Thanks to the staff in Alnwick for accommodating our big group of lively 6 year olds this evening, the staff were really kind and helpful.

The team are nice and friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food was fresh. Wish I lived closer tbh cos the ones in Leeds are awful. I think I go to McDonald's too much tho...

The space was so clean and tidy, I got surprised with this place not the usual McDonalds that you walk in floor and table sticky and I won’t mention the bathrooms as they are a disgrace. Their bathrooms looked and smelt clean. This McDonalds as lovely and cheerful staff and management and always happy to help. One of the best McDonalds I have seen!!!!

The best McDonalds we have been to. Always kept clean and the staff are so polite and keen to assist. One particular member of staff stands out - Julie with short dark hair. What an asset to this place she is. She has helped us out on a number of occasions and Ive noticed she keeps an eye on any issues and quickly clears up any mess.

Did accidentally get the wrong drink in the order, but rectified it quickly and without hassle. Food was quick and tasted great, the place was clean. Great McDonald's experience.

I ordered a McSpicy large meal. Guess what I got? A mcChicken. It’s actually unacceptable I was excited for my McSpicy and I got a flat piece of chicken. It better not happen again.

Very clean, meal was nice and hot and staff were very friendly.

Just got to McDonald’s. The area is coned off yet is lit up and has no signage to say that it’s closed. When I walked to the door to see if it’s open the guy saw me and went into hiding. Very strange

Had a delivery, again. Stone cold food. Happens everytime. If we go in, the food is hot and edible. Shame they still can't find a way to keep your stuff hot.

It’s a McDonalds you know what you’re getting. Service was quick, food was warm and staff friendly I don’t think you expect much more. Will return as pass quite a bit and it’s easy enough to get to

Probably the worst McDonalds I’ve ever used. We wanted some drinks, so thought we’d use the drive thru for what should be a simple quick visit. Ordered ahead on the app. On arrival was told they hadn’t got any Coca Cola??? Went round to collect what they did have, just sat at the collection window….eventually get given order, no apology. This outlet is without competition in the local area, but it’s still very poor in my opinion.

It was bloody cold, AC turned up way to high. Also Halloween decorations up but no Halloween Happy Meals, still on old stock so kids were disappointed.

I think McDonald’s have broken their service model. With all of the mcdelivery, just eat and other food delivery services seeming to get priority, the paying in person customer gets short shrift.

Fast service, really exemptional food. It might be the best McDonalds in UK as per my experience. I hope they keep this quality of service and food.

Fast service on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Order all correct, tables freshly cleaned and sanitised. Great staff with friendly service :) and milkshakes available! 🫶

Brought over an old freezing cold coffee with my order. They did replace it when I went back to the counter though. No issues other than that.

First stop of the day after traveling from North Yorkshire, very busy but friendly staff clean environment, the wrap was the best I've had in a long time tasty chicken and salad very crispy and fresh 👍

Absolutely disgusting, ordered wraps for a good few of us, the lady came out says, he has your massive bag! Then the gentleman comes over and says here's all your wraps. So rude, had to leave part of my separate order as the app had a glitch.

Terrible slow service. Screaming kids everywhere. No grimace shake when they had it on the menu board which is false advertising. Travelled all the way to Alnwick to try the drink since it was the closest mcdonalds to us but was MILES away. Had to sit in lengthy queue for ages even though we hadn't ordered anything since we only came for the drink. Waste of time and money. One star wouldn't recommend. Wish I could give it no stars. Not worth the wait.

The drive t through extremely slow we sat in it 20 minutes and when we got back to holiday home 1 mile away they had missed a bag of chips from a meal and were stone cold

I was genuinely surprised at how quick our food arrived at our table. It was all hot and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in this mcds was actually nice, compared to some. We enjoyed our meal and were grateful to have a spot to eat before we headed back home

Disgraceful service,went through the drive thru for 3 sausage egg McMuffin meals with 2 extra hash browns.had to park up for 25 minutes,then got the wrong order brought out,off he went and came back 10 mins later,checked the order,looked ok,but when we parked up in another location to eat ,they hadn't put the two extra hash browns in and one the McMuffins,was open with what looked like a chunk missing out of the roll.totally disgusting .avoid if you can

Yes, my partner and I called in to Hawfinch Drive Maccie D's near Alnwick en route to the castle. Our fries arrived almost cold and not up to the standard I expect, nice hot golden fries! Our burgers were fine, but it's not only here but many other Maccie outlets that don't give out hot fries! Rather disappointed yet again I'm afraid! 🤨

They always seem to mess up your order even when you tell them you have an allergy

Mostly, my orders are fine. However, over the years, I have found missing items and one time a big chunk missing from my burger 🍔 which is why I check everything before I leave with my order. Staff need to pay more attention to the accuracy of all orders before they leave to avoid negative feedback! Just saying...

A little slow service and not the neatest of presentation on the food but I guess that’s expected of McDonalds. Made up for it with the amazing interior design, friendly staff and the fact that there is a children’s play area. Just off the A1 and EV charge points over the road so a very convenient stop when driving from Edinburgh back to Durham. Have stopped here multiple times and will be stopping again!

First time I've had hot chips and a burger that's been put together carefully rather than smashed together. Best McDonald's I've had. Well done. It was very busy as well so even better.

The grills must not get scraped down after every run as the grease on the breakfast muffin is disgusting the sausage muffin wrapper is literally dripping in grease also the time tags in production bin are always out I've noticed on a lot of occasions which is disgraceful as food is only meant to be stored in the production bin for 10mins max there is also a food holding cabinet in the kitchen where the same rules apply now I purposely ordered chicken nuggets one day and just as I thought they had been stored to long in the cabinet as they was dry as sticks and hard this place needs a good kick up the arse and I truly hope they get a mystery dinner one day cos this will sharp sort them out I no everything about what goes on McDonald's as I used to be a floor manager at store 981 I'm sure the staff that read this will no this already as the things I've pin pointed you would only no if u work or worked there also the amount of staff without hair nets on is ruthless and the customer service skills well they literally don't have a clue how to treat a customer with respect and that is mainly the managers and some crew members

How do McDonald's get away with their false advertising, the size and pictures of the burgers ard massive and you always see actors holding them with two hands, yet in reality they are one handed 3 bites big!🤬🤬🤬

Well presented, clean premises. We ordered in branch via the automated order machine. The food was prepared promptly and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Just make sure you don't look like an eejit and go in the FRONT door and not to the secured side door (a fire exit) like we did and about 5 other families did while we were there! 🤦‍♂️

There were alarms going off. All the time, the staff were rude and unpleasant and reeked of energy drinks. The toilets were a disgrace to society and clearly needed a lesson on deodorant! Floors were sticky, and tables were messy an absolute nightmare. Very disorganised and very disappointing even if it is just a service station. Avoid!!!

Went through the drive in. Had to park up and wait, as did everyone around us. Food was cold and they had missed a burger off our order which was very disappointing as 9 year old was without. Too far to go back and we had gone there after a day of travelling and being very tired.

Not impressed. Been here for the past two visits and my orders have been messed up on both occasions. First time I had ordered a double quarter pounder and they only gave me a single, despite literally putting it in a double quarter pounder box! The second and most recent visit they had literally not given me half of my order. Waited around 20 minutes before I got my food only to find that they had completely missed the fries and a 9-piece chicken nuggets. Luckily I spotted the missing fries, but by the time I got home I had only then realised that they had missed out the nuggets. Also on this occasion, they had put in the sauces that I wanted, so they KNEW I had ordered it!!! How missing half of an entire order even happens, I don't know, but now I feel robbed thanks to this place, and probably ordered the most expensive meal I'll ever buy from here, not for any of the right reasons. Perhaps this is a message from god to stop me from eating the food they serve here; heck, maybe I'll live a bit longer if I do stop. I did get some vouchers off customer service so after I use them up that'll be it for coming back to this place for a while, management and staff training seriously needs to be reviewed. Leaving 2 stars does feel a little too generous, but admittedly the problems I've had haven't been much of an issue up until recently.

My first McD's experience in about 18 months, and honestly I was fairly happy, Drive thru was speedy for a Sunday morning and they delivered the holy grail of Maccies... A perfect order with nothing missing!!
