Very bad services don’t recommended at all we waited for cup of water for 1 hour and the server probably forgot us

For all my Detroit and Windsor folks, and anyone who visits, @mazaarrestaurant is one of those must have restaurants. Easily top 3 Lebanese restaurants I’ve been to, like ever. Lebanon imported food, all made from scratch, many vegan and gluten free options, tea-light lit ambiance, hookah, nicest staff, the reasons to go are endless.

Nice pple and tasty food. Good service and all kind of different arabic and asian food for all types of communities

i love mazaar. pricey but there is much quality in their dishes. i go here whenever i want to celebrate something.

The food was good. Not my favourite visit this time but I’m not a fan of a set menu. The server was great. The atmosphere was noisy as it was a packed house. The prices were reasonable. I’d recommend this restaurant.

We enjoy good food and have always enjoyed the food at Mazaar...especially the downtown Mazaar. It is customary for us to partake in their special menu on Valentines Day. This year was disappointing, I am sad to say. The fattoush salad was not up to their normal standards. The Hummus was good (we prefer their regular hummus). The Cheese Kebbeh app was dry and tasteless, the sushi app was good. (I am speaking for both of us here). The beef paillard was a bit tough, and the Halloumi Chicken was good. The dessert was dry and tasteless. We are considering a change of Valentine's Day custom.

Was surprised with the tastes and variety of dishes served. Very filling at 30 $a person it was wonderful. Great salad lots of hummus and little pita breads. An assortment of meats and great rice. We had extra feta on salad. My mouth is still watering. The service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!

Ive been going here for last 10 years for family celebrations. On boxing day,i was disappointed with the service,my spicy chicken was luke warm,and they had to cook a new one. The rest of my family had to carry on.after 10 mins,my meal came piping hot but was was smothered in way too much spice. I am of Indian origin so can tolerate spice,but the spice seems to have been put off after cooking.but not sure if they have new management or cooking staff,but we were all sorely disappointed. I was at the other location in august and everything was excellent.

This was a very nice venue for a Christmas party. The food was excellent as always. The warm pita bread are delicious. There was a solo sax player that evening and it just made the evening perfect.

My wife and I heard this place was excellent and can confirm that is! Only place in town where u can get dressed up, drink wine and have gourmet poutine!

Have heard great things but wasn’t thrilled. The menu was limited and expensive. Staff was great and so was atmosphere.

The food was rather good, good garlic sauce and very good service. The menu is a little pricier for the food but the ambiance is also better than a regular shawarma place.

We have been faithful fans of Mazaar for years, but were so disappointed with our latest visit. Food was not hot when it arrived, portions were small, and service was poor due to understaffing. I may go back to their South Windsor location, as the food is pretty dependable, but will never bring a large group to the downtown location again.

Mazaar has been one of our favourite go to places for dinner. Food is fresh and flavourful. I would recommend it for any occasion; a night out with friends, family get together or a special evening.

We were a large group for a business dinner and really enjoyed our evening. I had the lamb freekeh and it was very good. We also all shared tabbouleh, hummus and fresh pita - all great. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and managed our larger table well.

Architecture is fine, the food is fine, the atmosphere elicits a feeling of luxurious facade, yet lacks class.

I have always enjoyed my meals here. Everything is tasty, but the prices can be on the higher side. Just be aware. Otherwise lovely place.

I met a group of friends at Mazzars downtown location a few months ago. The food was awesome! And their lunch specials were out of this world!! I ordered the falafel lunch special that included fattoush salad and hummus yum!!And to top it off it was served with some delicious warm small bread pitas! Very good! Highly recommend if you are looking for a filling lunch for a great price! :)

1st time here as we were walking around the area looking for a place to hang out and not noisy like the bars in the area. This place is cool. They have outdoor seating where you get good view and ppl watching ... a lot of eye candy in the weekend :-) The service was great and the food was too... I highly recommend,

Friendly service, amazing hummus, delicious Middle Eastern food. A good place for meetups. I have been visiting for around seven years. Well decorated.

We ate here 10 years ago and wanted to try it again since we were so impressed the first time. We were joined by two other couples who live in Windsor and were familiar with the Lebanese dishes. Reservations were made for the obviously unfashionable hour of 6 pm mid-week at which time the restaurant was nearly empty. It started filling up later. In order to try a bit of everything, our friends recommended the Mazaar feast for $29.75 a person. It did not disappoint! Our waitress, Ana, brought our platters out in a timely manner and when some people wanted their meat more rare than the others, she was happy to oblige. She also recommended that we add feta to the fattoush salad. Everything was well-seasoned, tender and perfectly cooked. Some of us had bigger appetites but there was still enough to take home a small box with meat and another with hummus and beautifully puffed up pitas. We ate inside but the restaurant also has a very nice patio area in front. We’ll have to come more often!

Terrible customer service experience on delivery. The food at Mazaar is fine however we were waiting for more two hours on our delivery order. I called twice in that time. I was told it was a problem with driver but it would be out soon on both occasions but still we had to wait. There was barely recognition that this was a problem and there was no attempt to make this right or even an apology. I asked when I called if delivery was offered and was told ,"yes whatever you prefer". But if you can't follow through or take responsibility for that with that promise, don't claim to offer it. There are too many alternatives to ever return here.

Great decor and atmosphere to enjoy their freshly baked pitas with hummus or shish tawook. The staff have always been amazing.

My absolute favourite restaurant in Windsor. It's been awhile since I've been and I wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent, quick and delicious. The service was great too!! I love the atmosphere and food. Shish Tawook and always and order of hummus with fresh hot pitas... mmmm.

I was in town for my daughter’s swim meet and had my mother with me. We wanted to try something different from what we typically eat and decided to try this Lebanese restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious. The portions were reasonable and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We stopped at Mazaar during WindsorEats' Dirty Poutine Tour. We have come here many times for their unparalleled Lebanese food. But the poutine they created is a perfect combination of Canadian and Lebanese tastes! We loved it and we will be back to have the poutine again (along with the other amazing menu choices)!

We had a hard time getting a table, even though a reservation was made. Our server was knowledgeable about the food as he was a former cook, but he was more interested in talking to the female servers. It also took a bit to get our drink orders, and refills did not come quickly, which is the main reason for the 3 star review.The food was superb. The flavours were spot on and the meat was very tender and juicy. I can't recommend the food enough... Hopefully the service can be fixed.

The Middle Easterb food was terrific and authentic. The service was nicely done when working through an extensive menu of delights. Nice size portions and memorable eating experience.

Appetizers. Just order the lot. Shout out the Fig and Cheese app, i love you and can't wait to order you again soon.

Shared the assorted platter with a group. My fave was the grilled lamb, but honestly everything was delicious and super fresh.Ambiance is authentic but with a cool vibe. Beautiful chandeliers, nice tables. Dim lighting at night would be perfect for a date. Also great for a night out with friends. Staff are very helpful with menu descriptions.

We shared the platter and everyone had a taste of delicious meats. The fresh garlic was amazing! The hummus will th fresh baked pitas were a nice start followed by a most delicious salad! I would recommend this place hands down!

I am a businessman and i have travelled all over Canada. One of the things I love to do is try as many restaurants as i can before leaving the city that i am currently visiting. After travellinng all of Canada I can proudly say that MAZAAR is by far the best food i have ever had... EVER!!

Upon arrival we were not greeted, the manager came and I said table for two, she grabbed two menus and started walking so we followed. We sat at the table and after several minutes she came and took our food order, never asked if we wanted to order drinks, food arrived and the portions and quality were horrible. The manager, who was our waitress never returned to see if we were satisfied with our food, if we needed refills on our water. She returned when we were done with the debit machine and our bill. I will not be returning.

Sadly our last experience at the cabana location. Food was absolutely delicious which is the only reason we had kept going back. Service has been steadily getting worse but today was the worst ever esperienced yet. The three staff were chatting constantly and didn’t care about guests, didn’t come for drinks until we asked. They didn’t greet us when we walked in . Our bill wasn’t presented until we went to The bar and asked. No one refilled water or asked how the food was. No thank you for visiting or acknowledge us leaving. We tipped 20 percent when in reality shouldn’t have left a penny. We sadly won’t be back it’s the worst experience to date in any restaurant. Sorry we inconvenienced them by dining there. It won’t happen again.

I watched a server over pour a glass of water (that someone had been drinking from) and pour the glass of water back into the pitcher, repair the glass, then continue to walk around the dining room filling up waters. Sorry, the food was good and this place usually has great reviews but our experience has ruined this place for us. We will never be back.

Last night we enjoyed Mazaar's NYE menu with 10 of our friends. Our reservation was at 6:45 and we stayed until about 9 PM. Our server Ali was attentive and efficient given the volume of work and customers they had. We didn't feel rushed and were encouraged to give feed back on the food to the manager (whom I see every time I go, love how he goes to every table to inquire). We tried a new cocktail, the Gin and Fattoush which may be the best new cocktail I have tried in a few years! Our salad course was served on a plate of their delicious hummus but they added beets to it which elevated the salad completely and I will definitely be making my own beet hummus to substitute my regular salad dressing! My main was the salmon and wild rice that was cooked perfectly and whatever that herb oil that came in the little ramekin on the side was, was dynamite! Shout out to the bar tender, I'm tricky to please with my martini's but that was a damn good dirty martini! Thank you Mazaar for a great dining experience and helping us ring in the New Year!

We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend that eats at this place frequently. The service is top notch and the food is very very good. On the day of our arrival, the service was a little slow, but that will not change our mind on the level of service we received.The chicken shawarma and the garlic sauce is amazing and the pickled turnips are a MUST!!!Overall I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here again.

They have great lunch specials, quick and delicious. The absolute best hummous and freshly baked mini pitas. I've never been here for dinner, but have gone many times for lunch.

Went there twice during this business trip. First time we split the Mazaar feast platter among 4 of us. The platter was great, and a good portion size for 4 people. The second time I had a lamb shank served with pine nuts and a type of Lebanese yogurt. The shank was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere and decor are very slick, and the waitstaff were great.

I ordered the Lamb Freekeh, which is a braised lamb shank served over rice with a yogurt sauce. The lamb fell off of the bone and the yogurt sauce had a lemon flavor. A very good meal.

Chef Abdullah is amazing as the food and aroma that is pumped out of the kitchen is unreal! Great atmosphere and new look that was done a year ago makes this a great stop for a different type of cuisine Great service and staff is very knowledgeable Halal products are certified and served here

I had heard great reviews but had not had the chance to experience this restaurant until a couple weeks ago. As good as I had anticipated. Great food and a very authentic atmosphere. Great place to bring out of town business guests for lunch. They lived it.

First visit to a Lebanese restaurant, we went for our son's birthday. Very nice atmosphere, clean and nicely decorated. Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind she brought a lovely dessert on the house to celebrate the birthday. we tried the platter so we could experience several dishes, everything was delicious. we will return again to try other flavorful dishes. i would recommend this restaurant

The atmosphere is perfect - not loud, not so quiet it's uncomfortable - perfect. Our service was wonderful. Our waiter had a great sense of humour and still provided excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

First of all, the TripAdvisor menu prices are wrong. Expect to pay 2-3$ more for each plate. I was planning to get the hummus plus a plate but after consideration only opted for the duo kebab. The food was great. Tasted amazing. Only issue I had was with their seasonal veggies... they only served onions with two thin tomatoes slices. I’m pretty sure that in September there are more seasonal vegetables available. It was my second time there. First time was amazing. Second time was only okay. Will consider coming a third time on my next business trip but still not sure.

I love to eat great food and i definitly had great food here. Was very enjoyable. Walking in the place was clean and set up very nice.

I don't find myself downtown Windsor very often, so I was glad to have an excuse to come to Mazaar as part of a work function in August. We ordered platters to share, and this worked great for our purposes. We had several people in our party who had never tried Lebanese food, and it was a great introduction for them. Everything tasted amazing.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, as well as having takeout. Food was delicious, as always: but our waiter pretty much ignored us the first twenty minutes after we arrived, though we’d told them we had to get to another engagement, the restaurant was not busy, and there were at least three waitstaff present. One of my party finally had to go up to the bar and get their attention. I hope this treatment was a “one off” occasion and won’t be repeated in the future.

I cannot say enough about Mazaar - it is the culinary highlight of my visits to Windsor. The service, atmosphere, and food are superb. I recommend the garlic dip (toum), hummus, beef shawarma (served traditionally), shish tawook and shish kabob. All dips are served with wonderful, warm pitas that melt in your mouth.

Wanted to provide friends from out of town with a great dining experience and Mazaar downtown did not disappoint. We made reservations for a Saturday night. They had dinner and Sax. The atmosphere was great with a saxophone player and a waterfall wall. The server was friendly, informative. We all had the chicken and beef kabobs, grave leaves, fried kibbi, and a large fattoush salad. Everything was excellent.Afterwards, we walked along the waterfront to the casino.

This is our favorite Lebanese restaurant, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is superb! Staff are always friendly and you always feel looked after here

We had the best Lebanese food last night in Windsor at the downtown Mazaar’s. Our waiter Austin was incredibly awesome. Austin was very professional and attentive . The atmosphere and their saxophone player who played all night was amazingly remarkable setting a romantic mood throughout the restaurant. My wife and I definitely will go back to Mazaar’s

We met two other couples at Mazaar pre-concert. We had appetizers, drinks and dinner. The service was excellent, the atmosphere vibrant and the food was amazing. Can't wait to return.

What a pleasant experience we had. Though we were running VERY late on a Saturday night before a show, management was so kind to hold our table until we arrived. The servers were energetic and accommodating. We had the new chicken lollipops with mustard sauce. The chicken was super tender and the portion was generous. It’s got a little more mustardy flavour than honey in the sauce FYI. The sojouk was everyone’s favourite though. The fattoush came a close second. One of our party members has travelled around the world, and said that the food was comparable to that he has eaten in the Middle East. We will definitely be back.

A group of 14 of us dined last night at this lovely Lebanese restaurant. Part of our group shared one of the three group platters and remarked that everything included was tasty. They remarked that the 4-person platter could easily have fed 6 people. I ate Kafta and Fattoush salad, both very good.

Beautiful atmosphere with delicious food and good service. Definitely worth it. (Had the Beef shawarma and Peach Bellini.)

Mazaar is a phenomenal restaurant that is a MUST when in Windsor! Mazaar's Labanese cuisine is absolutely decadent, the staff is very professional and the ambiance is a warm chic. Our group of 6 from Montreal recently had the tasting menu that allowed us to sample a wide array of perfectly prepared & incredibly appetizing dishes. We were so impressed that 2 of us went back for lunch the next day and another 2 went back for supper the following night! The portion sizes are generous and flavourful. But most importantly the staff & owner are genuinely hospitable. By the end of our dining experience we felt like we were part of the Mazaar family!

Mazaar is one of my favourite Lebanese restaurants in Windsor! The food is always fresh and delicious. The freshly baked bread is awesome! You can’t go wrong with this restaurant and both locations are great. Enjoy!

So every time I come here the service is awful the first 20 minutes and then once they take the order it is fine, last night was no exception. We were seated, received our water and waited 20 minutes before 4 wait staff asked if we had been helped. We didn’t get to order yet just get our drinks. Once they finally figured out who our server was going to be it was fine. But the first time my meal was terrible. I ordered the spicy chicken and it was soooo salty I could not eat it. Which was a shame as it’s usually good. I also ordered the lentil soup and it was AMAZING!!!

Fantastic ambiance - live sax player was great for background music. Service was great all around. Food was delicious - tried a bunch of dishes including poutine, calamari and Shish Tawook, all fabulous. Would highly recommend!

Appreciating your customers and their opinions. That's what the owner of Mazaar did for something that wasn't the best experience on New Years. I was able to celebrate a nice evening provided by the great service of Nadim and staff at the Cabana location. I would recommend based on the atmosphere, staff and the willingness for an owner to deliver.

One of my favourites in Windsor. Plenty of options on the menu, everything is always tasty and the staff at both locations provide good service. Recommended!

Friends introduced us to this restaurant but I was very pleased to pick up the tab. We had a great meal, CHEF PLATTER 89.99 / 22.49 per person Large fattoush, large hummus, shish kabob, shish tawook,shish kafta and chicken drumsticks served with beryani rice. Four of us had a nice variety and more than enough food to go around. They had a nice variety of bottled wine to choose from as well. Upscale/casual describes this place well. If you want to go for a nice meal (a little fancy but not too fancy) with great food and great atmosphere this is the place. I'll be returning every time I go to Windsor.

We're out-of-towners. First time to Mazaar. I would love it if they opened one up in KW area. Truly great value for a reasonable price. Our orders: not-so-caesar salad, calamari, salmon, Chicken kabob - all delicious! Wine reasonably priced by the glass. Wonderful live saxophone artist playing the night we were there. Great service. Would we recommend and/or go back? Definitely! Thanks for a great dinner!

8 of us went for dinner one evening. Prices very reasonable. Menu lots of variety Lebanese wise. Our server was great. Beer menu limited. Wine menu pretty good ..I would go back

We ordered several appetizers, but the stand out was the figs and cheese. Wish I'd gotten several of this and less of the falafel and other items. The food was very good overall but too much rice compared to everything else you get.

So this was my first time eating Lebanese food. I actually had the rice with lentils at the market a few years ago but that places closed and it was to die for. But this time I tasted a whole bunch of things which were ok.. I don’t think I would do it again. I have to say the decoration was awesome I loved the place and the staff was super super nice

As per the comment written by peka2018, I too was apart of this table and am embarrassed that I made the reservation at Mazaars New Year’s Eve. It was such a disappointment that making a reservation and having a set menu still resulted in a 3 hour dinner. I’d like to reiterate that the wine glasses were removed prior to dinner and for one of my guests who did order wine, the second round he was brought a different type by mistake which ended up being a $15 glass of wine! The waitress came to the table to verify that it was a mistake but did not compensate him with the price. Half of our party had to leave without getting their desert as it was 11:30! I asked for take out boxes 3 TIMES, and finally asked a waiter who wasn’t even serving our table. In addition I asked our waitress to bring out the champagne with our desert but once again had to remind her as this didn’t happen. Despite this terrible service the most disrespectful part of it all was that our waitress or the other girl who was helping her at the till did not apologize for all of the mishaps!!!!! The food was AMAZING however when it comes to bad service I do not see myself returning....
