Just not great tonight. Some of the prawn crackers were ok, but some were awful. The spring rolls tasted dreadful so they went in the bin. The rest of the food was ok, but such as shame as usually nice.

Ordered a portion of lemon chicken and nowhere did this say that it came with anything other than the optional sides you choose. When it came it had a layer of pineapple which I'm allergic to, and when i rang to resolve I was told that it was my own fault for not asking it to be made without pineapples, when it never said it came with any to begin with. I was told by the rude woman on the phone that they don't have the time to list ingredients on just eat and I should ask next time!! Wasn't even nice food tbh

Delicious food and big portions. Quick delivery and food still hot. Highly recommended 👌

Very tasty food that was hot when it was delivered. They had to push the delivery time back by 20 minutes but they did communicate this via Just Eat in plenty of time before we were expecting the food

Food was late it come cold . It had sat in the bag that log it had sweated the chips are hard with soggy parts . Noodles and rice burnt . First time Iv ordered from here and daft to so I won’t ever order again . My dog even turned his nose up at it . Place needs to close its doors

Disgruntled Duo review. Unfortunately Awful. We had delivered from here before and it’s been good, but tonight the chicken chow mein went in the bin, even the cats turned their noses up at the anaemic chewy chicken. Salt and pepper chicken appetiser edible but not very salt and peppery, chips with minimal sweet and sour sauce which didn’t taste of much. The star was given for the mushrooms in gravy which were lovely and the only thing eaten

Unfortunately they forgot my prawn crackers but did refund me for those Absolutely amazing food, hands down best Chinese in North East

The best Char Sui (roast pork) fried rice. The pork itself is the best qity I've ever had from a takeaway. Some places it can be a bit fatty, but it's always top quality from here. Best Chinese takeaway in the area.

Roast Pork fried rice was really nice. Often the pork can be fatty, but it was almost 100% pure meat. Real tasty. Next time I'd probably go for wings without the sauce or it might be an idea to put the sauce is a separate container? Just a thought.

Was not the best tonyt, chips where lyk bricks, prawn toast soggy and was more grisel on the spare ribs than meat

We ordered salt and pepper ribs but they were not all ribs. Most pieces were in small approximately 3cm pieces and did not have rib bones inside. Some had one or two small, white cylindrical bones running through them. We aren't sure what part of an animal they were from but they weren't all ribs. Most of the container was full of vegetables.

The food was absolutely perfect. Generous portions, fast delivery and was nice and hot. Delivery driver was polite and friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

Full order was not correct, items missing.

Pregnant customer here spent the past hour chasing my dog ! My gate was left open by driver even though it is very obvious I have a dog as he was present when food was delivered. Unfortunately not the first time however I was fortunate to notice before he got out.

First time using Mayflower. Food was really nice, hot on arrival and a polite delivery driver.

First time ordering from here. Food was lukewarm even though delivered early. We spent £60 and didn’t even get free prawn crackers. Didn’t order them as they hold expect them free for that size order. My dish was missing from the delivery so I tried calling them on the number listed. This was someone’s actual mobile who said they were nothing to do with the Mayflower so we had no other way to contact. I have contacted Just Eat about the missing food and the lack of contact number but no response yet. No chance we will order from them again and they should be made to add an actual number too.

Food was very good. We were impressed. The only thing that let them down was that they only gave me half my order when I went to pick it up. As a result, I had to drive all the way back to get the rest and the food was colder than it should've been. Annoyingly, the noodles the kids were missed first time round, so they ended up going to bed late. They were very apologetic though and gave us prawn crackers for the trouble,. Ironically the crackers were the only food item that we were underwhelmed by. We will give them another try as we enjoyed the food. I'll just double check the full order is there next time!

We've never had a problem before,but our food last night was awful,the chips were cold and the gravy was tasteless and like black sticky toffee,not what we're used to from mayflower,it went into the bin

Very long delay but we were informed after placing order would have been good to know this before paying or if they had thrown a bag of prawn crackers in as a good gesture

Food cold and wrong items delivered, 45 mins late

I have used Mayflower for many years but constant price rises, reduced portion sizes and poor quality of the food over all means I won’t be using them again. For example, I ordered 2 starters and 2 mains, I upgraded to salt and pepper chips (which were completely different to what they usually are, they were covered in what appeared to be Paprika very little flavour except salt) this cost me £29.50 which is way higher than all of the other Chinese take-aways in the area! An absolute disgrace and a rip off, when I queried the cost the woman on the counter slammed down the bill and told me that was the price and pretty much like it or lump it. In fact the entire meal was tasteless apart from being so salty I could feel my arteries closing as I ate! I think they spilt the salt in the pan and just kept on going. From about 23:00 hrs last night my wife has been feeling really sick and nauseous and has been awake numerous times with pains in her stomach. Conclusion, this was an overpriced meal which was cooked by someone with no idea how to balance flavours, never again!

get the old chefs back. pink inside of the chicken ball and noodles was really salty but aside from that everything was alr. before the new chefs arrive food was perfect!

Food was mediocre at best. Special chow mein had next to no meat and was salty. Chilli beef was okay. Lots of sauce and beef was chewy. Rather disappointed.

Food used to be amazing wouldn’t go anywhere else but these past couple weeks it has been horrendous. Some parts of chicken balls are pink and some are burnt. The noodles taste funny and the rice is very dry. Get the old chef back pleaseee

Sadly the chicken soup was gristly and we wernt able to eat and also the noodles in my crispy noodles were extremely oily I was un able to eat. The chicken Cantonese style was spot on as was the rice. Just disappointed in the noodles and soup.

Would of been 6/6 on all aspects. However forgot the prawn crackers, which I paid for.

Have used Mayflower on a regular basis for years (since it became Mayflower and before), and have always argued that it's far superior to the other Sacriston Chinese Takeaway. Until tonight! Overall, it was appalling! The two rices were hard, the salt & pepper chips cold, the spring rolls uncooked, and the House Special Chow Mein (dry) and the chow mein were tepid, wet, and soggy. In fairness, the Sweet & Sour chicken balls and the mushroomswere as good as always. My wife threw her meal away after just a couple of bites, and my daughter only ate half of hers. All in all, a complete waste of £33.50

The food arrived 15 mins late,but it is a very busy late December so understandable, the food was outstanding as it has been the last few times I have ordered, I will be ordering again 😀

Not bad at all. Pricey though (4 Starters and 4 Mains). I was surprised that no freebies were delivered as our usual adds in extras when you place a good sized order. Could do with a bit more honey with the ribs. Delivery was £3.50 after spending over £60.
