Marmaris in Wandsworth

Hemos estado dos veces. No son locales, y visitar la zona para ver la familia, así después de visitar el restaurante en Mayo por primera vez fuimos el pasado fin de nuevo. El restaurante está ahora bajo el nombre de Pachá Mangal. Su encantador por dentro con un montón de luces coloridas turco. La comida es a la parrilla en la parte delantera del restaurante al entrar, así que puedes ver cómo se preparan su comida. El kebabs shish son fantásticas, con generosa ayuda de ensalada y pan. Puede traer sus propias bebidas alcohólicas, ya que sólo sirve refrescos, té, café, etc. Es muy abundante, así que si opta por un entrante y preparar para dejar sensación principal muy completo. El servicio es muy eficiente y el personal es muy agradable.

We have had takeaway food from here more times than I can remember! I especially love the lamb shish yogurtlu. The staff are always polite and the new charcoal grill makes the food taste delicious.

This place is the best Turkish food in Balham; maybe even London? Friendly service. Very fresh food - and a clean relaxed atmosphere. Have been a number of times, and never disappointed!

Always reliable. Always friendly but now with the charcoal grill they've gone the extra mile. Great great food. Really reasonable prices. Unlicensed and newly decorated. Great!!

He visitado este lugar increíble para unos 10 años. Sam, el dueño es un tipo muy agradable y su personal son todos muy amables y agradables.La comida...¡la comida es increíble. Los sabores y la calidad de la carne es de primera clase. Me encanta el Kofte Kebab y se han convertido en enganchado, así que no elija nada más. He introducido muchas personas a este lugar y a todos les encanta. El lugar está siempre lleno, está siempre limpio y siempre hay mucho para elegir. Estoy muy contento de que me encontré con este sitio hace años.Aparte de la carne, lo que más me gusta es la ensalada, sé que debe ser extraño, pero es muy fresca y sabrosa, me encanta. Just awesome really nice fresh food. The mixed grill is the one. Hummus with lamb also and cacik. Also mixed shawarma kebab is very tasty. Place had just shut but hopefully just for a refurb.

Marmaris is more of a restaurant than typical kebab joint. The food is fresh, cooked while you wait and always tastes great. The portions are generous and the chicken shashlik is a winner.

Queríamos un ambiente relajado sin alboroto donde sabíamos que comer bien. Marmaris entrega en todos los aspectos. En el frente hay una llevar y en la parte de atrás hay mesas y servicio. Está limpio, bien cuidado y familiar. No esperes una lista de vinos o una cerveza, no hay ninguno pero estoy bastante seguro que hay un BYOB, compruebe (hay un Waitrose al otro lado de la calle).El menú es genial y todos los platos se sirven directamente desde la griller. Se puede elegir entre una variedad de ensaladas, salsas, etc. y le ser alimentados.El café que se sirve es Moon cerdos y el café (como es de esperar) es de primera categoría. También sirven café turco, que no es para los pusilánimes!Excelente relación calidad-precio, buen servicio, comida fabulosa; no estoy seguro sobre horas de la madrugada para abrir, así que si quieres un llevar después de haber dejado el pub.

No juzgue el libro por su cubierta, lo mismo puede aplicarse a Marmaris. uno de los mejores kebabs que he probado en Londres. Fresco, rápido y muy buena relación calidad-precio de siempre. Muy agradable alternativa sana de comida para llevar, es una pena que no valen) Cenamos en un par de ocasiones, el personal es muy atento y amable, puede tener su propio vino si te gusta, lo que hace que este lugar perfecto)

Would have been 5 stars, however the portions aren't the biggest you'll ever see...Serving size is offset by the quality though, and the cost is good too.Try the Dolma - Very good

This place really is great. The mixed grill is huge and has enough variety to keep everyone happy. Starters are fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend to my friends. Prices are also very reasonable.

Excellent take away. Regularly order from here. Favourites are lamb chops, sharwarma's and aubergine! Houmous is good too.Staff very nice and friendly and food quality is excellent. Highly recommend.

I had chicken shish kebab and falafel. Food was good quality and very tasty. Place seemed busy / popular too which was a good sign.

This is the best kebab shop in London. And I have been to many. The double lamb shish with all the salads with garlic and chilli sauce in the wrap is one of life's great pleasures. If I was on death row, this would be my last meal

Good food at a great price ! The staff are pleasant enough but more important to me is a good feed at a good price and you get this at Marmaris. You wont want to cross London to get to it but if you are within 10 minutes its definitely worth the diversion ! Enjoy !

The staff are generally nice and fairly low key but friendly. They put together great Turkish food, and if you eat in you can BYOB. Best Turkish I've had in London.

bring your own bottle with a small charge..mains are better than starters, good value food..nice and quiet place

I have been a regular at this place for years however I have stopped going for last couple of years as I thought the food quality wasn't good as before.Anyway I went there last Saturday night for a meal with my wife and we had roasted pepper and aubergine , lamb shish on yogurt, chicken shish on yogurt , fresh orange juice with ginger , coffee and baklava.The roasted pepper and aubergine , lamb shish on yogurt and fresh orange juice with ginger were excellent. The ingredients were really fresh. We thought the quality of the chicken could have been better.Overall I would say this is an excellent restaurant and if they can be consistent with the quality of the ingredients I doubt there is a better restaurant serving tasty Turkish food in South London.I will visit them again.

food was relatively tasty but far from excellent and overpriced ; most probably not fresh as well as we all had stomach problems shortly after would therefore not recommend it unless you wish to end up with diarrhoea.

Only tried its take away, and completely agree with all the other reviews, very good, always tasted fresh and good value. Absolutely my first choice for turkish in the area.

Really delicious Turkish food, fine ingredients and with friendly staff. Can't fault it.(I can't think of much else to say, so hopefully this will make up the 50 character minimum)

I love marmaris. Its quite a nice atmosphere even thought it busy and the staff are really friendly. I've been a few times and always have the mixed aubergine started which is amazing!! the shwarma plate is ok, but i do prefer the wrap. The food tastes super fresh and it is not pretentious or over priced! They also offer BYOB with corkage at £1.50 which can turn a quick bite into a lovely meal at a reasonable cost! certainly worth a visit in my opinion!

This is your place to go for an above average kebab in the area, an authentic and delicious Turkish culinary experience rather than your bog standard botulism inducing elephant leg from the late night take away.Their Kofte is absolutely sublime, it almost makes you gag it has that much flavour. The doners are a bit stingy on the meat given the price, so although normally my kebab of choice, id advise sticking with the Kofte.only slight grumbles are the mixed grill didn't give me enough rice once, and they charge you a corkage fee if you eat in, even if you are only drinking a couple of beers. First world problems eh?!

Excellent quality and very friendly service. The aurbergine and courgette were sublime. The mixed grill almost fat free and very tender. As good as it gets and excellent value.

We visited from Chicago a couple of weeks ago and had take away twice - the food was fresh, and less expensive than much of what we found in London. Those lamb chops...so un-complicatedly delicious and perfectly grilled! We also ate wonderful hummus, shwarma, and felafel, with generous portions of fresh salad ingredients that we chose according to our preferences. Even if we don't stay in Balham again, should we make it back to London, we'll make a trip back here to get some great food and chat once more with the kind and talented people who make it.

Seriously gd food in this place. Best kebabs in south London. I go here at least twice a month, usually to get a kebab to take out. And when I say kebab, don't think of dirty doner. Think fresh,grilled meats in a wholesome wrap complete with all the salad and peppers you want!

Regular haunt of mine. Food freshly prepared tastes great their chilli sauce is miles better than any other Turkish place. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Child friendly. Love this place and miss it when it closes in Aug for 3 weeks annual leave.

I have been here many times and the mixed grill is huge and awesome. Much tastier than more expensive, posher restaurants. This is not fine dining but it is great food. Love the hummus and peppers and aubergines. Garlic and chili sauce is tasty too. Happy to supply abundant pitta.

We ate in at this kebab restaurant and had a fantastic meal. It's not your typical High Street kebab shop, they use beautiful fresh ingredients and, although you pay for the privilege, you end up with a wonderful tasting kebab.

Always do an awesome wrap! Get involved for a late nighter or even eat in if you fancy - great lads!

La seconda volta che ho visitato Londra ero in compagnia di mia sorella e di un'amica: alla sera eravamo così stanche che abbiamo cercato di cenare vicino al BeB dove alloggiavamo.Camminando lungo Bedford Hill ci siamo imbattute in questo ristorantino, Marmaris appunto, e abbiamo detto: proviamo!E abbiamo fatto bene! Un locale pulito, cortesia e, soprattutto, cibo buonissimo!La loro specialità è un piattone gigante a base di tenera carne mista, rigorosamente cotta su un'enorme griglia visibile anche da fuori, servita con riso e insalatina mista;nell'attesa ci hanno servito una squisita purea di ceci(altra specialità) accompagnata da una morbida piadina.Tutto questo,compreso le bevande e il coperto, non ha superato le 10 sterline a testa.Che dire: evviva la cucina turca! Sicuramente, la prossima volta che andrò a Londra, tornerò a cenare al Marmaris che consiglio vivamente a chiunque non sia vegetariano

The Marmaris restaurant is principally a take away counter with a small, simply furnished cafe/ restaurant behind . The cuisine is Turkish and although it is essentially a kebab shop (and most people go there for this) the mixed meze is actually vegetarian. The meze is excellent, featuring stuffed vine leaves, spinach and cheese parcels,and lots of other really tasty and delicious turkish treats, and cost just under £6 per person.The place is unlicenced but you can take a bottle (no corkage) This friendly little neighbourhood restaurant is great if you are looking for somewhere inexpensive in Balham. It is not somewhere to make for if you are on the other side of London or for a special occasion, however it has a good atmosphere, friendly staff and is full of locals.
