efficient. Enjoyed the creative décor etc for the World Cup and pride month too, nicely decorated!

Went through drive through, given hot and cold drink and told to park up. Waited nearly half and hour for food. Hot drink cold, and cold drink ice melted and was not the best cos of that. When the lady finally bought my food, I mentioned my drink was cold , she said that's not my fault. The correct response should have been sorry madam let me get you another one. Was fuming. Got home to eat and opened my burger the cheese was not in the burger but attached to the box, could get off to pop into burger eas stuck soggily.

Ordered 2 x double quarter pounders with cheese from drive thru. Imagine my disappointment to get back to our holiday cottage to find out we had been given singles!

Used the play area, daughter enjoyed. Very friendly and welcoming staff. ***Update*** Not sure what has happened here, took my daughter here 2 times in the last week, both times bought extra drinks after eating, both times had to wait 10 - 15 minutes for drinks. People who had ordered large meals after me were out 5 minutes before. really sad.

Lovely friendly staff, even 4.00am when I come in with my kick scooter. Only place open in Thanet for insomniacs like me.

Prompt ordering, prompt payment and we were promptly handed exactly what we had ordered with a smile. It shouldn't be a surprise, but it really was!

Usual McDonald's you get what you pay for.

Drive thru was unfortunately only taking cash and their apple pies were OOS. Service can't really be rated as you use self service points, the person on the drive thru could've been more enthusiastic when telling people about the card reader issues though.

It's McDonalds, so you know what you're going to get. Can't fault the staff though, who, despite technological issues, still managed to be friendly

[Update] Summer '24 - Milkshake machine down again... AGAIN. --------------------------------- Polite and helpful but lots of issues. Sometimes "technical difficulties" when trying to order via the app (I check other local ones at the time to make sure not an app issue). Milkshake machine down more often than not. Fruit bags with Happy Meals rarely in stock. Lots of power cuts. Many times "The tills have crashed, we can't serve anyone." Also had a few "We can't take card payments." Electrical and payment system needs an overhaul/replacement.

Usual MC Donalds Fast Food. Rarely Fast and barely food.

Food good. Forgor a few items of my order. Nice little play area for the kids

Food was burnt & very dry as if it had been kept in the warmer for too long... The server was very rude, just threw their arm out the window without saying nothing as they were too busy talking to their colleagues, which was far more important! We asked them a question and got ignored...

Waited to long for drive through order to be ready and the food was cold.

Took the grandson. He loves the outdoor play pod. Food is fine, milkshakes lovely. Service a little slow due to drive in.

Took away so don't what the atmosphere was like but the atmosphere in the car was full on laughter

Went here with my family they didn't give us the right stuff. As well the guy had a pink eye and he didn't wear cloves. And they want you to pay for a rap of pickles when you can get it for free

Customer service manager was worth her weight in gold, friendly chatty and pleasant

Seems a clean and tidy restaurant. Staff were professional and helpful. Toilets seemed clean and tidy too.

Good location for a short dinner

Parents/elderly beware, fatal accident waiting to happen Speed ramps needed ASAP Due to its site layout and the complete absence of any speed ramps this McDonalds has created an extremely dangerous situation for its customers where all vehicles leaving the premises have to drive through the middle of the parking area to exit...and as I witnessed during my short visit some do so at very high speed !

As usual, they forgot half our order!
