Very busy but everything was good

Mess everywhere. Gentleman in dirty high vis jacket serves the food. Another person in the kitchen works with no gloves. He put cheese on burgers with bare, dirty hands. Bleh

Awful! Bought a ‘hot chocolate’ well it was far from any hot chocolate I normally buy. It was watery and tasteless with a peculiar artificial smell. Only thing positive I can say it was warm and wet and I was desperate for a hot drink - everywhere else as shut so Hobson’s choice really. Revolting. I won’t make that mistake again!

Visited around 07.30 on a rainy Saturday morning. Ordered a breakfast roll and wrap, the roll was like rubber and the wrap not much better.

This was in a small service station, the prices were better than the proper bigger service stations, service was quick and seating area was clean

Had a lovely meal and rest here before we drove another 150 mile

Food quality was poor. The service was very poor. It took a long time for the food to arrive and they got 4 of the 6 items wrong. There was no ketchup in the dispenser either

We have renamed this service as Watford crap! Terrible food, stall fries cold burger! Drive a few more miles for the next services.

Made specific requests which weren't followed, and then not received the correct order. They weren't busy at the time but are obviously lacking in staff or training.

Dirty, disgusting place unhygienic

Just fancied a McFlurry and gues what, all of the Mcflurry's not available.

Typical McDonald's, the service was excellent. A school tour turned up and it didn't phase the staff one bit, they made it look like clockwork, no delays whatsoever.

Stopped off here on the way home from a London trip. Probably one of the best McDonalds I’ve had in a LONG time, food came piping hot, fresh and well done. Plus fast service, would recommend 😊👍💯🍔🍟

Good service levels. Cold drinks were OK, but the coffee was stronger than at other McDonalds.

It's OK, mostly get McDonald's for my 6 year old granddaughter, she loves it.

There are roadworks on the M1 but we managed to enter the road chef and get to McDonald's. The car park is busy, we have two hours of free parking. The restaurant is inside the building shared with other restaurants and coffee shops. There are toilets on the right and the spaces for tables are big. The tables are very clean and the service is really good.

It was really busy at that time of day, just after school closing hour. Most attention was to drive through customers. Walk-in spend extra 20-30 minutes wait time.

Hot, fresh food. Ours was cooked to order as it was late and we really enjoyed it!

Slowest service I’ve ever had at McDonald’s. 12 members of staff in the kitchen at least and it took so long

Service station, characterless, but on a 5 hour journey and it was convenient.

For a services I thought it would be better with fresh food. Waiting time was too long and needs attention to serving customers.

I would not recommend enriching McDonald's as its not healthy at all

Food arrived quickly. Managed to customise the burger and muffin to cut out some items as necessary, even at the self-service touch screens. We visited two different McDonald's in one day. The first had ketchup but no sugar for my coffee. The second had sugar but no ketchup or brown sauce. The tables were somewhat scruffy and stained but had been cleaned. We charged up the electric car as we ate. Overall, a reasonably good experience.

4 stars as with McDonald's you know what you're getting. I do like their coffee, though.

New layout isn't great and has less seating than before. Ordering points are cramped, could only find 1 rubbish bin and seats not comfortable.

Cold food. Dirty tables and staff who only want you to use the order stations. A big huff and puff if you want to order from counter.

Mc Donald's is McDonald's chips are always cold

A busy Saturday bank holiday weekend, good service but no napkins left, no sauce in dispenser, lady wiping tables just wipes it onto floor. Very busy but let's not forget the basics. Otherwise great food delivered in reasonable time and correct order. Thanks.

Standard McDonald's, what more could one say?

Not a good example very unenthusiastic staff food I took home and gave to my dogs they weren't that keen either

Fine excellent for something on the quick

Dirty condiment section. Staff were rude and slow. Took 14 minutes for two soft drinks whilst others were receiving their similar orders sooner. Fast food my arse.

I was hungry at it was there otherwise I wouldn't have gone there

Bins were overflowing, dirty tables. Waited a while for our orders.

Amazing dining experience witb service station panache. We shared a black coffee. So good. We will ne back even though we live 200 miles away

It's a motorway McDonalds. McMuffin was pretty good and fresh made

Stopped early morning for a quick biyr to eat and use the facilities. The food was terrible, the bun tasted stale, and the sausage patty was very dry like cardboard. We put most of it in the bin. Couldn't even finish our drinks they were that bad!

Stinky dirty unclean toilets. Really sick making.

Food was okay easy to order on screens Was hot and fresh enough. Didn't have Apple pies after taking order gave me wrong hot drink Atmosphere a bit rubbish because they were definitely over 10 orders behind at least 10 minute wait for order. Seems understand in particular as the main place to buy hot food at these services. Might be a one off but warrants the three star review I'm afraid. The lad serving the food wasn't too happy to be there but definitely not rude by any stretch.

Fries were limp and soggy. Big Mac thrown together. Have eaten far better presented Maccy D’s .

The salespeople are incompetent, you order one thing, they order another, and in fact - £4.90 from the parking receipt which was for £10, I ordered a combo of £6.69 + 2 cheeseburgers for £1.49. And the total is 2 cheeseburgers and a cola that I don’t need (also a big cola) came out to £5.11 and in fact -£4.90.

It's like a Basic MC Donald's. The food is good, and not expensive and it came fast.

Usually pretty good, occasionally they forget the dips and tissues. But much better these days than they used to be. They always put 2 slices of cheese in the double cheese burger, and you can't just remove one. It's all or nothing cheese 😐

We took machdonalon burgers 11.47 pm ,crispy burger chicken was uncooked ,we were disappointed ,coz we invest our money but burgers were very bad ,we came from long journey we take way burgers if we were dine in that time I can told him , completely rubbish no sauce inside and little salad only half leaf very bad

Absolutely shocking. Waited 25 minutes for a chicken wrap meal, only 3 people in the kitchen and all 3 dragging their feet In no hurry to serve the 12 people who are waiting

I have trouble with the McDonald's app at every service station I go to. The app can't find the restaurant I'm in, or the offers aren't available. Or the code won't appear. All this happened at Watford Gap.

Rude assistant manager. Messed up our order and then spent wasting time rather than getting it sorted out.

This is the slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. Both times nearly a 15 minute wait for 1 breakfast item

Not too bad at all, Food and drink orders are processed quickly, No fuss about asking for Curry and BBQ sauce Napkins behind the counter, dont forget to ask for extras .

Food cold - why? How? This is the second time in a row and yet it was a different McDonald's I took it straight back (within 2 minutes) and was given a replacement which was hot . How do they get the food so cold???

Hated it so much haven't been there since the time I lifted my burger for a bite and fat poured out of it when I asked for another the same thing happened vile and disgusting and the poor staff look hot sweaty and bored to death One of the lesser rings of hell

Thought it would be better with the latest revamp....But sadly I've been 3 times since it's been open again and in my opinion the latest experience as well as every other time it's just a really poor show there is always something that's a let down! Next time I think I will Skippy and go to the chippy !

It's a McDonald's. Pretty much standard. Service was pretty quick.

Hideous fast food , everything is frozen , no anymore never eat there again.

Wouldn’t recommend stopping here. Very long wait time for my order and when it did eventually come I was given no sauces, I did ask for sauces but I was told “only one per customer, for reference our order was 3 burgers, 3 medium fries, 3 drinks and a few other items and was for 5 people. I’ve been to many McDonald’s but this is the first one I’ve been told that. Also while I was eating my food both burgers I ordered were squished and were also missing toppings I’d ordered (one was burnt too)

It's not even cheap anymore but still manage to make even a burger taste bad.

To be honest I’m not a lover of McDonalds… why we’ll simply nothing is made from what you think it should be. So I’m wheat and Soya free for medical reasons and I’m meat free also. The ordering system has changed since I last went in ( which is many years), but was OK to work my way through. I point I would make was that the allergen list wasn’t on the ordering platform thingy. Which I thought was a legal requirement??? I do t k ow about bigger branches as this was on the motorway, which in some ways was worse as I was heading to an event. If I’d eaten wheat or soya I wouldn’t be able to drive within an hour and wouldn’t be able to go to events for the next 4 days. Which is why I only had coffee as it’s not worth the risk to me.

Today for some reason was very noisy with sports supporters. Never had to queue so long for toilets.

McD in Guiesley is a good one. Always quite busy and kept clean. Staff are always busy and the orders for the kids happy meals are mostly always correct. See you next week.

Ordered a quaterpouder meal asked if I wanted a double quater pounder meal I said no asked if I wanted a large meal I said no price was expensive but didn't think much of it as prices are usually higher at service station when meal arrives there gave me a large double quarter pounder meal when I question how such a mistake was made I got made out to be the one who was In the wrong trying get a large for the price of a medium once I got my refund I put the money in a charity box to prove the point clearly upselling customers

Been here twice now for breakfast calling by on the way to a job up in rugby, so you know I'm abit of a seasoned pro. Standard fat Donald's experience, my sausage and egg Mc Muffin was slapped together (first world problems I know) and was greasy even for a a fat Donald's. BUT! the good thing about a franchise is it all tastes the same... it was warm, freshly made and cooked properly so yeah chugged my OJ in one like the big man I'am snd saw a sweet 90s E class outside I think it was an E class idk my Mercs I like Japanese cars and if its german I'm a BMW man then audi then Mercedes but pre 2000s mercs are rad.
