Don't bother. Best thing was the poppadoms. Tikka Masala ridiculously salty. Butter chicken looked like the cat had chucked it up and had a weird taste. Chopped pickled onions ! Never had that in an Indian meal. "Salad" was one slice of cucumber and lettuce. Mint sauce was brown. Aloo Gobi was ok. I will never use them again. No point complaining to them, will never get anywhere with them.

Cancelled on the app still got charged £47

We ordered a banquet, set meal for 8 people. We could pick our own starters, mains and side dishes. The food was ready on time as requested and Syed helped us carry the order to the car. The food was absolutely delicious and all portions were hearty, meaty and well flavoured… and the left overs heated up as a great breakfast the following day! We highly recommend this takeaway.

Really disappointing. We had a Chicken Madras which was the best of a bad bunch. MH Special was ok. Chicken Tikka Saagwala was unimaginably bland. Would I go back here? No. Not cheap either by any means. Below average food. No recommended. Poor.

Great food at a decent price with super fast delivery. Highly recommended. And yes, i am a paying customer not related to any of the staff and have no vested interest in the establishment other than i just like a good curry in a hurry which is delivered to my door.

As a family we like the food here but tonight will be the last time we use them! Last few times we’ve had something missing from the take away and had to go back to pick it up without an apology or any compensation or arrived to pick up and been left waiting half an hour as if they didn’t have our order without an explanation! Always given them another chance but tonight not only was the order nowhere to be found so we had to wait for it to be made, the guy was really rude and seemed put out by their own mistake! No apology, no explanation and no compensation. Not even a poppadom! There is another Indian take away in Howden and I will pay more for the better service

Superb restaurant quality takeaway. We've ordered from Masala Hut a few times now and the quality of the food has always been excellent. Staff are friendly and the prices aren't bad for the quality you get.

RIP OFF !! We used to go here quite regularly and get a lovely donner kebab which came in a naan bread and included chips and some salad. We went tonight and ordered the same and to our surprise when we got it home its just donner meat and chips for the same money, I phoned and asked if the naan had been left out and apparently it doesn't come with it any longer or salad......so it's the same money for less....we definitely won't be using this place again. Shame cos the food is delicious but thats just a p*ss take. Be careful what you order and ask what comes with it.

Absolutely disgusting service! I was spoken to very rudely by a delivery driver who I can only assume is new. I have never been spoken to so rudely- and would never speak to a customer in such a way myself! The food has always been very good but the disgusting display of ‘service’ I revived today means that they have lost a customer. I can see from a previous review that this is a repeat issue and needs to be addressed before their reputation is ruined.

Food is good but appalling delivery service. 2 months ago had a 2 and a half hour wait for delivery, having been told 1 hour. Tried again last week - the quoted 1 hour was 2 hours. And when you call to ask about it, the staff aren’t service-oriented at all. Shan’t use again.

Wrong item very disappointing no customer service at all never again

First time ordering. Very nice meal. Unlike previous comments, the delivery driver was a nice polite man. It’s not fair to try to encourage people to not order from here. The food was lovely.

Food was really nice it a shame about driver asked "where i got number?" i told him on line he then progressed to tell me They dont deliver here as it 7 miles...... no it not it 5.5. Very rude and agressive tone. Told him would not use them again and will advise others the same. It says nothing about mileage only over £15.00 for delivery

Absolutely astonished at how rude the man that just dropped our food off was! Disgusting! We ordered our food at 9:00pm via just eat, it turned up at 9:50pm and the guy looked like he wanted to flay me! He put the bag on the door step, puffed his chest out with his arms apart, and with a very aggressive tone proceeded to bollock me, on my doorstep, about how they don’t work past 10pm!! Firstly, it wasn’t 10pm yet! And secondly, if your desperate to be out the door by 10pm then don’t take peoples money online after 9pm! I have NEVER been spoken to so horrendously by a company taking my money! I will never ever go anywhere near this place again, and will actively encourage others to stay away! There’s no excuse for speaking to customers like that! Such a shame, when it was spice garden the guys there were amazing, as was the food. Massive downfall on all fronts! Avoid!

Naan bread was mouldy, partner had finished most of his meal before we noticed. We packed up everything that was left (rice chips, naan, popadoms/dips, almost a full curry of mine and what was left of the starter) they collected it, had to argue for a refund they were rude throughout any communication we had. After waiting a week for the refund it never appeared, we called to chase and were told they wouldn’t be refunding after all and hung up on us. THEY ONLY HAVE A 2* HYGIENE RATING Reported to the council also

I Ordered to be delivered took around an hour to come which was expected as it was a Saturday night. Chicken Jalfrezi, pilau rice and keema naan. When it came food was hot but was not as tasty as other Indians in the area. Zolsha is the one I’m afraid!

Great take away, good food, good prices

Good selection of vegetarian dishes. Delicious food especially the paneer tikka masala. The two sides we ordered weren’t that great (saag paneer and chana masala) but everything else was excellent. Will be ordering again.

This take away is a absolute gem. The menu is varied so something for everyone. You can order online tho we chose to ring our order through. The order was ready when they said it would be ready and was piping hot. Very, very flavoursome, fresh and tasty food. We actually visited twice and tried different items form the menu and were not disappointed at all. Their onion rice is absolutely divine. Would definitely recommend to others and would visit again if we were in the area.

Best Indian takeaway had in a long time !! Everything cooked perfectly, very tasty, good portion , highly recommended the onion bhaji they were beaut. Fast delivery and very polite staff, just couldn't fault. Well done Massala Hut, will highly recommend to all our friends.
