Humble Grape in Wandsworth

We had a lovely evening. The service was amazing - never had to even ever look for a waitress at any point. The food was good especially the burata, cauliflower, ceviche and the cheese board. The only thing that lets it down is they don’t serve any non alcoholic beers at all or much choice of soft drinks either. Otherwise a great evening.

Lovely restaurant. Cool vibe and decor. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food and wine was so good! Definitely recommend for date night.

Service was little slow. I book this venue over a month in advance. I stayed in our booking it's our 17th year Anniversary. There was no acknowledgement when we arrived. I mention to the server it was our Anniversary. We got sat at an ok location in the venue. Food was good, wine was great. Steak was cook with grain not against.

Great place with a good selection of wines, but for us the real standout was the food. Every dish we had was beautifully presented, fresh and full of flavour. Definitely recommend a visit!

Had a really wonderful evening. The service was outstanding the food was sublime! The chefs even came and spoke to us about our meals which was an added bonus. Look forward to coming back

Service was absolute amazing! Food was another level. Highly recommend chocolate mousse with the basil oil, combination of flavours was incredible!

Want to start off by saying the service and staff was lovely. The atmosphere was nice too. My issue was with the Sunday roast we were served. I got the mixed roast for £26. I was incredibly disappointed to be served an absolutely miniscule portion of meat. The mixed roast includes one slice of lamb, one slice of beef and a piece of pork. The pork was a small approx 3"x1" chunk and I'm not exaggerating when I say the lamb and beef were wafer thin slices. I've never ever had such a small, thin slice of meat served outside of a deli sandwich. Since a few of us were having the roast, we had to share a bowl of veg which also ended up being a small amount each when distributed. Would much prefer each plate gets it's own proper portion of veg. I will say however, the cauliflower cheese was lovely and was a decent portion even when shared. I could forgive a lot of the above if the roast wasn't £26. I can scarcely remember any other occasion paying so much for so little in return.

My friends ordered three beers between two of them but only two were provided. They had to keep asking for the third one. There was no one in the restaurant at this time so my friends didnt know what the hold up was. My Hake was really nice, but could have been warmer, and more veg could have been provided. My friends ordered a roast beef and roast pork. the roast beef looked like two slithers of bacon it was so thin, the roast pork was an insipid white colour and very overcooked. when another table ordered the roast beef there was much more beef than my friend had. Roast veg between the two of them was on the small side and the roast potatoes were pre cooked which means theyre never nice. again pale and insipid. Dessert was nice and the wine options were great which my friends enjoyed. Not a lot of fizz by the glass options sadly. The womens toilets were vile. dirty looking and only a half roll of toilet paper between two toilets. Thats something that should be checked before lunch time folk come in. its something so basic as a restaurant. I had to hover to the other toilet to get loo paper. I told the guy and it was replenished but too late for me. would I be returning? Probably not sadly.

I booked a table for Saturday night as a late valentine dinner, the menu in house was different to the menu online for the Battersea branch which was disappointing, the food was okay but nothing exciting. I asked where the restroom was during the night to which I was told a pipe had burst and the restroom was out of service, this is understandable as these things happen. I was told to head across the street and ask the bar if I could use their toilet, this is what I did, however, when I came back they were seating people down stairs in the “flooded area” and showing people to the restrooms so why was I told to go to another place to use the restroom? Overall there are much nice bars and establishments in the area which I would recommend to try instead of this place

Sad experience at Humble Grape for valentines. My boyfriend had booked a £50 dinner menu for both of us, which was ok but not specially good food. But here comes the part that bothered us the most; we ordered a glass of rioja. The man said ofc no problem and opened the bottle, he left it on our table. I said I’m sorry I just wanted a glass (again) he said it’s okay we will gift you the bottle because we can’t do glass servings on this one. I still decided not to pour myself more than one glass - we couldn’t afford the whole bottle. Then, our waiter proceeded to pour the wine until the bottle was empty- which we thought meant he wouldn’t charge us for it. Unfortunately, we were charged £40 for the bottle. The food had already been paid for online. We didn’t complain anymore and just paid for it but we definitely won’t be coming anymore or recommending the place to anyone. (Ps. They decided to bring us free bread because we had to ask for it twice ? )

Triste experiencia en Humble Grape para San Valentín. Mi novio había reservado un menú de cena de £ 50 para los dos, que estaba bien, pero no especialmente buena comida. Pero aquí viene la parte que más nos molestó; pedimos una copa de rioja. El hombre dijo ofc ningún problema y abrió la botella, la dejó en nuestra mesa. Dije que siento haber querido un vaso (de nuevo) y dijo que está bien que te regalemos la botella porque no podemos hacer porciones de vidrio en esta. Aún así decidí no servirme más de un vaso, no podíamos permitirnos toda la botella. Luego, nuestro camarero procedió a servir el vino hasta que la botella estaba vacía, lo que pensamos que significaba que no nos cobraría por ello. Desafortunadamente, nos cobraron £ 40 por la botella. La comida ya había sido pagada en línea. No nos quejamos más y solo pagamos por ello, pero definitivamente no vamos a venir más o recomendar el lugar a nadie. (Ps. Decidieron traernos pan gratis porque teníamos que pedirlo dos veces ? )

Recently had a delicious Sunday Roast at the classy and stylish Battersea Humble Grape. Alejandro and his team were welcoming, friendly and provided tasters before we chose our excellent wine. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at the HG recently. I visited about two weeks ago for a birthday celebration, and the steak I ordered was dry, overcooked, and the sauce was awful. Hoping for a better experience, I returned last night to give it a second chance, but unfortunately, the steak was once again dry, burnt on the outside, and completely tasteless. As a South African who loves steak, this was a major letdown. Additionally, the sauces are served separately from the steak and are incredibly underwhelming for £3.75—a tiny portion of what seemed like crushed herbs mixed with olive oil. The chips are also an extra charge, which feels like an unnecessary upcharge. The bill for three people came to £199, which felt exorbitant given the quality of the food. We only shared a bottle of Prosecco, which cost nearly £50—way too much for Prosecco! I left feeling completely ripped off by the experience, especially considering the food was just mediocre at best. To make matters worse, I was seated next to a cold draft from the window all night, and when I asked to be moved, they didn’t move us. I had to eat my meal with my coat on. Overall, I won’t be returning. For the price, I expected much more in terms of both food quality and service.

Beautiful venue, love the small details like the cork walls and the wine crates used as shelves. Was there on a breeze date and was served by Jess who was attentive polite and honestly the best server I've experienced in awhile, definitely a gem to that place. I think the pick 3 offer comes with a stingy amount of jam and gherkins but with current rise in cost with delivery items I'm also not surprised. I had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again

Today we’ve celebrated my birthday at Humble Grape at Battersea. We’ve been served by Lana and she looked after us very well. It was an amazing evening with tasty food, wine and professional service. We had an amazing time there and we’ll definitely come again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

I had a meal with a group of friends and it was great. The ambiance and staff were loverly. The wine flight was a nice option and allowed for a nice way to try a few of the suggested wines. The food selection was interetsing, well presented and tasted great. Standouts were the small plates (all we had were great), the hake main course and the pear tart dessert.

Decent food. Lots of wines to choose from by the bottle, but the server seemed a little annoyed to have to show Them to us. As soon as the table after us arrive, we were asked to leave, which I thought was a little unnecessary as we were in the process of paying the bill.

Food was great, the ‘Crispy Cauliflower’ were soooo delicious, even ordered another round. Also enjoyed the ‘Venison Tataki’ and the ‘Cheese Croquette’, very tasty especially paired with the smooth ‘Borga Chardonnay’. Will definitely be back again, thanks Alejandro for the friendly service!

We've had an amazing time here. The first time I saw this place I was walking by and it caught my eye, but it was fully booked. Tonight I managed to have an aperitivo and It was a great experience: great wine, good food, very accommodating staff. Overall, my experience was quite disappointing. The Camembert was barely warm, and I was charged £15 for just three small, dry cubes of pork. The dessert had an odd basil oil that didn’t pair well. To top it off, I felt pressured to order a new glass of wine as soon as I finished the last, which quickly led to an unexpectedly high bill. One hour and £160 later we dived into the closest pub for refuge. Bad service, mediocre food, poor overall experience.

Pretty poor experience. We paid £160 for our meal for 2, the wine was decent, but the food was a total rip-off. £15 for 3 chewy, unflavoured bits of pork belly was ridiculous. The baked cambert was practically solide when it arrived, and basil sauce with the chocolate mousse? The staff were very pushy with the glasses of wine, they lacked decorum and experience waiting tables in an English atmosphere. Overall pretty disappointing.

Very expensive for the quality of wine and food, you can buy better quality in the supermarket for £15. Sorry for being honest. I’m sure the rates/staff etc are very expensive. The wine list wasn’t very long/inspiring and the food was good and priced incorrectly for what it is.

We were fortunate enough to have assistance from a staff member while selecting our wine and food. They offered wonderful suggestions that perfectly suited our tastes. We were extremely pleased with the choices we made, all thanks to their expertise. Highly recommend this place!

I recently visited Humble Grape with my girlfriend and a friend, and we had a wonderful experience overall. We tried three bottles of wine, two of which were absolutely fantastic, though one wasn’t quite to our taste—but no big deal there. The food was enjoyable, though I might have indulged in a bit too much cheese, which left my stomach feeling unsettled the next day. That said, the atmosphere was great, and our host, Nicolas, was exceptional—very attentive and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend Humble Grape, especially for the wine and the excellent service!

Great environment, amazing and cute

The one and only wine bar I always return to. It has cozy atmosphere, nice decor around the walls with full of wines shelves which makes it a perfect spot. Suso who not only looked after us but squeezed us in even though they were fully booked and we turned up without a booking. He was very professional and friendly and his wine recommendations were perfect. Food and nibbles are incredibly good too, especially their croquette is 👌. One of the best place I would take my friends and families and be able to strongly recommend to others. Thank you Suso.

We booked here for a mini reception after our legal registry office wedding to celebrate. The staff especially the GM Nicholas could not have been more helpful and accommodating to our group. The food and wine was utterly wonderful. It is the perfect space for an intimate event! I can’t recommend it enough, it was fabulous and the service impeccable. We will be forever returning! Excellent restaurant with a wide selection of wines from all over the world. A fantastic experience for Spaniards, since it is not easy to find wines from other countries in our country. The food is great too. Excellent service in a relaxed and happy atmosphere

So disappointed. Ordered a Rioja via Deliveroo. Was charged more than 2x price of buying same bootle at grocery store (only realised after Googling after the fact). And worse, bottle was borderline undrinkable at £28 price point. I used to love this store. Originally a great local addition. But prices have risen to ridiculous and quality has declined. Save your money.

We travelled out by bus to visit this little wine bar in a funky part of Battersea. The wine recommendation was spot on (thank you!) and we enjoyed a gorgeous selection of small plates- crispy cauliflower, mosaic trout, lamb terrine to name a few! Highly recommended if you like good food and wine with knowledgeable service.

Very enjoyable evening at the humble grape . Nice surroundings, lovely food and our waiter Federico was very good humoured and efficient. Will definitely visit again. My only gripe is that when you pay via the qr at the table once you have paid your bill which includes service charge it sends a prompt saying " would you like to leave Federico something extra" or words to that effect which I think is a bit gougy . I hope no one pays this extra

An exceptional wine bar with some great promos (like retail Mondays - all wines are priced as their take-away prices) and great staff. We were recommended a lovely bottle of sweet wine at Christmas called Vinsanto which is now one of our favourite types of dessert wine. It's very easy to recommend this place!

Mi hija y yo fuimos sin reserva en un martes por la noche - arriba estaba lleno, pero teníamos una buena mesa abajo. La calidad de los vinos por copa era muy buena - a mi hija le gustó su Beaujolais y mi Malbec era agradable, tanto que repetimos el orden. Camembert al horno con mermelada de chile y masa madre era excelente y tuvimos un poco de charcutería con sabor a hinojo y un queso de cabra. El servicio era bueno y amable. Volvería.
