McDonald's in Colchester

It's just so small for a city centre McDonald's. It's very busy but only has two stands. The stairs are really steep and there's no lifts making it hard for prams and impossible for disabled people. There are much better McDonald's out of town. My burger was a shambles too and the Lettuce brown and the chips chewy.

Gavin was incredibly rude to both staff and customers, disappointing behaviour. 👎

Shockingly slow for breakfast on a Sunday. It’s empty, but they seem to prioritise delivery orders.

If you want a Mcdelivery, then stay away from this place and avoid it like the plague. time and time again, the orders have been missing items. how hard can it be to pack the food that was ordered by someone?? Save your money and go elsewhere or support an independent takeaway.

Food is always cold every time I order from here very disappointing

Waited nearly 20 minutes for a cheeseburger happy meal (no customization) to be served. Should not take so long for fast food!! The staff were just moving so slow with no sense of urgency to get orders done. And this was at 11.45am. Hate to think how long the wait would be during lunchtime proper.

THIS WOULD BE 0 STARS!!!! BUT WE HAVE TO OUT 1. very disappointed. my son was very excited to see the new mine craft meals (grown up happy meals) being advertised. We placed an order for 2 meals and were incredibly disappointed that we didn't receive any toys! We tried to chase the delivery driver but he drove off

Delivery driver was trying to refuse to come and deliver the food to the flat, very argumentative over the phone

Food delivered with food missing and completely cold. Phoned the store and they i formed me it is bagged when a driver is allocated. This was about 40 minutes before it was picked up. They admitted that the temperature of thefood is not checked once bagged, meaning it would be below the legal temp hot food can be stored at. The person I spoke to also didnt know the temp food has to be when cooked. They cant refund and unereats refused to as it was supposedly delivered in a good time. Environmental Health are being contacted.

Both drinks were crushed and spilt over the McFlurry and I was left with a puddle Coca Cola at my front door that I had to clean up and the food was cold as the delivery guy didn't have a delivery bag that keeps the food warm. I only got £6 credit note back....Absolutely shocking...should be a full refund!!

all my food eas destroyed because the coffee had spilt into all my food and the whole order was soaked and you didn't refund me for this discusting

It's usually pretty good. I go there quite often. I've only had one or two minor issues and that's like after 100+ trips. It's pretty solid.

I ended up ringing the restaurant because the food was over an hour later than the time I was told when I first ordered and when it arrived it was literally freezing cold. I had to put It all in the oven to reheat it in the air fryer. the burgers couldn't be heated up as they were full of lettuce and sauce so went in the bin!

Food was ordered for 7pm, didn’t arrive till 8.15. I understand that things might run late on a Saturday night but it would be much better to find a way to let customers know how late it might be, for example, so plans can be altered. Driver was charming and clearly working very hard - and to be fair, the delivery drivers are pretty much all really nice and doing their best. But realistic timings would be very helpful.

Arrived earlier today for a quick bite to eat before going home. Was greeted by Evie who had a great personality. Very cheerful and happy to help with any questions. She was great 👍

Food never delivered. On contact with driver they just said we never opened the door and “someone could have picked it up”. No one rang our intercom, the order was left on “delivering” for ages. Went outside and walked around but saw no order at all. When trying to sort it out with the driver he was very rude and didn’t follow any order confirmation instructions they should adhere to. Abysmal

I placed my order over 2 hours before i recieved my food and could not cancel my order so i just had to wait for it and it arrived almost 2 and a half hours after i placed the order, im extremely unhappy with the service and as it was my lunch i had to eat something else so the food is now not needed due ti how long it took to come

Food came really late nearly three hours but the weather conditions weren’t great and drivers according to the app.

Food arrived stone cold and drink was dropped on the floor outside my home.

The driver was on time & very polite. I was very unsure when I placed this order as the last one I did took 3.00 hours to arrive and was stone cold and went in the bin. So the driver has given me a renewed opinion as I had decided I would never do it again but it’s a great start to me using you again. Thankyou.

it was nearly 3 hours late, i called justeat the customer experience women was no help, i paid nearly £50 worth of food , kids were hungry, i had enough waiting so after nearly 3 hours i decided to drive to the restrauent, soon as i got right next to the shop i got notification driver has left with our food, my mrs questionned driver why it took him nearly 3 hours, he had "i only got assigned 20 mins ago" im not using this horrible service again.

Drink was split, though I’ll allow that exception just because. Food was alright and helped me get through the morning.
