We dined here in October having watched the series was very excited to try, we got there about 45 mins early (raining outside) was told by the groud floor receptionist of the Blue Fin Building we were too early and to get a coffee in one of the shops outside, but was letting people behind us sit down and wait, so we ignored her and waited, 15 mins later we were allowed up to the bar/When we went into the restaurant we were advised 2 of the chefs (Ping Coombes and Jack Lucas) we had paid to see had called in sick, we got the 2013 winner Natalie Coleman instead, she seems a lovely lady but when you are expecting to see all 3 2014 finalists it was very disappointing, they gave us her receipe book to recompensate, overall the food was lovely and would like to try next year hopefully with a bit more sucess !!

The rooftop bar setting was lovely, great views over London. The restaurant itself was very canteen like, not very luxurious. There was a viewing window to see the chefs at work but it was very crowded. The food was okay, I've had better. The sharing portions were very small for the price. The Masterchef chefs did come out midway through to have photos but only went to certain tables so you had to be lucky to get a photo/chat with the contestants. I think they've definitely used the Masterchef brand to hike up the price of average food. Good experience though but won't be going again next year.

This was a two choice set menu, recipe cooked by either a Master Chef winner or a Master Chef contestant. The food was innovative and superb, the courses were fresh and delicious and beautifully presented, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and all whilst enjoying views over London of St Pauls, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge, the Shard and many many, more gorgeous pieces of ancient and modern architecture. The service was neither rushed or stuffy and best of all, when the chefs had finished cooking they came out into the restaurant to mingle with us to make sure we were happy, take on board our opinions and answer questions. A truly wonderful and unique treat :-D

I've been to Manze's Tower Bridge Rd about a dozen times over the years. The pie and mash has always been totally authentic and just perfect. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I saw them today taking time to explain to several tourists what the food was all about. The surroundings are also exactly how they should be for a traditional Pie & Mash shop. 10 out of 10 all round! I find my own experiences here totally at odds with the few negative reviews. Either they were really unlucky or had unrealistic expectations of what authentic pie and mash should be.
