Food was delicious. Portions could be a little bigger!

An evergreen! We cant withstand the urge to come back here! The starter assortment is first class! The curries absolutely delicious, the deserts outerworldly! Not many words needed: this is a "must go" for every of our trips! Service is awesome! Considerate, friendly, helful. We - once again - had an awesome time! Thank you!

One of my favourite places, love the butter chicken thali. Great place for a get together. Best to book in advance during busy times. Can easily get a table during the weekend.

I recently went to Masala zone to celebrate my daughter's birthday, however it was a disappointing experience. The portions including the starters were horrendously small! The Punjabi samosa chaat was just a mini squashed samosa with a teaspoon of chutney and a teaspoon of yogurt which was hardly enough to even taste. All I tasted was 2 pieces of frozen potato in the samosa. The main dish of butter chicken came with only 5 pieces of chicken covered with sauce and the naan breads were tough and chewy all very pricy. The lighting at the rear of the dining hall could be somewhat brighter. The toilets lacked toilet rolls and barely any liquid soap in the dispensers. It was certainly not worth the money that we spent!!

The food was really good and so was the service. Would definitely recommend the Samosa Chat from this place for starters and Paneer for mains. If you're in the area this is worth visiting.

Unfortunately, did not enjoy. Was greatly disappointed, upset that I parted with my money for this. Would have enjoyed a curry from Tesco more. Not authentic at all, very little flavour and substance to the curry. Staff try but unf not attentive and seem young and confused.

This place has such an amazing atmosphere. We got 5 small plates and a naan and it was enough food for 3 people. Next time I come back I will definitely try their mains.

Food was nice and tast...portions are small. (Compared to your local Indian) but the taste is good.. expensive but you are paying for the location and the ambience

We have eaten at most of the Masala Zone restaurants, including those sadly now closed. However, this was our first visit to the Soho branch, and we were very impressed with all the savoury items we tried. The service was charming. The only downside was the small table, a common enough problem in London, but more of an issue when you are trying to squeeze a number of dishes into a restricted space.

Good atmosphere and enjoyed the buttered chicken and garlic naan. Starters lamb sliders was amazing!

The food was amazing, I think ordering a couple plates to share is the best tactic if you are with a group. The butter chicken was so good just a little spicy. Super nice on the inside would go back 100%.

The food was good, but portion was a bit small considering the price. My friend is allergic to peanuts and so he couldn’t east a lot of the dishes - they were also sold out of the fish curry he wanted. The rest of us ordered the thali- which was tasty but the portions felt small. We also ordered naan, mango lassis, and chai- all of which were good. Service was good & the atmosphere feels old school Indian. Overall decent

Absolutely impeccable service and food

I had dinner with a friend and the choices included some very good variations on Indian classics that I didn't recognise, but enjoyed.

Quality Indian restaurant in a nice neighborhood. The service is perfect, we only note the quantities are a little low compared to the price.

Stopped at Masala Zone while in Soho thinking this would be a good place for Chai and some small plates. Rather disappointing experience; - Masala Chai and Latte both came luke warm and had to be returned to be made again. Americano was ok. - Spicy fries obviously taken out of freezer and cooked too quickly. Some of them still cold inside and had to be sent back. - Samosa also similar problem; frozen not cooked long enough or properly and managers excuse was that the spices/chutney on the outside makes it cold and refused to do anything. Huge space with 3 tables during our short visit. Disappointing!

Frankly speaking, it is a delicious restaurant, and I thank the HASTON employee. I ordered wrongly and changed the order from the same restaurant. The restaurant is nice and the local one has increased the staff in the Soho branch.

I have eaten here twice in the last 2 weeks. I like a choice of food so as a lone diner I chose the Thali both times (butter chicken and prawn masai) which were delicious and filling. They vary the vegetable accompaniments so i did not have the same on each visit. The service was excellent and I was asked if I had any food allergies as soon as I sat down. I look forward to my next visit to sample the Rogan Josh thali!

Authentic Indian food! Slightly pricey, but worth it

We went here after we came to know that this restaurant is run by the same people who own Amaya and Veeraswamy. This is a much more relaxed setting and affordable version catering more comfort food. We ordered the Lucknow Dahi poori and the Veg Thali. Everything was very nice

Food was delicious. We tried veg thali, gajar halwa and gol gappe. All 3 of them were outstanding. At the end masala chai made my day. Must visit place for Indian cuisine in London.

Excellent service from Sai who explained certain aspects of a speciality dish in a friendly , professional way. Lamb rogan josh was superb. Really nice setting and great ambience, thoroughly enjoyed it and would be very happy to recommend

Decent food, good variety of options including meat and veg. Being in a very touristy location means it's very busy in the evenings, with a nice buzz about the place, but it does mean service is a little slow at times. Our waitress was excellent at looking after us and being attentive. It's quite pricey, as expected, but would recommend

The food is frankly delicious, the service is very wonderful, and the workers, Muskan, Sassanso, Christo, and Stephanie, are all excellent in their dealings, and the staff in general are excellent, frankly.

Used to love going to their restaurants a few years ago. Unfortunately the quality isn’t as it used to. Visited yesterday and paid 50£ just for me for a mediocre meal

Really enjoyable and reasonable masala dosa at a convenient location in Soho. Worth a visit and I’d certainly return in the future.

The mains were tasty, especially lamb dishes, but the starters are alright.

Delicious food. Great service, knowledgeable, attentive. Service charge well deserved unlike in other places. Restaurant is clean with nice atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable for such a quality meal.

The cuisine is truly excellent. Just one small problem: too much noise. The voices of customers resonate loudly in the room.

The website states that they accept NHS discount which they refused to accept. The quantity of the food was also very small- they did not give what was stated on the menu. The menus states that there would be two rotis in thali but one is divided into two.

We really fancied an Indian after a matinee of Hello Dolly. Did some research on trip advisor and chose Masala Zone. Great choice!! Food was delicious. Really helpful staff. Our waiter made sure we didn’t order too much. The restaurant was busy from the moment it opened at 5.30. Not cheap but worth it.

Two gentleman (one Indian executive) for dinner, two Thali's, two glasses of wine, no desert. Food very good, balanced lightly spiced, portions good size. Service very good. Dinning room decor and atmosphere good. Will try their other location in Covent Garden soon.

Terrible poisn in food and bone in chicken curry then they expect you to pay.

We had dinner here almost a year ago (late review!) so it’s may not be a timely opinion of the food here presently. Overall 4/5 is mainly due to the flavours/complexity of the food not being as impressive as we’d hoped for (3/5) given the priciness and the fanciness of the ambience/decor/vibes. Service was great, quick enough and polite. Ambience was also very nice. We did have a reservation on a Friday night otherwise would have had to wait about 45 mins.

I really enjoyed the food and service! Went there on a a whim with my friend, and we were really satisfied with the food. The portions are generous, and the ambiance was lovely. The Delhi Samosa Chat and the prawns for starters were lovely. I got a chicken biryani which was yummy, and my friend got the butter chicken 😍 The toilet is tiny and cramped, but that’s the least of your worries!

Masala Zone has been a long-time go-to for me when I wanted a tasty Indian meal in Soho. That opinion has been challenged by my last visit to the restaurant when I found the food to be average at best and the service to be both patchy and patronising. If the food is good the relatively high prices charged and small portions served at Masala Zone might be justified, but not otherwise. There are far better options for Indian cuisine in Soho. I won't be back.

Lovely bright ambience, lovely staff and food was amazing, the desserts are 10/10 a must try never had an Indian dessert as good as the Gajar halwa and kulfi. The food was flavoured. The staff team are attentive and well experienced. The service is 10/10

first time coming here, walked in got sat down straight away ordered and got my food within 5 minutes (worrying) food was bland, horrible, lacking flavour. Think it would have tasted better out of a jar to be honest, waste of money wouldn’t waste your time coming here disgusting

It’s so bad I waited 1hour for my food and I only ordered one thing I don’t recommend

Food was good but very spicy although it had only one chilly on the menu. Staff didn’t seem to care about us as customers (they didn’t bring all drinks we requested and had to ask 3 times to bring us water) and were quite slow with our order. I used to like this place but food quality and customer service is not the same.

I have been to Masala Zone several times now, the service is always amazing and the food very well presented and tastes lovely. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place to eat then this is definitely one to book!

We had gol guppa, vada pai and butter chicken. Delicious.

The saffron chicken korma was sooo good!

Lamb thali and chicken thali were not marked as spicy, but actually they are pretty spice and in my opinion it must be marked accordinglly in menu.

I asked for water they gave me £6 mineral water, their food doesn’t come with rice and it costs £5 pounds extra so the £16 curry becomes £21 which is far less appealing. The waiter asked if I want plain rice or a different type, not bothering to mention the fact that it is £5 extra! Also the food which the waiter said was mild was not mild at all. I would not come back here, pick a different Indian restaurant (there are a bunch)

The Vegetarian Thali was such a disappointment. Just tossing vegetables together without any flavor or spices!! Even a decent Indian dhaba can do a way better Thali. A big disappointment for the price that this place charges.ĺ

I hope the restaurant manager is held accountable first for his serious attitude and as well. the receptionist deals with racism and is unprofessional in the way she talks, I can't talk to him from the street like that, and I was recommending this restaurant to everyone who came from the Gulf, but after today the opinion will change. as we deal with more than 25 tourism companies to provide services to tourists, and bad service and unethical dealings will be shared with them. Food was good, Thalis make for a good balance of different flavours and textures, but it's a bit overpriced for a curry

Good spot. Close enough to Dishoom and a good option if you can’t get in there. Atmosphere is very nice, large space and quick seating. Service was helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was good overall. Would recommend a visit.

Masala Zone is a great combination of good food, good service and a lovely ambience. The fact that you can have a top notch restaurant meal with multiple courses and drinks for less than £40 per person in soho is the cherry on top! Can't recommend Masala Zone enough! I had their starter tasting course and their biryani, both of which were really good - some of the best Indian food I've eaten in London. For dessert the gulab jamun was very cute!

We ordered Jalebi chaat, gol guppa & pav bhaji. Food is not at all good. Everything just misses the right balance of taste. Ambience is pretty dead, considering its in Soho, one of the most bustling areas... Won't recommend trying Indian food here definitely

I came to London on a trip with my family and we couldn't leave here without trying an Indian restaurant. We opted for this because there was no room at Dishoom and in the end we were very happy. (Seeing Indian people eating in an Indian restaurant where the waiters and cooks are also Indian is always a good sign.) As a good lover of this fruit, to drink I ordered a mango lassi which I loved, and for dessert a srikhand also with mango and strawberries which was delicious. To share we ordered several different curries, which if I remember correctly were korma, tikka masala and butter chicken, among others, some with rice and others with naan. We also ordered a cheese naan. Absolutely everything was great. As if that were not enough, the service was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. It is an expensive place, not so much if you think you are in London, but it is still very worth going to. I would love to come back.

Very busy with great authentic food.

We had a reservation at Masala Zone Soho to celebrate Fathers day. From the start to finish all aspects were excellent. Table service was excellent, friendly team, amazing atmosphere. Delicious food. Thank you all

Expensive but a nice fine dinning experience. Biryani is a highlight and the Thali is value for money. Try Gajar Halwa if you have a sweet tooth.

Not exactly the warmest of welcomes, but the restaurant has a good vibe (though may be too noisy for some). The Onion Flower Bhajia, were as the menu says, 'crispy, and pretty,' but rather tasteless - not really 'yummy'. Goan Crispy Fried Prawns with 'authentic' vindaloo mayo, were pretty standard, and the mayo despite its name, was timid. Prawn Malai Thali was ok. The Paneer Makhanwala was really good and flavoursome. Overall, the food seemed a rather 'soft' version, of what I get in India.

I came to masala zone with my wife, you most have a reservation. We ordered the 65 chicken Samosa, butter chicken and chicken biryani. It was good but less than I expected. The portions were smaller than I imagined, and the price was borderline high. In conclusion. It was good but I will not return or be recommending it to anyone.
