Can honestly say the best takeaway in North Shields in terms of taste, value and freshness outside of Dominos Pizza/Papa Johns/Pizza Hut etc, great deals 👍 Got two 12 inch pizzas and a portion of chips for less than £15!

Great customer service. Guy taking orders was friendly and very personable. Joked about curry sauce not being an option, came home to find the staff had made some for us. Will definitely go back.

Very pleasantly suprised how good the food was, size of the cheesy nachos box was bigger than expected and fully loaded, cheesy chips were perfect and even the tub of salad was a proper tub quality tub of fresh picked kebab shop salad. Yes i will go back!

Mixed wrap number 3- the lamb and chicken one- is absolutely amazing. The bread is also fantastic in case anyone was wondering, these are proper home made wraps. I got mine with chips and garlic sauce. You could choose salad instead or chilli sauce. Excellent value for money and super fast delivery as always 👌

Incredible service!! Bit confusion over my order but to be fair to them they sent me a full new order as well unbelievable never had service like this from any take away and the food is of high quality fair play pizza was one of the best I’ve had and the kebab supreme was amazing great service highly recommended

Massimos is our favourite pizza place! A bit more on the expensive side but the pizzas are amazing and definitely the best garlic sauce around. Drivers are lovely and customer service is great.

One year in and Massimos have always been amazing - it's part of our life now; shish for us - who else does that so well near here ? brilliant; deliver or collect. Charged me £24.50 for a 12 inch pizza with 10 bits of pepperoni on it. Was expecting a 14” and double pepperoni. Called the shop to complain and was told that it’s normal! I asked them to check, was told No and hung up on.

Order 2 sauces didn't get, pizza not well cooked, usually is as send a message to the chef. £38 order. Disappointing

Delicious bolognaise pizzas, top marks for the garlic and chilli sauce, delivery is always on time and the staff are friendly and helpful they go above and beyond.. No word of a lie when i say this is our favourite takeaway!

Normally never have a bad wors to say but ordered from here a couple of month ago amd got a raw chicken kebab gave the takeaway shop the benefit of the doubt that it was a one off. Ordered again in October as it was my daughters birthday and I always order pizzas from here for parties as they are half price if you collect (4th time ordering a large amount for a party amd I always get them half price as it states in their menu ) I ordered 15 pizzas and was offered free delivery as I ordered so many. However I was overcharged ( i paid double what i should of ) and when I phoned back up they said I didn't get the pizzas half price as advertised as they now only do 6 pizzas half price and the manager tried to say he told me this on the phone ( I didn't even speak to him on the phone it was a women i placed the order with and i asked her if they were half price and ahe said yes). He then tried to say I was charged delivery and he couldn't give me that back as he has already paid the delivery driver. Safe to day I won't be ordering from this pizza shop again.

Worst food ever...don't use this place..kebab meat is from a packet definitely not from the spit.thick and vile..part of order missing even though called in to collect when I rang to complain they didn't want to do anything about it. absolutely disgusting..will never recommend. Ripping people off...

Ordered a grilled chicken kebab and received a box of chicken with a pitta bread on top - no salad, no sauce, not even assembled.

Arrived quickly, hot and fresh. The best kebab wrap we have had in a while, it was huge!

Kebab didn't have much flavour at all meat was poor chips were ok feel its went downhill recently

First time trying here and it will be the last. £55 for soggy cold chips. Ordered 2 kids cheese burger meals and a 6oz cheeseburger meal, two different prices for the exact same “size/weight” burgers. The bolognaise paramo was tasteless once you cut off the burnt bits, which was most of the Parmo!! Salad was not fresh at all. Really disappointed after reading some of the reviews. Definitely won’t be buying from here again

Ordered online at 11.07pm NYE, believing they were open til midnight. Never delivered but money was taken from my account. It transpired they had closed early. Still awaiting a refund

Love the place been there for years and only place I will go for a certain seafood pizza as I can choose what I like but lately just an ordinary order young staff cocky no it all correct anything they thing there top nothing like for the sake of sorry even if it gets sorted after threw other staff they still need to own up to the consequences apoligise but because there higher nowr the same people look down I won't say names but they've been warned spoils me to put a bad reputation on something that's been good towards goodchildren for years with respect

After traveling up from Liverpool I was completely let down. No garlic sauce! It could have been great but I was let down by this. I'll try somewhere else next time. Not good.

Chose this place over our regular as they could deliver earlier, and we were starving. SO glad i took a punt the food was so much nicer, the chips were still crispy and not steamed to death in a polystyrene box during delivery, decent pizza base and one of the best burgers I have had from a 'standard' takeaway. Bonus points for how all the packaging could just go in the recycle bin and job done. Can't wait till i have to order again.

Great pizza and at a good price

The kebab here is spot on. Like properly good. I moved to Shields 7 month ago. I love a kebab. Struggled to find a good one. Had loads of ropey ones from other places. The meat here was cooked properly and was sliced thinly. The pitta was decent. The salad was nice. The sauces (got both) were ideal. The only downside is that the wife liked the look of it so greeded some off me. This will now become my regular.

Paid £13 form the 12 inch chicken tikka pizza and a portion of chips. The chips were soggy mushy fried that sweated in the carton box so those went to waste and the pizza had an off chicken taste to it I didn't like it at all. I won't go again

Food has always been great, however on our latest order we opted for delivery. I have no problem with paying a delivery charge (£3.00) for around 1.5 mile but I am strongly annoyed at then being charged an extra 50p for choosing to pay the delivery driver with cash. I know 50p isn't a lot but its the principle. In future I'll be going elsewhere in North Shields for our takeaway 😡

Best pizza shop in Shields. Delivery is always rapid too. Its a little pricer than some of the other places though

Waited 2 hours for 1x 10" 2x chicken p no apologys just it's just left the shop now every time I called them I called them 3 times all I got was it will be 20 minutes or its just left now. Called contalental pizza £17:60 compared to £32:50 and they says 20 minutes JUST AS GOOD QUALITY IF NOT BETTER.

Food is nice but twice they have forgotten all sauces for a big order. Second time I even added a note to the order to remind them of the sauces and they still brought none 🙃

Not the cheapest pizza's in shields but well worth paying that little bit more very nice pizza well definitely be back

Digusting customer service I ordered the right food and got delivered the wrong foodand somehow I am to blame shocking customer service, and didn't even attempt to correct the mistake instead just hung up. wont be here again very expensive for your food and even more expensive when you can't eat whats delivered . Believe me better takeaways in the area that do care about keeping your business

I have previously reviewed as 5 star as food has always been fresh, hot and tasty. However service recently has dropped hugely. 2nd consecutive order in less than two weeks where I've only had half my order delivered. Feel for the drivers going backwards and forwards due to constant mistakes! Very loyal customer lost as it defeats the point if half my meal comes over 20 minutes later!!

Good quality for the price, honest offer. Let there be no confusion - it has nothing to do with Italian pizza, but nice if you're hungry and need some fast-food immediately.

Like the chicken here the wings tend to be a little larger and chard nicely. Unfortunately we have had the wrong order twice and you cant get a meal deal with sweet potato fries so it costs alot more.

Spongy pizzas with so much choice!! There is so much to choose from this place and everything is of a really high quality. The pizzas taste amazing and come with stuffed crust, and kebab stuffed crust!! The variety is huge, grilled wings, nachos, amazing desserts and the BEST garlic sauce. Always got a Domino's on Sunday night, but I'll be slowly making my way through this menu now.

Massimos are a level above the rest in my opinion, the staff are great, the food is well presented and, most importantly, delicious. I may have finally found 'the one'.

Ordered food at 7.15, said it would be here at 8.20. Didn't turn up till 9.35. Stone cold. Had to heat food up again. Really disappointed on price paid. Rather pay Greggs £30!

This is the 2nd time our order has been wrong, we took the food back this time and the guy refused to give us our money back as he said it said on the bill with chilli when he asked us verbally whilst doing the order! Not going back!!! 😡

The food itself is very nice, but is really expensive £32:50 for 3 chicken kebabs 2 with chips 1 with salad and 1 extra small carton of chilli seems excessive

UPDATE: 26/04/2019 Ordered from Massimo's again tonight, and had a 14" Quattro Formaggi (4 cheese) pizza. To say that it was delicious and cooked to perfection is an understatement. The pizza from here was unbelievably good, with all of the four different types of cheeses coming through in flavour. The pizza was comparable to to what you would get in a famous New York pizza shop if you ordered either a single slice or a 'full pie'. Try this place for your pizza cravings. You will certainly not be disappointed. Ordered from here for the first time tonight. Glad I did. The pizza was absolutely gorgeous. Enjoyed every last bit of it. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Really excellent pizzas. Fantastic deals when the special offers are available. I've only ever collected my orders but the always seem to have plenty of drivers so delivery should be fine.

Maybe not always perfect BUT their Turkish pizza with cheese stuff crust and extra anchovies is sublime and the stuffed jalapenos are equally great. My wife likes the wraps. They are my go to pizza delivery order.

After reading all the hype of the other reviews I was really looking forward to food from here. Disappointed though I'm afraid. Chicken kebab was OK not over spiced in the marinade but the accompanying salad was rank, it smelled really bad and tasted worse so unfortunalty had to throw it away. 18 inch pizza looked good but was no different to any other pizza from a takeaway. Travelled all the way from Backworth to try this place but was let down shan't be coming here again.
