Loved our time at the Humble Grape! So many memories! Alejandro was a superb waiter and cater our needs perfectly! The wine was great and the nibbles too! Best wine bar in Clapham!

Beautiful venue, love the small details like the cork walls and the wine crates used as shelves. Was there on a breeze date and was served by Jess who was attentive polite and honestly the best server I've experienced in awhile, definitely a gem to that place. I think the pick 3 offer comes with a stingy amount of jam and gherkins but with current rise in cost with delivery items I'm also not surprised. I had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again

Today we’ve celebrated my birthday at Humble Grape at Battersea. We’ve been served by Lana and she looked after us very well. It was an amazing evening with tasty food, wine and professional service. We had an amazing time there and we’ll definitely come again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Food great - as ever - but over an hour wait and basement nowhere near as nice as upstairs. Smile from waitress wouldn’t have killed her.

I had a meal with a group of friends and it was great. The ambiance and staff were loverly. The wine flight was a nice option and allowed for a nice way to try a few of the suggested wines. The food selection was interetsing, well presented and tasted great. Standouts were the small plates (all we had were great), the hake main course and the pear tart dessert.

Decent food. Lots of wines to choose from by the bottle, but the server seemed a little annoyed to have to show Them to us. As soon as the table after us arrive, we were asked to leave, which I thought was a little unnecessary as we were in the process of paying the bill.

Food was great, the ‘Crispy Cauliflower’ were soooo delicious, even ordered another round. Also enjoyed the ‘Venison Tataki’ and the ‘Cheese Croquette’, very tasty especially paired with the smooth ‘Borga Chardonnay’. Will definitely be back again, thanks Alejandro for the friendly service!

We've had an amazing time here. The first time I saw this place I was walking by and it caught my eye, but it was fully booked. Tonight I managed to have an aperitivo and It was a great experience: great wine, good food, very accommodating staff. Lana was unbelievable, so accommodating, I’d recommend this place 100%.

Pretty poor experience. We paid £160 for our meal for 2, the wine was decent, but the food was a total rip-off. £15 for 3 chewy, unflavoured bits of pork belly was ridiculous. The baked cambert was practically solide when it arrived, and basil sauce with the chocolate mousse? The staff were very pushy with the glasses of wine, they lacked decorum and experience waiting tables in an English atmosphere. Overall pretty disappointing.

Overall, my experience was quite disappointing. The Camembert was barely warm, and I was charged £15 for just three small, dry cubes of pork. The dessert had an odd basil oil that didn’t pair well. To top it off, I felt pressured to order a new glass of wine as soon as I finished the last, which quickly led to an unexpectedly high bill. One hour and £160 later we dived into the closest pub for refuge. Bad service, mediocre food, poor overall experience.

Very expensive for the quality of wine and food, you can buy better quality in the supermarket for £15. Sorry for being honest. I’m sure the rates/staff etc are very expensive. The wine list wasn’t very long/inspiring and the food was good and priced incorrectly for what it is.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, we had Ana helping us chosing beers and helping us with food!The staff here really know their stuff and are incredibly helpful. We were fortunate enough to have assistance from a staff member while selecting our wine and food. They offered wonderful suggestions that perfectly suited our tastes. We were extremely pleased with the choices we made, all thanks to their expertise. Highly recommend this place!

The exquisite Sunday roast was a highlight, and it was a lovely touch to have the Chef personally check in on us to ensure we were enjoying the meal. A special mention goes to the delightful Jamaican waitress (whose name, unfortunately, escapes us), and to Shoso (I hope I'm spelling it correctly), who managed the floor with exceptional care. His attention to detail ensured all guests were seen to, and our glasses were always topped up promptly. The wine list is impressive, featuring a well-balanced variety of options, including some hidden gems from South Africa. The selection catered to various price points, which we truly appreciated. I recently visited Humble Grape with my girlfriend and a friend, and we had a wonderful experience overall. We tried three bottles of wine, two of which were absolutely fantastic, though one wasn’t quite to our taste—but no big deal there. The food was enjoyable, though I might have indulged in a bit too much cheese, which left my stomach feeling unsettled the next day. That said, the atmosphere was great, and our host, Nicolas, was exceptional—very attentive and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend Humble Grape, especially for the wine and the excellent service!

Todo estaba en su lugar, la comida, el servicio, el vino, el ambiente, etc... Realmente no puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente, , tuvimos la cote de boeuf que se hizo perfectamente y carpaccio de cordero que era fantástico también.

The one and only wine bar I always return to. It has cozy atmosphere, nice decor around the walls with full of wines shelves which makes it a perfect spot. Suso who not only looked after us but squeezed us in even though they were fully booked and we turned up without a booking. He was very professional and friendly and his wine recommendations were perfect. Food and nibbles are incredibly good too, especially their croquette is 👌. One of the best place I would take my friends and families and be able to strongly recommend to others. Thank you Suso.

We booked here for a mini reception after our legal registry office wedding to celebrate. The staff especially the GM Nicholas could not have been more helpful and accommodating to our group. The food and wine was utterly wonderful. It is the perfect space for an intimate event! I can’t recommend it enough, it was fabulous and the service impeccable. We will be forever returning! Thank you all again!

Excellent restaurant with a wide selection of wines from all over the world. A fantastic experience for Spaniards, since it is not easy to find wines from other countries in our country. The food is great too. Excellent service in a relaxed and happy atmosphere

Very cute restaurant with great wine. The people working there are super friendly and we got some great wine recommendations. The monthly wine flight is very cool when you want to try out a bit something new.

So disappointed. Ordered a Rioja via Deliveroo. Was charged more than 2x price of buying same bootle at grocery store (only realised after Googling after the fact). And worse, bottle was borderline undrinkable at £28 price point. I used to love this store. Originally a great local addition. But prices have risen to ridiculous and quality has declined. Save your money.

We travelled out by bus to visit this little wine bar in a funky part of Battersea. The wine recommendation was spot on (thank you!) and we enjoyed a gorgeous selection of small plates- crispy cauliflower, mosaic trout, lamb terrine to name a few! Highly recommended if you like good food and wine with knowledgeable service.

Very enjoyable evening at the humble grape . Nice surroundings, lovely food and our waiter Federico was very good humoured and efficient. Will definitely visit again. My only gripe is that when you pay via the qr at the table once you have paid your bill which includes service charge it sends a prompt saying " would you like to leave Federico something extra" or words to that effect which I think is a bit gougy . I hope no one pays this extra

An exceptional wine bar with some great promos (like retail Mondays - all wines are priced as their take-away prices) and great staff. We were recommended a lovely bottle of sweet wine at Christmas called Vinsanto which is now one of our favourite types of dessert wine. It's very easy to recommend this place!

Mi hija y yo fuimos sin reserva en un martes por la noche - arriba estaba lleno, pero teníamos una buena mesa abajo. La calidad de los vinos por copa era muy buena - a mi hija le gustó su Beaujolais y mi Malbec era agradable, tanto que repetimos el orden. Camembert al horno con mermelada de chile y masa madre era excelente y tuvimos un poco de charcutería con sabor a hinojo y un queso de cabra. El servicio era bueno y amable. Volvería.

Living locally, I have walked past this wine bar and restaurant many times, seeing through the windows that it looks the sort of place that I normally only find when I'm abroad. Last night I eventually did drop in for a glass of Rioja. Sadly we could only spare 20 minutes, so we didn't eat there. My well-travelled American visitor and I both found The Humble Grape to be all that I had hoped it to be. It can be recommended to anyone who would like a good glass of wine in a good setting. We were there on "Retail Monday" ( I may have the wrong name), which meant that we paid even less than their normal price. I must return soon, when I have sufficient time to also have a meal.

Tiny plates quite expensive and they ask you to pay for the bread even if it's old and hard. The atmosphere is quite nice.

For catching up with a long standing friend, this first time visit to the Humble Grape gave us everything we needed: welcoming atmosphere, space to chat, attentive service, quality food and wine at a reasonable price. Perfect.

I came here for valentine's day; everything lives up to the hype except the mains. The service was incredible (big up Cecilia!), as were the wines and starters. Annoyingly, the vegan and veggie main was literally just two mid-sized grilled mushrooms that didn't even taste like miso. Ngl we sent the mains back since they were £17 pp. It's 2024, please do better x

Humble grape offers an excellent selection of wine, but poor vegan/veggie options. My partner and I went for Valentines after walking past and seeing the vegan steak advertised a month before. Drinks, service, and atmosphere were all excellent (our server Cecilia was particularly amazing! She gets 5 stars alone!) But sadly the "vegan steak" is little more than two portobello mushrooms, and five palenta chips... for £17. Sadly we had hoped for more and were really let down. A real shame to not offer serious vegan and veggie options like Seitan/Tofu/Vivera, etc.

Went here for Sunday lunch , to start there was a smell of sewage at the front of the restaurant , the Sunday roast was worse than something you’d make at home with the gravy being 90% oil. I hate writing a bad review but for £95 bill was seriously dissatisfied ( £5 for water btw)

Two level restaurant with a lower ceiling, snug upper floor and an airier downstairs. Upstairs is decorated with shelves of wine and his nicely when you go enter in a cold evening. Downstairs was empty when we went, probably better to ask for upstairs but the it fills up it would be warm too. Menu is simple - 4 mains with a choice for veggies. Simple food well cooked. Fries portions are enough for 2-3. Very good chocolate fondant. Wine list seems fine - we had an Austrian red, young without being too fruity. Service is cheerful. 200 for 4. All in all a really good evening. This is a place for friends and family with dependable but not fancy food.
