Literally the best chicken split that I ever had!!! Love the food , And very cheap

Went in a few weeks back my little girl wanted a Pattie as did I upon walking in was looked up and down by the man at the counter very rudely felt like I was an alien and shouldn’t of even been there, asked if he took card he sucked his teeth said no, I said oh can I pay for collection then via just eat or Uber eats again very rudely said no and sucked his teeth. Won’t ever be going here again it’s not just about how good food is but customer service is a must and it’s something I look for when I go into places if you haven’t got good people skills nor basic customer service running a business of this type probably ain’t the best thing to do.

We ordered from peppers through just eat, it was our first time trying this place, the food arrived within half an hour and the delivery lady was really pleasant. The food was really nice it was fresh and hot, I had the mutton and rice with peas and a dumpling the meat was so nice and tender and full of flavour the rice and peas was lovely and the dumpling was nice and crispy. My daughter had jerk chicken and said it was delicious really juicy and full of flavour, I highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t before I will definitely be ordering again soon and can’t wait to try the other food on their menu. Could be my new favourite take away 👍

Authentic carribean food really enjoyed it

Guy is a complete idiot. Went in to order and he literally looked at me as if I should be in there. Don't know what his issue is just a horrible le human being avoid at all cost

I only gave this a 5 star rating bcs the food turned out to be really nice. The rice & pea was perfectly cooked, the gravy, the chicken; finger licking & perfect for my taste buds. To be honest, i was initially skeptical but because i was so famished and wanted some tasteful meal close to African, i had a quick stop at the Carribbean restaurant -PEPPERS (i just looked up the name on google). The man who attended to me should be in his mid/late 40s or above and could have treated me better. Walked upto the counter, clueless, looking around to see a menu bcs it was my 1st time there. He was sitted & looked so reluctant to attend to me bcs he was on a call. He asked what i wanted while still seated, looking not so friendly and i told him it was my 1st time there & i had no clue what more they offer apart from the few pastries displayed. Still seated, he responded in creole/patoi/other accent which wasn't easy for me to understand. With the intent of humor, had to harmlessly tell him to just give me anything and his response with a straight face was "We don't sell anything here" and he asked for the size and just went for Large. Then i had to pay & he said he only does cash & not card transactions incase of next time which at that point i doubted if there was gonna be a next time. But with the great quality of the food, i could have a rethink to visit again if there'd be someone else there or the same man has chosen to be more friendly with customers.

Above average Carribbean food place. Jerk is cooked and not done in BBQ which for me isn't real jerk. Still taste ok and good spicy kick

Was a regular customer for here. Ordered and ate numerous times from here! Until I moved literally the next street. I placed an order ‘the OWNER’ brought the food and found him very very intimidating. Was very very rude! Shouting at me telling me he doesn’t delivery here he’s the owner I’ve taken the mick. I walked away in shock from the way I was spoken to. I currently have a business of my own serving food myself. And if he had an issue he should have rang back & cancelled the order NOT shout at me in the middle of the street. Customers are always priority. Not the money!!! Got the food in and opened. The goat was pure bone. Just loads of bone. The gravy was all over the bag. From being a really good regular customer to never ever ordering from there again. This order was a £38 order too!

This man is not serious to charge me £8 for this look at the state of this and it’s small he seen me come in and thought she got money and make up stupid prices I always buy takeaway food plus I’m Jamaican he would of got lot more money out of me but I bought the rest of meals from somewhere else it’s really not nice it’s drowned like soup don’t eat here !!

Astounded to see some of the negative reviews on here, clearly too many people used to mc Donald's delivery than real food, who orders a cheeseburger from a Jamaican restaurant.... says it all. Absolutely amazing food, best curry goat around and spice... hottest jerk chicken I've ever had. To say this is a jamaican restaurant the service is brilliant compared to many I've tried, staff always happy to help accommodate any needs and portion sizes are extremely generous.

Only place to go for authentic delicious Jamaican food. We travel from Saddleworth because no other place beats it!

Baffled as to why it says it’s open until 11 when it’s clearly not , 2 days I’ve tried phoning to order and it rings straight through , thought they might just be busy so I walked over and it’s closed ?😂 why does it say confirmed 6 days ago and lie , food is always lovely from here it’s just abit of a pisstake that it’s saying it’s open when it’s very clearly not

Ordered from here the other night on uber eats wait time was supposedly 15-25 minutes however waiting an hour and still no food was repeatedly lied to being told the food was on its way bare in mind the shop is less than a mile away. An hour and a half passes and I cancel the order however the man on the end of the phone would not let me he was rude and definitely should not be working with the public . Three hours later the food turns up and I was called names and swore at by the driver right in front of my two young children for questioning why it took 3 hours for the food to be delivered. Didn't even take the food why should we take freezing cold food after cancelling the order? However was still charged on my card. Never again would I order from here. Shocked at the way we was spoken too by both the staff in the shop and the delivery driver its shocking that they even get custom.

We love carribean food, however the food was cold on the second order and the large curry and chips might as well of been a child's portion, there was more bone than actual meat and god knows where the actual curry sauce was DRY. won't order a third time thats for sure 😡

This is the best takeaway meal I have had in Manchester. We ordered red snapper with rice 'n' peas and a veg side: delectable. Also ordered a fried chicken thigh and fried dumpling which we shared between two: succulent and flavoursome. The lady who served us was incredible polite, and gently spoken with a lovely smile. The lady in the background deserves to win a medal for her culinary tastes of perfection. The elderly gentleman was also sweet and charming. What a BRILLIANT takeway. HIGHLY recommended.

Terrible customer service! Paid 5 hours in advance for 3 meals plus side orders to be delivered at 7:30pm. No delivery so we rang the shop at 8:30pm to be told it was with the driver, still hadn’t arrived at 9pm! Rang the shop again to be told they were making it and it would be delivered shortly. The food still hadn’t arrived at 9:30pm! Rang the shop to be told the owner had forgotten to pass the order to the staff and they didn’t have the food we’d paid for to deliver anyway. Offered to pay for a taxi at 9:50pm when shop closes at 10pm to enable us to collect money paid earlier! Complained to owner who thought it was acceptable because he offered to pay for a taxi for us to collect a refund when the shop was closed/staff had left, plus he offered to refund the money the following day, give us 1 free £6.50 meal the following week 🥴 £30 spent ruined a birthday meal for 3 people stressed us all out all for £6:50 meal.

Food was late, BUT still hot and still fresh, big portion sizes for a great price. Was shocked at the size of the dumplins they were huge could only finish the one thankyou peppers just what I needed & will definitely be ordering again. 😍😋

Will never order from here again. Poor customer service. They rang us ten minutes before the order was due to tell us we are too far for them to deliver. He told us to cancel the order with just eat. Just eat said we would only get 50% of the money if peppers didn’t contact them. We rang peppers back and the man was rude questioning why she should have to speak to just eat. Wouldn’t be surprised if they have done this before to people.

just couple of days ago my partner bought a patty and it was horrible, rock solid hard , tasted as though its been on the shelf for God knows how many days ..disappointed and wont be ordering from here again.....

Honestly the best Jamaican food I've tried outside of Jamaica, not for people who don't like spice but if you do you fall in love just like I did, as Jamaican restaurants go you won't always be lucky enough to get exactly what your after but the beauty of it is that this will force you to try something different and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed with anything from their menu, the staff are human beings, if your polite and friendly you'll receive the same in return and they're always happy to accommodate any requests you may have

Lovely place clean and comfortable, atmosphere is great. Would reccomend anytime for a tasty Caribbean Meal.

I love eating here, but sadly the two lady's that used to be here have now been replaced by a man who isn't good with the public! one customer pointed out that she was being charged more than the advertised price. he was just rude with her, not helpful. the price rise was silly, a £5 meal was increased to £7 over night and all you get extra is attitude!!

Been here many times since they first opened. Excellent food. Excellent service. Real proper Spicy Jamaican food. Love the Goat Curry and Red Snapper Fish. Proper Giant Size Dumplings Served. Brilliant

My sons loved to eat there 12yr old and 5yr old always get the chips but on this acation they have put there prices up so I was short for two lots of chips. I asked the fella for one lot and a spare tray so my kids could split them “I don’t give away trays” he said so I asked if I could give him the rest of my money for a tray “don’t tell me how to run my shop I don’t care if you’re poor” he said infront of my kids. We will not be returning or ordering from there again!! No compassion and I hope he finds himself needing help and have someone respond the same way!!
