We used to go to marmadukes all the time and enjoy it however, I feel that as its popularity has grown the quality of the food has suffered and the prices just keep going up. We went for breakfast today, the portion size of the scrambled eggs was honestly embarrassing £9.00 for 2 tiny muffins with a tablespoon of egg on top. I had also watched the server rub and stroke a dog whilst sitting on the floor then serve the food. The attitude of some of the staff is smug and condescending. On the way out my dad heard them mention something about going to McDonald’s which he felt was directed at us. To be honest we wish we had gone to McDonald’s, better quality, value for money and service with a smile. None of us will be returning.

Very overpriced. I chose the 'Eggs Royale', described as 'poached Cacklebean eggs, house muffin, espresso hollandaise, smoked salmon'. I couldn't have the muffin due to allergens so ended up with two very small eggs, two slices of smoked salmon and a blob of hollandaise with a coffee. Priced wasn't changed to reflect the lack of carbs so ended up paying £19.20 for this very small meal. To top it off, the food was cold. The venue could be described as Insta-worthy (yawn) but in reality is echoey and really noisy. In future I will stick to my bowl of porridge and blueberries at home and spend £20 on something actually worth that.

A beautiful cafe in the old Royal Mail sorting office. Friendly staff and reasonably fast service. Very clued up about allergens meaning that I could eat gluten free without worrying about cross contamination.

What a find , we were drawn in while passing by the stunning dried flower wreath . Inside this dramatic open space the hive of activity within meant we could not leave without trying the speaciality coffee of the day and it would be rude to pass the hand made croissants being made by the pastry chefs whilst we found a table . It was surprisingly busy for a January Monday morning so the word is out but if you are heading to Sheffield you must go in . Staff are super friendly and helpful , the coffee we tried was really dark and chocolaty sorry I can’t remember the name as it changes but definitely try it . As for the almond croissant, words can not explain just how good it was , large , stuffiest full of delicious almond filling well worth £3.90 . We shall return to this star find and this time I shall not have breakfast first as the brunch dishes looked so good !

Visited twice in recent weeks, on both occasions experienced terrible service, painfully slow to take our order and then took an age to receive the food. The place is very noisy due to no soft furnishings and isn’t especially attractive. The food was nice but I won’t be returning due to the ongoing customer service problems.

The food was exceptional, but I found the staff inattentive. At the time, I attributed this to how busy the café was at Christmas, but seeing the other reviews here suggests it is a problem more generally.

Came in after a long day of walking in the Peak District and needed more snacks. Wasn't all that impressed by the dirt, dust and bits of debris strewn about the floor. The boy who took the order greeted us with all the enthusiasm of a secret arch-nemesis. There's a fairly extensive mention of milkshakes, waffles, ice creams, cakes and other unhealthy options. Ordered 2 Mint Aero cheesecake milkshakes. Both were good, but will not be coming back due to the general messiness of the place.

Sandwiches - sensational! Desserts - delicious! Service - superb! I tend to visit Olive Grove Sandwich Bar every week-or-so. They make a perfect chicken and bacon mayo sandwich with salad. Plus a cornflake cake tart which is to die for. Highly recommended.
