Always great food and quick too

I will definitely not be going back ! Cheap standard meat that tasted disgusting . It was full of fat and awful. I doubt very much that it was chicken and everything went in the bin after one bite . I wouldn’t even give it the one star but had no other option than to rate .

The Marmaris Special kebab is the best kebab I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of kebabs from different places over the years!

Always go in to shop and make sure there's atleast two staff members working as if only 1 guy there!? Then service is slow and quality will be less fresh.

Ordered off justeats. Food was excellent but too way longer to arrive than suggested. We had to call the restaurant before it turned up...

Ordered lamb shish for dinner. It was wet and inedible. Threw it in the bin. Very disappointed.

Didn’t offer a bag for food, no fork, no tissues and food was COLD (not even warm).

We used to love the food here, unfortunately we won't be using again as food was over cooked and dry. Such a shame as I always used to recommend.

I'd like to thank marmaris as I got an odrr for chips curry sauce sauce I called yo say no curry sauce on the chips they replaced right away with an apology. I hadn't flipped box over and the man let me see there was curry sauce underneath .I felt so embarrassed @ it was a small amount and I hadn't seen it .thank you for sending fresh chips and once again sorry for my error l gray

Worst baked potato I've ever had. Was brick hard. Seriously I threw it down hard and it didn't even dent. Skin was soggy. The bolognaise it was stopped with was a few tbs of plain mince. No tomato sauce or anything red. Was quick service.. Which I guess is a positive.. But not when what they served was inedible.

First time ordering empressed with food quality baked potato thanks! Compared to what customers normally get on delivery from some takeaways.

After a long journey travelling from Liverpool to St Andrews for a musical performance it became time to commence the arduous 5 hour return journey to Liverpool. It was at this moment the hunger struck. After exhaustive research into the local delicacies on route we stumbled across marmaris kebab and pizza house. Little did we know what we were about to experience. After a warm welcome we placed our order, a simple donner meat and chips. Please don't be fooled by the simplicity of this order for what we received in both quality and entertainment was extraordinary. After seeing we were clearly in need of nourishment we were delighted be offered a free garlic bread which was presented to us on the counter. Eager to to tuck in we quickly opened the box with both excitement and shock as we discovered they had planted a life like rubber snake in side. At this point the establishment erupted with genuine laughter and joy and we knew this was about to be an wonderfull experience. We were then offered a game of chance , an opportunity to win our order on the house. With three cards presented we simply had to locate the chosen cards( the 6 of spades) try as we may luck was not on our side. Was this luck or slight of hand you may ask? Who knows? Clearly in the presence of a member of the magic circle I can only assume he was descendant of the great Harry Houdini himself. Next we were presented with yet another illusion. The wizard presented 3 individual pieces of sweetcorn. After ushering us to count the corn he placed them dramatically into his mouth one by one and appeared to digest them entirely. To our amazement he then managed to regurgitate them intact one by one into his closed hand. After uttering a few magic words he opened his hand to reveal the corn had vanished. Left speechless there was no time to gather our thoughts before the show continued. With great showmanship he raised a pen aloft and stuck the tip with his hand, dispensing a coin out of mid air. We cheered as our show had reached its finale. Just in time for our freshly prepared meals. We parted ways with the conjurer with a simple hand shake and a nodd of appreciation. We devoured our meal topped with lashings of home made chilli sauce whilst regaling tales of our encounter with glee. Over all a tremendous experience and truelly worthy of a 5star review.

Decided to give it another go pizza took about an hour and was cold when it arrived definitely last time I'll order anything from them used to be really good now it's gone down food never arrives hot and standard of food has went down which is a pity as they were great won't be ordering again

It's located around a residential area along with other stores like omnicare pharmacy, post office, Caledonian and a few others. 8 got the chicken burger and beef burger and it was really nice. The service was nice, staff were also nice too.

Shocking customer service. At a friend's house last night & we ordered 2 12 inch pizzas, kebab meat & chips. Pizzas arrived burnt to a crisp, the base was inedible & could easily have been repurposed as a couple of cart wheels! My friend rang & explained our pizza's were badly burnt & could they be replaced. The man who answered was very rude, insisted she return them & he then dropped the phone, leaving it off the hook! We could hear him in the background complaining. My friend then walked 15 mins to return them. She returned an hour later very upset. The owner refused to replace the pizza's or return her money, only doing so because she refused to leave without either. He made her wait 30 mins, was extremely rude & was swearing under his breath. This is an unbelievable way to treat a customer. How about saying sorry & replacing the food? My family have used Marmaris for years & have noticed the quality of food has deteriorated, but after the way my friend was treated we will be finding another takeaway.

Be extremely careful ordering from this restaurant. We placed an order for 2 Cheese Burger Meals & 3 Kids Chicken Nugget meals and paid for them via just eat! They didn't have any chicken nuggets so rather than telling us just sent out cheese burgers for my kids instead when i didn't ask or order this and didn't even have the courtesy to call and ask beforehand if this is okay! My kids don't eat cheese burgers! We rang and complained Ali apolgoised lots and offered a full refund which never ever materialised despite chasing this up a few times. Just Eat themselves were not much help either i would highly suggest using uBer eats instead as at least when you have an issue like this they actually do try to help you! Plenty of other good places to eat in Edinburgh this is one to avoid!

Really disappointed, large lamb kebab wasn’t large at all, small pitta, half a dozen chips and mostly salad, and forgot sauce. Called to complain and person said he didn’t speak English and to call back later. Won’t be ordering again!

Ordered food in good faith turned up burst called and told replacements would be sent nothing happened called the shop and they hung up on me forget ordering from here order elsewhere

We ordered chicken special kebab and chicken shish kebab and it was nothing special. Chicken was very dry. Portions were pretty decent.

I've been going here since the 90's and loved the smoke they infused into the meat, what they used and the technique kept me going back for over 2 decade's! The salad on the side was also super crisp and fresh, a second reason I loved going here. All that said is for context as I'm now writing a review to reflect the change that's occurred. The new cooking does not have any of this, the meat is marinaded in something which isn't nice, it's now quite expensive and the meat is grizzly and does not taste fresh. I did see new uniforms and staff on my last visit and suspect it's not the usual team/crew. Such a shame as I have tried twice lately with the same issues so I won't go back. Hope the old team comes back and takes it over again with the old menu!

he behaves very ugly my husband worked for him and he robbed him for 150 pounds I do not recommend it

This was my second trip here and it wasn’t as good as the first. Ordered spaghetti carbonara and it was really poor. The pasta was over cooked and mushy and it had no taste whatsoever despite being riddled with chopped mushrooms and ham. Nothing like a carbonara - not even accurate to the correct ingredients. Our pizza was also over cooked and cold. It was like eating a savoury biscuit. The chips were the only thing edible. To be fair my first visit was better. Might have been a bad night.

ordered side of chips with my kebab. the chips never arrived. i called them to ask for a refund and they told me the only thing they could do is deliver it in 40 minutes. chips never arrived!!

Absolutely shocking, ordered a large lamb kebab the same time a woman ordered a small one, both were the same size, no difference? Very minimal salads on the kebab and totally drenched in chilli sauce. The meat tasted ok tbh although there was hardly anything with it? Then the guy behind the counter started with some corny card tricks presenting a free kebab if a certain card was found lol. Just to top it off I was then charged over double the amount for a large bottle of juice which clearly stated £1.19? I was charged £3 for this bottle? Avoid this place the Man is a con artist whom just wants ppls moneys and has no interest In the portions he is serving. I feel violated 🤦‍♂️🤣

Marmaris is by far my favourite takeaway location in Edinburgh, and in my many years of visiting them I've never once had a disappointing meal. It isn't fine dining, by any means, it's simply takeaway food. It doesn't pretend to be anything more than this, and when looking for a good kebab, pizza, or anything else for that matter, it's impossible to go wrong with Marmaris. If you're visiting them on location, the staff are all a delight, with the owner especially being extremely friendly and pleasant to interact with. If you're a local resident that hasn't tried them yet, I highly encourage you to. Likewise, if you're just in Edinburgh for a brief visit and looking for a good takeaway, you can't go wrong with Marmaris.

We have just had one of the best takeaway meals ever. .. delicious and yes you can eat healthy from Marmaris thanks to their individual care for our meal request my partner and I are trying to cut the carbs. The chicken is out of this world and very kindly my Portion with no bread arrived with a few chips which is wondeful when they're trying to low carb lovely to have one or two but I have a three outstanding service continually quick delivery made to feel like it's a personal service cannot recommend highly enough fresh food and Donner is out of this world many thanks

Really good for kebabs and pizzas, would rather they didn't use frozen chips but they are OK covered in curry sauce. Delivery always fast and food always hot. Best kebabs and pizzas locally by a mile.

I paid £8.5 for large kebab, they gave me this pitiful kekab, two small bits cut in half to look like more. Complete joke, employee kept saying the boss isn’t in and refused a refund or to come back and collect it!

Burgers don't come with any salad and chips are frozen chips. Salad on kebab isn't great either unfortunately although the food was cooked fairly quick it wasn't great at all. Sultan is great and is only ten minutes away from here

Unlike most pizza takeaways. Marmaris gives you plenty of toppings on your food. The food is much more valued than the price. Not to mention the deliciousness in the pizza.
