My 'iced' drink was melted and warm. I didnt even receive my pastry Never ordering from here again, I'd like a refund please

Dreadful staff at drive thru on Friday morning, rude, and should not be working in a customer facing environment, brand damaging for the costa brand. Find some friendly staff.

PLEASE PLEASE DONT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE my mum, nan and I came here earlier today to grab drinks for a short road trip we had planned (2 americanos and 1 peach ice tea) less than an hour later my grandparents and mum complained about the taste saying how it tasted off and burnt, i had a sip myself and in the weirdest way did taste like burnt coffee beans? the worst tho was an hour later on the road when my mum started feeling nausious and proceeded to throw up multiple times whilst driving. we are safe and my mum is doing okay now but genuienly I was so scared for my mum's safety. my grandfather also complained about having an upset stomach after finishing his drink but as far as I'm aware nothing extreme has happened. we KNOW my mum was sick from this coffee because we had breakfast earlier and water from home and we were both completely okay then. besides that there was also messy tables: coming from someone who worked at starbucks, I know how busy these places can be but HYGIENE must be made a main priority than anything else please, dont come here even for convenience

Would not take legal tender £50 but nothing saying they won’t after waiting in line for ages all head office apparently nothing to do with the staff not wanting to help as the drive through took it up the road

My visit to Colchester Tesco Costa Coffee was made truly exceptional thanks to the remarkable service provided by Lisa and Kate. Really wanted to give this place a shot but the first time I went the person who was touching the rubbish then went to hand me my food and the second time my coffee was burnt. I don’t think cleanliness is the top priority here.

Ideal and convenient location for me and my partner to go to. Food always seems fresh but feel the prices seem on the high side for what they offer. Service always seems friendly enough but can feel a little slow if they are busy or short staffed, Overall the atmosphere is nice and what you would expect.

Missing items! Ordered a hot choc and 2 chocolate twists, the chocolate twists didn't come I'm so disappointed

Was on time but our sausage baps had cheese from another customers order on them

They looked miserable and didn't do the drinks properly

Coffee was cold and the marshmallows I was charged for were not on the drink

Food was not great the drink we got were the wrong ones the fillings in the toasties was pitiful not a lot at all

I visited the costa coffee at the clacton shopping village, staff very nice and helpful. Well worth the visit.

Costa in Tesco Colchester, Essex. Miserable staff, zero customer service personality. Repeated order several times, couldn't be bothered to put any syrup in the hazelnut latte i asked for. Waste of time and money. I'm going to stick to Starbucks, thanks.

Very rude staff jeeez if they are having a bad day they want to spoil it for everyone. So I walk in say hello and this elderly lady doesn’t even respond and went ahead to do her things. It is 3’oclock and she insists to me they are doing only takeaways and I tell her I want to sit in because it’s not yet closing time anyway. And she is like we are only two staffs and we can’t be cleaning after you, that’s stale honestly.

I love walking into Costa getting my usual hot chocolate as a treat the staff are absolutely amazing they are all a right laugh they are so friendly polite.. Debbie served me and she is such a lovely lady always up for a nice chat keep up the great work guys ur all hard working group always got a smile and greeting there customers I recommend costa to anyone!

Delivery arrived with one drink spilt everywhere and bag ripped that was carrying it. The bag carrying the two hot drinks had one mocha with oat milk and hazelnut (did not contain hazelnut) The other hot drink should of been coffee latte with sugar free caramel. It did not it had hazelnut which was lucky I don’t have a nut allergy it was discguting and have not drank the drink

As someone that often orders from Costa my latte was full of froth, therefore I only got half a cup. My sons hot chocolate was only filled a 3rd also.

The sausage bap was terrible the roll was harder than rock no sauce I requested some and no sugar whilst I requested sugar drink was warm but horrible without sugar

DO NOT order from here! Half of my order didn’t even arrive! When I tried to call them to chase it! The number doesn’t work! Disgusting!

I came into Costa here at Greenstead with my elderly uncle to grab a coffee. He needs the support of a shopping trolley to be able to move around at a slow pace, member of staff insisted trolleys were not aloud in the cafe. At the time there was only one person sitting in the cafe.

Very very rude female staff this morning can not believe Costa will allow staff to be so rude. One in Colchester is a lot better then this 🤬😡

No smile, no welcome, no customer service skills. Two older female staff who just didn't seem to want to be there. Didn't offer us size options for drinks or if we were take away etc, asked for gluten free options for cakes and the female server unhelpfully just patted a random section in front of her. Awful service. Poor guy making the coffees was working non stop, but also seemed so nervous of getting things wrong that he couldn't stop, but he seemed friendlier. Young girl came on shift drinking her coffee openly in front of everyone and proceeded to have personal chatter with her colleagues where we could all hear! For the price of the coffee, we would've have a warmer welcome at Greggs!!! 👍🤣

There are a couple of female staff, who really aren't interested in being there and they don't worry about you knowing it. Everything I've read so far us true, and I ONLY stop here for convenience not pleasure, which is a shame because some costa staff locally are awesome

Brilliant as always. When multiple branches are open, I'd always order here. I find others can be hit and miss. Reliably hotter drinks to survive the delivery so you don't get cold coffee arrive.

I love Costa but today they sent me a tiffin instead of a millionaire shortbread.

Delivery driver spilt the drinks crossing the road leaving us with half a cup he said it was down to me to sort this. Wasn’t happy .

Missing an item off the order. Called the restaurant to tell them they said they read the order wrong nothing they can do about it and to call just eat. Was a waste of time!

Options available on the menu but cafe had to phone us to say they didn’t order them in anymore. Then we were missing food from our order once delivered anyway. No point telling just eat as they never do anything about it. Food didn’t even taste nice and chicken wrap was burnt and hard

I pre ordered my food this morning for a delivery at 11.55, my food arrived just after 12.25 and it was stone cold and rock solid! First time ordering from here and it will definitely be the last!

Really bad service today at Costa in Hythe tesco. The girl had a real bad attitude and told me I was being rude when I asked her to stir the hot chocolate so it wasn't all stuck at the bottom. Apparently it's meant to be like. That told me I was being rude when I said okay fine ill do it myself. And then said I'm gonna have to ask you to leave! Silly cow needs to learn about customer service before she carries on working there. Won't be going there again!!!

The hot chocolate was terrible, service was terrible and every table in the place was dirty! We went inside and ordered hot chocolates. They didn't ask us wether its to take away or not. When they called out the two hot chocolates they were in take away plastic cups and I had to go get them and in apprx 10 minutes they announced they are closing the place. This should've been announced before the order.

There are a serious form of discrimination. My experience was very bad this afternoon. The clerk's attitude was very poor. She didn't ask me to take it away or have in, but I emphasized have in twice. She insisted on told another clerk use take away cup for coffee. After that, I found that other customers can use the glass in the store. This is discrimination. I am Asian, Chinese. I am a student at Essex. I always like costa, but I don't know why.

The place is very untidy rubbish and dirt on the floors and tables. Dirty glasses and spoons. The coffee also not great. This place needs vast improvement.

Helpful and happy staff, quick service

The Coffee was tasty, however, I am on a strict diet. A friend of mine went in and ordered a plain Iced coffee with nothing in it except for sugar-free caramel. Instead some sort of dairy was added to it. Not very happy about this as a coffee should know how to listen, understand, and make the drinks how it is requested not how the barista thinks you should have it.

the male server [in his late 20s?] in the mornings weekdays is arrogant ,sloppy and rude. The rest of the staff are ok. i really enjoy my coffee there if he isnt in, its a pity as the environment is otherwise quite relaxing and pleasant

staff are a disgrace. rude to customers. blunt and uninviting. so disappointing.

It's OK for a quick takeaway drink, but I hate sitting in. The staff are pretty useless, they start cleaning down the seating area far too early, and the place is filthy. On one visit I was sat at a table, having a drink and chatting with an old friend when a member of staff decided to start hoovering around us. The final straw came when she asked us to move our legs so she could hoover under our table! What's worse is the heat and vomit smell coming from the hoover was vile and nauseating. They weren't due to shut for another 2hrs, so I don't understand what she was doing! I'd much rather use Harris & Hoole at the other local Tesco..

Great coffee, friendly staff. Shame we can't get the points on our card cos the tills aren't working properly. I love getting a free coffee now and then. It's a bit like breaking a contract.

Lack of large cups even in quiet times lets the experience down. Not happy, coffee shouldn't be drunk in cardboard cups! Just to say that the coffee cup situation seems to have been resolved and althiugh not perfect definitely on the up now. Worth a few more stars i think!

Visited this morning for coffee and a biscuit service was lovely. A very warm welcome from George and Ionela. Everything clean and tidy.

Staff awful. Shouting your toast etc is ready across the room instead of bringing it to you. Place dirty looks like staff can't be bothered or very poorly trained. Worst costa been in in a long time.

One coffee man is all over lady customers. The boss coffee man telling his mates about his type 2 illness! Result a long wait to be served. Could be much better

Been to this coffee place loads of times. But have no decided to give it a miss and go to the coffee place at the Highlands Tesco store. My reason for this is what looks like ingrained dirt on the tea trays and the staining on cups and other crockery. They may have been clean but look really bad. This place isn’t cheap and one would expect at least a decent standard. They could do with new trays and crockery. Also the tables could do with being cleared and cleaned more often as one has so frequently having to clear a table before sitting down. Good coffee though!
