Marmaris Kebab House in Wellingborough

Very disappointed not sure if there has been a change of ownership but our last order was simply disgusting .The meat quality is po or r the salad was minuscule the sauce vile. Our order took 40 minutes to be delivers was stone cold and looked like the driver had been sitting on it, all the boxes were crushed. So disappointing after all these years. Have used this place for 17 years and have always enjoyed their food. Delivery service is always quick and efficient and prices are reasonable. Update, they have expanded their menu to include a variety of new wraps. I has the Turkish Nan Kofte wrap and my wife had the Turkish Nan Lamb Diner Wrap and they were amazing.

We went tonight 09/03/2024 to town to get some Turkish cuisine and our choice was Marmaris. Not a single regret for chosen place. The guys was very friendly, one of them gave our son a lolly pop, food was fresh and hot. We took mix option 2 and all meats was very delicious, salad, bread and chips was also fantastic. Thank you for good service and delicious food, we definitely will come back in the future 😊

We went there tonight. We ordered a half pound cheese burger and a chicken wrap. The burger came with bacon after having declined this option. The chicken wrap was cold and needed reheating. They had placed the bag of food on the service top and simply left it there. No-one told us it was our food. To be honest I was eagerly awaiting my first cheese burger in months but it was a bit tasteless. We won't be going back.

We have been using this kebab house since we moved from London 24 years ago and have never had a bad meal from there. Food is always good quality, the staff are always really friendly, I would highly recommend this place.

I've ordered from Marmaris for the first time and I am happy with the service. We waiting around 30 minutes and the food was very good and big. I would maybe add more sauce but overall it was great. Thank you

Last had a kebab from Marmaris in Dec 22 and decided that it was time to allow ourselves another. Sadly this was not a good experience. Between December and now, the old Elephant Leg of doner meat recipe (or supplier) has changed and not for the better. The texture was grainy and the flavour quite different .. neither my wife or myself enjoyed it at all and more than half went in the bin. Sorry Marmaris .. you were my favourite, but you’ve knocked yourself off my top Wellingborough kebab spot.

Best place to eat in Wellingborough! Juicy meat, fresh and crunchy salads and delicious chips. 12/10 recommend 😊

Some of The worst service I've ever experienced. No delivery and when I called in they have no idea what's going on or even an apology. Avoid!

I am often ordering from them and sometimes they have made errors. Today i ordered a kebab with mayo and chilie sauce but it had garlic sauce on it maybe because i also ordered chicken shish which we wanted garlic sauce (so may have miss heard). I sat to eat and noticed the sauce was wrong i tried to take some off, but it had over flavoured the kebab and naan. I called them up and they swapped it straight away. In the past if ever something is wrong they have always come and deliver the correct one. People can mistakes but they correct it, are friendly and the food is nice.

Ordered. Scran was not sufficient. Conversed with his coworkers over us in a rude manner. Floppy chips, ketchup was like jelly, no curry sauce :(

Poor service. Food turned up wrong. Cold. Too busy talking to each other to take order correctly. Used to be good but very bad. Do not use them.

The worst takeaway service I have ever received. Shocking service. I genuinely would avoid. Rude, late, plenty of alternatives to choose from in the area; where you will actually receive your food and not end up hungry and be treated like a sausage.

I ordered lamb ribs for £12 and got 5 small ribs, a total rip off!! Then I ordered a £13 combination platter that promised so much but the portion size was underwhelming. Soggy onion rings on a pile of onions that was the ‘salad’. Basic dry pitta bread and pale chips. This was bought as a treat and it was a total disappointment!! Very over priced, smaller than usual portions and average tasting.

Too many things on the menu that are overpriced and poor. £7.50 for "beyti" which is just a tiny bit of meat on small piece of bread (see pic). Need to stick to the things they are good at.

Normal really nice chips were good but the rest was not nice at all very disappointing for 12 pounds so salty and meat was old tasting😕

Put instructions on the order that was ignored! Food turned up incorrect and missing items that's states on Uber Eats that it's included. Called up to rectify and was shouted at by a very rude man who would not allow me to speak. Reading the other comments it seems this is a regular thing! The meat was also tough to eat and very dry!! Never again!

Used to be good bot not anymore. Another mistake we made and ordered during the week. Meat wasn't fresh ,today's donner kebab smell like fish . I don't know if was the chilli sauce but it was disgusting. Salad smelled of vinegar as wasn't fresh. Don't know what happened if the owner changed or people who work there but not gonna ordered there again.

Place has gone down hill have been a regular customer for years but last few times I've had to call 3 times to see where my food is last night I ordered at 10.20pm and it turnt up 11.55 the food also is no where as good as it use to be

Place can't follow instructions when you call to complain and you get attitude. Don't get me wrong did try and explain how their mistake can be easily done but thats when instructions are given so they don't make mistakes. Lost me as a customer now.. Rather go some where else . Until I see an improvement not coming back.

It used to be so much better. Having been going here for years I've always been happy to pay more for quality, but the quality has declined and the prices have gone up without the quality to warrant it.

Ordered the Marmaris special. Came quickly and was very tasty. More than enough food for two people. Great value for money. Definitely will be ordering again.

I've had worse but it was a close call! Dry doner meat I'm not sure where the mixed kebab comes into play and soggy chips! Seasoning was non existent wont bother ordering again!

Food usually isn't too bad but be warned.. you order on just eat and they say free delivery then they take 2:50 extra for it!. False advertising.

Great food ordered lots of times and never disappointed, I ordered food last week on just eat and unfortunately fell asleep before the order came, I ordered and chicken doner wrap, a strawberry and chocolate cheesecake and they were more than happy to sort me out my cheesecakes on the next order. They was best kebabs in Wellingborough.. now something changed, salat is not fresh, chicken meat wit hair, garlic sauce gross🤮 the mayonnaise diluted with water 😲 very sad but not buying again ☹️

Used to visit this takeaway a while back when under previous management and quality was amazing even though a bit pricey at times. Came back to get my regular kebab and was thoroughly disappointed. The salad was not fresh and clearly been out for 2 or 3 days. Likewise the chicken was very dry and clear was not fresh at all and subsequently made me very ill. On top of all this very high prices! Would not recommend!

They refused an order I made on just eat

Because we has cancelled an order the night before, they refused to send us our next order. When it finally arrived it was warm ish and wasn't much food there at all

I am a regular customer and tonight called to order a delivery Lamb chops with chips, salad and three onion rings (£12) garlic mayonnaise Small chicken dona kebab with salad with thousand island dressing Before we could give them the dressing the guy hung up!! We called back and discovered that the order was wrong! Delivery on time but with wrong price and no dressing Called and complained Driver came back with a card machine to take payment- now correct amount Lamb chops were good but chips were soggy and cold Disappointed ☹️ May try Cambridge Grill next time

WOW!! first time ordering from here and we were very impressed. Estimated delivery was 20:10 and we received it at 19:20 so that was great! It arrived piping hot and the portions were HUGE! We’ve got some leftover for our lunches! Salad was fresh and crisp and there was plenty of meat in our kebabs. Not in the slightest bit greasy and cooked to perfection. I’m not normally a kebab lover but I really enjoyed this one! We will be reordering from Marmaris. Thanks chaps.

Great food we were just missing our large chips from our order but it's not a problem the food was great so that made up for it.

Issues with ordering initially and also Just Eat who purport to accept American Express payments, but don't actually! But food came very quickly and top quality. Flavoursome and plenty. We would order again.

The sauces added to the wrap would be an improvement, not separately.

I regularly use Marmaris for takeaway delivery. Order is typically the same and 1-2 times/month for a Large Chicken Shish and a Large Lamb Shish kebab. Both my wife and I enjoy these occasional splurges when it possibly gets a little unhealthy ... Marmaris are typically prompt to deliver and the quality is decent. I am prompted to write this review this evening because things went badly wrong a couple of weeks ago when my food took ages to deliver and I had to chase .. despite being told it wasn’t in the kitchen, so had left on delivery, it took 30 minutes more for it to be received .. cold and also whilst I was still on the phone complaining and being told that they had had a tsunami of orders and struggling to manage the list. I was promised next order free and wasn’t convinced it would happen. Good on you Marmaris .. back to the prompt delivery of hot food tonight and your delivery driver told me that the food was free per your promise. Get it right all the time and when you can’t, make the customer happy. You did that!! Thank you!! You still got my business.

Kebab was nice however the chips where not good.

Strong suggestion to stay well away from this business, there service and dealing with my order today has been very poor. I rang and made my order over the phone was given a time and a price however when my food had not arrived I called back to be told they had lost my order and if I could re order and wait an extra hour. I am disgusted by the service I have received on not a particularly large order. The company offered me no reprimands for my wasted time I would never give them my business again.

Chips have become so greasy and so dry, literally only ate a few :( I love chips and this upset me

Chips were cold and hardly any Donnor meat even though we asked to replace the kofte for extra donnor ( donnor was less than usual ) very disappointing

Chicken doner was so salty I couldn't eat it

They sent my food to wrong address and actually give it to the person who lived there and didn't even ring me to say my food wasn't coming just waited for me to call to say it never arrived discracefull service

dank food ordered at 12:55am and it arrived at 1:15am, great service and great food

My previous orders have been good. This time the side order of onion rings was tiny - maybe 6 pieces. The garlic sauce was literally slopped over the kebab and the chips had obviously been made long before delivery and were inedible. I won't order from Marmaris again.

After reading comments about marmaris stating this place was better than the restaurant I was actually reviewing I had to try for myself! Staff were pleasant enough, ordered chicken and lamb shish kebabs with salad and Turkish bread which was cooked fresh while we took a table. Didn’t have to wait long for our order and was given a complimentary large bottle of Pepsi and four cups which was a nice touch. Food was good and descently portioned but in my opinion nowhere near as good as the other Turkish restaurant I have reviewed and both similarly priced. Sorry guys you are not doing anything wrong but I have had better.

I had the lamb and chicken kebab and I can honestly say as someone who travels the country for work this is one of the best I've had. Outstanding

Love this place, food always great, on time and delivery man always happy.

Food was excellent as it always has been but this time for some inexplicable reason the delivery took much longer than expect. So much so we had to chase the order up. Let's hope this was just a one off 'glitch' as the food was delicious.

Food was lovely as always, however, restaurant does not appear to read notes left by customer. I ordered kebab with all salad EXCEPT tomatoes, as my partner doesn't like them, and it came with LOADS of tomatoes!
