Weve visited here a couple of times as the service and food is very good. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating and have accepted changes to our order for my fussy child, even though they were quite busy. They work incredibly hard to serve everyone and keep the place really clean. Lovely coffee and tasty fresh cooked food. We will be back again soon.

Very friendly staff and lovely food. Would have given 5 star but felt the drinks were a little over priced. Also the toilets were downstairs and cafe not very accessible for wheelchair

We were in Weymouth on Euro 2020 football quarter finals night , not for the football but a pre-dinner drink. The main pubs were full, obviously, but we found Mary’s Tea Room on the Esplanade that served alcohol. Not too busy and with outside tables. Very pleasant, friendly service, not expensive and with a lovely view of the Esplanade and Bay, especially the anchored cruise ships. Will definitely go back especially earlier in the day to sit outside in the sunshine

The food was decent, the servers were attentive, and the pricing was great. They made my panini without bacon which I was grateful for as I always get places giving me meat dishes even when I ask not to. The waiter checked on us plenty and took our empty plates away. It would have been better to have more social distancing but it was outdoors and a small area, so understandably this was hard to do.

Had lunch on one day which was good. Decided to go back for breakfast the following day. Nothing special and everything tasted greasy. I know it was a fry up but all you could taste was grease. Sausages were cheap with no flavour as was everything else. Not impressed.

Called in here during our visit to Weymouth. Warm sunny day, so sat outside. Choose items of the menu and went inside to order. Long wait, place not particulary busy. Had to ask the waitress to clean the table as there were food crumbs all over it, so much for sanitising between customers. Food arrived eventually. Average quality and size, tea very weak, no taste. Not really the wow factor for a tearoom.

Ate here as busy everywhere and needed somewhere that could seat 7 together. Nice enough cafe and menu. However, terrible service and absolutely no knowledge of allergy awareness. Response to "do you have anything gluten free" was "no". I persevered with "do you do jacket potatoes" to be told "yes, but mayonnaise isn't gluten free". Total lack of understanding there then! Having ascertained that we could in fact order jacket potatoes that contained mayonnaise plus additional filings, we stayed to eat anyway. The food came out seemingly at random. Some had finished before others had been served. Food was basic and nice enough but nothing special. On pointing out that the bottled drinks served from the fridge were out of date, no reaction other than "oh right thanks"!! Still charged us though....

Looking for a light snack to keep you going when visiting Weymouth, this little cafe sits opposite the seafront with seating available in and outside. The decor inside is a little vibrant and querky with tea cup shaped lighting surrounding the interior. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, the staff are accommodating and courteous. the food itself is good, four of us opted for toasted sandwiches that came with as quoted in the menu 'a handful of chips'. Each dish cost around £7.50 per person, whilst the toastie was very nice, these are the sort of prices I would expect to pay in a hotel not a tea room on the seafront where there are plenty of alternative dining options.

Enjoyed a lovely vegetable soup and bread on a cold sunny day in Weymouth! Friendly helpful staff and lovely and clean. Was super tempted to have the chocolate egg cheese cake, but was too full after the soup! Will definitely try it next time!

I went in expecting a standard afternoon tea as it's not too expensive (£25 for 2) and was pleasantly surprised. The scones are to die for! The cake was amazing too. Not traditional in the sense of you chose one type of sandwich to have, and then have 3 fingers of that filling. Perfect for us as we have some fussy eaters in the group, but may not be to everyone's taste. but then you could always share with who you're with!

Birthday celebration over night stay with Storm Dennis, weather unpredictable one moment sunny the next raining heavily and windy. Lovely spot for a warming pot of tea for two. Friendly, welcoming and clean with fantastic views of the coastline. Well worth a pit stop. Great position. We will return. Highly recommended The tea was served in lovely china, enough for 3 cups each, added a tea cake after ordering arrived and was a good size for sharing, crisp and enough to take away the hunger pangs.

We loved it here! It was cosy and warm and they did a delicious hot chocolate. And really nice cups of tea too, we loved the super cute mismatched tea set. They did soya milk for the tea and soya hot chocolate which were fantastic. The staff were so friendly and we didn't feel hurried even though we were there until closing. It was great!

Cosy tea rooms on the seafront. Not many tables inside, but there is extra seating outside (weather permitting). The menu is what you'd expect in a traditional tea room. Reasonably priced food, especially given the generous portion sizes. Likewise, the hot drinks are fairly priced and brought to your table (as is your food)...though you do have to order at the counter. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Decor is what I'd describe as shabby chic; the most noticeable thing was the spotlessness of the cafe.

This is a cute little place with nice decor. The inside is really spacious, they could definitely fit more tables in but I won’t complain as it meant guaranteed privacy whilst we enjoyed our lunch. We only had sandwiches but they came well presented with a nice side salad and crisps. The bread was really good. It’s a shame we didn’t have the stomach for cake as the chocolate cake looked insanely good. Nice service in a nice setting, can’t complain. The choice of sandwich fillings were just a bit boring - ham, cheese, corned beef etc etc.

Walked past here several times and the other day decided to was time to give it a try. The interior of the place is very spartan with plain décor but there are several tables outside where one can while away the time people watching. Order and pay at the counter and then your order is brought to you. Staff pleasant and quick. Not too expensive either.

High tea at Mary's was a bit of a disappointment. Whilst the food was okay the tea was very weak, plus the teapot leaked everytime it was poured. Service a bit chaotic, we had to ask for plates etc. As it is situated across from the beach it is understandable that there are hard floors etc but there is nothing to absorb sound, consequently it was very noisy. We live locally but sorry to say we will not return.

Just called in for a cuppa on the sea front. Nice place, nice staff good coffee, but oh dear the tea. Although served beautifully in a teapot (not just a cup) with a little jug of milk (the cup was so pretty I had to put up my little finger, which when wearing bikers gear no doubt looked a bit strange) the tea was hot water with what purported to be one teabag. Result, slightly coloured water. Heck it was so weak, it was dreadful.

Popped in for a quick bite with my wife and kids and not very impressed at all. I don’t quite understand why it gets such good reviews. The coffees were ok, but the food a real disappointment. I had ham egg and chips. The ham was clearly straight out of a packet, and the portion size was quite poor. Chips were nice though. Kids had pizza and chips (yes, carbs and carbs). The pizza was clearly just a microwave one and the chips just cheap oven chips. One of the pizzas was even slightly burnt. When we mentioned this to one of the staff and pointed out that we were disappointed at being given microwave food, she just shrugged and said “we’ll, that’s what it is.” Poorly cooked and overpriced.

Stopped here for some lunch and wasn’t left disappointed. Staff were lovely and very attentive. We had the tuna and cheese toastie and a panini too which were both enjoyed, a strawberry milkshake which barely touched the sides for my little boy, it soon was drank and I had the tastiest cream tea with a cherry and almond scone which was gorgeous! Lovely food and drinks. Thank you!

Popped in here for breakfast last week while staying in Weymouth. A good, well cooked full English and a smashing pot of tea in a china pot with china cups and saucers. Spotlessly clean inside with smashing location right on seafront, outside seating in front to sit and watch the world go by. All in all a pleasant way to spend an hour or three!!

It was a icey Saturday morning and were in town. We came across this tea room by chance. It was lunchtime and fairly busy but managed to get a table. We only wanted drinks, which were fine. The staff were courteous and friendly. The tea room itself was very clean and tables not close together which was good. Definitely return.

Popped in for coffee and cake. I had the ferrero rocher cake which was delicious. My partner didn't have a cake as he doesn't like chocolate cake and that was all there was which was a shame. The coffee was much nicer this visit than last time as it looks as though they have a proper coffee machine now, we will be back though , hopefully there will be a better selection of cake.

For quick service and lovely food, can certainly say Muffins ticks all those boxes. Food is served hot and at perfect proportions; would happily come again. Enough seating for a family of 1-4 even if you’re just wanting a quick coffee or sandwich. All the staff are lovely and a big thank you to the woman with braces! Was very helpful and kind! 10/10

Really lovely little coffee shop, fantastic cakes and superior quality coffee. We had an American, breakfast tea, diet coke, white tiffin with cranberries, normal white tiffin and a coffee and walnut cake, latter was scrumptious! Pleasant service, outdoor toilet was basic but very clean.
