The staff are all so lovely and I had a bit of a wait for my food but the lady behind the counter was so kind and lovely to me and I’ll will be coming back again

Looked good from outside. Food took ages to come, I ordered a meat and potato pie which was terrible. My friend was charged £1 for tap water!!! Service was awful. First and last visit!

Been looking forward to trying here. But unfortunately didn't meet the expectations from the photos on Facebook and the price was expecting better quality and more flavour. The curried chicken sauce was tasty but only contained 5 pieces of chicken chunks which was very dry as if it had been overcooked in a slow cooker. The pepper soup was just an average stew with mush carrots and a gravy like sauce that was thick like mash because the dumplings had literally dissolved into it, some parts of the meat was hard round the edges. The mac and cheese was well over cooked and was also mushy. The flavour on the spicy mac was nice but again a mushed up pasta dish. The dumpling portion was the worst flour wasn't cooked, giving it a powdery grainy flour taste. Best dish was the jerk chicken pieces. For a £50 order I felt disappointed and won't be in a rush to go back. Shame really as carribean food is my favourite

Popped in whilst we were in the nearby area and have to say it was a great breakfast. The bacon being the highlight and the friendly service. Would deffo go back! :)

The food from here is exceptionally amazing! Wow! Cannot fault it at all! When there’s a hole in your stomach n you don’t know what you need then order from here because it hits the spot! Love it!

Order food with work as a little treat before Xmas. Very surprised by the menu. We all ordered southern fried chicken wrap & chips and one got a veggie wrap. Also ordered a side of salt and pepper chips. The wraps were lovely and enjoyed by all members of the group. Salt and pepper chips were lovely too.

Not cheap, but beautifully cooked good quality food. It was a very pleasant surprise to get Lorne (square) sausage.

We ordered a Full English for breakfast …. Which was great - freshly cooked with care, nothing soggy, good quality & tasty. Coffee good - from Ronaldo’s in Kendal. We arrived at 0930 on Saturday morning & there were plenty of tables available.

popped in for lunch before heading to catch a train, gave ourselves plenty of time, over an hour in fact.... sat outside as it was a nice day, guy came to take the order, two hot drinks, breakfast wrap & the jerk chicken..... drinks arrived after 10mins with the receipt so we paid, waited....and waited.....so husband went inside to ask how much longer we would be waiting, we were told 10mins, so waited & waited again, to no avail, 35mins we asked for the food to be boxed up as we wouldn't have time to eat it & then walk to the station. after walking to catch the train we could finally eat our lunch an hour later, food was lovely and still hot, the jerk chicken my husband said was really nice. would've given 5/5 if only we were served lunch & not had to wait as long, as the deliveries took priority as it wasn't busy inside.

Called just for ice cream, and feel a little misled, as the overall persona of the cafe is home made good quality food. We ordered just ice cream each, but was served from a tub from a supermarket, not the impression I expected. It was cheap, just 1 pound a scoop, but...............

We ordered 2 coffees and 2 chicken wraps with chips. The coffees took 10 minutes to arrive and the food took 35 minutes to arrive. Considering the place was pretty much empty apart from one other couple, this was far too long. The lady comes to you for payment before you've had your food so we couldn't just get up and leave and trust me, we really felt like it because we were fed up of waiting. When it finally arrived, there was no apology for the time it took to get our food. The chicken had obviously been deep fried more than once. It was very dry and chewy. It reminded me of the crispy beef you get from a Chinese restaurant. All in all, a very disappointing experience and we definitely won't be going back.

Got some food delivered to my house and it was literally THE BEST jerk chicken I've ever tasted in my life! Been ordering from here for a while now and I have never been disappointed 10/10

Ordered online food arrived early and piping hot, kids demolished there meals and milkshakes. My Mas crispy chicken burger was to die for, so much better than KFC, will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered two breakfasts and paid extra for toast which did not arrive. We had to remind the girl who served us and she was very apologetic and said she would bring them shortly. We both finished our breakfasts and the toast still had not arrived so we reminded her again. This time it did come but this has put me off from returning.

Ordered from here for myself and some friends while on holiday from “Ulverston eats”. I ordered the jerk chicken but the only jerk I got was the staff. Firstly, the restaurant called and said they effectively wouldn’t deliver, and could we pick it up. After lengthy negotiations, they agreed to deliver. They took the money quicker than they delivered. Some time later, the driver called and said she wouldn’t drive up to the property because she was scared and it was horror-movie-esque. Not really sure how I can fend off a new age Michael Myers but anyway. Feeding time (hallelujah, or so I thought?) The food made me wish I had coronavirus so I couldn’t smell or taste it. When I opened the container, I saw the world’s smallest chicken or a chick? My pals had both dry chicken and a too moist bun (well done). If you want carribean food in Ulverston just buy a cook book, I reckon you’ve got a better shot of getting it right.
