Received a phone call from Mayflower asking about allergies, and if they could delivery earlier than requested and letting us know there were some extras included for free.

They always deliver and pay attention to requests closely. The deep fried starter for two is great value. If forced to point to one thing I’d like improved it would be a bit more chicken in the soup.

Food was poor. Chichen was chewy and strandy. Never had chicken like it before in my life to be fair. Food was also very salty, not impressed at all, so i won't be looking at restaurant reviews in the future...

Food arrived on time so the service was good however, I was disappointed with the quality. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was disappointing and this ended up being a very expensive meal which I didn’t eat.

Decided to order here as they offer Thai red curry. Order arrived early but they got the order wrong. Delivered chicken satay skewers (peanuts) when I ordered salt and pepper chicken, they also delivered some generic chicken Chinese dish rathe than Thai red curry. Called them straight away and they sent the delivery driver back. She tried to tell me the Chinese chicken dish was Thai red curry but it most defiantly wasn’t. It didn’t smell, taste or look anything like a Thai curry, it hadn’t seen coconut milk in its life! She took both dishes back and then after 2 more phone calls they cooked and re-sent the salt and pepper chicken. They offered to put coconut milk into the thai dish and re-heat it…err no thanks, just refund it! Had to put res rod order in the oven whilst we waited for the lay dish to arrive which was about 45 mins after the initial order. As my partners thai curry was a disaster he had to drive out and get fish and chips! (More cost and time) So finally me and my mum got to eat the Chinese, it was so underwhelming! The pork dumplings had no taste and the pastry was gloopy and thick, I only ate half of one dumpling throwing the rest away. We ordered mushroom fried rice but only to go with the Thai curry so no one wanted that. My mums pork fried rice was so bland, literally boiled rice with a few pork bits and peas. The salt and pepper chicken was ok. We spent over £40 on takeaway and threw 80% of it in the bin. Never again will I order from here, don’t know how they got so many great reviews. Also as a side note, you can’t be sending people dishes with peanuts in it randomly, if one of us had a peanut allergy the whole order would of had to be returned! As it was trying to navigate the menu as a diabetic turned out to be difficult when dishes were sent not as described or passed of as other items.

I enjoy the food from the Mayflower and will keep ordering from there because it takes like proper food, not just fast food, it tastes home cooked - full of flavour and fresh ingredients.

Very pleasant lady delivered our Beef Curry and Sweet n Sour King Prawns Balls. My curry was lovely and Pete said the King Prawn Balls were the best he's had! Not over cooked so nice and succulent. Very pleased, thank you May Flower!

The chicken balls where very soggy and the batter was too thick it was a little tasteless. The duck pancakes though were lovely.

Last night's was superb, back how I remembered after a couple of hit and miss ones. Very nice 👌

The food has been a disaster. The noodles were too crispy and looked like somebody fried some cup noodles. Also the beef looked more like gum and wasn’t eateble at all. And more shrimps in the meal would good. And the dish needs more sauce. The duck in the Roast Duck Chow Mein was anything but roasted which was really a disappointment. The fried chicken sweet sour could have used more sauce. I hope you can fix this to make your meals better

The service quality already guaranteed a good review, but the food itself was so nice! Very tasty and hot, the king prawn curry had a lot of onions and not many prawns but it was very tasty, the samosas where so good but too spicy for me... I'll have the second one tomorrow with a glass of milk! Loved the crispy seaweed, not too salty like I found elsewhere. Thank you for everything, will definitely order again!

Best Chinese I have had around this area! 5* customer service, the restaurant called me to ask if I was vegetarian because the BBQ sauce contained meat and the lady was so so lovely on the phone and it was also the best delivery we have received as the lady who rang us also delivered our food and we have a very protective doberman dog who always barks and growls at people who come to the door but the lovely lady who came to our door was so softly spoken and happy that our dog didn't react aggressively but actually wanted to be fussed by her, I will be buying my Chinese from this restaurant from now on! Much love to the amazing lady who works here ❤️ also thank you for the freebies included they was very much appreciated xx

The rice was over cooked the beef was tough and the chicken was stringy.

Won ton’s burnt and unbelievably greasy, Chicken fried rice bland and tasteless, chicken tasted weird too, worst was the bbq ribs - the sauce wasn’t bbq, some weird very salty gravy stuff. Chips were alright though.

Always order from May Flower but tonight’s or was not very nice, the chips were over cooked and hard, the chicken in both the fried rice & chow mein tasted weird and didn’t look great. Always look forward to our Chinese food from here but really disappointed with tonight’s order.

I phoned and asked for an item on the menu to be adapted for an elderly relative and they phoned me back to check exactly what I needed. I hadn't ordered from them before, but everything was well cared for, well presented, and the food was delicious. I often get a Szechwan dish for restaurants and May Flower did it properly. I had a cold and I could still taste it. No watery sauce, good flavour. Much appreciated. Will be ordering again.

Ordered from May Flower for the first time last night, food came earlier than expected. Food was delicious! Tried different Chinese takeaways where we previously lived and I think this is our favourite so far! Food was very hot when it arrived, the delivery lady was lovely and friendly! Would definitely recommend and would order again from May Flower. Thank you for the yummy food!

this is the highest rated place on just eat in my area and i really would like to warn you away from it. i'm going to be as none bias as i can be considering i had a very bad customer experience over all. - the food was early at the door the lady was nice as she delivered - Singapore vermicelli tasted of coconut which was really far from right at all it was not edible - special fried rice (moist) was what it was supposed to be but it wasn't my thing maybe someone could like it. - Sweet and sour chicken in Cantonese style, the crunchy outside of the chicken was actually pretty good but the sauce was weak in flavour it was the most edible thing to me personally out of what was ordered. i would still say it was average at best. so I called to ask about my Singapore vermicelli, I didn't try to start an argument, i wanted to be as civil as possible, even though i really didn't enjoy my whole meal overall. all i wanted was a refund on the one item that was objectively not correct i didn't get childish and tell them the whole meal was bad and i didn't shout at them even though i'm the idiot wasting my money here. In response they told me it can't have touched coconut which there's no actual way it hadn't, all i could taste was coconut, she got angry with me and then she asked her chef who said he hadn't done it? i guess... but clearly he had. she just argued at me for about 5 minutes while i just calmly asked for a refund for the 1 item that was cooked wrong and once again i never told them the whole meal was bad or try and spark conflict even after that, then i had the phone put down on me with no answers. maybe i was unlucky, but if you've not been here before it's not worth the risk. I certainly will never order from this place again.

Dumplings stodgy and chewy, very poor. Garlic chips were good, curry sayce tasted weird. Ribs were so so. Very underwhelming.

It was way too Greasey, the salt and pepper king prawns especially; everything was soggy. S&S didn't taste right. The seaweed was mostly sugar. Will not return.

Food arrived within half an hour of ordering bit of a RED FLAG on a Saturday night.It was greasey really fatty meat and tasteless.I rang to complain and apparently unless you have all the food to return they don't offer any refund.SHAMBOLIC SERVICE first time I've complained in 3years of using them

Food was near inedible, curry had a weird luminous green glow like it was radioactive, prawns were soggy and sparse and I'm currently waiting for a stomach collapse

Very authentic flavours, good portions, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Never had a disappointing meal from them. Thoroughly recommend.
