Le décor du restaurant est joli. Cependant le coucous royal était fade et n'était pas bon du tout. Nos n'avons jamais mangé un coucous aussi mauvais. Environ 40 euros pour rien !

I went with a friend who had not tried Indian food. She ordered Chicken Korma is now in love with it. The waiter was quietly attentive and we received exactly what we ordered. Delicious!

I have walked past this restaurant many times but finally forced to try it as all other restaurants were full on this Saturday night. No table clothes and paper napkins. Menu also had a page of hamburger options which is always a bad sign for an ethnic restaurant! We ordered lamb tagine and although the lamb was tender there was a lot of fat. I was put off when a member of the staff (chef in casual clothes?) approached us and said that he had cooked the lamb freshly today, did he really need to do this and what happens on other days? To my taste rather lacking in Moroccan spices although very yellow in colour (food colouring?). No alcohol available here. Asked for the bill to be brought a scarp of paper with hand written amounts to be told they did not accept credit cards but that I could get cash from a cash machine nearby! I did wonder why they were operating this as only a cash business and wonder if they were paying over VAT and relevant taxes to the HMRC. This is a very poor restaurant and is no comparison with the Moroccan restaurant on Edgeware Road, which although much more expensive with table clothes, alcoholic drinks and a belly dancer! We won't be coming back here!

We were in the area and fancied grilled meat so the mixed grill with rice & salad was just the job and a very good price. But it would have been much better if they served it on warmed plates especially as the whole place was cold due to people coming in and out to go to the shisha rooms. We also had falafel for starters which was really not good but that did not matter as the main event was very good. Nice mint tea to finish which warmed us up ready to go back out into the sub zero temperatures outside.

Good spot in a good location! The royal tagine was delicious and enough for two of us to share. Was tempted to stay for some sisha too but too tired after a long travel day. The service was good and excellent value too!

Stepping out of Queensway underground station and mixing with the chatter of sellers and buyers crowded around Arab and Oriental shops only to find my way into a small Moroccan restaurant with dark walnut tables, slightly chipped vases in Crayola orange and Munsell yellow, gold-framed mirrors and upholstered, comfortable-to-the-touch sofas typical for the Moroccan interior concept, is my way of celebrating diversity. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted and welcomed as an old friend by an energetic young man called Halim. He is new here. I am not. I don't need a menu - chicken tagine with carrots and green peas - a cumin and turmeric-seasoned dish I first tried in Jamaa el-Fna. Halim had my attention - watching him go above and beyond to ensure diners enjoyed their meals, jiggling with bills, drinks and plates, yet looking approachable and friendly, was like observing new-species adapt to this new habitat of Westminster City's stiff restaurants. I admired his passion for delivering excellent customer service; the ease with which he was running the floor; the genuine smile he had - a lot different from the usual bored-with-the-job faces, overloaded and stressed out to the brim in the countless diners across Central London. The meal was delicious and I was getting ready to leave, when Halim offered me Moroccan tea. For those who have not tried this rather sweet mint tea typical for the Maghreb region in North Africa, note that the offering by itself is a symbol of hospitality in Moroccan culture, and it is only polite to accept. It is served from silver trays and poured from a silver-teapot (berrad) into engraved tea-glasses, usually from very high up. "Halim, you didn't have to..." Yet he did. In this practically deserted restaurant with reasonably-priced, heart-warming dishes where an incredible young waiter works with energy and passion, I felt relaxed and welcome - an immediate 5 star.
