Masons Arms Inn in Swansea

Heard good things about the food since calling in for a pint after a hike during the Summer. Especially as we had my parents who are advancing in age with us, social distancing was particularly important. The staff managed to pull this off with partitions between tables which were neither obtrusive nor claustrophobic. The pub was really cosy and the staff were great. As for the food, I cannot recall when I had a Sunday Lunch so full of flavour. Lovely el dente green cabbage, tasty carrots and generous tender beef and pork. Two courses for £12.45, (November 2020).A very traditional lunch which was value for money. Having the option to have leeks in cheese sauce and red cabbage for a couple of quid more would make it perfect.

Went for lunch with work colleagues. Amazing! Every thing piping hot and plenty of vegetables and gravy to go with meat. Parking good too. Would recommend.

We were a family party of 40,for Sunday lunch, in December 2019,we liked the atmosphere in bar area, we knew we would fill it,while having a drink,waiting for our 2 pm table, we were late sitting down,but didn't really bother us as we were chatting,starters came out ok, cleared quickly,obviously mains took longer due to our numbers,unfortunately vegetable s brought out first, so got cold, meats nice,all a bit disappointed at amount of potatoes, new and roast, plenty of gravy, but no more potatoes,we did ask, desserts, ok, overall, just the potatoes and hotness let meal down

Attended a pre-arranged Christmas Lunch with work colleagues in the week. Whilst the dinner was hot and tasty, sadly the turkey was not proper carved turkey, but turkey slices which was a let down, everything else lovely. It was all decorated nicely, with friendly staff.

Visited here for the first time after being told it was dog friendly. Very friendly staff and locals. Have been twice in the last week. Meals were superb. Very tasty with generous portions.Both food and drinks very reasonabley priced.Would recommend for a great meal in a lovely setting.

Good choice Inc specials. Large portions and good value. Lovely atmosphere albeit quiet as in not busy. Only criticism is that plates were not heated. Will look forward to returning.

We were recommended by a friend to try this fur Sunday Lunch.We arrived early and we were lucky to have a table. I would recommend booking! The service was professional yet very personal. We had a choice of 3 meats or a little of each. We had a choice of regular or large. We went large, wow!! Huge plates! Vegetables extremely tasty and well seasoned. We managed to squeeze in desserts which were homemade and comforting and very tasty. We looked at the weekday menu, which we will be coming back to try on the back of delightful experience....oh and we met Digby!!

First visit today ....for Sunday lunch, recommended by my friend & I could see why. Wonderfully quaint, traditional old coaching inn. Roast dinner was one of the best I've had and served on lovely hot plates...so rare these days, thank you. I was very impressed with the lady who took our order....friendly, attentive & patient with our various requests for vegetarian option, gravy etc! You made the whole experience special & memorable, thank you so much. I cannot wait to return.

Cosy, quaint old (17th century) "proper" pub (unusual these days!) with real fires and very welcoming staff (and digby,the dog). Lovely pub steak n chips cooked well. Extra friendly and patient with our "active" 6 year old, thank you! A new beer garden at back would be a great addition for summer as its in a lovely spot. Def will be back.

Food was ok, tables were very close together, it was a bit like eating in an old folks home, a different Sunday Lunch

Lovely welcome off the lady behind the bar. (Happy birthday) by the way. Food was superb as always. And I was so happy to see not just the old chocolate lab, Digby, who I love to fuss. But one of his pups. Had a great time in a relaxed atmosphere. Clean and friendly place. Would recommend it even tho its a little out of the way. A hidden gem . Ample car parking. .. will be back soon .

Came here with my Dad and some of his friends for Sunday lunch. Beautiful meat, plentiful veg, good pint of bitter, and very quick and attentive staff. Would advise arriving early on a Sunday as it was really filling up by the time we left.

Yo, mi novia, mi hija y su soulmate, fuimos para una comida en esta premisa y fue una comida hermosa. No tengo quejas o problemas. señora que nos tenía una personalidad encantadora, y era tranquilo en el tiempo que estuvimos allí, que nos ayudó a escuchar otros hablando. Volveré en el futuro.

Precioso almuerzo ayer. Mi esposa y yo comimos aquí elegí la parrillada mixta que era excelente y mi esposa tenía el salmón en salsa de eneldo, que decía que era magnífico. Había un miembro del personal muy simpático bar Leanne que no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Sin duda volveremos.

El menú tenía una buena variedad de comidas y había mucha variedad en las ofertas especiales. tendremos que volver a probar los demás platos. La comida era sabrosa. Personal muy agradable, era encantador, el quemador de madera, como hacía frío fuera y acogedor por dentro. Sin duda volveré

El almuerzo de domingo muy agradable, a menudo comer aquí. El personal es siempre encantador. Encargado a un chico tranquilo, como introvertido. Él es el chef, no hay gente, pero esto no significa que él es grosero. Él es un chico tranquilo.

Llamado en los brazos de Mason en el camino a casa para una bebida. El arrendador o barman o lo que fuese, estaba en el parque de coche, así que preguntamos qué hora abrían. El dijo 5 o'clock y como era 5 pasado 5 nos dijo que nos gustaría tomar una copa. Él dando vueltas hasta la puerta arrastrando un bin posees lleno de madera para el fuego. No sólo no abrir la puerta para nosotros, pero que dejó la papelera en frente, así que tuvimos que apretujarse pasado! Pedimos una pinta de bitter (no está mal) y una pinta de Fosters (apartamento). Dos de las 3 and bitters", estaban fuera. Mi novia tenía que pedir las luces para convertirse en el inodoro. Esto fue hecho mala gana. Él era maleducado todo parecía pensar que era una molestia en vez de clientes que, con el tiempo, pasar una buena cantidad de dinero pagando sus salarios. El pub estaba limpia y el menú estándar de grub de pub parecía estar bien. Por desgracia, estaba decepcionado por su actitud. No hace falta decir que no puede pasar nada de nuestro dinero en efectivo duro-ganado en el Mason's en el futuro y recomendaría Tripadvisor todos los lectores para evitar. Hay muchos más acogedores pubs de Swansea.

Went out for a run in very windy and wet conditions and after a while wanted somewhere to eat. After going through some lovely narrow country lanes came upon this Inn, Very very cosy inside but seemed spacious at the same time with 2 fireplaces...
